Never respond to emails. I waited 8 hours to get to a video call with someone and she asks me to send email to support. I did the last few weeks, no response no response no response! Only automatic emails no live person to resolve issues! I've been hold up here too long unable to complete my UI application. Someone please do something about this company! CA's Employment Development Department hired ID.me to verify unemployed people like me after they (CA EDD,) got hacked back in 12/2020. As instructed I went there to verify, and their website was not working halfway through the process. I told them about this in Jan. And since have received nothing but emails from "Customer Support" saying they are overwhelmed with emails and will get back to me. This has gone on for FOUR months, which means I have had NO INCOME FOR FOUR MONTHS due to them! A living hell! Thinking that maybe they cleaned up their act, I went to their website, and now, you cannot even find a button to verify using documents or for a video verification! Instead, you are overwhelmed with article after article! Getting desperate, I finally sent three verification documents to the CA EDD by registered, certified mail THREE TIMES. Nothing! This company deserves to be put out of business and go straight to hell... which is where those they were supposed to verify will be waiting for them to mete out the justice they so richly deserve!

Their technology is absurd and fails repeatedly. They do not have the staff or support to handle the contracts that they have conned from the government. Their process is wrought with technological flaws and no human contact is possible. If you reach out to them it will literally take weeks to get a response - and if you're one of the people waiting for unemployment benefits and cannot get them because of this ridiculous organization, then you may just have to get a lawyer. I would be surprised if we don't see class action suits filed. This is a sad reflection on the companies that use their services (including the State of Colorado) and they need to be replaced and be held accountable for the damages they are inflicting.

I was fired for not having access. 90 days ID ME couldn't fix this. Now I'm fired and filing for unemployment benefits they HAVE my employer email address I tried to get for 90 days... So now I cant apply for unemployment since I don't have access to the ex employer who fired me for not having access in the first place. Terrible expeirence especially now I need them to. Trying to get verified with ID.ME for Georgia Labor Dept. Despite providing the documentation as required (passport and DL), I was forwarded to the service. Their forecast time to get an "agent" for a video conference was 4 hours and 44 minutes at 8 PM. When the clock reached 12 minutes to wait, it got stuck and did not change for nearly one hour. So I went to ID.ME site to ask for help and filled out a request for help. This at 2 AM! Minutes later, I received an e-mail saying to click on the button to be verified. Poor me, Instead of being verified, the clock went backwards and showed the wait time to be 2 hours and 50minutes. So that will put me close to 5 AM to get someone to "verify" me.
This looks like a scam agreed with the Georgia Labor department officials to supress the rampant unemployment caused by COVID in a State where the governor was completely irresponsible.
On the other hand, I wonder if there could be a class suit against this company for not providing the necessary service for possibly thousands of people waiting to be "verified".

Wait of 5+ hours. When the session finally starts, no one actually speaks with you. They just reject your documents with no conversation about it — even when they are clearly in the wrong. Their interface is buggy to begin with. E.g. The taking of selfies.

In my opinion, Id.me is actually functioning as a go between to prevent people from succeeding in verifying their identities so certain organizations who use them can "ethically " deny benefits. The mistakes in their processes, circular links, asking questions until you fail, requiring users to own a cell phone, dropped calls, and long waits all point to stonewalling. I talked to a government call center representative who said 80% of people fail to make it through the Id.me verification process. It is quite ingenious if you stand back and watch what is really happening. Of course they could prove me wrong by functioning correctly and helping you to succeed 80%+. Then there's the question what happens to all your information they now have after they have verified you?

My unemployment checks are being held up for over a month because of IDme. I was verified 2/25/2021 yet when I try to log on I'm directed to contact customer support. To be 100 % honest, i will never use this site if i have a choice. But from me reading everyone's response ill admit i was nervous and really believing it was a scam, im unemployed in florida from the pandemic and the unemployment department locked my account until i was verified, first thing i would suggest is to login early from a laptop or cellphone, when it shows the estimated waiting time disappeared refresh the page and it will give you the correct time, it literally took me 5 hours to get ahold a trustee referee i believe her name was linda and it took 5 mins tops to be verified. I pray everyone will get through this as easily as i did because i was extremely shocked it worked. -
I have NEVER been forcefully subjected to such crappy service in my entire life! If it wasn't for my crap state forcing me to comply to tyrannical unemployment mandates, I would Never stoop to such depths of depravity as using this "service" entells! I'd.me you SUCK!

Why can't this be streamlined. I am having to verify for EDD a second time. That doesn't make any sense. They need data companies to take this over or have a better system in place. These are peoples lives, survival at a very basic level. A system that requires you to wait over 16 hours is ARCHAIC! Have some respect for those of us that are absolutely helpless given the over a year long pandemic and its inhumane approach. We need better local leaders that are helping not making it harder to survive. IDme either needs to hire more staff or hand over to a company that can handle the volume on a LOCAL level. Looks like IDme - money is more important here and they are not expanding to meet the phenomenal need. Shame on those that put profit before people during a human crisis.
