I have been a customer with Killstar.us for many years now. I own many of their older styles and used to tell people about them locally anytime I was wearing their clothes.
About a month ago, I placed an order for 4 dresses during a sale they were having. The sizing was ALL OVER the place, some of them being like, 2 sizes too big, and others being a size or two too small. I never had issues with sizing in the past with this company. I ended up exchanging 2 items and returning a third. I had to spend about $15.00 in return shipping. Then, they made multiple mistakes with my exchange order causing delays and confusion with my finances. When I finally got my two exchange items almost another month later, the sizing was wildly off again with one dress fitting perfectly and the other being way too small. I emailed their customer service asking if they would consider sending me a shipping label to return this dress, since I was already out $15 for the previous return/exchange order, and since they had made a mistake with my original order, refunding me twice and causing me a lot of confusion. Not only do they REFUSE to send you any kind of shipping label, even IF they make a mistake, they will totally blow off your concerned about their garment quality and ignore anything else you say. They will repeatedly send you a link to their website and that is it. I asked to speak to a Supervisor or someone higher up over there and I was completely ignored. In this case, then, all we can do is leave reviews and share our experience in the hopes that is will save someone else this trouble. DO NOT ORDER ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY. The straps on the dresses are sewn poorly, they are often crooked, and I have had to hand-sew/modify the last 2 strappy dresses I bought from this place because they were sewn so poorly, or crooked, or had threads shooting out all over the place looking cheap and unfinished. Not good for $50+ a cheap cotton dress with print.

I remember when this company actually sold great merchandise. But it's just gone downhill. Forget sizing with anything, it's a guessing game. Items come damaged or not as they appeared on site. Yes, they ship considerably fast, but in doing this and all the excessive sales they bombard you with in your email, they don't account for what they have in stock. I ordered four items, was told that day all were confirmed for purchase. Three days later, was sent an email alerting me that the 4 items had ALL been shipped, tracking number and all. Then suddenly, 4 days after that, imagine my surprise when I get an email from KILLSTAR (no I was not surprised, we've been down this shady road before), telling me that oopsy one of the items was never actually in stock and now I'm getting a refund. What? Why did that take over a week? Of course customer service was vague and nasty as usual, don't even bother with them, they don't care if they lose customers, they'd rather make a quick buck.
The best part is, they already took the full amount out of my bank account and no refund has been issued. Then I was told that my refund would be 25.64, when the shirt was 26.99. I asked why and the response was because I used a 30% off sale code. Mind you, this sale applied to every item I purchased. It's so convenient they chose to apply it to my refund item to rob me of a dollar from an item I'll never see from a mistake they made. I really wonder if they want repeat customers at all? Because I have dropped hundreds at this company in the past, less in recent years, just to be screwed over like this.
Way to go KILLSTAR, I'll take my business elsewhere. Your merchandise is subpar at best and overpriced. Shop on Etsy.

