This is a classic example of me forgetting to check the reviews of a website before placing an order. This company even lies on their webpage by stating it's "free shipping and free returns". The "free returns"… Are for store credit only, you don't get your money back otherwise you have to pay for the return. That in and of itself should be illegal. I placed my last order today and will never shop at optics planet again. The item I purchased although was supposed to fit my rifle stock, no mention of dimensions on the webpage so you would assume it's made specifically for your model, right? Not true and yet I still have to pay for my return.
After seeing all the horrible reviews here I feel stupid even buying from them in the first place. Yes customer service is horrible. No they dont stand behind any of their products. Refused to return my item which was defective to the point the bow almost shot my kid in the face. They didn't care. Only returns are unopened items and then its still a fight. Spend your money somewhere else with online stores that appreciate your business.

This company is a joke. I order something from them and 16 days later it still hasn't shipped. They keep blaming FedEx when clearly it is an issue on their end. Unless you want to waste your time and money trying to get your order or a refund, I would find another site to order from. They keep saying they will check and call back - they never call back.
I ordered an item that the website said was in stock back in Oct. It's the end of Dec now and the status for the ship date keeps getting pushed farther back every day. If an item shows it is in stock, I expect it to be shipped in a timely manner, not waiting for months with no clear date of when it will be shipped.
This company borders on fraud by constantly changing the expected shipping dates for backordered products after they are ordered, but far worse is the way their managers act like spoiled children throwing a tantrum when questioned about something that doesn't make sense.
A manager actually cancelled my entire order before it was shipped because I voiced my displeasure at their refusal to ship a legally unrestricted item because of an arbitrary policy that they only want "qualified persons" to own. They're happy to sell it on their site, but they will only ship it if you represent the government. Despite me being calm and professional, out of pettiness for my disagreement about this policy, a manager cancelled the other items in my order out of spite. No one should patron such an unprofessional company!

I ordered two sets of pilots gloves for use as shooting gloves one set small and one medium for my wife and myself. I was charged for the total order after completing online checkout i was then charged for half the order the next day and then for the other half later that day which did not go through as there was not enough money in my account to cover it because they had Already charged me for the whole order. I was also emailed to say that half the order would not ship as it was out of stock even though when i ordered it was shown as in stock after calling to resolve this all the service employee told me was that both were shipping and that i was only charged once for the gloves. I tried to figure out why amd explain that i was charged multiple times which i explained could cause an overdraft on my bank to which the service person said nothing except the generic "is there anything else i can help you with" they then hung up after i became upset. Im going to back charge the order as fraudulent as i dont expect to receive the items.

Ordered an otf knife declined my sale because I'm not a cop. My state is compliant worth them worth proper identification, didn't matter. Helping strengthen that dual class citizenship in Illinois.
I placed an order for boots and anticipated it would be shipped and delivered between 5-10 business days. I contacted customer service when the item had not shipped and was told they would expedite the shipping. Five days later the item shows was shipped but the USPS does not have the package. CS at OpticsPlanet said it takes the USPS to enter a package in their tracking system five days after receiving it. The USPS is not the most reliable shipping service but five days to record receiving a package is unbelievable. When I try to contact OpticsPlanet, they don't answer me via chat. Totally dishonest company. Wil never buy from them again.
Don't use these people, they are not hunters or outdoors people. Waited for ammo two weeks, never sent forms for something regarding shipping. I'd I was going ship ammo out of country would I admit it. Asked repeatedly for email they never sent.
Customer service with opticsplanet is one of the worst I've ever seen. You pay for 3 to 5 days shipping your lucky to get it in 2 to 3 weeks. Every time you contact the company they send the same email out saying you have to wait 15 days before you can file for a lost package. Clearly they don't give a crap about their customers. We'll never order from again!
Order placed 9/2/23 for 2 Romeo4XT-PRO red dot sights and I only received 1 on 9/8/23.
The package was a bubble lined bag and not a properly packaged shipping box. I took pictures of this package before and after opening it because of the poor packaging. There was only 1 sight inside the bag and there was damage to all corners of the Sig Sauer box. There wasn't even room for the second sight inside this bag. I returned the only sight I received back to Optics Planet in the same bubble lined bag for a full refund for both sights on the same day. Optics Planet received the returned package on 9/11/23 and I did not receive my refund. I called customer service numerous times the following day and finally got through to a representative. The customer service representative only issued me a refund for one of the sights and inquired with a supervisor on issuing me my full amount. The supervisor required me to complete a Carrier Claim Form to be refunded my full amount. I completed and submitted the form, sent OP numerous pictures proving I did not receive the second sight, and I am still owed over five hundred dollars to be refunded to my PayPal account. After numerous emails to OP without receiving my full refund, I was forced to file a case in the resolution center with PayPal on 9/18/23. I am still waiting for my full refund.
This has been a massive inconvenience to me and I am especially disappointed in the way this situation has been handled thus far. I wish I would have reviewed the Better Business Bureau (BBB) profile of this company before doing business with them.
I went through this last time and forgot. The product was clearly not in stock. Label created, but didn't ship for another FIVE DAYS. Then was sent via DHL, it's now been another 10 days and still no product. Good luck getting any kind of information from customer service. I will not buy anything from Optics Planet again.
They assured me what I ordered was correct, it was not. I asked for a picatinny rail with the recoil lug. Was told this one had it. It doesn't. Now to get a reply or response is not happening. Never again will I give them my buisness.
I had to contact customer service 3 times on the phone and twice via email and my stuff was still sent to the wrong address. They also split my order because they didn't have one part in stock. I paid with pay pal. Then when they got my part in stock they refused to send it unless I got back on pay pal and pay a second shipping fee. When I didn't they just cancelled my order. I will never buy from this site again.

Thanks but no thanks for future orders. No pkg, internal protection damaged most boxes.
Moat all corners on boxes broken off. 3 of the 10 boxes are broken or cracked.
Additionally, for three days I tried to confirm the order shipment update. Your email indicated the order in transit but your website indicated I had nothing on order.

They lie about which products are in stock, they rarely deliver and if they do it takes MONTHS. I ordered a barrel, a grip screw washer, a 10rd magazine, a box of ammo, and a QD loop back in Feb 2023. The barrel was "in stock" until I ordered it, then it said it was back ordered till September 2023, so I cancelled it. They sent me an email in July 2023 saying that grip screw washers are illegal in Washington state, they are not. I'm assuming they're just so incompetent that they just decided not send it. I got the box of ammo and the QD loop after about a month. The magazine? Same story as the barrel, it was "in stock" until I ordered it, then it was backordered for a "unknown" period of time, still haven't gotten it 6 months later. This company is an absolute joke and it's not even funny. Worst business practices I have ever seen in my life from any company, ever. Do not spend money here, you won't get your order anyway. I'd rate 0 stars if I could.
Answer: They ripped us off too. I'm going to file a BBB complaint and will mention I'm not the only one the took $$ from and never delivered my order and accused us of lying about it.
