Indianroots has gone from bad to worse... especially since they initiated massive discount sales... I'm very anxious about all my money blocked as I'm paying interest on the credit card... they don't deliver for months after order placement, customer care is a sham... no response or the usual standard email.
I'm very upset as I have used my credit card for almost all transactions.
Stay away from NDTV's Indian Roots. They are bogus. They collect money by showing merchandise and never deliver. My order is *******. I placed a months ago - paid US $ 160. Never received merchandise nor my money refunded. After complain on this site - they cancelled my order but saying they can not refund my money.
Looks like Indian Roots CEO is some kind of drug addict - stealing money from common people.
Wonder after so many people complaints, he is not yet arrested by law enforcement offices in India.
Indianroots lived up to its reputation of being a fraudulent website. Classic bait and switch business model. Order never arrived. Every time I tried to find out they would give me a different reason. Reporting the website to the local Attorney General in the US and reporting them to the credit bureaus so that consumers are warned about this company.

Indianroots is a fantastic site to shop a lot things not only clothes but yes with wide variety of accessories. Its became my first choice to shop online. Ordered one cotton dress from Astha & Siddharth at Indianroots. Though I live in Gurgaon, but still they are taking 21 days to deliver, while other sites like lime road are ready to deliver the same dress in 3-4 days. Wish I had ordered from lime road.

I thought I was getting a stitched blouse WITH the saree. The website wasn't clear on that obviously. It said "saree and blouse". That's it. Nothing else! It took about 2 weeks to get here because they wait around on shipping orders it seems. If you need something in advance, I would plan ahead if you absolutely need something from their store! Make sure the blouse is stitched (contact them first). When the blouse and saree arrived, there was a problem... my upper arms were slightly too big to be covered with the sleeve material. Oh, the sleeve material is so cheaply made that I tossed it aside due to worries of it getting holes in it while I'm at a wedding function. It's mesh material! There was nothing under the mesh to make it stronger. It was like this stuff came from China, not India and you can imagine how that goes! The saree wrap was okay. The top? Not so much. When I actually stitched it together myself, I noticed so much that went wrong that heaven forbid if I hired someone else to do the work, they would have gotten so frustrated with how the embroidery was done that they would probably A) mess it all up or B) rip me off really bad for the pain and torture they endured to stitch the top together. Mind you, the sleeve material isn't ample enough for my upper arms so that stuff was useless. If you wear a size medium or large women's shirt, the sleeves more than likely won't fit you.
I feel traumatized!

I ordered 4 sarees for my 82 yr old mother in law via indian roots on May 29,2015. Three sarees got delivered in a staggered manner. The fourth one is yet to be despatched. I have since chatted with 6 customer service personnel and each of them offer apologies (!) for the inconvenience and a time line of 5-7 days for despatch. Today, I was given a time line of 2 business days for update on the despatch by their customer service associate. I suppose I need to follow up again on the coming Monday! Only thing I would want to say, is, order at your own risk and be prepared to keep following up to get ur products. I would definitely think twice before ordering through indian roots. Not worth the headache!

I have ordered an item almost 2 months ago and still haven't received my order. I have tried to contact customer service multiple times but every time they have promised it will be delivered within a few days. I am very much disappointment with their service. I have made a Prepaid order of one blouse on 21 october but till me time its not delivered. I have contacted Customer care but nobody is picking the call as all the agents are busy all the time. I have sent an email on(9-Nov-2015) they replied the same day and said it will be delivered in next 5 days. Now its been 7 days still nothing from them and I have sent an email today again but nobody is responding. If somebody is going to respond so please order no is #*******.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY. I purchased a product last August and for the THIRD time it could not be procured. After a RIDICULOUS delivery period, I still didn't receive anything. I ordered something else with the credit that I had and again nothing for 3 months. I asked for a refund and have been chasing it for the last 2 months. They have standard, typed responses with zero customer service. NO CONTACT NUMBER. They are pinnacle of inefficiency and represent everything that you worry about when shopping online from an overseas company.

The order was supposed to arrive in 15 days... it's been more than a month and I see no signs of it arriving any time soon.
I've called and complained numerous times and the people keep deflecting my questions with vague answers.

I received a note stating my order is successful. Only after waiting for close to a month I got to know that there was Rs. Shipping charge pending hence order was not successful. I am totally confused with a email that says Order is successful, it also has a pending word in general, site accepted the order with no rejection at the time of placing order. If you cannot deliver products as per the estimated time quoted in the final bill, why do you estimate at all? I have been waiting for a month to receive items that estimated 14 days as shipping time. In today's time when items are shipped within 1-3 days across the world it is really strange to see such a long waiting time and even that Indianroots cannot meet. Extremely disappointed!
