Save your $$$
January 25, 2020

Ive worded for them and its worse then fedex with trowing or dropping stuff. Ive seen then drop an engine 3 feet on its side and sill give it to you. They scam customers on price all day long and if you have a charge a count be careful or you'll be charged for things you didn't order.

Purchased a transmission with a 3 year unlimited mileage warranty, parts and labor, that went out after 2 years. They would not pay labor because they claimed the transmission had "bottomed out". It was on a Hummer H2, plenty of ground clearance, and a massive skid plate covering the transmission, no way for it to get damage from "bottoming out". When I asked them about it, they just said sorry, nothing we can do. Asked for the supervisor's number, they told me they couldn't give it out but they'd have him call me. He never called. When I ask the technician that pulled the transmission, if it had any pan damage, he said no. But there were big metal pieces in the pan, indicating internal failure. The warranty company is worthless. And they will lie to you.

LKQ SUCKS
February 26, 2020

Purchased a LKQ remanufactured engine.
Purchased the gold standard warranty, the top warranty they offer.
The engine lasted two weeks.
After waiting almost two weeks with my Jeep in the shop and having a rental car for that time LKQ tells me that I have to pay up front and then submit a claim for reimbursement.
I'm currently seeking a law firm to address this as their warranty paperwork says nothing about this.
If you need a remanufactured engine do yourself a favor do not do business with LKQ try Jasper at least they honor their warranties.

Yard in Benoist farm west palm beach I went to get a piston when I got to pay they charged me $350 dollars for the piston because according to them an engine was disassembled. I don't understand what the reason is if the engine I took the piston out of was already disassembled. So I didn't bid anything and left the part right there.

Unprofessional
October 7, 2022

I wonder what kind of people does LKQ have working for them. I was driving toward Nashville on I 24. I passed a LKQ truck when the driver gave me the middle finger. If that doesn't beat all after I move back over to the right lane to exit and the LQK truck did pass by me again he gave me the finger again. I know I can read and there is a sign that says truck use right lane. Why is this anger guy working today. Him and his boss need a little counseling because this could develop into something the LKQ doesn't want to deal with.

I called an asked to see if my part was readily available and I was told yes. When I arrived it was a complete mess and I was told to wait as someone handed a person phone call for 15 minutes and told me she had to take it because her friends been having issues and she finally caught that $#*! in bed with her man. I asked for her to take me to my part and she said "damn whats wrong you dont have legs to walk ya damn self" I laughed and she said best thing that she had close to a radiator was a $#*!ing hub cap wheel for an old toyota. Also suggested that I come on thursdays instead of on a friday because it reminds them of black friday when alot of black people are shopping. She took her chicken tender and slapped it on her desk and said have a great day! Im very dissatisfied and lost for words as I have neverrr witnessed anything like this before

No Relief
October 5, 2015

LKQ is a common name in remanufactured parts. What you usually don't hear about is what happens when something goes wrong. It's obvious LKQ offers cheaper parts because they are just that, cheap. I am a shop owner who ordered a remanufactured transmission for 800.00 from LKQ. After they shipped the wrong transmission, and put my customer and I behind a week, the correct transmission lasted 150 miles. Codes state that first gear has an incorrect gear ratio. Upon contacting LKQ, they explained to me that there was a labor option when checking out. The only option was shipping, and the part itself. The girl I spoke to and the supervisor basically said "tough". They also want to send someone out to check it, lol. More of my time for free is the penalty I pay for making the mistake of doing business with LKQ.

Fort Myers LKQ

I went into huge lobby that only 2 customers at a time can be in. I came in for a part that was online and had the stock number for. I was told we had to start from what kind of car, why bother having the stock number. The part is not in stock and clerk has an attitude, park won't be there till tomorrow. So I supposed to drive there again tomorrow and then back again with core. Nope not buy nothing and not coming back!

Updated review

I recently had a problem with an order and invoice and Todd took the time to locate the problem and give me direction on the correct action I needed to take. The problem was not with his store and he was able to get me pointed in the right direction for resolution. Thank you for great customer service!

Poor customer service

Just to spread the word about this company. My mechanic purchased a used engine that came with a 12 month/12,000 mile warranty parts/labor. After 6 months the engine blew. They replaced the engine but not the same mileage. The original used engine costs me $17,000 and had 8,000 miles. So they replaced the engine with an older engine of 38,000 miles and did not cover labor. I will be filing a complaint with the BBB and the attorney general.

I have never seen anything worse in my life than dealing with this company,
It's been over 10 days and I haven't received my correct shipment.
At first, the company sends a shipment with faults and missing parts.
Then, after numerous discussions and phone calls, they promised to send a replacement shipment and asked to wait for the replacement shipment details to be sent.
Then, After waiting for a long time for the details, that I didn't receive, I contacted the company to figure out the reason for not sending the details of the replacement shipment, here is the surprise, no one knows anything about the replacement shipment, and they start asking for the details again to start sending the replacement shipment.
And When I asked to speak to the manager to figure out why, they hang up a phone call.

Thieves

I would give zero stars if I could! I have had to pay for two transfer cases and r and r for both. I have paid for a front differential and was shipped the wrong one that destroyed a t case. I have had to pay for the r and r of that also with supposedly the correct one being shipped to me. At this time I have over $3800 into this and lkq wants to reimburse me for a third of that. They refuse to put anything in writing and do not respond to my emails anymore. I am on a first name basis with Art in the warranty department. I was given the sales managers name (and number) John Salinas and he has yet to return a call or respond in any way.
Do not deal with this company!

Purchased a hood from them had to give a credit card and pay for it over the phone. Was supposed to be delivered from Damascus to Airport location by next day and given a call when it arrived. After no call from LKQ I called them to find out that they cancelled my order because the part was not the "A" quality as sold and charged but yet still have charge pending to my account and only found out because I called them. Was told they tried calling me but my phone wasn't in service, only call I have not received on my phone has been them. Not sure why they could not email me then since they emailed me the receipt.

I ordered a mirror online for a specific car a completely different mirror shows up different color and for a complete different vehicle. I call to return it lady on the phone tells me it's my fault I ordered it wrong even though I took pictures of my order details to proof it didn't match what I received but lady tells me in a rude manner I have to pay for return shipment because I ordered the wrong part and hangs up the phone.

I have dealt with one guys at one location. Tony Pasharikoff. I have bought 2 turbos, a pair of fuel injectors and a cylinder head. He is also working on another ISX turbo for me. Great guy, honest and actually cares about getting me the correct part, not just anything. The guy that complained about the transmission that may be the auto side because I get treated with class and respect. His number is *******513, he is busy but the guy is amazing because he returns calls within 3 mins sometimes, if he doesn't pick up. BTW all the parts are still working and I will not ever consider and other company. I dealt with $#*! hole after $#*! hole. This place is and Tony are great to me!

Bought an engine off ebay thru them and there was no core charge or deposit. Talked to them a dozen times and everyone more excuses.
Wouldn't recommend them to anyone.
