Purchased a "New Open-Box" chair from Madison Seating on eBay and received a used and poorly refurbished chair. Upholstery was re-wrapped with visible staples and excess material, vinyl wrapped armrests, painted parts and over spray and chair was dirty. I contacted them multiple times to fix get them to send me what their listing stated. They refused to acknowledge that they sent me a refurbished chair and even threatened to "block" me. Thank god for eBay's money back guarantee. Do your research before you buy from these scammers. Owner has been sued by Herman Miller TWICE and Steelcase flags them as gray market sellers… basically selling junk.
If I could give company 0 stars, I would. If you have read other reviews, mine falls into "item in stock" "delivery 10-14 days" that was on February 25th. It is now April 7th and now delivery is expected at the end of April because of supply chain issues. I am here to state that if you can't prepare an in stock item for shipping in a more reasonable time than this, you are probably in the wrong business. It might be time to re-evaluate your purpose in life, because it sure doesn't meet the goals that you have stated on your website. The old adage of "if it is to good to be true, then it usually is a scam" has never rang truer.
I ordered a life chair through Madison Seating. It came as promised but one part was defective. I reached out to customer service who was very responsive. They made good on it and replaced the chair right away. Their response via email and through the phone was great and they took care of the issue immediately. They take customer service very seriously and told us to keep the chair with the defective part in order to speed up the process. We will continue to order products from them!
We had a chair will a small issue, and even though we were late reporting the issue, Madison Seating still sent us a brand new chair at no additional cost. We buy all of our office chairs from Madison Seating, because of the great prices and service. If you are in the market for good office chairs and don't want to pay a ridiculous amount, I highly advise you look nowhere else other than Madison Seating.
After a little mix-up with the billing info not allowing them to bill me, I got a phone call apologizing and ensuring the order would be going out with only a couple extra day delay. That personal touch of a person call was a nice touch.
Suggestion for Madison Seating: provide the Tracking ID or an update on when we as customers can expect to get the tracking ID.

As far as their open box specials are concerned, I have been placing orders for my company with Madisonseating.com since 2012. We have never had an issue with the quality of the chairs. We saved thousands of dollars and received nothing less than top notch chairs. We requested warranty service on a few arms, as many of our employees tend to push the chair under the desk. The warranty service was seamless and interacting with the customer service staff was great.

I ordered an Aeron chair for my son. When it didn't come in a reasonable amount of time, I emailed them. They said they didn't have the color, but they had a purple one. We took it and it was on his porch in fewer days than expected, in beautiful condition. WHAT I LOVE about Madison Seating is that I got a personal email reply immediately. We changed the delivery date when my son was going to be out of town. My son is ecstatic with the comfort of the chair. I am delighted with communication. Bravo.
Thoroughly disappointed with the customer service with this company. I placed an order, and when they didn't have it in stock, someone reached out to me, asking about a different chair that was in stock. After advising of my preference, I subsequently received a new invoice at a higher cost. I was a little miffed that this wasn't explained to me and reached out for clarification instead of being provided with an explanation, they promptly canceled my order altogether. I then had to submit a whole new order, which was highly inconvenient. I had already placed my order and they should've not canceled what we had in place. I would not recommend a company like this who doesn't have any common courtesy for their customers.
They consistently list products as "available" that are not - even after reaching out to customer service to confirm them. I waited a couple months for a $1000 office stool that their customer service confirmed was in stock, only to find out later that they didn't actually have one and then canceled my order. So I asked customer service about other chairs that were listed as available now just to learn that they actually aren't - instead, my purchase would be "wait listed"
Do not place order with this people. No stocks means no shipping for your purchases as long as 14 business days. That means more than 3weeks at the time of your order is placed. Customer service is a joke too. I honestly don't know how they're still in business.
This buyer made a purchase for a chair before the weekend. He was informed regarding the delivery estimate of 10 business days in his email confirmation. When he learned that our delivery estimate was based on the recent Jewish High Holidays closures he responded in the following way "... who cares for Jewish Holidays lol it's not even a national holiday. You people makes me laugh... It’s your stupid business practice that I have issues with your morons. I will definitely report this harassed to bbb myself." We did not flag this review with Sitejabber, as we want the public to understand how a 1 star rating gets posted and what kind of people are behind (and hide behind) these reviews. We were not late in our shipping and this customer was informed regarding the delivery estimate every step of the way. The next time you read a negative review, you might want to remember the type of people that are writing these reviews before you form an opinion on the target.

I would like to commend Madison Seating for their outstanding customer service. Before I purchased my office chair, I reached out and requested a price match, which they happily did for me. Next, my chair was delivered with a few problems. After a few email exchanges they offered to replace my chair and let me keep the defective chair for spare parts- absolutely for free. Their prices, warranty, and customer service is unmatched.

Before purchasing, I saw the mixed reviews on Madison Seating but decided to take a chance in light of the low price. After I placed the order, there was an issue regarding shipping. I contacted Madison Seating by email and they immediately resolved the issue and I received the chair within a few days. The chair was described as "open box" which also raised some concerns but was in perfect condition when it arrived. Very happy with the purchase and would consider buying from them again."
I bought a leap chair v2 from them. It came with three parts, the chair, the cylinder, and the wheel base. After putting it together, the height adjustment lever would not keep the hydraulics up. I emailed them and they were very responsive to email offering solutions. I went through their youtube video and instructions to try to fix it. There is a clip and slides almost like bumps at the bottom of the chair that can be access with a long flat head or flat metal shimmy. I tried for about 3 hours before giving up. This likely is the issue to try to adjust the piston from the seat. I may not be doing it right so I contacted them again. They said that they will send me a new chair to try it. You cannot ask more of their customer service. They are continuing to get this resolve for me. I appreciate it.
I bought a Steelcase Leap V2 from this dealer from ebay.com. Received a really beautiful chair that looks like a new one for less than half of the original price. Unfortunately, the back support is broken near a joint. Not sure this was happened during the shipping/handling or at the origin, I don't care. What I received was a broken piece and I need help with this now. With lots of questions in my mind, I reach out to madison seating, the response was really quick and very positive. They mentioned that this could have happened during the shipping/handling but they really care about customer satisfaction so they asked me to keep the broken chair to avoid the hassle of repacking everything and shipping back and also promised to ship a good one again soon. I am really happy with their customer experience and products. If you really want a good chair like Steelcase or Herman Miller and can't afford the full price, I recommend trying madison seating.
If I could give a negative number of stars to indicate my experience with this company I would. I placed my order and was informed that my order was canceled as they could not fulfill the order. However, when I review their website I find the same table still for sale. Either they don't have the item, they are incapable of filling orders, or are misleading potential customers about items they do have in stock. Obviously, their website is not an accurate representation of their actual inventory, which is frustrating as a customer.
As a reseller for the furniture featured on our website, the manufacturer dictates the update on the stock and impending inventory. All customer's are notified immediately of a backorder and can be assured we do not charge if an item is not readily available.
It is misleading. They sold us a chair, it arrived damaged, they refused to ship a replacement until they had received the broken chair back, even though Fed Ex had record of picking up the chair 10 days earlier. They claim they have great customer service, but the people are rude... even the supposed supervisors in charge. They should fire the lot.
Absolutely ridiculous customer service. I was quoted 10-14 business days to delivery. At around 10 business days, I reached out asking for an update, because the status was still "open" and not "shipped", and received a canned response about waiting the full 14 business days. Well, here we are, reached back out, and was now told up to an additional 3 weeks. There are reviews about this issue going well before Covid-19 restrictions. Completely inexcusable and unprofessional.

Please return the chair at this point as your reaction to the error has been a tad excessive.
