Ordered a rug about a month ago. After something like a week I received an email saying that the item was no longer available, something they should have told me right away, and probably not have had the item listed in the first place. A day later I ordered another rug. I did receive a receipt but no word as to when or if the rug would be delivered. When I went to the website to check my account I found that neither of my transactions had ever been noted and the message was "no account t activity". This morning I checked the Etsy website, found rugs of a much better quality at a similar price with a promise of shipment within days and delivery within a week or so. In the case of both Etsy and OKL the rugs ship from Turkey.

I received two very defective outdoor umbrella stands. I did the usual customer service email, and they say they will get back to you in 24-36 hours. Well, I have now written three times with no response AT ALL. I have NEVER encountered such poor customer service and I will NEVER EVER EVER order anything from them again. How do they stay in business. Next time I will read reviews before ordering, because I can see here I am far from the first person to have this problem.
I ordered a sculpture from this company in late April. After emailing them (no less than 5 times) about the item being badly damaged in shipping I got the run around for three weeks month. I finally had to go to Amex to get reimbursed. I called to see if I could get to the bottom of what was going on and I was told sorry but your wait to get a response of 3 weeks is actually short and some people have had to wait a month. This company is terrible and I can quite honestly say I have have never been treated so poorly by a company as One Kings Lane! In addition items are full price and you can go online and find them somewhere else, often for less so I highly recommend you stay away!
I was thrilled to shop at One King's Lane for a new home in October 2016. Found a perfect 6.5' x 9.5' outdoor rug for my screened in porch, which is protected from weather by a conventional roof, has a wooden floor, and can be used year round, depending on outdoor conditions. Laid the rug down on November 15,2016. In March 2017, I noticed that one solid black "thread" was breaking along the outside edges into tiny squares. On March 30, I photographed the breakage and contacted OKL online; followed by sending the photos, etc. On April 10, having heard nothing, I contacted Customer Service again, and was asked to resend the photos with description of damage. I did. On April 28, having heard nothing, I contacted Customer Service again, and was asked to resend the photos... you get the picture. (Though they claimed THEY hadn't rec'd the pictures previously.) I resent the photos and asked and rec'd notification of their receipt. On May 17, having heard nothing, I contacted Customer Service AGAIN, to be told the rug had been discontinued. I asked if that was their last comment on my poorly chosen selection and payment in full. I was told someone (supervisor, I believe) would call me shortly. That afternoon, I received an email from Rosa offering 3 rugs for purchase. I immediately replied, asking if that was the limit of their obligation for having sold a worthless product. No reply. I want my money back. An "outdoor flatweave, 55% rubber, 45% polypropylene" should not simply fall apart in 4 months on a seriously covered, screened in porch. As of now, the black strips are beginning to break inside the rug as well as along the edges. This rug has been walked on VERY VERY little. On two occasions, I had 3 guests and we utilized that room.
I was willing to wait 2 months for some sconces, but when I called after those 2 months were up to make sure they were coming, I was strung along for 2.5 more weeks before they finally told me they were out of stock. Mind you, I was speaking with a Supervisor every other day and she just kept saying they were coming any day now.
This co. Used to be good several years ago, but they've gone way downhill. They are no longer reliable. Avoid at all costs1
Evidently, One Kings Lane changed over their computer system and they cannot process returns. I have been trying to return 2 pillows for over 2 months. There is no computer problem in the world that would take 2 months to remedy. I've talked to customer service multiple times and they keep saying I will get an email for the return shortly. NEVER happens. I love their items but I can't see EVER ordering from them again!
I bought an $850 chandelier on One Kings Lane. The item was defective and I sent it back. It took them way over a month to process my refund (did it via phone). Then I get a gift card instead of a refund in my original form of payment (credit card)! So now I am stuck with a gift card that I don't need (i already bought a good quality chandelier). They claim I chose that method of refund, which is not true, that was entered by the agent. Now they can't process the change because of their finance systems... as if that was my fault.
I am telling you, this is a scam. You are better off buying from reputable stores like Crate and Barrel or Restoration Hardware, they have processed my refunds in the past super fast and in my original form of payment.
Now, I might have to sell this unwanted gift card at a discount and lose money...
I bought a rug from them at the end of March, they sent the wrong rug. I then spent two weeks trying to get them to pick up the rug and return my money to me. It is 4 weeks later and I still have not been reimburse for my $700. I had three other rugs I was going to buy, and I have decide to use Joss and Main instead.
Don't waste your time!
I ordered a sheep skin rug online in September 2016. I requested that the order be cancelled after delayed shipping with no information on when to expect delivery. Despite this request the rug was inadvertently shipped to me. I contacted the company to get return authorization since I no longer wanted the rug. I returned the unused rug in original shipping package. Company received package and indicated they'd issue a refund. After numerous telephone calls and emails as of April 2017 I've still not received the $289.00 refund as promised. Stay away from this company. Very poor business practices.
One Kings Lane has beautiful (also pricy) home furnishings. I purchased several items, including a very large jute area rug (heavy!) after moving recently.
I was pleased to see that the rug came with automatic "white glove service" for delivery and set-up as it is a large and heavy item.
After placing the order I have experienced nothing close to white glove service. In fact, this has been some of the worst customer service from a high-end company.
-no one ever contacted me about delivery or set up of the rug, it was simply left outside my door
- when I attempted to follow return directions on website, order history and item specific return features were gone (supposedly they moved to a new server)
- when I called customer service they said only w white glove specialist could handle my case and someone would be in touch, no one got in touch
-when I called again and asked for the specialist and was told everyone had left for the day (3pm) and when I pushed, finally got someone
- and so on and so on
- after 5 calls and repeated complaints I was finally able to get them to arrange for pick-up of the rug
- now here's the kicker- I was promised a full refund after the item was picked up. And guess what, the item has been picked up and returned to their warehouse and still no refund! (Over a week!) I probably shod have known better at this point.
In short, once OKL has your money, they could not give two hoots about the experience of their customers. Be wary my fellow shoppers!
Received a broken vase and was told i would receive a refund. 5 weeks later, i am still waiting. Even after numerous calls and emails. Have been put on hold with a promise of a call back. And my case was even escalated!

