Worst customer service. I shop online to avoid dealing with Macy's poorly trained and unmannered personnel. Today, they canceled my online order. Just like that. I received a confirmation yesterday, but today, it's been canceled. I got an email and call that my order was canceled because someone blocked my account.
There was no problem with my account- same billing & shipping address, same people on the account - NOT A CHANGE in 12 years. Took 45 minutes on the phone to try to find out how to 'avoid' this type of mistake in the future, but got nowhere with 'customer non-service'. I was told to put my online order through again, because they can't undo a cancellation. I wanted to cry. No. I will not put in the order again. You've lost my business for good.
Other online business try to improve by sending out customer surveys. I've never gotten one in the past 10 years of online purchasing with Macy's. Trying to talk to a 'manager' on the phone is an exercise in frustration.

I don't shop at stores that sells plus size clothes and not plus size shoes. Example: I wear a size 14 dress, should I purchase this dress from Macy's I would then have to go bargain hunting to find a size 11W shoes to wear with the dress or wear the dress without shoes. Macy's is not a big people store.

I ordered a wedding shower gift from Macy's online. I was asked at checkout if the item was a gift and I said yes. I assumed since I did not request gift wrapping, the gift would be shipped to me. When I went into tracking I learned that the gift was shipped directly to the bride-to-be. I have yet to hear from the bride that she received my gift. I will never check "gift" on future orders from Macy's. No where did they indicate the gift was being shipped directly to the bride-to-be.
Always has sales going on! And most times I can find small sizes and if not they will ship from another store

I bought two different pairs of boots almost $200 dollars for both and neither of them lookes anything like thw pictures of what was supposed to be delivered. I recently ordered a long winter coat and received it a lot earlier than was expected. I have ordered quite a few things from Macy's online over the past few years and have never had a problem.
Macy's sends voluminous amounts of promotional literature and coupons. If you want to be "green" and stop paper billings you can. However, if you want to stop promotional brochures and catalogues then they will no longer give you electronic coupons in your shopping wallet. This makes no sense at all. Why have a Macy's credit card if you don't get any discounts once you stop their promotional mailings. BTW, you can sign up to get all their info electronically. But if you don't get the promotional PAPER mailings, you don't get discounts. Macy's needs to get on board with conservation! I'm done with Macy's until they do.

I found what seemed to be a good deal on their website and then went to pay with my PayPal account. The website I was sent to was one of their own pages, a facsimile of a PayPal page. I ran away from that crap and looked up the reviews here. I'm glad I did!
I ordered on Dec 5,2014. The site states 5-10 days from date of order. It is 9:18 am on Dec 23,2014 and I have not received my order yet. When I called to inquire this morning, a phone message states a customer representative is unavailable by phone at this time. When I click help on the website I receive Sorry, but this form is no longer receiving submissions.
Order expensive ring for wife 12/17/14, order cancelled because they couldn't reach me by phone (to re-verify my order?!).
I called them & reordered this 2,500. Ring on 12/18/14 & they said it was all set.
I get e-mail on a2/20/14 saying Order Cancelled.

Truly terrible customer service. I just finished call #3 trying to get an e gift card refund. I'm w the AF overseas. If you have an APO or FPO address stick w Kohls, Penny's, Amazon, anyone but Macy's. The refund is supposedly done but now I get to wait 7 - 10 business days for my money to come back. I'll believe it when I see it. The issue was my billing address, I could go on but I'll stop here. Their fault, their business practises suck and like I said, if you're overseas... stay AWAY from Macy's.
Some info for everyone to know. If you buy a $1000. 00 watch from Macy's and in less than 3 month later battery in that watch dies they will charge you $60 for battery replacement and $80 for cleaning. That watch was worn one time. Also the return policy is 6 month but you can't return it because tags are off of it.
I ordered a male dress shirt and a pair of cufflinks. I was very pleased with the service. I did not have them mail it to me because I needed them within two days so I made then a pick up at store order. I was very happy when I got a text about one hour after I placed the order online that my order was already ready for pick-up! It was pretty great. Very fast and I got what I ordered, I wish every site was as good as Macys. THEY EVEN GAVE ME A DISCOUNT I HAD NO IDEA ABOUT! How sweet is that? They helped me save money. So I will be doing a lot more shopping with this honest, and great servicing company.
