Don't use this service

I've been on there site for a solid 3 days and nights and still have not been able to get in. It says my wait time is over 5 hours, then it goes down to 1 hour 12 minutes then goes back to 5 hours when my WiFi shuts off. No wonder so many can't get there unemployment. This is nuts! The don't have the staff for the contracts they take on. Don't use them.

Absolutely worthless. I uploaded my license, can't find me. I give my address and phone, they can't find me. I uploaded all documents and waited for a "trusted referee" to verify me via video call, and it told me I had a 3½ hour wait. I waited from 8am until 10pm, and the lowest it got to was 30min wait left and remained unchanged. No one got back to me. I'm highly suspect if anyone operates the site at all. Leave it to our government to completely screw the working class. I pray to God that whoever owns ID.me to end up destitute and rely on government assistance, maybe then they'll see what it's like.

TERRIBLE SERVICE

I've been on hold waiting for a representative for over two days now! If everybody is basically working from home how in the world is it taking so long to verify someone's identity all these people put here that need jobs money etc... and y'all playing get a better system cause this is terrible worst idea y'all ever came up with!

Ofcourse states are using this trash... and states issues their own id's. LOLOLOL No one picks up the phone, this is nothing more than another middle man that is not needed.

I uploaded personal documents to comply with the Pandemic Unemployment Assistance Portal in order to file my weekly claim. The first day I sat for 5 hours waiting for an "ID.me Trusted Referee." The following day I waited in the (5 hour) queue twice. Every time I was directed to reload the documents. I'm furious! Now they have a copies of my personal information.

I have spent 8 hours on average a day to be reached by a ID.me referee! They have a copy of my social, drivers license, front and back, a bill that I had to scan and send for proof! They say they can't recognize you, to accept a contact call via FaceTime from a ID.me person so to actually verify you. After waiting for 8 to 9 hours on the phone, they send you a message saying there was a problem with your bill proof! The whole point of being contacted is to get verified. If I lose my unemployment because of their useless system, I will file a lawsuit!

This place is a joke

I can't get anyone to help me they claim 24/7 help I be been trying for 7 days get automated response. They say you can get help with a trusted referee but there is nothing to contact them. I am locked out of my account with GDOL until I can verify with these people who obviously is having problems with their whole program. This is the first customer service experience I ever had

Disappointing
December 1, 2020

I am very disappointed with the customer service. I have been having issues for 2 weeks getting ahold of an agent to approve my information and in those two weeks, I have received one email back regardless of my daily efforts to receive updates and get the credentials I need to assist veterans with home loans! I asked since I have been waiting 2-3 hour increments, unsuccessfully, if I could schedule a facetime (the facetime with an agent is required by them) and that request has gone completely unacknowledged. I don't even believe my requests to support have actually been read! I think I am getting blanket statements that don't really match the requests I have made. I just want to get the credentials to do my job and I am at a loss.

This is the worst most ridiculous service I have ever used i have spent atleast 14 hours over 3 days trying to verify my identity for pua unemployment. I have a license and a state id a health insurance card I know my credit history info I have my social but apparently thats not good enough, I have sent them atleast 60 different pictures of my id's and they keep telling me they can't verify one of the pictures. I have yet to get someone on the phone and that's because you can't its nonsense they just get you stuck in this loop of submitting the form then they have whatever made up problems on their end and tell you to re submit and you just get stuck in this cycle of filling out their questions and taking pictures of your ids over and over and there customer service is non existence you can't actually talk to a real person not even through email, you tell them your having a problem and they email you back saying sorry for the long wait. Nothing about what your actual problem with their software or program they use or whatever it is they just say re submit then email about your problems sorry for the wait re submit this thing is literally driving me crazy if I could give it negative stars I would and this whole site should be shut down its an embarrassment. Even Comcast has better customer service then this. Think about if your cable went out and you email to say it's not working (since calling is way to convenient so it doesn't exist) then they tell you to plug it in and you tell them it is plugged in but they tell you to email about problems so you email and say my cables not working but its plugged in... so they email back and say sorry for the wait then they tell you to plug your cable in... and your like what are you even talking about we've already been through this. I litterally feel like someone is on the other end just dying laughing like there just playing with me

Terrible ridiculous

Don't ever use this website been trying to verify for 2 weeks straight i gave them every document to verify and they still are trying to require more information i emailed them 10 times. This is holding me back from providing for my family worst website I ever been on in my entire life

Tried signing into my Social Security account and could not access it until I verified my identity. Uploaded two forms of ID, Federal government and State drivers license. Also took selfies after submitting each ID. Was asked by their website if I could conduct a video call with one of their "trusted referees" to verify my identity. Waited most of the afternoon and it was crickets. Submitted an inquiry through their website to determine when or if my session would start. Received a ticket number and a statement that I would be contacted soon. Nope.

As a veteran, I lost personally identifiable information in 2015 to Chinese hackers due to incompetence by our federal government. Now we appear to be outsourcing our Cybersecurity efforts to the lowest priced, "technically acceptable" private sector bidder. Wonderful. I'm now concerned that the information I provided will end up on the dark web.

Horrible company
November 12, 2020

Horrible company, horrible process, so completely frustrating!
I've been waiting for the "trusted referee" to complete the final step of the process,
Which is the zoom video, for days! The company sends me an email that says "we're ready,
Please login for the video", but then you'll just wait and wait and wait... its been 2 days of waiting (see screenshot below of wait screen).
Meanwhile, I cannot open a claim with Calif EDD for pandemic assistance, and the
Deadline to do this is 3 days from now. There is absolutely no customer service available,
No phone number, just canned email responses and no communication. Really bad.
I'm going to report this company to the BBB, FTC and my local attorney general. They
Are doing a DISSERVICE and they do not deserve anyone's business until they improve.
My question: how can we trust these guys to do a good job verifying our identities when their process is so flawed?

The California EDD now uses id.me to file for unemployment. The problem is, ID.ME NEVER SENDS THE TEXT AT THE END OF THE LENGTHY APPLICATION? I have tried 20+ times and have wasted hours trying. I have sent a few messages to their support department and heard nothing. This is unacceptable! :(

California ID ME for EDD

I have not been able to get through the process. Once your at phone call verification it states more than 30 min wait and hours still waiting. It's a terrible 3rd party program that road blocks the what was easy EDD process. I like the old EDD process even if I had to wait 2 weeks for approval - at least it worked

Security by TOTAL IDIOTS

These people are real IDIOTS who pose as an enhanced security function to the Social Security Administration. Although the SSA contact I questioned as to whether ID.ME was a scam or not assured me that they weren't a scam, she did recognize that SSA has had TONS of calls of complaints against these fools. I personally spent 2 DAYS trying to get through their ridiculous, convoluted, confusing plethora of screens, uploads of information, demands for identification, rejections, referrals to "referees" (who aren't available, but will get back to you in 15 HOURS). I have given up trying to complete their registration process. The SSA contact says ID.ME is >>NOT<< needed to access the SSA's web-site: just use your existing sign-on process. YOU DO NOT NEED THESE IDIOTS. Don't use them!
