I wish I could comment on the quality of product, but I did not receive my chair after nearly 4 months of waiting and sub-par customer service. I ordered a chair mid-July 2020. The website did have a banner mentioning that COVID19 would potentially delay orders, but when my confirmation came it said 10-15 days. That timeframe came and went, but understanding supply chain issues, I tried to call them. There phone support is shut down and the voicemail instructed me to email them for an update. I emailed them in early August and was told mid-August. Emailed again when that date came and went, they responded with a canned email exactly the same as the first delay, but with a new shipping estimate of late August. Date came and went, emailed them early September, new shipping estimate of mid/late September. Date came and went, emailed early October, new shipping estimate of mid-October. Date came and went, emailed late October, new shipping estimate of mid-November. Date came and went, I sent one last email telling them I'd like to cancel if they could not provide a concrete date, they sent another canned email with a new date, not acknowledging my request to cancel, and I asked them to cancel one more time and they did. I understand the supply chain has been interrupted during COVID, but there is a way to handle customer service, and this is not it. Very disappointed in the lack of communication and transparency. When I initially saw the prices I thought they were too good to be true, and it turned out that was the case.
Recently I placed an order for "Amia Work Task Chair in Black by Steelcase" and once I received it I found that the chair was having a slight tilt to one side. I reported this to Madison customer support team and they were very courteous to send me a free chair as replacement without me having to resend them the defective piece. That is awesome!, I highly recommend Madison Seating for ergonomic chairs. They have good decent discounts also.

I have purchased multiple Leap Chairs from Madison Seating. Their prices were the best after an extensive search. Customer Service is also fantastic. I have recommended them to others and will continue to!
I've purchased 2 Leap V2 chairs (1 leather, 1 cloth), 4 Think Stools, and 1 Think chair. The Think Chair arrived with a failing hydraulic piston. Unable to replace / repair the lift mechanism, Madison Seating offered to replace it without charge. Other than some delay in email responses, I've appreciated their pricing and service.
We purchased two Leap Steelcase chairs from Madison seating. The price was the best we could find on line for those chairs. We are very happy with the service and the chair arrived quickly.

