Their warranty is essentially worthless, and their chairs are shabby. Bought a Herman Miller Aeron from them, and now the chair is broken after two years of use. Their policy is that to use their warranty, you have to ship the whole chair not the part (so you won't be willing to do it), which costs 300 + easily, and they would charge another 95 for shipping back. Generally, it's not worth it to do it, so they don't need to repair/exchange.
Sure Herman Miller costs 1000+, but they have real warranty and their chair is of high quality and won't break in two years
I purchased several chairs from Madison. They all arrived in good condition. They're not new, hence the discount. They do come needing assembly, but that is an easy process. The only thing that needs a little intellect is attaching the posture fit device. Once you get one done, it's easy. Also, the chairs have a few scuffs on the base. Other than that, they're great. This transaction was just fine.
Purchased a Herman Miller Aeron chair on their website 12/27. Here I am 12 days later and it still has not shipped. When I contact the company they tell me they can't cancel an order over the phone.
When I email them, they dispute the date the order was placed. Tell me I 'agreed to 10-14 day shipping'. They also insist that I agree to a 5% order cancellation fee.
At no point do they apologize or make any effort to make sure I am going to remain a customer. Just a lot of finger jabbing at the customer and snotty tone.
Stay far away from this company. You can find similar prices elsewhere.
Purchased 14 Steelcase chairs. Can not beat the price. Chairs were delivered on the date promised. Had no issues replacing a couple of chairs that were defective.

I ordered a Steelcase Leap v2 chair from MadisonSeating on eBay just after Christmas. It shipped the next day and arrived in under a week. Unfortunately it arrived broken, but I worked with Customer Service - who responded promptly and professionally - to have a replacement sent free of charge! I can't wait for it to arrive as I think it will be great for my back.

The shipping takes about 3-4 weeks but the discount received on the chair made it worth the wait.
Pretty questionable customer service. I ordered an Aeron chair over a month ago and it took an extra week than estimated for it to arrive. As soon as I assembled the chair, one of the screws that holds together an armrest assembly literally broke. The screw, as far as I can tell, cannot be replaced. The only solution is a replacement armrest.
What did they do when I contacted them about it, WITH PICTURES in detail? They sent me screws for the seat back. Why? I don't know. After I contacted them again, they indeed sent me the correct screw, but no instructions on how to fix it. Granted, it can't be done anyway.
That's how bad their service is. They either don't even bother to read your complaints or are ignorant.
After 14 days I called to find out the status of my order - "Will be shipping in a few days, you'll get an email confirming it shortly."
2 days later, I get an email that the chair I ordered was no longer available, my order was being canceled. Alternatively, I could choose to pay over 40% more for a different color.
When I called to complain, "We understand, but there's nothing we can do - we won't sub the traditional color for the color you ordered. We're sorry we acted this way."
What horrible customer service - lies and refusal to correct problems.
The customer ordered a chair that was part of our clearance sale. The Mirra chair was being offered for $349.99 (free shipping) in the blue fog and terracotta colors only. Upon inspection, we noticed that the few remaining blue fog chairs in stock had defects and rendered the chair unfit for shipment. We apologized profusely to the customer and offered the Terracotta color instead, full refund or the opportunity to wait for the future restock of the blue fog. The customer opted to receive a full refund which was issued.
This is by far one of the worst customer service experiences I have EVER had. First off, the four chairs that we purchased arrived late. Then two of them broke and needed to be sent back for repair. The process of finding out what I needed to do to have these chairs repaired took weeks. This company does not care about their customers. When our chairs finally arrived back to us they were the wrong size! I have been dealing with this company for months and I sincerly warn anyone from entering any business dealings with them.
We ordered 10 Leap Chair V2's by Steelcase and one was damaged during delivery. The customer service at Madison Seating is top-notch; quick to respond and very helpful. They sent us a replacement chair free of charge, without having to re-package the defective chair and return it, in return for writing a review on this website.
We have placed orders with Madison Seating before, and we will continue to order from them for our office furniture needs. They take customer service extremely seriously and have great prices on name brand furniture.
Very disappointed with my purchase. The chair was purchased as "open item", however not only I can see that it was used (marks, scratches, typical stains from day to day usage) but also some things are already not working properly. The bottom of the seat is already touching metal frame of the chair - so instead of nice cushion the front on my legs are sitting on top of hard metal. When leaning backwards, left side of the chair bends mor to the left instead of evenly backwards. Think twice before you decide to save 40% or 50% on this purchase. You get what you pay. Unfortunately.
I have been getting Steelcase chairs over the past year from Madison Seating and all has been good. On my last order 16 Leap V2 Steel Chairs when the came in 2 of the chair were damage. I E-Mail Madison Customer Service they reply. I was able to use the two chairs replace parts making one good chair. Then Madison replace the other chair with a new one. Madison advise me to keep the broken chair for parts. This was all taking care of in one day.

Ordered an Aeron Remastered v2 Lumbar Support, photo and description did match the product received. I felt it was false advertising. When I sent a complaint to Madison and disputed the charge to my credit card, I was quickly threatened with a civil lawsuit. Days after my credit card company stopped payment, Madison offered to credit me $100. I declined and asked to send the chair back. Eventually, they succumbed and sent me a return shipping label. I do not recommend purchasing anything from this site. I should have done better research, as I now understand that Madison Seating and their owner were previously sued by Herman Miller (the manufacturer of the Aeron chair) and settled.
I ordered a Leap Chair V2 by Steelcase that unfortunately arrived with some damage. I contacted Customer Service and they were courteous and helpful, offering me either a partial refund or a replacement. I greatly appreciated their efforts to quickly resolve this issue.
I ordered my chair and it arrived within the time frame mentioned on their site. It arrived with the back plastic part of the chair broken. I reached out to them near Christmas and they responded quickly despite the holiday. They were very professional and offered to send me another chair free of charge. My overall experience was really positive and they provided awesome customer service.