Imagine this: You're scrolling through Instagram and the like, endless mindless entertainment when suddenly! Oh? A pretty dress? And oh, look at that price! It seems like everything is on sale! Now's the perfect time to buy it and you're riding on a high! So you buy the dress and a nice necklace to pair. Sure, it might be $78 but you don't care, it's exciting! So after a hour of thinking, you place the order! Great! But, oh no. Now seeing how much it was, you start to feel awful. Maybe you don't want it…well, surely you can cancel the order right quick? Just a tap and boom, money back in 2-5 business days. But, oh no! Where's the cancel button? It's no where to be found? Maybe it's one of those sites where you have to contact them, no biggie. So you scroll down, panic slowly rising as you click on the ‘Contact us', only to be greeted by useless words about how long it'd take for orders to go through and how long it'd take to get a response from customer service. But no way to contact them in sight. So you look it up, and their social medias pop up. Okay, so I have to directly contact them? So you Dm them on Instagram, only to get smacked with a automated robot response sending you to the same useless contact page. ‘Okay' you think, ‘maybe try emailing?' And to no avail, it's robots as well. At this point you're shaking in frustration and fear, and all the reviews about not-so-good quality has you reeling. So you decide to contact them in every form, Twitter, Both their Instagrams, Emailing, everything. You even tweet at them, hoping then you'd get a response. So now you sit and wait, hoping you can get your money back.
I ordered two things both came in perfect conditions within a week of ordering they arrivedl. No complaints would definitely order from here again.
This was the worst online shopping experience I have ever experienced. This problem went on for over 2 months, and ended unsatisfactorily.
I ordered a bag in late November as a Christmas gift. All was fine, until 2 weeks passed and I tracked my delivery and saw that the package had been sitting in the delivery office for a few days. I called Royal Mail, who was sending the package, and they aid they had attempted delivery, and that it had been delivered to a different address. I have no idea why this was.
At this time, I was told there was nothing i could do. I told Killstar about this and did not get a response until i messaged a second time. They opened an investigation. To cut a long story short, i did not receive any more emails from Killstar until January. They said the delivery had failed and the package was returned to them. They also said that they would delivery the package. A week passed and still nothing. I had to message them three time to get a response, and was asked to pay the delivery fee again.
I thought this was ridiculous. This had been going on for two months, for no fault of my own, and i was expected to pay for delivery again, when it wasn't delivered the first time? Frustrated, i asked that Royal Mail or Killstar pay for the delivery, or simply give me a refund as this was unacceptable.
As is clearly a routine now, i got no response. It wasn't until this morning that i got a receipt for a refund. But, this was only for the bag i tried to purchase. They did not refund me the cost of the original delivery. So, here we are. Nearly three months since i first ordered it, no bag, less money.
Thanks but no thanks Killstar. Never again.
TLDR: Unresponsive, unfair, unhelpful, unsympathetic and charged me for nothing but wasted time.
Quality of items are not worth the price you pay. Do not buy from this site, wish I would've seen these reviews before buying. Customer service takes days to get back to you.
I bought the belladonna shearling coat from them. Upon receiving the item was mortified about the lack of quality in the coat. Tons of loose threads along seams. And the embroidery detail was coming undone. Also the size was really odd, but I figured it was because I wasn't use to their clothing sizes.
I asked for a return. They gave me 2 options.
I could exchange the coat, or keep it and get partial store credit. (However didn't say how much the store credit would be)
I was really upset with the item and just wanted a return so asked if I could do that. They sent a return label and told me they would exchange it for me. Again I stated that I just wanted a return. Waited a few more days for a reply and in the meantime was getting annoyed and asked how much the store credit would be and just figured at least if I did it that way, I wouldn't have to deal with the confusion on their part. When they responded with how much it would be I asked to switch to that option. They then proceeded to tell me that I couldn't change my mind and that my only option was to send the coat back and I could do store credit. Why would I want to stay with this store!?
So now I'm hoping they just return it and give me my money back. Hopefully it doesn't take forever too. I'm very annoyed and wish I wouldn't have given this site a chance. There are much better alternative clothing stores out there that have amazing customer service. Please buyers, shop elsewhere. Don't waste your money.
I ordered a pair of boots, and the company had free shipping for orders over a certain amount. I received the boots, put one on and the zipper didn't want to zip at all without applying a tremendous amount of force. I didn't even bother trying to put the other boot on before I had decided to return them. I notified their customer service, and was told I could send them back for a full refund. After I had re-packaged them, someone from Killstar emailed me asking me to send them pictures of the damaged part... I would have had to send them a video for them to see the boot zipper was faulty. So, I let them know that I had already packaged the item.
I took them to the post office and to ship them back it cost me around $33.00. I track the package and note that it arrived had arrived to their facility. I contacted customer service and was told a refund would be issued within 7-10 business days.
Fast forward to the wee hours of this morning when I received an email from them noting I was issued a partial refund. PARTIAL?! I contacted them via email and they informed me that, "Thank you for your email. I can confirm that you have been refunded less relevant shipping costs. For orders where customers have opted for FREE SHIPPING and a refund is requested, a Shipping Fee which will be deducted from the refund/ credit amount. https://us.killstar.com/pages/returns Much love, Stacey"
I emailed again stating I didn't elect or "opt" for free shipping. Additionally, I had already paid $33 to send the item back... Stacey informed me that "Thank you for your reply. As previously advised, you have been refunded less relevant shipping costs as per the return guidelines. Due to this, I cannot further assist. Warm Regards, Stacey"
This company not only has poor customer service but they seem to be running some sort of scam concerning returns. I have previously purchased items from Killstar and have never had a problem until it came time that I had to return something.
It's too bad that a seemingly cool company treats customers so poorly on the regular! After research I see that many others have had similar issues too. The Mallice Platform Trainers the subject of my latest purchase from Killstar arrived yesterday and within 5 minutes I was wearing them. They looked even better up close, than they looked on the website. Definitely worth the full price I didnt even pay for them. I absolutely love them, and they definitely have that unisex appeal. The quality is of an extremely high standard. I fell once wearing them, but that was for a number of reasons, I have cerebral palsy and I didnt take the usual precautions of breaking them in before wearing them in town. Secondly technically they are girls footwear and have a slightly narrower soul, than the guys flat shoes I normally wear. In fairness I fall in them too all the time. They help me concentrate more on my walking which is good thing. I have to say though both the guys and girls I was out with last night thought they were absolutely awesome, and quite a few photos were taken of them.
I have been buying cool stuff from Killstar for a few years, admittedly mostly during the flash site wide sales. Rarely if ever, have I been disappointed with the value for money deals, the clothes or the footwear, the latter unfortunately only available on the girls website. For me that problem if you can call it that, is a minor issue. I am quite content to get stuff from both their websites in search of the style and comfort Im looking for. In all my dealings with Killstar their customer service has been excellent and hassle free, which is great as well. These wonderful people really do prioritise their customers. I purchased my jackets in the past and my Trainers through refund exchanges, and they couldnt have been more supportive or attentive to my needs. If you have to exchange an item or want a refund its never a problem as long as the items are returned in the same packaging and condition which they were received. I cant thank the staff at Killstar enough for the assistance and understanding they have given me over the last few years. I really like their attitude that nothing is a problem and there is always a solution inherent in their dealings with me. Dont worry returning stuff for me is a rare event for me in Killstar land but very occasionally have to return items due to wrong sizing and fit etc. Oh by the way there delivery service is top class, items arrive on time, or much earlier than anticipated

Answer: Their sizes seem to be random. Some items are true to size, others are very small. But if you order and the size doesn't fit, you have to pay to return it.
