I tried to purchase a gift card for my sister (who loves this store) last year and I tried to do it again this year and now I remember why it never went through. The company makes it very difficult to navigate their website. It took me a while to even find the option to purchase a gift card. Once I found that, I tried to add it to the cart to purchase and it gave me an error that said my password is incorrect. No problem, I clicked on the link to reset. Went to my email address and clicked on the reset password link. I type in my password twice and it gives me an error - no details on why it didn't work. It is beyond frustrating! I'll take my money elsewhere.
I ordered on line for first time with Joss and main. It is by far one of the easiest on line orders I have placed and I do most of my shopping on line. I like the free S&H. The items I bought were at a great discount.
I ordered a desk from them and kept getting emails of "shipment delayed." When I called customer service, I was told that there was a warehouse reorganization and that the desk would be delivered on April 10, then April 14, then April 21, etc...
Although I was kept updated by a good customer rep, this was ridiculous. Today I got an email saying the item was now backordered and that my order was cancelled. I just ordered something similar from Houzz and am hoping that this problem will not happen again. Bottom line is Joss and Main was selling something that was not in stock and was not advertised as such.
Ordered a Butler Furniture brand "Summerton Armchair" from them. In the pic, it looks like butter yellow fabric. The chair arrived timely, but it's TAN stripe. Also the chair is in 8 pieces and must be assembled! And to cap it all off, the back of the chair has a grease stain on it right in the middle, and the backing on the bottom was left untrimmed. Even the wood finish in the pic was deceptive. It's supposed to be whitewashed, but it's painted MDF. Butler and J&M should be ashamed and anyone thinking of buying this chair should think again. BTW, the delivery guy said it was from "Wayfair" and when I said, No, Joss and Main, he replied that a lot of folks say that, but it came from Wayfair, so I guess they own J&M. Beware.
I am new to this site. I found it on Facebook and am so glad that I did! I have not yet received my items, as I have just ordered, but can say that the ordering was so easy! I can't wait to get my items!
I have ordered several items and had to return a couple just because I changed my mind on one and had a problem with the other. No problems at all with returns and refunds received very fast. Items always received quickly and those I have kept have been great quality and great prices. Customer service is topnotch -- friendly and extremely helpful --and I will continue to "shop" with them.
I was pleased with the price of the items, the delivery time, and the ease of the website. However, I was not thrilled with the $175 hidden cost for delivery. The website featured a delivery cost of $9.95 and free delivery for other purchases made within a month. Upon completing the purchase, an extra $175 charge appeared on top of the $9.95 delivery cost. Evidently, the chairs I purchased warranted an additional fee (which was not specified), but this fee was almost the same as the price for one chair! Not happy, but I need furniture... Not sure that I will purchase from this company again if they continue to sneak costs in...
The products look good and inspiring. I haven't bought anything from it yet. But I have to say the website is not intuitive. It creates different themes for shopping. But if I come here just looking for a particular item say a mudroom hanger/cabinet, the site makes it almost impossible to search. I have to plow through various themes and go item by item to look for it. That's stupid!
I enjoy Joss & Main so much! The items are unique and I can always find great bargains for high quality pieces. My kitchen island light fixture shipped quickly, came in perfect condition and was exactly as I hoped it would be. It was priced much lower than any fixtures I had seen anywhere I had shopped in store. I had looked for months at local shops and couldn't find anything to fit my decor and taste. First time I was on the site, there it was and I couldn't be happier! I've just ordered what I hope to be the perfect area rug for the kitchen! I can't wait for it to arrive :)
I have only received 2 items so far due to damage in transit of of a seating set. I got two rugs and may have to send one back due to color. I have 2 sets of furniture coming and I am excited to see them. I like the selection and convenience as well as the prices.
Ordered a bench for our bedroom, bench for the laundry room, bench for the front hallway. One came damaged- they sent a new one so I could mix and match pieces to get a good set. Then had an extra bench- scuffed up- but I put it in the basement. Ordered a night stand- loved it, ordered a 2nd one.
Ordered a dining room table, 6 chairs, and a sideboard. Some items were scuffed and they're sending replacement parts.
GREAT customer service, can't believe they have such bad reviews.
While the initial order process is great, I rather reserve my opinion until the transaction is completed. It has been my experience that the customer service goes south after the monetary transaction.

This site does not honor its pricing. What is the point of getting email updates a couple of times a day for items on sale if they can cancel your order at anytime if they priced the item incorrectly on THEIR site in THEIR advertisement. It falsifies the whole company and what it stands for. Don't order from the site. Its a waste of time.
I live in Canada on Vancouver Island and so my options for furniture is limited. I've bought a leather club chair and a custom upholstered bed from Joss & Main so far and can honestly say I can't wait to put in my next order! True, I paid an arm & a leg in duty and shipping, but even still for the quality of pieces that I bought I still saved hundreds from anywhere here on the island.
I was delighted to find a beautiful fluffy curtain, pink underlay and white fluff on top. Perfect for our room, when we received it, it was a bright pink underlay and bright pink fluff on top... I want to exchange them for the white one... how do I go about doing this?
Second time ordering from Joss and Main. First time we received a second shipment which we thought we were going to have to pay for. However, once we spoke with a sales rep we were encouraged to keep or donate the second shipment at no charge. The customer service is what earned our trust and has allowed my wife and I to relax and enjoy shopping or browsing at Joss and Main. Ps. Great items at great sales prices. We do recommend Joss and Main.

I previously ordered a Langley Green ceramic garden stool as a gift. A charcoal brown stool arrived instead. The receiver of the gift liked the stool so it was not returned. Also, it is a pain to have to return merchandise.
The 2 items I purchased were on sale and then it said I qualify for free standard shipping. After that you charged me $125 for shipping. I don't like the way you did this, either give me the free shipping - all shipping or don't say I qualify for free shipping.
This is a site that one needs to review daily to make sure you are not missing a great find. Some days one can find great things to suit your needs and other times not so much. But one needs to browse through the site daily.
I have purchased many products from Wayfair and Joss and Main and I have been completely satisfied with the quality of their products. Customer service is also great! Thank you for such a great shopping experience.
Answer: Everything that I have ordered so far has been excellent. One time, the item just didn't quite look great in my bedroom. I returned it no questions asked for a full credit. Nether even paid the postage. I could have returned it for a full refund but I would had to pay the postage. In any event, very flexible on returns, which, as I say, has only happened once.
Answer: I don't know if they accept Pay Pal but their merchandise is over priced. I will not be ordering with them again because of lousy customer service!
Answer: Hello Helen, I'very never ordered furniture from J&M but any other item I've ordered has been in stock, shipped within a day and has been rec'd without any issues. I do love Joss & Main.
Answer: Hello - I always wash any fabric product before using - but I use my "gentle" cycle and only cold water without any soap. This always works for me and keeps the fabric in good shape without any chemical products still there.
Answer: I would copy and paste the name and model number of this particular sofa in a search engine and a shop bot like Nextag or Bizrate. This may find some reviews on other sites and sometimes even a better price or return option.
Answer: I'm not employed at Joss & Main, so someone at Joss and Main should be able to help with the answer on shipments to Canada. I don't see why not. Joss and Main is in Boston, right? I'm from the SouthEast.
Answer: You get what you pay for with Joss and Main. Google the details like the measurements and comments about the fabric because they often rename their items. I have been mostly happy with my items because I have reasonable expectations regarding quality. I don't expect to get something for nothing. Personally, I wouldn't buy a couch unless I could sit in it first but that's just me. Joss and Main is good with damage claims and they are responsive but you need to be careful about what you buy.
