Was unpleasantly surprised to find that insurance would not cover lens replacement in frames I really wanted to keep. The quote I got from Lensabl was about one-third of less of my out-of-pocket quote from my local vision center. Service was fast, and Lensabl kept accurate progress information available for each step of the order. Final touch was very safe snd secure packaging for delivery!

I sent in my metal frames to have lense installed, they have small screws to loosen and tighten the eyeholes. However, the technician attempted to wedge in the lenses as though they were plastic, and scratched the frames in at least 4 places: https://photos.app.goo.gl/jofDKXu1QuHkmTRy8
I contacted Customer Service to see if they could help remedy the situation, and they have completely ignored me so far. I would not send expensive frames to Lensable since they did not treat them with the care I would expect.
I bought vintage frames off of ebay and there was no issue replacing the lenses with my perscription! I wish that Lebsabl offered frame cleaning/nose pad replacement, as when I got them back I noticed how much dirt had built up over the years on my vintage frames. The nose pads were disgusting, and in attempting to replace them myself I have scratched my new lenses, and on of the screws was impossible to get out and had to go to an optometrist office to get them to take it out. But the experience was fairly quick and I'm happy with my new frames and will be using this service again!
Sent in my frames to put updated Rx in them and I receive an email saying my frame description doesn't match what I sent, but would I like lenses installed in the frames they thought were mine? So I guess they mixed up my glasses with someone else's. But when I tried to contact them in response to their inquiry, I get another email saying do not send multiple e-mails on the same issue and that someone will e-mail me back the outcome. (Meh, customer service options) I would prefer to speak with someone at that point. They have a chat option but it was not as effective as speaking with someone. (my opinion)
Website was super user friendly when ordering lenses. I paid the extra money for 1 day shipping and I was actually surprised that it applied to both shipments (when they send you the box and then when they send your finished glasses). I was also pleased that they did not ruin my plastic frames. The last pair of plastic frames I had got ruined by America's Best, but Lensabl re-lensed them with no issues!
Over all, a good experience. However, i chose my frames based on the measurements and sizing provided on the website. Upon arrival (which took upwards of a month), i discovered that the glasses are actually too tight across the bridge of my nose. And, i can't return them without incurring a huge cost (my lenses are progressive, so even with frame replacement, i would have to rebuy my lenses…nope).
Waited about a month for my first delivery. Status updates from Lensabl were scarce and inaccurate. When glasses arrived the Rx was wrong! Was discovered that I entered 5 instead of.5 for the OC value. No Rx checking process? Really?
Had to pay over $200 for a remake and wait almost a month for that pair. So, ended up paying over $600 and waiting over 2 months to get a new pair of lenses. Lesson learned. Never again. Next time I'll go to my local optometrist.
I love Lensabl's business model, I've used Lensable a few times now, but I'm not thrilled that my last pair developed crazing due to poor application of the coating, and I was not given a free replacement.

I've ordered two pairs of glasses from Lensabl, with the exact same prescription and they came back differently. The 'reading' portion on my most recent pair of progressives is obviously incorrect, compared to my first pair I ordered (again, with the same prescription) When I switch back and forth between the two, I can only read with the first pair you sent. Very frustrating and I probably won't choose Lensabl in the future.
It took over 3 weeks to get my glasses though all the communication I received from lensabl stated I should get it in a week.
I reached out 3 times to support for an update and found out my frames were on backorder. That is fine but you should have proactively told me not having to have me reach out.
Also with each support interaction I was told they would email me updates and they never did.
My second time contacting support they told me that my glasses would ship that day (Friday) but they did not ship until the following Tuesday.
Great fit, and perfect prescription. I didn't realize I had to send the glasses in at first, but when I did, there was a very quick turnaround.

Great experience with quick and easy online tools to get my measurements for my frames. Was able to get two frames at an affordable price, and got them both in about a week. Highly recommend!

The process was relatively easy, and the price was cheaper than a local shop, But, if you have lineless bifocals, I would opt for the local shop. My new glasses are fine, but I don't see out of them as well as with my other pair. Someone ordering single vision might have a better experience. Also, finding a place to have them fitted to my face is an issue I didn't consider.
Just okay. Prices are comparable to my local optical office. No real savings for buying online. Should include an eyeglass case for the price you charge.
While I love that one of my favorite pairs of frames is now back in use once again, I wish that the process had gone much smoother. There is a definite lack of good communication, and the website design is very weak in the account area. It was nearly impossible to determine what stage my frames were in and when I might receive them, and I had no idea of any shipping details.
Answer: I was not so lucky and have had a horrible experience withLensabl. After two months I'm still waiting for progressive lenses that cost over $600 and Neither my frames nor the lenses I ordered are back to me. Next time I will use a local eyewear store.

Answer: I purchased some really awesome vintage glasses with octagonal black plastic frames made in France, probably from the late 1960s or early 1970s. I was so excited to have them made into sunglasses. I took them to my local optical shop and was told, "I hope you didn't spend much on these because you wasted your money. No one will touch frames this old, because the plastic is so brittle it will just shatter." I was so disappointed. I tossed them in a drawer and forgot about them for a few months. Then I saw an ad for Lensabl online. I contacted them and asked if they could work with vintage frames, and the answer was "No problem!" I was nervous to send the frames in but figured I didn't have anything to lose. I just received the glasses back in the mail today (two weeks from when I mailed them in), and they are incredible! The frames were cleaned and straightened, and the new lenses are perfect. I love them so much. Thanks, Lensabl!
Answer: They clearly don't have the infrastructure set up to be in this business where each frame is a customer order. In cases like they they are not staffed with customer services that can be actually helpful which only result in wrongly made glasses. They broke my glasses and are not trying to it at all. I posted review on here before and then it just disappeared for some reason, I'm not sure if they are paying people to get rid of negative reviews.
Answer: Transitions take an upwards of 30 seconds to Transition. The weather conditions can impact the Transition time. Brighter and warmer outside conditions= transitions faster.
Answer: I am having the same experience. Took my money, lost my frames and have done nothing on refund nor damages. I filed with BBB as well. Why are they still in business is a surprise to me?How many more consumers do they need to harm before they are fined and/or shut down?
