Bought a few items for my sister's bd and it was sent to her address. Later found out they messed up on one of the items and could not honor it. Instead wanted my sister to send it back while they send the item they messed up on. The item is probably $29.99 which should be nothing to write off. I'm a manager in customer service and would've never allow the person to go through such a hassle after they made a mistake. I will never shop here again. I'm embarrassed to ask my sister to return something that she already received by their mistake..
I received a purse for Christmas 2015, used it for about 8 months before the handles started to fall apart. I took it in to my local Kate Spade store and they said they could fix the handles for free since it was under the one year warranty. I received the bag back a few weeks later, the straps were repaired but they were still the original worn straps. Another 8 months later the straps are falling apart again. I'm unwilling to fix this since I know it will happen again.
I thought a $300 plus purse would last a few years with no problems, but this purse doesn't last as long as a purse that is cheaper than $50! I won't be buying anything from Kate Spade in the future due to the lack of quality.
Order processed with incorrect address after the purchase was sent to paypal, spent weeks arguing for a refund, they totally denied any liability, promised a refund two weeks ago and still nothing.

My new Kate Spade sat two months in storage in a plastic purse hanger behind my closet door. The red colour on the edge of the handle on both sides bled into the face of the purse. I contacted customer service and they told me that it was caused by "normal wear and tear" and was not covered by their warranty. I had never worn the purse and nothing had ever touched it but itself and it was only two months into their one year warranty. When I looked for the label inside the pocket that they ask you to send I realized that on the back of the Kate Spade made in New York label it actually says made in China. The cheap China dye had leaked on my brand new purse and Kate spade is denying any responsibility for their quite obvious factory defect. I bought 4 Kate purses and this is the last. It was obvious how the dye Mark fits perfectly with the purse handle.
Bought a handbag at a store. The day after I use it I notice the fabric connecting to the handle is tearing apart. Called the store and told them. They didn't care and said they would replace it. I live 2 hours away from the nearest store. They didn't offer to return it or ship me a new bag. Their online customer service through email has yet to respond. It's been two weeks. I sent pictures of the torn bag to them today. Maybe that will help. Very poor service for a retailer that charges hundreds of dollars for their bags... defective no less.
Purchased a min-pendant. It's MICROSCOPIC. Cannot believe they sell something like that for 32.00. The item looks much bigger on the model who is a grown adult. On my neice, this looks a quarter of the size. Definitely not shopping here again.
Just bought my 1st Kate Spade bag online. It was well over $125 and looks cheap as hell. The leather is very thin. It is also my LAST KS bag. Will never buy another bag online. You really need to examine one 'in the flesh'.
Kate Spade has always been my favorite. I myself or my husband as gifts have bought; wedding shoes several purses wallets bracelets necklaces and watches. Never had a problem until recently I was gifted their Truly yours paver ring as a push present. I got the ring 6/4/20 but mid July several stones have fallen out. The ring wasn't too expensive but surely it should last more than 2 months. After reaching out to customer service they said there was nothing they could do. Disappointed that after all of the money spent on other products they couldn't even replace one little ring. They told me to go to a jewelry store and have the stones replaced( where I'm sure I'd pay more for repairs than the ring cost)
I have been purchasing both from the Kate Spade full priced store and the outlet stores (for clothing and gifts for young adults).
The online surprise sale is almost always outlet stuff! I live near both so I go and check them out. Let me tell you get what you pay for don't except to have great quality for $100 if you want that go to the main stores. You do pay 2-3× but I find that if you like a bag and wait for it to be on sale with an additional 30% it's totally worth it! The full price store leather bags all come with dust bags AND there gift boxes (I ask for all of mine to be boxed) is gorgeous! If you wait your looking about $200-$300 for a great bag that won't break on you unlike the other bags that I've gotten at the outlets. (Hence why I no longer purchase from there).
My husband bought me a flowery bag n matching wallet last year for mother's day and I loved it. I get so many compliments. All leather. Exactly what I would expect from katespade.com

