I used MyUS for years and I have two stories for you:
1. Now due to corona they can no longer export medical items out of US; I had some masks from China with them since March 2020 and they charged me for months 15USD EVERY DAY for a small box of face masks - storage tax :)) )
Oh wait it gets better, I was told that I should discard the item if I don't want it... the only issue is that the interface (online - web or mobile app) doesn't offer you this option.
Now that I canceled my account they again charged me 40USD for having to throw away (or just keep it for themselves) the face masks.
1 box of 50 face masks costs ~ 200USD per month, more than my garage rent in Switzerland for a 2 tons car (180 USD).
2/ A few years ago, I placed an order to have my goods delivered by MyUS to a location in Europe. A few hours later I realized that I should have sent the package to Dubai (where I was living). However, not only that MyUS refused to stop the package from being sent but also when it arrived in Customs they wanted to take it back and all of a sudden become much more responsive and very interested in recovering my goods for themselves...
So asking them to simply do stop the delivery and have the goods sent to the correct address was too much of an effort for them but recovering the package from oversees to keep 2000+USD goods for themselves that activated them very fast :).
Just check out alternatives - MUCH cheaper and better service.
Lost my package and 3 weeks later I still have not received compensation, package or decent apology. I keep asking daily updates and issue is not being handled. Avoid at all costs!

MYUS is automatically connected to your paypal, and they can take money from you, when ever they want, and how much they want. You wont even get a refund from paypal. I bet you didnt know, that they are conected.
They told me shipping is 16.99$, and they charge 47$, without me confirming it. They are scam, with hidden fees, and you will get big headache with them.
Your payment was only $17.05 for the shipment, we can provide you with the invoice that also shows that information.
I have been usig MYUS COM for a couple of months and I find their service outstanding. Whenever I need assistance, I send them aan email and MATTHEW replies almost immediately. Really, congratulations to Matthew. He is excellent!

I shipped a $80 keyboard with MyUS. They charged $35 for shipping. Then FedEx which was their carrier asked for additional $30 as a handling fee in addition to customs. I refused to pay that and their representative hung up. Then nobody answered at FedEx and no one at myUs could provide useful information.
After a month my package returned to MyUS center, where they instantly charged me $270 for the FedEx return shipping and want me to pay again for a second shipping to my address.
Never in my life have I been so outrageously wronged by a delivery company. That whole fiasco sent me back $300 and I still haven't received my package.
I ordered for a loose phone battery, it probably gave them a hard time because of all the restrictions with the shipping companies, but they never withheld the parcel, and delivered it to my doorstep via dhl. It was great.

We ordered via My US several things from Amazon to be shipped to Costa Rica. But before ordering, we asked if they could bring these items in, which required health permits. They said they could. Long and short, they shipped via Fed EX, did no customs paperwork or permit applications. Fed Ex said they don't do that. Finally Fed Ex helped us out. It took From Feb 8,2021 to May 27,2021 to get all the red tape straightened out. Meanwhile, we cancelled our account with MyUS. We had purchased insurance on the package. The package arrived damaged. When communicating with My US, they said we had to pay a reinstatement fee in order to make a claim with our prepaid insurance. Just to compare, our other shipper, Aeropost, gets all the paperwork done and items through customs and health permits in under 3 weeks. So does Jet Box. Has to be the worst experience ever with a shipper. And I am aghast at being asked to pay reinstatement fee in order to make a claim on paid up insurance. Don't use this company.

I live in Australia and I was looking for a service to help my designer in the US ship me some wallcovering. The supplier would not ship direct. I signed up with MyUS and had it shipped to my suite there, they in turn reshipped it to me in Australia. I found their rate very competitive. I was provided a tracking number and could follow the package. FedEx contacted me separately for import and custom duties. I was initially concerned as the package had shipper delays due to the winter storm in the US. I would have liked to have been able to call someone at MyUS directly - I'm old school that way. As a call was not an option, I did email and was pleasantly surprised I got a relatively prompt reply. All in all I was very pleased with my experience and would recommend the service to others. I had a confusing issue concerning charges with duties and taxes and the chat support helped me greatly, specifically a man named John. He answered all of my questions calmly and explained everything to me. It was greatly appreciated and I will be returning to use My US after this great experience.
- I tried to register. The "instant" registry took two days and was "declined" without reason.
- Phone hotline not offered for non-customers. So how can you contact for registration problems? Upon selecting "I am a customer" call was cut instantly
+ Overall good appearings of website and great shipping prices
- external links for shipper's restrictions were outdated and gave error pages.
- Online Chat has long waiting times. No audible notification, constant connection issue and restarting to get in the queue. I gave up. Otherwise, you must stare at your screen and not do anything else for 10-30 Minutes.