I ordered an Aeron chair on 9/15/2020 that was marked as in stock on their website. "In stock" items were advertised to be shipped within 10 to 14 business days. It's been almost 2 months and not shipped. I have followed up with the company now 3 times and each time, there is no apology. Instead, just another date in the future that they expect to ship and then that date passes without shipment. There is no proactive contact. There is no apology. Nothing... So I finally cancelled my order today.
Very disappointed with my purchase. The chair was purchased as "open item", however not only I can see that it was used (marks, scratches, typical stains from day to day usage) but also some things are already not working properly. The bottom of the seat is already touching metal frame of the chair - so instead of nice cushion the front on my legs are sitting on top of hard metal. When leaning backwards, left side of the chair bends mor to the left instead of evenly backwards. Think twice before you decide to save 40% or 50% on this purchase. You get what you pay. Unfortunately.
I ordered an Aeron chair for my son. When it didn't come in a reasonable amount of time, I emailed them. They said they didn't have the color, but they had a purple one. We took it and it was on his porch in fewer days than expected, in beautiful condition. WHAT I LOVE about Madison Seating is that I got a personal email reply immediately. We changed the delivery date when my son was going to be out of town. My son is ecstatic with the comfort of the chair. I am delighted with communication. Bravo.
I was so excited to purchase a chair from this company! When I bought it I was informed that it would be shipped in 10 to 14 business days. After I hadn't received it I emailed them and they informed me that it would be shipped by the end of the month. I emailed them again at the end of the month at which time they informed me it would be shipped in the middle of October. I recently emailed them and they informed me that it would be shipped mid November. They never reached out to me to tell me that the shipping will be delayed I had to contact them. When you call in to talk to someone it says that they are experiencing Short delays in shipping. 2 1/2 months is not a short delay! In addition when I went to look at the shipping times as if I was purchasing a new chair it's still says 10 to 14 days. I believe this is false advertising. If they know that there are delays in shipping because of Covid which is understandable, they should be transparent about that when you order the chair. After I complained and asked to speak to a manager, they canceled my order. I have purchased things from several companies that have delays because of Covid. Again, that is completely understandable but these companies are transparent about it where Madison seating is not. I am so disappointed in the customer service and that they canceled my order without asking me if I would like my order canceled first. I would highly recommend that you do not do business with this company. If anything, I hope that they update their website and their phone to be honest with consumers. I also hope if there's going to be delays that they reach out to the consumer ahead of time and let them know. After I emailed them about canceling my order and told them I never asked to cancel the order, they emailed me back stating that because of my reviews they were canceling my order. I feel like canceling my order was a breach of contract.
I bought a chair from Madison Seating and their customer support were excellent, giving the proper answer and follow up in a professional way.
Purchased a Steelcase Leap chair in March. It saw very little use until this month when my wife started using it while teaching at home. The pneumatic lifter is broken, and gradually lowers when you sit in it until it is at its lowest level. We were told they would repair it if we sent the entire chair back, and paid an additional $75 shipping to send it back to us... that's about $125 round trip for an under-warranty repair. Contacted Steelcase and they identify Madisonseating as a grey market reseller, frequently reselling used items as new or misrepresenting older models as new. The series of emails I had with them can only be described as hostile on their part, with no solution being offered that didn't wind up costing us significantly. In addition, the warranty on their site states "All items sold as new will include a (1) year warranty from the manufacturer directly." This is patently not true, as we discovered when we approached Steelcase. They are NOT licensed resellers and cannot offer this warranty. We will be reporting them to the Better Business Bureau. Buying from them is NOT recommended.
Madison Seating provided me with a great deal on an expensive, ergonomic chair for my home office. It was $900 less expensive for the same exact chair than what my company's vendor was offering. It was delayed a bit in getting to me, but the company was good about communicating with me about the delay and the chair arrived within 4 weeks of the date of order. I needed some help installing it and they were immediately available with directions and trouble-shooting my mistake. Their customer service and responsiveness is top-tier; every inquiry I made received a response within 20 minutes during business hours. I asked questions both before buying and afterwards and it was equally on-point. I gave the company's info to every member of my team.
My chair started lowering slowly, so I reached out to them about it. I figured they'd just send me a new cylinder but instead they sent me a whole new replacement chair, that got here rather quickly.
Please beware that "open box" means scratch and dent. Madison Seating buries this information in the fine print of their page long conditions page. Also beware of the hefty restocking fees of $150. And, then there's the cost to ship the product back. In my case two chairs would cost $540. That's two thirds the price of the chairs. But of course the photo shown on the website is of a perfect chair with absolutely no scratches or snags. Buyer beware. Buyer go elsewhere.
Placed an order. They said 10-14 days for shipping and they would email shipping information within that time period. A week went by and no communication, so I decided to check in for an update. Received another generic email saying 10-14 days and they would email shipping information. 14 days goes by so I email again. Now I get another email telling me there is a delay and it will be another 2-3 weeks. For a used chair they supposedly have in stock. I'm canceling my order.
I was shopping for a new desk chair since I've been working from home for several months and my old chair was killing my back. I read good reviews on the Steelcase Leap V2 chair and Madison Seating had the best price I could find. When the chair arrived, I was not disappointed in the comfort, but unfortunately it was uneven and had a severe wobble. I contacted Madison Seating for warranty service and their reply surprised me. They told me they would of course replace the chair, but on top of that, they would send me the new one before I had to send back the old one. This was great because even though the chair is wobbly, I can still use it until the new one arrives. I also already turned the old box into a fort for my 2-year old so I can send the old chair back in the new chair's box.
Ordered an Aeron Remastered v2 Lumbar Support, photo and description did match the product received. I felt it was false advertising. When I sent a complaint to Madison and disputed the charge to my credit card, I was quickly threatened with a civil lawsuit. Days after my credit card company stopped payment, Madison offered to credit me $100. I declined and asked to send the chair back. Eventually, they succumbed and sent me a return shipping label. I do not recommend purchasing anything from this site. I should have done better research, as I now understand that Madison Seating and their owner were previously sued by Herman Miller (the manufacturer of the Aeron chair) and settled.
Madison Seating has great prices for the products you look for. I ordered a Steelcase chair back in June and ordered the chair to my home. The chair was delivered in July mostly assembled. The only issue I had was the left arm chair was stuck in the lowest setting. After contacting their customer service they were quick to respond and have agreed to send me a replacement chair. Annie from their customer support team did a great job communicating and providing a resolution.
Now that I am working from home, I needed a comfortable chair with lumbar support. I ended up purchasing the same chair that we have at work because I already knew it was comfortable and durable. The company was quick responding to all of my questions.
They sold me an item that was old (over 15 years old). They simply repainted parts and added parts that are not Herman Miller, still calling it "open box". Customer service was horrendous. They offered me a $100 credit. When I tried to accept, they rescinded the credit. Terrible business model. No wonder they were sued by Herman Miller.

If a customer is indeed legitimate and not looking to commit online fraud, they would have rectified the situation with the credit card and simply placed a new order online.

We offered to pick up the chair at our expense and issue a full refund as we are now sold out of the blue Aeron chair. We did not intentionally ship you an incorrect color chair. Mistakes happen. This was an honest mistake done by a packer, probably due to the holiday rush. The color black and blue are hard to discern on a mesh chair. Please return the chair at this point as your reaction to the error has been a tad excessive.
Answer: Hi Lonnie. We do not simply cancel orders without there being a good reason. Your placed (2) separate orders with us and it appears you are confused by your purchases. The first order was processed successfully with the payment you provided and shipped in a timely manner. You were emailed a confirmation of this order along with an order number assigned for that transaction. On the second order you attempted to place you provided a new email address and an invalid credit card number. The order was flagged as a potentially fraudulent transaction and subsequently canceled. Again, an email confirmation with a DIFFERENT order number was emailed to you along with a notification indicating there was an issue with the payment provided.