I order the Mulberry Street lise and a bangle. When I open my order both items were incorrect. I contact Customer Services and they only say sorry for the inconvenience. Then, they said that the item is out of stock. They can not help me, I have to return the item and they will refund my money. Which, I have to wait for more than 30 days because they messed up. On top of getting the wrong item, they are not even willing to send me a similar purse. If I want a similar purse, I will have to buy it. I really was not expecting this from Kate Spade. I love the products, but things like this makes me not buy from Kate Spade no more. They need to train their reps to help members and find solutions. I'm so disappointed with all this. It seems that they are in a rush to get out of the chat or call and do not appreciate our time and money we put into buying their products. It is so sad to experience this.
Kate spade website showed me the total amount to be paid for my order to be $249, however, $337 was deducted from my bank account. I Contacted customer care service but they were so rude and ended the chat without even trying to resolve the issue. Kate spade seems to play games with customers on the name of ‘Black Friday & cyber Monday ‘ offers.

Bought a purse that came damaged. The leather is rubbed off and there's scratches all over. Attempted to get on chat with a customer rep and they were ABSURDLY rude. She essentially ended the chat on me, in the middle of me typing. I was told my only options were returning the product for a refund, or keeping it as is. So that's what your money will get you folks... damaged goods, rude representatives, and no options to fix it really. I don't want to return the item, I wanted one sent to me that wasn't $#*!ed up. That's not a lot to ask for, considering that Kate Spade is a LUXURY brand. I'll never be buying anything from them ever again. Sad that they focus on doing whatever they can to take your money, rather than the quality of their goods.
I have been buying in kate spade north las vegas outlet. Theres a manager there that looks like a clown even the voice looks like a clown. Very un professional and unhelpful.
From month of October and November purchase a total of almost $2500. I returned 2 purses out of those purchased nov 14 to be exact. To date dec 3. No credit on my account. Different managers told me. The worst shopping experience ever at Kate Spade at Tanger Outlet. Would not return a purchase within the 30 day refund policy. Accused the purse of being used because the tag fell off. Purchased a purse from the sight. Never received it, though payment was taken. When I contacted them they sent me a new purse but I was charged 50.00 to, have it sent to me. Still have not been reimbursed. Everyone passes the buck when you call. For this reason I would never purchase a Kate spade bag. I have actually sold 2 bags that I have because they have left such a bad taste in my mouth
Ordered a kate spade iPhone LEATHER case. Within 2 months the trim started to separate from the case. I contacted kate spade customer service, was told unless you purchased your item DIRECTLY from us, not any other retailer no warranty. The leather case isn't leather trim-cheap plastic. I told him you can tell counterfeit products. He didn't care that I offered to send him the case and then let me know if it was counterfeit. The product is crap and not leather. It should not have fallen apart within 2 months and it was purchased from a reputable retailer.
I had bought Kate Spade for years, having spent thousands for handbags, shoes and accessories.
First week of December 2018, the metal zipper pull to my wallet broke off and was lost. The next day, I went to its San Francisco store expecting repair service. Staff took my wallet, said it would take 2 to 3 weeks, I said I was willing to pay.
Returned after 3 weeks and my wallet was not returned. Then after 2 months, still not returned. I called, not in. On April 19, after 4.5 months, they had my wallet and said due to a repair policy change, they could not fix it. COULD NOT replace the parta small, metal zipper pull for a wallet that I purchased from their company. The store staff... no apology, no sympathy, not friendly. The zipper pull breaking was a defect and they would not accommodate me. I wrote "Customer Service" (yes, in quotes) about my experience and never received a reply. Yeah, I'm pissed!

Answer: Good luck with that! Once they make a sale that's it. Good luck getting in touch with a person. The brick and mortar store maybe easier to deal with, but the website is the worst. Don't do business with these guys online
