Macys credit services
October 31, 2020

There is an independent credit services bank that i do not believe is macys credit. They charged a $28 late fee. They also called numerous times at 8:00 a.m. regarding that payment which i had already sent and advised them I sent in full. I accused them of harassment as by the time they called, all of the checksvI had written had cleared my bank, except theirs. My payment was made well befor the end of the next pay period. In order to alkay the charge of harassmentment they sent a letter saying the payment had been sent to the wrong remit address. That was not true. I used the same address on their remit statement in Kentucky. I live in CA. Why Kentucky? To further cover their harassment and continue harassing me, they sent a bill for $2.00 more interest, which I did not owe. DO NOT MAKE THE MISTAKE OF OPENING AN AMERICAN EXPRESS/MACYS CREDIT CARD. Your interest rate will be 28%. When I promply cancelled mine I received a new red macys credit card from this Credit Services bank in Ohio (straight from hell). SHAME ON MACYS. I believe the interest rate is also 28% and you will accrue late charges of $28. Furthermore, your customer service will come from the Phillipines. Your harassment will come before you awake in the morning. Or is this just directed to me? What a memorable experience with Macys. Furthermore, if you contact corporate by phone, *******000, it will take you back to the credit department you just came from. I closed my Macys account and shopping habit.

I recently bought a Twin XL mattress from Macys for a guest bedroom. I ordered online, as I bought the same brand and type of bed I had bought from Macys four years ago in a King size.

The bed delivery was delayed by several weeks due to Covid, but I was notified in advance and not a big deal.

The delivery date came and everything went really smoothly (the delivery guys were awesome). However, in testing out the bed by sleeping on it for a few nights, I realized it didn't sleep the same at all as my King size bed. We compared the mattress tags, and saw that while the type of materials were the same, the percentages of the materials had changed. The bed just wasn't the sleep experience we wanted, and attributed it to these changes.

I called Macys to return the mattress, and about 40 minutes later I actually got through to a live person. I explained I wanted to return the bed, and they indicated no problem. They set up a date for the return, and indicated that the money I had paid would be returned to my credit card after they had receipt of the mattress.

The date for the return came, and the delivery men were again really wonderful.

However, the hell began when I finally got notice of the return amount on my credit card. It was short by $495.00 dollars. I called Macys thinking that they had simply made a mistake. After an hour waiting to talk to someone, I got a live person, and they indicated to me that the $495 was the return fee!

I explained that I had not been told of this amount as a return fee, and the customer representative told me that there was nothing he or his manager could do since the ticket had been closed. They offered me 15% off another item - as if this would compensate for the $495 I was now out.

I feel that Macys acted in error to not have informed me of the $495 return fee when I called to return the mattress, and should have made it right when I called after the money was credited. I can understand a $100 return fee, but $495? This is a huge amount of money, and should have been disclosed.

Horrible Customer Service
December 14, 2021

I placed an order for some curtains on October 3rd and before they were even delivered they went on sale. I contacted the Customer Service and asked to have the price adjusted or I would have to return the items and purchase it again at the sale price. I was nice enough not to do that because their shipping would be more costly. I reached out 4 times about the same issue and spoke to them again today. 4 times I have been promised that price adjustment has been approved and I should see a credit within 72 hours. I have not received the credit as of yet and was told today: "Sorry mam, the promotion has ended, we are unable to adjust the price", Is this the client service they provide? Is this the scam they run? They straight up lie to your face. They assure you the issue is resolved and they dont do $#*!. I will close my Credit Card with macys and will never purchase again. Not to mention that the item was shipped ripped. A double sided black out curtain ripped on both sides and had to deal with the return anyway. Taking time out of my work to call them on the phone and wait to be transfered to many supervisors. For them to resolve this situation byt saying sorry mama the promotion has ended. Of course it has ended because it is 2 month past. My time is valuable and that is why i am taking the time today again to write this review.
I give Macy's ZERO STARS
I have been doing online purchases because Macys instore service is terrible as well but now I just have another reason to not do business with Macys at all.
Other online competitors are way better and treating their clients and their needs. That is why they do much better.

