This would be a much better service but.... they make you pay for everything! even picking up your own mail... shredding one thing cost you.. its ridiculous.
Thanks for your review. Please keep in mind that most addresses on iPostal1.com cost just $9.99 per month. That's a great value, especially when you consider it comes with the convenience of digital mailbox service. You would easily pay twice that for PO Box with the USPS or for a regular physical mailbox at other locations. Since a physical mailbox is a self-service model, there is no charge to pick up your mail. However, with our digital mailbox service, there is time and labor involved to process the task and retrieve the mail, so it is only fair that there should be a pickup fee.
We feel that a low monthly fee with fees for on-demand optional services is the fairest way to price. If we increased the monthly mailbox price to offer ‘free’ pickup, for example, then the customers who don’t pick up their mail would subsidize the cost for those who do. Same for content scans or other services. The convenience of a digital mailbox is that it saves you time and money, and allows you to view and manage your mail from anywhere. You can’t do that with a PO Box or a regular physical mailbox.
Excellent for organizations that have Board Members across the state and thus their office locations change.
I'm out of the US and it is a tremendous help not having to worry about the mail. The staff is very competent.

I've been using iPostal1 for about a year. I've moved out of the city to a rural area 50 miles away, but I wanted to keep a mailing address in the city. iPostal1 has solved this problem for me completely. The best part is that when a check arrives they will deposit it for me. Customer service is local and excellent. I have recommended iPostal1 to several colleagues.

Have been with iPostal for a couple years, I use it for my main address and have just about everything sent to it! I usually have my mail forwarded to where ever I'm at, or if I'm near my iPostal box I can just drop in and pick up from the friendly couple that run the business. I just recently noticed they have a option to open and scan the contents which is then emailed to me.
iPostal1 made it easy to maintain a valid mailing address while traveling. Convenient, easy, and they were able to handle special requests, like forwarding mail to me on the road, efficiently. I loved the service.

Overall, I have been very satisfied with the services of iPostal1. The staff at the Ellicott City, MD location has been very helpful over the past 18 months that I have subscribed to your service. Sometimes, I don't get a response to my request for action i.e. scanning or shipping an item, etc, for a few days or so. This might be due to a heavy work load at their location. I understand that your services have become more popular since I started my subcription.Am I correct in assuming this? The scans are always delayed.... a few times they have "lost" some of my mail.. other times I paid for scans of other peoples mail and never got my money back... overall its a great service for someone who is travelling or needs a mailing address but when it comes down to the staffing level at each postal location.... you never really know what your going to get
Love working with i postal such a helpful and affordable option for collecting mail! I receive an email with a message that I have received some mail at ipostal, I go onto the site and choose what I want to happen to my mail, then it's finished! Quick easy and inexpensive!
before account opening (florida office) their homepage and email (see attachment) states if you live outside US and only plan to receive packages you need form 1583 and one id (no notarization). after receiving my package (and no mail) they were demanding two ids and a notarized 1583 form in order to access my package. they offered me a link to notarize for 75$. I discarded my package. very misleading information in best case. very disappointing, don´t use!

The message that pops up in your digital mailbox when you sign up does clearly state that the Form 1583 is required to be notarized. Unfortunately, the follow up email that you received said otherwise regarding someone who lives outside the U.S. and receives just packages. This was left over from an earlier policy that we have since changed. We will be updating the follow up email to avoid any confusion in the future. By the way, our website does not say anything about notarization not required for someone who lives outside the U.S. and receives only packages. In fact, our FAQ section on Form 1583 does explicitly mention that notarization is required.
Generally have no issues. Customer service is good. Dashboard used for incoming and outgoing mail works perfectly.
Never a disappointment in product or service, cannot say anything negative, which is how a service should work, without drama or issues.
They alert when i have old mail and always take my call when I have a question. I've had the service for 2 years now and no problems.
i travel outside the country all the time, iPostal1 is a great substitute to rely on. In 3 years I never had a concern.
once configured all is set up and automation and notifications are a breeze. mobile app works great. web login works great. very low maintenance and most recommended for virtual address mailing and faxing. 2Two thumbs up!
I have been using this service for 2 years. I am happy with the service, for the most part. My only major complaints have to do with the app. It is not always user friendly.
Before I signed on to this service I went into the Postal Box service that would receive my mail and met the person who would be responsible for scanning any mail I would request. That set my mind at ease. They are professional and kind. I have not had an issue with them.

Yes, Miriam, these concerns have been resolved. iPostal1 no longer requests additional information for credit card verification. For the record, the original 'problem' was never a real problem, as iPostal1 requested additional information only in a very small percentage of cases when we could not verify a credit card. And even then, we requested that customers blacken out all but the last four digits of the credit card and blacken out the security code. The original review omitted these important facts. In order that there should not be any further concerns, we modified our verification process 6 months ago and do not ever request additional information for credit card verification.
