Called customer service to ask what I needed in order to sell car to them. Women was very snappy and hung up on me. Will not be doing business there anymore. Have been in yard a lot of times office people are just as bad.
I had my transmission replaced at a local shop, with one of theirs as recommended.
The transmission has issues and revs engine real high when switching gears.
Been getting the runaround from them after speaking with auto repair shop who said it is a lifetime warranty.
First it was call here, than here and no this person will assist you...
It's all BS, will advise and follow with another review soon. So far, they seem unlikely to get it repaired.
On the face of it this company looks like they have it together. Nice polished website with current inventory etc. In reality that's where it ends. First order with them was for an engine I needed right away. Placed the order and tried calling, emailing to try to get ahold of some one to pick it up with no response for three days. Second order I waited two weeks for a small part to arrive. Finally emailed them and this time they got back right away... but they didn't have the part. Were you ever going to let me know? My order was even marked complete online. Skip the polish and buy some where else.
Over a year ago my son had an LKQ rebuilt engine put in his car and it gave out after 3,000 miles. It was guaranteed but we are still waiting, after a year, for a replacement. It sits idle with no time of arrival date in site. I am considering legal action. Is there a class action lawsuit against them?
Called the pick your part line, was told to go to the yard on Lewis Ave. In Toledo Ohio, went there as they have two vehicles with the part I needed and received nothing but a hassle.
Best advice, find another company to conduct your business.
Wow now this is consumer service at it best. I would like to thank Michael Veres for all his work helping me fine the correct part for the 2015 Jeep I needed. Michael understands how frustrating thing can be for someone who doesn't use this system a-lot. He was very helpful and got me the best price. If needed I will be reaching out to Mike again.
Had my transmission shipped to the mechanic Mechanic made a mistake and lost the paperwork but LKQ tells me that my phone number is not in their system and there's no other way to find me so I lose out on my warranty but they automatically see my number when I call The only phone that I use all year long and they tell me it's not in the system. I only can imagine how many other people lost their warranty like this. I'm going to have Fox News investigate this because if they can see my number when I call they should be able to store it when I order parts and they are not doing that.
I order motor a week ago there tracker shows delivered the dealership has not received it and I call to find out there the motor is everyone has a attitude like I didn't just send thousands of dollars with them! Horrible customer service!
This company is to big for it's own good. I ordered a transmission 3 weeks ago now the sales guy doesn't answer the phone REALLY! I'm so done with this company and there's no manager t9 speak with all the sales guys cover each other with lies, and I'm a shop! I can't even imagine for regular customers! Don't buy nothing from them I'm warning you...
First engine failure at less than 1500 miles... OK, they partially fixed it... Engine now has ******* miles and its seized... A little over 3 years old, only ******* miles and they don't feel they have to warranty the motor... This is not how reputable companies do business. I have business with 9 vehicles, 4 with re-manufactured or rebuilt motors. This is the only 1 from LKQ an the only 1 with problems. I would recommend you shop elsewhere...
My rear end went out in my 2008 Mustang GT. My mechanic purchased a used rear end from LKQ. First of all, they sent the wrong one. Then a week and a half later the right one got there. The mechanic changed it out. The driver side axle was warped. The mechanic had to buy another axle themselves. LKQ would not replace it. Now the bearings are going out and it is roaring like hell. It's 8 days past the 6 month warranty and they will not replace it! Jerks, never buy from them. Go somewhere else!
I got an engine for a 2009 Toyota Camry. The engine arrived with a crack oil pan. Of course that is a part that is not covered. These people deciding to keep that attached to my engine has now is costing me several hundred dollars in additional labor at my mechanics. I doubt they have quality control or any thing of the sort at this place.
Plain and simple. They will sweet talk you, tell you their stuff is quality checked, take your money then send you junk with not a care in the world! Also, if you do buy something from them and it also turns out to be bad useless junk, good luck getting a refund like they promise if you can get them to talk to you by phone or email.
Do not buy a reman engine from LKQ. I'm burning a gallon of oil every 5000 miles from day 1. Regens every 150-200 miles and egr issues. The loss of oil pressure finally put the truck in the shop after just 2 months after engine installation. The worst part is trying to get a warranty claim approved. They are dragging their feet for 2 weeks so far just to approve the necessary work. Still no light at the end of this very dark tunnel. Dead in the water losing revenue each day. I will follow up this review soon. Please don't let this happen to you. Do your due diligence. I just hope I was able to save someone else.
Ordered part, paid for it. Came to pick it up, surprise
Order canceled without even notifying me, no answers why. Tried to contact original sales person no luck there, they just ignored my like nothing happened.
Stay away!
This company is a joke warranty is worth nothing sand me a bad engine paid almost 5000$ ford dealer take motor out again paid 2700$ and the refund me 1300$ hope you guys go shot this place down I hope god
Sent the wrong engine time after time. As I pleaded with them to that I was doing this outdoors in the driveway. Now here I am in 2⁰ weather freezing my $#*! off trying to hurry up and finish. Thanks lkq
Several conversations with dispatch, told her front section of vehicle missing and her salvage price was 335.00. Had title filled out and notarized only to have driver say she'd only give 225.00 and we'd have to go pick up check. I would not suggest them for anything, it'll be a waste of your time.
Purchased a motor, Showed up with the plastic valve cover broken. They said too bad buy another even though they broke it. The oil filter housing was missing. They said tough! Go buy another. They said they sold a long block only. Invoice said "Engine Assembly" Price was for an engine assembly. They said go stick it. They used to be good to deal with, now? They are the worst. I don't know what changed but they have gone way down hill. Gotten too big for their britches I think. They suck now. Stay away.
This is the absolute worst company. The engine we got from them broke after 1,000 miles and they won't pay all of the mechanics fee. Only half! And they wouldn't return the shops calls for days. Furthermore they were very rude to talk to. 100% satisfaction guarantee?!?!? More like 100% dissatisfaction guaranteed. Never do business with them. You're welcome.
Answer: My mechanic recommended them. He is no longer using them either due to problems with parts he's received...
LKQ has a rating of 1.2 stars from 166 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers dissatisfied with LKQ most frequently mention customer service, next day and oil pan. LKQ ranks 793rd among Auto Parts sites.
