If I could give a score of less the 1 star I would. Customer service is non existant. After my account was hacked and items purchased they were uncontactable for days and then couldn't even help with my account. Absolutely atrocious service.
They offer you a 14-day free trial for Kogan First. Looks great but they don't make it clear that once you go over the 14 days, they automatically charge $49. It would be fairer if they put- 'Kogan First $49 yearly subscription, FREE if you cancel in the first 14 days'.
So that's dodgy, but the biggest problem is- when I go to log in to my account to cancel, I have to send a verification email. And the email does not come, so I can't log into my account to cancel the Kogan First. I've been using Kogan for years but after these 2 dodgy practices, I'm not using them anymore.
Customer Support is horrendous. Kogan still owe me $$$ on an item that was never delivered and acknowledged as lost by there delivery partner. Cannot contact them and have had to make a complaint to the Consumer body in WA.
This was the 2nd time I have used Kogan and I had similar issues the first time. Gave them there 2nd chance. There will not be a 3rd.
I bought a pair of shoes from Kogan through eBay. When they arrived they were a different colour to what I ordered, so I asked for a refund. It took a painful amount of time to get help from them and when I did they were very vague and unhelpful with statements like 'we are looking into it' and 'please show us pictures of the incorrect colour' (even though they had already realised their mistake and changed the eBay ad to show the correct colour). Luckily I was able to get eBay to step in after 3 weeks and organise a refund. BE CAREFUL.
Kogan are ok to buy from & if nothing goes wrong then all is good. BUT have a problem, then you have a BIG PROBLEM. Thier system are designed to prevent you from talking to anyone, to resolve it. Quick to take your money but getting it back probably needs a lawyer or consumer affairs. By accident I ordered the wrong item but getting the order canceled & my money refunded is a nightmare.
Had NBN installed decided to go with kogan and ordered a new modem. Laptop and Samsung tablet couldn't find the modem. No issue with Iphone and Ipad, called customer service. No help. Tried to escalate the problem. Not interested. Told them I may need to cancel. Didn't care. Avoid Avoid Avoid.
I ordered a product online (which took FOREVER to turn up) to only realise that 30 days later after not reading the T&Cs correctly that I was charged an ongoing monthly subscription fee. If i wasn't on top of my bank account i would never have realised I had signed up for that - the clause is hidden right in the body of the T&Cs. I cancelled my unknown subscription immediately and reached out to Kogan who hid behind their T&Cs clause and said I should have read the full contract before hitting accept. Scam. Never buy from them.
Couldn't activate the sim card and when I tried again it didn't keep the voucher, so it requested me to pay $15
I bought the sim card that came with 15gb data which I appeared to lose because I couldn't register my visa debit card. If kogan weren't going to take money from my card why did registering my visa debit card fail? As I had no funds. Seems dodgy to me
I have purchased an Apple iphone 11 and was delivered in bad condition, spoken to Kogan to have the phone returned and refund my money back, i sent the phone still sealed it its box and i took them 10 days to reply back to me and say a new phone is on its way express post no refund was given, i will never buy anything from Kogan they are bunch of thiefs
Kogan are terrible. I purchased a robo vacuum from them. It went faulty within 2 weeks. I packed it up sent it back and about 2 weeks later they sent me a new one which also went faulty with the same problem within 2 weeks. I have since read other people are having the same problem with this vacuum. Kogan keep selling it even though it's known to likely have this problem. They won't refund my money or provide me with one that doesn't have this problem. Warning guys - don't buy it. It use to be 349.00 Now It is 199.00. They are trying to get rid of them obviously. I signed up to the Kogan First 14-day free trial when I purchased an item from Kogan. When I tried to cancel my ‘free trial' Kogan ‘customer service' told me that because I purchased an item and received free shipping they would not refund my $49 Kogan First fee. After four emails to Kogan they told me that as a gesture of good will (pfffft!) they would refund me the membership fee minus the $14.99 postage I already accessed.
The terms and conditions state:
‘If you cancel your Kogan First membership during the free trial period, you will incur no fees or other charges for the membership. Your Kogan First trial will end immediately and you will no longer receive any Kogan First benefits.'.
Kogan is dodgy and is out to scam customers to increase revenue.
As with many complaints that have proceeded before mine. I have had the run around also with Kogan and I am convinced that they have robots to anwer all emails requesting something be done for a defuncted remote so I can watch my Kogan TV. 2 months later still no resolution so I have made a complaint with the ACCC for resolution. Stay clear of this company and spend your money at Amazon and get Prime Video for 6.99 per month. Yeah I am a winner!
I bought a stick vaccum cleaner and a window vaccum cleaner from kogan.
Few days after I read some reviews saying that kogan is not a good website... and got scared I won't receive my order or the product would be bad quality.
In fact, I've received my order very fast and I just love the vaccums. I'm very happy with this website and couldn't ask for better service. So don't listen to all the bad reviews
Ordered an item on the 30th of april 2020, never arrived! After several emails I was told that the item was lost, was asked if still wanted the item or a refund, I advised that I still wanted the item provided it was delivered within five working days! No luck, I was then told that if I wanted to kogan would refund the full amount within 1-2 business days! Three business days have downed and still no refund!
I have been buying from kogan for pass 12 months. I have found there have wide range of products. There own kogan brand stuff i have purchased many things, everthing works great. I had phone and it got sent back for a refund they pay. No problems. Allways with kogan you just keep your mind on what your after, check and check. I don; t just jump in and buy i wait till i see it at the lowest possiable price and free shipping. If you wait long enough you will get both good price and free shipping. They are great with instant chats and stuff.
I bought a Kogan C250 atlas windows tablet. It was slow like hell. I had to wait for every touch response and decided to return back. The issue was the product was under 14 days since I bought so I decided to refund using their change of mind policy. They gave a store credit instead of refund. I asked to give me a refund to the mode of purchase which they denied. I paid for the return postage. Also they decided to refund only the product, not the initial shipping charges. I wanted a refund back to the mode of payment i did and not a store credit. Stay away from them, if you ever purchase anything you can never refund or get your money back.

Don't buy from Kogan unless you have hours and hours of time to waste dealing with them... the items we bought took over 3 weeks to arrive and now we have to put in a warranty claim and we are now 3 weeks into it and the items haven't even been picked up and now I am told to be available from 9 to 5 for the next 1 to 3 business days for pickup and if I will it they will not come again... TOTAL JOKE!
Most items under Kogan Brand are rubbish, low quality Chinese products. Don't buy Cheap Kogan Brand products to save few bucks because if something goes wrong there wont be any support at all even though they claim they have. You have to send the item back at your own cost and have to go through unnecessary hassle. I am not making the same mistake again.
I ordered most expensive Kogan Evaporative cooler[KACYCEVACLA] and the moment i poured water in the tank it leaked and soaked my carpet. I raised the ticket within 1 hour and they told me i have to send it back to them and their technicians(i don't believe they have any technician in Australia) will check and if they can't find the fault i have to pay to them. They assume people lie to them and also have lot of free time to ship the item back to them.

Answer: Stay away from Kogan - I think you have by default signed up for some crap Kogan First Club - if you didn't unsubscibe within 14 days, they then hit you with a membership fee
