Kogan's reputation is significantly marred by recurring complaints regarding customer service and product reliability. Many customers report issues with faulty products, lack of effective communication, and difficulties in obtaining refunds or exchanges. The automated nature of their customer support is frequently criticized, leading to frustration among buyers seeking assistance. Conversely, some customers do express satisfaction with specific products, particularly electronics that function well over time. Overall, while there are positive experiences, the overwhelming sentiment highlights a troubling pattern of inadequate support and misleading practices, prompting recommendations for potential buyers to exercise caution.

Charged me $49 dollars without consent for their "First Membership" they never mentioned this anywhere on their website. Watch out do not buy there
I am having an issue with my order and contacted their customer service (which they only have by email).
It's been more than 3 weeks and they still haven't responded to my requirement.
Be aware of purchasing from them. They won't be helpful if you have any issues with your order.
Don't buy from Kogan brought washing machine not working after 3 washes blows fuses to house and got electrical shock. Customer service is none existent. Receive emails then when respond no follow up is given. I'm spending $50 a week at laundry Matt a week while I wait. I'm going to seek remedy from ACCC. Buy products from a store that offer customer service. And I bet ‘Ross' the automatic responder will reply to this review. They don't even care enough to respond to poor reviews. Don't buy washing machines from Kogan.
The website said dispatches this item in 1 or 2 business days and i calculated how long it would take to be delivered also left some additional room for unexpected delays and booked my flight ticket. Now even after 12 days the item has still not left their store and there is no way you can contact them, no phone and email they never get back i wanted to cancel my order and get the refund but there is no possibility i lost $2515 G2RP3PWU.
Truly the worst experience I've had with any supplier.
Ordered a pregnancy pillow on 18 October and was advised that it would be dispatched 19 October. After not receiving any shipping details, I contacted Kogan on 26 October and received an email from ‘Kyle M' requesting that I allow an additional 3 business days for dispatch as they are experiencing delays. By this time, it was already 5 business days after the promised dispatch date. I then followed up a number of times and received NO response. I submitted another request for an update on dispatch and received the identical automated email from ‘Kyle M' requesting that I allow an additional 3 business days. I followed up multiple times over the 15 business days, 19 regular days, to try and get some sort of answer as to whether I would actually receive my item, and now, on 3 November, I have no choice but to cancel my order and request a refund.
People choose Kogan because it is an Australian business and we want to support our own economy. However the service provided, or lack of I should say, from Kogan is absolutely atrocious. No response from email enquiries and there is no phone number to try and speak to an actual human. Incredibly disappointed by the complete and utter disregard for any sort of customer service.
I wouldn't recommend purchasing anything from Kogan that you actually need within a reasonable time, as there is NO way to contact them to get any sort of update on dispatch and delivery.
This will certainly be the last time I ever even consider Kogan as a supplier.
I was wrongfully charged with an ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP while purchasing an item. I contacted Kogan immediately but they refused to refund or even cancel my membership! Terrible service. They obviously don't care about stealing from their customers. I regret every buying on Kogan.com. By the way, the item y purchased arrived 11 days late and they did not take any responsibility. Shame on them.
Product was useless (wall cabinets) - Kogan themselves were ok to deal with (delivery, response etc), however it cost me $100 to receive the products and then send them back... so a total waste of time and effort.
My son used my credit card purchased a pool from Kogan around 9:00 pm, he said he stopped in the middle and I didn't receive any email notification neither.
I checked my account and found Monday deducted. I couldn't cancel it because I couldn't find any order records from my Kogan account.
I had to email the customer care in next day 8:00am, hoped that they don't proceed the order if there is record. But no response.
In the next few days I kept contacting them, someone replied me once asked for my details.
One week later I received the pool, the supplier called me and told me Kogan didn't notify them the cancellation until 5 days later I emailed them. Now they won't refund the money.
I still kept emailing Kogan, but no more reply.
That's what happened to me.
Thanks for reading.
I have purchased three products from Kogan and was happy with the products and delivery.
But with the last order I was signed up for Kogan First, I hadn't asked for it and hadn't ticked any boxes for it. Apparently it is deep within the T's & C's, a trap set for the unwary.
I spotted it and with great difficulty managed to cancel it. I then warned the bank of a possible unauthorised withdrawal and wrote a review, to warn others and told Kogan I didn't trust them anymore.
I avoided Kogan for some time as a result but noticed an item that I had difficulty finding so I had a look, remembering my past experience with them. Surely the consumer protection organisations have dealt with this issue by now!
Well they haven't, sure enough Kogan pulled this stunt again, there it was, Kogan First. It is such a difficult and arduous task cancelling First, taking about twenty minutes and a lot of anxiety. And now I'll have to warn the bank again of another possible unauthorised withdrawal and write another review.
Kogan, wake up to yourself, the first line of this review would indicate a five star review but I would give you none if I could, I won't tolerate chicanery and trickery. By the way, I have a special account for organisations like you, it only holds two dollars until I transfer funds at the time I make the purchase.
