The product never arrived, they have not refunded me and they charged a 99-dollar fee 14 days after my purchase for a subscription I did not request. A total of 276 dollars was charged for a 177 dollars product that never arrived. BE CAREFUL - DO NOT BUY FROM THEM
The customer service experience has been extremely frustrating. They double-charged my Kogan mobile plan, and since they don't have a contact number in NZ for customer support, I had to email them. The support staff keeps asking for my credit card details to confirm the issue. I'm puzzled as to why they need my credit card details when they already have it in their system. I believe they can verify my identity through other means, and I don't feel comfortable sharing my credit card details. This is ridiculous
Additionally, I decided to terminate their service and disable the auto top-up feature a month ago, but it continues to charge me. To make matters worse, I discovered that they charged me for the full month's plan just two days before I canceled. I emailed the staff, but they have been unable to provide a satisfactory answer. It's been over two weeks, and despite suggesting that they consult their manager if there's a language barrier, no action has been taken. Just keep ignoring my questions
I call the customer service number on the main Kogan Website, then refer to the Australia Department. They said NZ doesn't have customer service to contact (but that's the only number on the website). The AU staff pretty much just saying is none of business and her attitude is very bad as well.
I've request the staff in my email to forward my request to his manager who can understand English, but never happened. There is no other way I can make the complaint. So I have to post it here. Ridiculous!
Buyer Beware!
I recently purchased a television from Kogan and at the same time purchased a wall mount suitable to the very model of TV.
The TV was 5 days later than the planned delivery date, but being that we are in restriction periods I understood.
The wall mount arrived 3 days after that, even though they were ordered on the same day.
The wall mount arrived in a box that was incomplete and the instructions and unit was not the model I ordered. It was not suitable to the VESA standard that I required.
The issue was raised immediately with Kogan and I am now, almost 2 weeks later, still sending them the same photos and same information because it is NOT the product I ordered. Their opinion seems to be that if it fits, just use it anyway.
I can't fit the product I received without removing the tilt locking screws which then cannot be re-introduced. A circlip was broken meaning a rod through the centre rear of the mount floats freely.
Customer service treat you like an idiot and you get nowhere.
I will never shop with Kogan again.
What customer service tried to contact them regarding a faulty item and they just ignore you there is no phone contact with them i guess
i'll have to go to consumer affairs
I bought a Kogan stick vacuum it doesn't work. I can't get a refund I can't access complain YOU CANT Write a report no phone number for any service just refers back to website.
DO NOT BUY THEIR PRODUCTS.
I have purchased three products from Kogan and was happy with the products and delivery.
But with the last order I was signed up for Kogan First, I hadn't asked for it and hadn't ticked any boxes for it. Apparently it is deep within the T's & C's, a trap set for the unwary.
I spotted it and with great difficulty managed to cancel it. I then warned the bank of a possible unauthorised withdrawal and wrote a review, to warn others and told Kogan I didn't trust them anymore.
I avoided Kogan for some time as a result but noticed an item that I had difficulty finding so I had a look, remembering my past experience with them. Surely the consumer protection organisations have dealt with this issue by now!
Well they haven't, sure enough Kogan pulled this stunt again, there it was, Kogan First. It is such a difficult and arduous task cancelling First, taking about twenty minutes and a lot of anxiety. And now I'll have to warn the bank again of another possible unauthorised withdrawal and write another review.
Kogan, wake up to yourself, the first line of this review would indicate a five star review but I would give you none if I could, I won't tolerate chicanery and trickery. By the way, I have a special account for organisations like you, it only holds two dollars until I transfer funds at the time I make the purchase.
So here is the review, and watch out, I meet many people and I'm one heck of a chatterbox, the word will spread. And Kogan is out of my life, I'm too old to waste twenty minutes of my life every time I make a purchase from you.