If there is a -10 star i would have selected iutIf youa re attracted to the low price, be careful, the items will take a LONG time before it is shipped. When contacted they claim you have to fill up ECCN which cannot be accessed from USA. If the ships directly from USA, themselves, you will not need to fill anything up.
I then went on to research to find out what eccn details it is and sent it to them. Theynever replied.
My item till date is still stuck with them and its over USD $3000l

Do not use this company. Terrible service. Fedex never delivered by package because MyUS gave them the wrong e-mail address for me. Further, Fedex contacted MyUS on Dec 1 for customs information and not only did they not provide the needed information, they also didn't contact me until 1 week later, which was too late and shipment was thus returned. It's impossible to contact customer service. You have to wait on chat for 2+ hours and no one answers the phone. When I finally managed to get hold of someone, they tried to blame me, and then said the matter needed to be referred to upper management and I would get a response within 1-2 business days. 2 months later and no resolution. Not a single e-mail has been received, other than emails charging me shipping fees. Last week, they attempted to ship the package back. I asked them to cancel the shipment right away and this was not done. I had to call Fedex and cancel it. The last customer service rep cancelled the chat when I asked her to resolve the issue. I just filed a complaint with Better Business Bureau.

I consistently get terrible support from myus they don't really provide customer support. The ignore emails and if they do respond they ignore questions. Recently "customer service" reps that stand out for absolutely terrible support is Beatrice she's continues to not provide any help very unpleasant experience.
I encourage all reviewers to name customer service reps the fail to do their jobs and provide customer service.

The concept offered by MyUS.com is appealing, but it's performed in a wrong way.
1) Be ready that they will inflate your US purchase value for the package, even when you provide them with the original invoice. For example I've bought 4 kitchen mats for $165 at Amazon and my MyUS guys wanted to put a $280 sticker on it, which will make you pay more for customs, shipping, insurance, everything.
2) MyUs.com doesn't offer economical way to ship your items to Canada, only premium few days delivery, with a Very High Price tag. For my 4 kitchen mats (not available in Canada) at $165 value, MyUS wanted $240USD! For shipping! I don't mind to wait for a couple of weeks in this case & lower shipping cost, but NO MyUs.com in not interested to charge you less:)
MyUS.com service might be ok for very small & expensive items (just watch for the "value inflation" game), but for everything else it's NOT good - you will end up paying 300% of original price in the end.
Update: I've tried to leave my not so positive review at MyUs.com website and guess what, after filling in all fields at MyUs.com I got the message that they are "not able to publish my feedback", because "I don't have a proper internet connection" :) advising me to "check my internet connection" :): ) :) Well my high speed internet is working fine to post this Google review, but not "good enough" to post the same review at MyUs.com website :)) ) This is sooooo wrong. Most likely they use AI to pre-screen wording in reviews & pretend that there is an "internet connection" problem whenever review says what they don't want to hear :)) ) It would be funny, if it would not be so sad...

Answer: Micaela, it all depends on the rules in Peru. I'm a MyUS customer and one of the reasons I like their service is because they give me a discount on the shipping cost, each time. There's an option in your shipping settings where you can select 'label as gift', usually customs aren't charged on gift items. Maybe you should try that once. Works for me all the time. To do process that request you would select the package in your account and then use the drop down menu that lists the option to discard the package. Storage fees are charged for packages that are over 30 days in storage. Unfortunately we have no control over FEMA restrictions regarding shipping masks. We are only able to reroute shipments with certain carriers not all of our carriers will reroute a shipment. In those cases the return may be requested so that we can ship it back out to the correct address.