So here is the review, and watch out, I meet many people and I'm one heck of a chatterbox, the word will spread. And Kogan is out of my life, I'm too old to waste twenty minutes of my life every time I make a purchase from you.
I returned a product in perfect order, they took months to find it within their system.
Then offered me a credit on account only. Numerous complaints about this Coy but still they get away with a poor service to customers. Never again.
I order a TV from Kogan on the 14/09/2021 and today is the 20/10/201 and its still not arrived. I've emailed them multiple times and keep getting the same default replay. There is no customer service at all and no contact number to call.
Think twice before buying from Kogan.com
I'm a quality seller on Kogan and time after time I'm dismayed about how sellers are treated. We get monthly performance reports on things like how fast we dispatched, whether we cancelled any orders due to nil stock etc. At first glance, the rated metrics look awesome and very fair and a reputable company should have no trouble meeting them.
However, each month I'm given a report that even my own account Manager will say the information is incorrect. So for example, getting my items out as required, I'll receive a report with a low rating and an added warning. When you look into the situation, there was a public holiday. So I contact my account Manager and he assures me that the public holiday information is updated on their end. Which is great, but it also means I should be receiving the updated report from his end, NOT an incorrect Monthly Performance Analysis with a warning.
To add to this, they require communication or dispatch information on orders within 2 hours of purchase. This is despite giving them the information that your e-Parcel contracted pick up time is midday. So if an order comes in at 12:30, they still expect dispatch information by 2:30. These guys can't even meet their own standards, I am now waiting for over 1 month for contact in relation to a customer request that clearly didn't even belong to me. It was about shoes and I don't even sell shoes. You will see by my attached image that I'm following up weeks later on a request that is STILL unanswered to this very day.
Even the staff that handle customer service help are condescending and very little help. You find yourself having to write 2 or 3 emails for the same question because they give you general 'blow off' type responses, which in the end only wastes time and resources on both ends.
The treatment of sellers is just downright shameful.
Purchased a mirror that was NOT a pre sale 2 days later it became a pre sale. Now not being delivered until January 2022 cant contact Kogan to cancel order and refund - they dont reply to emails DONT BUY FROM THIS PLACE
I ordered item which supposed to come in 7 days max, i wait for 2 weeks, and they said it's already delivered but i didnt get item, they don't respond to my emails, dont use this marketplace if you dont want to be disappointed!
I doubt I will ever use Kogan again thanks to the lies deceitfulness and disgusting treatment I received from Amberhill Online 1 of their traders. Sold me a faulty coxxyc pillow I had for under 2 weeks went to take cover off to wash the cover only and found the pillow was nearly split in 2. Was told it was my fault and they want to replace with different pillow as they had none left but looking at their store on my deal they have 19 to sell I screenshot the photos from my deal Amberhill Online shop and sent it to them still being told I'm a liar and I split the pillow funny thing is I've worked in upholstery and with foam in my past foam does not just split. Be very weary of this Amberhill Online they don't like to Honour their warranties.
Bought an item on 4sept, shipped on 4sept and delivered on 1st Oct.
Essential item,, baby camera. 27days to be delivered from Australia to Christchurch
Pathetic service and even more pathetic courier companies
I was asked by Kogan contrary to Australian Consumer Law that I was responsible for postage and technical assessment of the broken monitor which has an obvious defect. It doesn't turn on anymore. I photographed the resultant white screen to be told this was somehow my fault.
With the goods under a one year replacement guarantee!
Awful customer service and poor excuses for not giving a full refund. I had to settle for just 80% back. I would not recommend to anyone
These kogan arseholes are refunding all purchases without explanation from customers who are unvaccinated.
I have recently bought a few things from the Kogan website and I must say what a disappointment overall.
I bought a Kogan 34" monitor and was of poor quality. I asked for a refund but was given store credit. The problem is that they don't have a decent variety of 4K large monitors so I am stuck with them.
I also bought an Office chair for $300 which turned out to be very ordinary. I have bought a better chair from Office works for far less.
The whole buying set-up is arranged in such a way that once you are stuck with them, you keep losing more.
Moreover, they do not have a number where you can call and talk to someone but rather it is done only through Emails which put the customer at their mercy completely with no accountability.
I applied for Kogan first membership and was charged the whole yearly fee instead of monthly.
Never again, I have been fooled this time but never again!
Answer: Not only rubbish customer service, they won't give you a refund if your product doesn't arrive. - Check these out - https://www.accc.gov.au/media-release/kogan-in-court-for-alleged-false-or-misleading-discount-advertisements https://www.choice.com.au/shopping/consumer-rights-and-advice/your-rights/articles/kogan-returns-and-refunds-issues I learnt the hard way so save your safe the time and stress and go elsewhere.
Answer: Stay away from Kogan - I think you have by default signed up for some crap Kogan First Club - if you didn't unsubscibe within 14 days, they then hit you with a membership fee
Answer: No they just say they will get back to you eventually but they never do