THIS COMPANY CHARGED ME OVER $150.00 TO DELIVER A WASHING MACHINE BY WEDNESDAY 16TH APRIL 2020, THEY THEN TRIED TO BLAME THE CORONA VIRUS FOR NOT KEEPING TO THEIR WORD! THE OWNER OF THIS COMPANY HAS FOUND A WAY OF STEALING MONEY ( LEGALLY) HE KNOWS THERE IS NO WAY HIS COMPANY CAN KEEP TO THIS PROMISE AND THEY REFUSE TO REFUND YOUR MONEY. THE FEDERAL GOVT NEEDS TO LOOK INTO THE PRACTISES THIS COMPANY HAS NOW APPLIED DURING THIS PANDEMIC PERIOD IN OUR NATIONS HISTORY. FRAUD IS FRAUD, AND THE OWNER MUST BE CHARGED BY THE GOVT FOR THIS DISGUSTING PRACTISE.
Scammers, do not respond to emails, ignores warranty, and all-around bad business. I have been waiting for a week for a return postage ticket and now they do not even reply to emails. Sad!
I have ordered a lithium battery from Kogan sold by Toughland (SMARTCHANNEL PTY LTD) They sent me an item that developed a fault at first use. I took video footage and let you know. They asked me to check the voltage and I took it to supercheap but they couldn't. I took it to the battery place to check it. They didn't bother themself because they didn't sell but after they watched the video they told me the battery is faulty. Toughland asked me to send it back, I took the battery to Toughland's courier depot within hours. The courier took it to Sydney but made it wait 1 week in their depot. After the courier delivered it to Toughland, they made it wait another week. Toughland lied to me about testing a few times and I proved it by their emails. Now, Toughland doesn't refund my money for the item I returned with original packaging. Kogan also doesn't step in at all.
So I have had this piece of $#*! for 3 years now and let me tell you, DO NOT PURCHASE ONE OF These DUDS! 3 months after I purchased this I had problems. Contacted Kogan help, they supplied a manual for me to follow a troubleshoot. I did this but I did not work. So they tell me to update the softwate. This did and it worked, however that only lasted a few months. So then they say to UNPLUG the TV and wait10 minutes for a rest, literally this now happens at least once a month. Its bull$#*! when you purchase their products that are faulty from the time you purchase them. $#*! you Kogan I'm done after years of purchasers from you. You are legit a crap supplier, inferior products with $#*!house backup service and you should be ashamed at ripping of people that work hard for their money. Recommended ZERO!
August smart Lock pro + Connect, purchased at ~400 AUD.
After wasting hours trying to configure the Z-wave, contacting August support team in USA, i found out that they do NOT design product for Australia, the Z-wave functionality uses USA frequency, not allowed and will never work in Australia.
I provided email and documentation to Kogan.com.au they approached me with the CHEAPEST behavior ever: 50 AUD credit? Then 70, then 80 AUD.
Considering the same device without Z-wave functionality is sold at ~200 AUD.
I decided for a FULL REFUND, CASH! And I will never use Kogan.com.au again, not worth it, no good quality, no good support, no good prices. Pick what you prefer and go for the other website: GumTree, Facebook, eBay, Amazon. They all have their added value in terms of prices, or quality. Etc.
Kogan.com.au with this CHEAP Customer approach Kogan.com.au will fail soon.
They are doing only what LAW force them to "full refund" without any tangible/meaningful action for the distress/time/money wasted for their fault.
Customer Experience = 0
I thought I bought a pair of shoe on kogan, after 14 days, they changed me $99 for kogan first membership, horrible.
Everytime I have purchased an item from this company the process has been easy the shipping quick and cheap, the product inexpensive and quality. Kogan is an absolute fav for me.
I advised KOGAN my remote was faulty at the beginning of August. It took about 5 days and having to email asking for a response and comment about the poor customer service experience on Facebook before KOGAN advised the remote would leave their (australian) warehouse on 12. 08. 20 and that I would recieve tracking information.
I emailed KOGAN for an update on 17. 08. 20 & also today 19. 08. 20 and have had no reply.
I commented on KOGAN'S Facebook again about their poor service. I did not use any bad language and stated facts like "ZERO CUSTOMER SERVICE" and amazingly got a quick response from KOGAN.
They deleted my Facebook comments and blocked me on KOGAN Facebook and KOGAN Facebook Messenger and still have not responded to my email.