We ordered two cabinets and they tried delivering the wrong items 3 different times. 4 months later we still do not have them and just received a cancellation of our order. When we called customer service we sat on hold for 30 minutes with no one answering. Worst company I have ever dealt with.

I ordered a beautiful print of flowers that were very colorful on the website. I received a low quality black and white image of what was on the website. I called 5 times for customer service to help and they continued to tell me "someone will contact you within 24 to 48 hours". I am trying to return an item that was sold to me under false advertisement.

I wanted to replace my two LL Bean end tables. They are beautifully made but the only had one drawer.
The end tables I ordered from OKL had three drawers but they were very poor quality. Drawers were difficult to pull out and you can see on the side of one of them where it is separating.
I would return them but such a hassle and I will bring them to our place in Maine.
Wish I read these reviews before I bought them.

I purchased 2 Christmas decorative pillows. I had to pay $40 shipping to hawaiii and 2 1/2 weeks later they have made it to California. This is ridiculous. I hope I get before Christmas!
At this point in my furniture purchase with OKL I would NOT recommend them. I ordered a table designed into my eat in kitchen by their design partner Decorist. Their designer was great and the furniture pieces ordered through them while bumpy on the quality/fit has had excellent customer service. During the design process the table went out of stock so the designer tried to select another. We were not successful and qty 1 table showed back up in inventory so I was directed to order it direct through OKL. I was excited to get the table I desired; delivery service was fine but the WRONG table was delivered. I contacted OKL customer service immediately last Thursday 10/13 and opened a case with them. I was instructed they would contact the vendor, get a return pickup scheduled and find out when I could get the correct table. I have had ZERO communication with them since, even despite calling them again yesterday 10/17 when I was told no matter what someone would get back with me on 10/17. No return. At this point I should have trusted my gut and paid more to get the table through Restoration Hardware which actually has some customer service.
Vintage items are outrageously priced. You can find items much cheaper at your local vintage store or second hand thrift store. Seriously.
I've used One Kings Lane a couple times and every time I'm disappointed.
Most recent purchase was supposed to arrive 10-12 days. 7 days after purchase, my bank account showed the payment. 11 days after purchase I receive an email stating the order was cancelled and that I was never charged so the matter was considered closed.
I called costumer service who did not show the cancellation not the charge. Weird. After waiting 10 min, I am told that an inquiry was made, after 48 hours I would receive confirmation of the cancellation and then another 3-5 days later funds would be released.
I simple stated that wasn't good enough. They finally confirmed that the order was cancelled on the same day my account was charged. They waited several days to notify me of the cancellation but still maintained that I would have to wait 3-5 days for the funds to be released.
At this point I asked to speak to the finance person IM'ing with the customer service tech. The finance person, Tiffany, said she was too busy. I requested to speak to Tiffany's supervisor and was told that Joseph was too busy.
All I wanted was to understand why my account was charged the same day it was supposedly cancelled and to have the charges reversed.
After wasting my time, I hung up frustrated and disappointed with One Kings Lane which seems to be the norm for them
So I have no product and fingers crossed in 3-5 days the funds will return to my account.
I will not give them another chance. I have closed my account and so have a few friends who have had similar experiences with them

Ordered two sofas on June 13. Delivery date changed three times. Finally recd in Sept damaged. Could not get answer on if replacement was available for ten days. Finally returned sofas. On top of this, OKL charged me for the sofas long before they shipped and never issued promised credit until sofas were returned. Their cust service send canned language emails but don't address the issues. My worst experience ever. I will never, ever use this company again.
