Simple to use system but honestly, lacks in many places, just not as good as gmail or outlook.
I like the many extensions you can sign up to for free, but otherwise, meh.
I strongly advise to move your e mails out of this no god provider I lost tons of money because PSN got hackt can't reset e mail does not exist and customer support do not communicate I send about 200 mesagi ant nothing this is the worst email provider in the world
It's good but it's office is really trying to copy Microsoft Office.
Just why did mail.com do this why. Also there is too much ads.(PS my normal email's domain is outlook.com)
Mail.com has me locked out Facebook & Amazon due to them deleting my account. This has caused me a lot of stress & I'm still trying to figure out how to get back on those sites without access to my account for verification. I've been going back & forth with them to no avail. Like many of you, I didn't know about the 6 month inactivity thing. I thought they might forward my last emails so I can verify, access, & change emails but they refuse. They are the absolute worst email address ever! Please don't use it! They are so mean & don't care about you.
I have contacted the BBB about this hoping to at least get the verification security emails forwarded but they won't. They are heartless & they know exactly how important verification emails are. You will get a hard time & lose your account access if you can't verify. Its been a week & they haven't responded to the BBB because they don't care about how many bad reviews they get. Worst customer service on the planet! I will never, ever use or recommend. If you have any trouble they don't give a you know what.
To top it off they gave my address to someone else & said they are blocking the account from both of us. So that person will be locked out of their account too all because they chose the same address name I had. That's not fair & we don't deserve this. I would never keep someone from their verification emails that gives them access to their accounts simply because they didn't login enough. I hope all websites who have users signed up with Mail.com just give us leniency. If you had the misfortune of signing up with this email provider you deserve a automatic second chance! I can't say this enough, they are horrible!. I wish I never came across them & I'm upset they even came up in my Google search. Save yourself the trouble & do not use!
Don't bother. Use gmail. Everything is awful. The search function is very limited. I was switched automatically years ago and barely bother to check it. I keep it now just in case.
DO NOT TRUST OR USE THESE PARASITES. You will lose all your data when they choose to simply block your account for no reason and will then simply ignore you. BE WARNED.
I was sent an email account link by this company because I was a "valued customer". But i'dnever heard of them!
So their first action seems to be a lie. So why think they will change?
This service is BEYOND awful! Heed my warning! My god, they are an absolute SCAM! I signed up and within the same day, before I sent ANY emails, I already had spam emails showing up. So either their security sucks or they sell the email names. When I complained, they blamed ME for not setting up my folders. THEN, I said cancel my account and no reply. I sent a 2ND email saying cancel, and they wrote back with a "special" offer to keep me, but if I still wanted to cancel, then I had to COPY AND PASTE a "cancellation phrase" EXACTLY to cancel. I did that and they sent another email saying that "if I really wanted to cancel then type this 2ND phrase exactly AND give us all your information again or we can't cancel"
LEARN FROM ME... DO NOT USE THEM AND TELL YOUR FRIENDS NOT TO USE THEM.
I've been using mail.com for over 20 years without one problem. I initially created the mail.com account as an expendable burner account back in the 1990's but it worked fine and I got a great email address so I just kept using it. I used it for things where I didn't want my business email exposed to advertisers and spammers. I had other similar free accounts from other providers that I abandoned when the spam got to thick. But the mail.com account never got hopelessly overrun with spam so I've kept it and used it regularly. Perhaps they have a lower tolerance for spammers. I was just reading their reviews and most people who left poor reviews complained of being blocked. I wonder why? Perhaps they are the spammers. I've have been an IT professional and Systems Analyst for over 30 years. I don't know anything at all about mail.com as a company, who they are, where they are, their fitness, etc. I only know I've have been using my mail.com account for over 20 years without a single hiccup. I even prefer it over my gmail account. I've recommended mail.com to others who have used it for years also without problems. So there you have it. My $0.02 is 5 stars.
They never replied back. First time i contacted them was to see why my email suddenly does not exist, that was 5 months ago. Now i contacted them 2 days ago and do not have my hopes up
I have used the same email for years and have always logged in to keep it active. I go to log in and I receive a message saying your email address does not exist. Are you kidding me!?
Years ago back when I first started to use the internet, I got an email address there for my business. I thought it would be better having *******@email.com address than one locked to my ISP. Like using a PO Box instead of the street address in case I move the business.
Eventually, we started using mail.com's mail collector. Since I wasn't the only one using and responding to emails, and I was using multiple computers, it seemed like a very good idea to have email centralized. Someone else can take care of something and file it, for example.
Unfortunately, there are a few problems.
First, the search function for emails is ridiculously limited. You can only search headers: to, from, subject, etc. You cannot search email content at all.
Secondly, the mail collector app change the browser to make mail.com the default for all internet searches.
The display page for emails is the kind that has buttons that don't appear until you hover the mouse over them. Great, clean, once you know them, but not so good when you're learning their site.
Worse, I have been locked out of my emails three times this week and the week isn't over.
When I called yesterday, they told me that I should NOT send any emails to anyone who hasn't already contacted me by email. Really? That's not the way to run a business.
When it locked me out today, they said the would upgrade my problem, but to not use our email account for "AWHILE". And that I should expect 24 hours before they can get back to me.
Really? I'm supposed to ignore business emails for 24 hours.
They keep screwing around with the email login screen. They hide. They want you to join their premium services.
They will block you if you don't upgrade, which means that any social media that you use with these idiots will go down the drain. Ads, ads, ads. Stay away!
I set up this account 3 months ago to receive rsvp's to my wedding. 3 days ago they blocked my account due to irregular activity. I have asked them to contact me but I have heard nothing.
Mail.com is fine I like there security but I just started mail.com but it seems good.
I do like it so far but the best thing about it is you don't need a phone number like aol but aol is pretty good.
I cannot remember my password. I used my birthday to get access to change my password and it says it is the wrong birthday. I just created the email in June and use it for twitter

Until recently, not bad for a free email option, but now Sophos is rejecting emails originating from mail.com. Too bad if you are trying to send email to a server protected by Sophos.
They track you and the captcha keep popping up with picture test and its very annoying. It very slow and it sucks too. They say to protect us but not really. A friend have this email service and i use it but they dont even care who referral me to it. Like it doesnt matter. There are better mail service such as google yahoo msn hotmail and many other. Search for best email service. Competition is good why rely on this one piece of crap that treat us like object and could careless about our privacy. Unreliable service cause it take 30 minute or more for me to receive mail from someone when it should take second ridiculous too. They must be running it on a slow server and outdated stuff say 2000 and its a joke. Also it full of spam and i had to use adguard lite to block the crap out of it lol
I use firefox browser v67.0 quantum version it fast and the best in my opinion
If they block me oh well they just lost a valuable customer and i will tell everyone about it and soon they go bankrupt. This is ultimatum. Be nice or be dumped like trash.
Answer: Sane happened to me after paying for premium service for more than a decade.