If only KOGAN "did what they said they would" and send my remote and tracking information, instead of dodging bullets.
Not only is KOGAN'S customer services ZERO but they don't appreciate criticism.
I ordered 20 June 2020, I tired Facebook messaging 09 July 2020 to ask why my order hasn't be shipped, emailed 14 July 2020 to receive a 'no reply' message, I have attempted logging in to to the website several times but when I try changing my password the link never comes through to my emails (yes, I tried looking in the junk) why is noone responding and why hasn't my order been shipped?
Signed me up for Kogan First Membership - 30 Days without asking or notifying me
Came through on bank statment. Annyoying. Also it is not easy to contact customer service they are a pain.
Stuff kogan
Took my money - still waiting - 3 months!
I ordered and paid for a Xiaomi M365 500W PRO electric scooter in July 2020. I was told it had been despatched. When it didnt turn up they told me they were out of stock. I was promised a delivery in July – nothing, then promised delivery in August – nothing, next promise was end of September - nothing, now they are saying another 6 weeks and I may not get the brand I ordered but a copy? That is complete nonsense. KOGAN & their partner T&R Sports are unreliable, make promises they don't honour, so DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM KOGAN OR T&R SPORTS - you will be kept waiting while they use YOUR money.
My brothers freezer was delivered and when plugged in tripped the fuses obviously a fire hazard so try and return it, you guessed it NO CONTACT PHONE NUMBER. My brother who has a disability couldn't remember his pass word or customer number so I SPENT 4 HOURS trying to contact them to return the freezer. The only help I could find was by Facebook messenger who contacted customer service raised the returns request. Now, 8 hours later I still haven't been contacted by customer service advising when they will pick up the faulty freezer. This company should be investigated. Tried to download receipt - even that doesn't work properly grrrrrrr
I bought a Xiaomi Redmi 7A through Kogan. Good price and reasonably quick delivery quoted. All seemed to go well the phone arrived quickly and it was the right model and started OK. However, the phone wasn't supplied by Kogan but by the Heybattery shysters based in HK. So when there was problem (calls couldn't be made without interference and contacts were not looked up properly), it became a nightmare. The issues are too many to go into but eventually, months later, I got a refund. Heybattery are full of sales hype and very poor on support. Kogan, for their part, came across as a professional support group although they were too lazy to read and understand my emails. Anyway, the warning is don't buy if you are dealing with a "Marketplace Seller", i. E. 3rd party for the phone supply. It may go well and you save a little but if not, it can be a purchasing nightmare. If Kogan don't supply directly, pay a little more for a local supplier.
My gripe here is that despite them saying they send the item within 1-2 business days, 8 days after giving them $1127 of my hard earned, they still have not despatched my TV. When I contact the Kogan "help" desk there is no help at all. What you actually receive are auto generated statements of apology, concern, statements about how they worry about this and how most other customers dont receive the same experience. All this does is antagonise! Does it solve my issue to know how sorry you are? NO! Does it help me to know how serious you take such problems? NO! Does it help me, that you thank me for my patience? NO! Where is the action? Where is the outcome? Where is the real action to find my item, get it to me ASAP and then compensate me for the endless drivel which I am being peddled. You would do a whole lot better to understand what customer service is, spend some time listening to what the issue is and then actually working to solve it. Dont waste your time patronising already frustrated customers. I despise being treated like an idiot, which is exactly what is happening here. I would upload a photo of my item and issue, only it hasn't been delivered/ I dont have it. I have several emails of apology, though...
Answer: Not only rubbish customer service, they won't give you a refund if your product doesn't arrive. - Check these out - https://www.accc.gov.au/media-release/kogan-in-court-for-alleged-false-or-misleading-discount-advertisements https://www.choice.com.au/shopping/consumer-rights-and-advice/your-rights/articles/kogan-returns-and-refunds-issues I learnt the hard way so save your safe the time and stress and go elsewhere.
Answer: Stay away from Kogan - I think you have by default signed up for some crap Kogan First Club - if you didn't unsubscibe within 14 days, they then hit you with a membership fee
Answer: No they just say they will get back to you eventually but they never do