Macy's had opened two cards for me that we did not know about so on Sunday 08/21/2022@ 1:30pm we called the customer service we spoke to Ali that had no idea what he was doing. We had looked into our account and there was no balance at all, then out of the blue we suddenly where informed that my Credit limited was decreased to $200 because we did not pay our Bill. I have all my bills paid and now was panelized because you guys not only had a card on my maiden name that I don't have anymore since 2 years my driver's license has also my Married name Wethington on it so how was that opened? The guy "Ali" had us on the phone for over 30 minutes and had no idea what he was doing, he ask us over and over the same question, he spoke to my husband again Bill Wethington and gave all my personal information but my is Wethington, did not even ask for my permission, until he figured out that he made a mistake. I am from a foreign country too but if you work you need to understand what the customer ask not being stupid about that. He waisted 30 minutes for something that should have taking 5minutes and because of people that work for you and issuing a second card on my maiden name that we did not know off now we have to pay $176 and you lowered my credit limited. It makes me just realize why more and more people buy on line because you make customers experience horrible.
Ali need to be retrained I work with many people from different countries and you need to be able to listen to the customer and understand or work somewhere where talking is not necessary. I am very up sad about this all and that your company panelized me for something they did, Faye
Ps when ask for a manager or supervisor we where told they do not work in the weekend omg you need to rethinking your customer service

I called Macy's around 7:25 pm on Tuesday night to inquire about the balance on my account and the rude agent that assisted me was did not listen to my clear question and provide me with the correct answer. She kept telling me what she thought I needed to know about why my new balance "would be" what it is. That wasn't what I was inquiring about. I simply wanted to make a payment to clear up the "current" statement which is due on October 26th. I was not able to access my account at the moment of my call to your business and my daughter had informed me that she had made a payment on October 11th but I neglected to find out if there was still a balance due. My question for your representative was is there still a balance due on the bill that was due on the 26 THIS MONTH. She said NO. She said the balance was for $414 because a partial payment was made on the 19th. So nothing is due until November 26th. I asked the women to allow me to explain my question because she clearly didn't understand that I was only interested in whether or not there was still an open balance for this month. I said so there's nothing left on this bill that would cause an interest rate on the next bill in November she then replies rudely that she had already answered that. I said I've never experienced this type of customer service and you are rude and before I could say another word and without an apology or warning or an offer to allow me to speak with someone else she disrespectfully hung up on me. She is not a good representative of a business that I and my family spend our hard earned funds with. I will be posting on Yelp and all other social outlets about this experience due to the shock of the experience.

Buyer beware

Well I didn't learn my lesson from 19 years ago when I bought furniture from Macy's. Long story short it was deja vu all over again. Being told that the delivery would be at one time then being notified with another time frame then being notified with a third time frame so we essentially lost an entire complete day waiting around for these slack asses. When they finally get here we are excited the living room furniture is coming up and all of a sudden I see severe major staining visible to the naked eye all over the sofa pillows. They tell us all that's okay just keep it the way it is we'll report it and they'll just send you a new pillows they kept trying to tell us to do that I will not accept delivery for something that I purchased a new item and be told to keep it and don't worry about it we'll get new ones that's how they get you and that's exactly what they did last time and now they're telling us they can't deliver for another five days and I said we needed to be at the top of the priority due to the damage and the loss of an entire day salary. I'm disgusted I just can't believe this they wouldn't cooperate with us they said this is the best time and day that we can give you what to tell us in five days that we have to wait another five six seven eight hours because they can't get here at the designated time they said they could be here yeah okay I'm no dummy I'm not going to fall for that again. So case-in-point I canceled my order I'm done with Macy's I've done deals with Raymour and Flanigan before they come even earlier than they say and the furniture is not damaged don't waste your time with Macy's and 19 years they haven't gotten a better and they will never get it right no wonder their stores are closing. Oh and I wish there was a negative star because I would give ten negative Stars.
