HORRIBLE

This site is where you need to verify your identity for unemployment... it is a major disaster! You upload everything that is required but the DOL says you are not verified! It has been 2 months... not a penny from unemployment that I paid into for 22 YEARS! The owners of this site made 1 BILLION dollars since launching it! I am computer literate... It simply is flawed... Nothing should be this hard!

I was fully vetted with ID confirmation and a background check by a different company in Sept 2020 without an issue. NJ chose these jerks to confirm ID now. They never contacted me. Their site is inadequate and does not provide any support human or otherwise. No phone # and no one returns any site processed request for someone to contact you. If they reject certifying your ID, then you are on your own without reason why or recourse. I contacted my congressman and senator. Next will be NJ Consumers Affair and BBB. I recommend all others do the same as this is unacceptable.

The support system do this company is a joke I've been dealing with them for over seven months now it is July 2021 and they still not have accomplished this simple task that I asked of them they've always sent me back thanks for contacting customer support they've never got anything done and this is affecting multiple things in my life just because they need to have this verification for me but yet the support system doesn't take me very seriously I've left my number several times and they still have not contacted me

Required by the IRS to opt out of the child tax credit thing. It asked for DL and Passport, took clear easily legible 4k photos and it said it couldn't identify them. Had to video chat with someone and show them the same documents and they gave me the run around. Such a waste of time; has to be one of the worst verification companies on the planet. I can't believe this is who the IRS went with for signing in.

It will not accept perfectly good photos of my Colorado Driver's license. You can zoom in and see each and every detail on the photos. To go around this requirement you can do a video interview with a pile of acceptable documents. What crappy way to verify identity. If you are who are who you say you are. The Identification process should be quick and easy and 100% accurate. I'm trying to do this for the IRS so that I can refuse to accept my stupid Child Credit Payment which I don't want or need. Want to talk about citizen suppression here it is.

I've been trying to get verified since Arpil 30! It's now June 15th. I'm homeless and I need this to go thru. They have emailed me to say someone will contact me shortly but still no one has. When I try to email them again I just get another ticket number, apology, and a statement that they'll get back to me in a timely manner. No customer service number no viable help or answers please someone turn this place in. I understand high call volumes but hire more people. Awful. Wouldnt recommend this place to any company at least not if you value your customers!

My mother had a stroke from covid, i had a good job and had to move a long way to help her and my dad. I had to apply for unemployment, which I am not proud of, but there were no jobs near in relation to my profession. I had to use id.me and it was a joke. I had my maiden name on passport and old address bc of my move on license. So I proceeded to use the other is option. Social security card, drivers license and pay stub, it still did not accept. I don't know if this company realizes that people move due to emergency's and people also get married. I called twc for help and they could only refer me back to if.me which had no phone number "due to security reasons?"!?... I have put in more than 3 request for help with customer support. No one calls or emails. They have a "video verification" but it only happens if they accept your documents. It looks like this company does other business, I would NOT recommend them. It is poorly put together when it comes to customer support.

Is hurting me

I d me I want everybody to know that reads this review I can understand why they are rated at 1 if it was a zero I will rate them a zero I submitted my ID me information on March 22nd only for them to tell me they did not receive it I redid it April 11th here it is June 8th I cannot get no one to return a phone call there is no valid number that you can talk to someone because of this i d me I have had great hardship because of ID me they say it takes 3 to 5 business days it has taken me 3 months and I still have no results. And what's so bad about it is when you call the one *******661 number the people are so rude they hang up on you I've had a couple of people tell me I don't know what to tell you how sad when your life is in someone else's hands and they don't think enough of you to even return a phone call we are in trouble with ID me. It makes you wonder why would twc use a company. Out of 395 reviews has a score of a. One. That shows incompetency it makes you really wonder why does. This company even exist.

It took well over a full MONTH after I sent in a request for help to get a response, most people live paycheck to paycheck waiting this long for a response to a QUESTION to be answered before you can even try to get your stuff submitted is ridiculous. Also when I tried to verify my documents they got denied saying "this isn't a utility bill" yes, yes it was. It was my last bill before I moved from pge, then the second time it got rejected because "you cant use a social twice" I didn't have two socials, I checked several times after the FIRST time things were rejected and it was NEVER two socials, I'm convinced that whoever was working didn't even look at my documents they just rejected them because lazy. Extremely upset with this company I hope it goes under.

The country shut down in 2020 & that meant gig workers like me, a musician who now has had no concerts to perform for over the past 14 months. I tried to make savings last w/o using unemployment but finally ran out in January while waiting for the stimulus.
Since CA. Had so much crime during the 1st year of unemployment they have now hired ID.me to verify the ID of people applying for unemployment.
I believe I began in January and they still have not verified me despite my having the assistance of the state assembly person from my district.
Every now and then I'll get an email telling me how sorry they are and to please reach out to them. This can only be a bot emailing me because I was on the internet twice the very second a message came through & within 3 seconds I had sent back a reply, "I'm here, I'm here" no reply.
To think that any life let alone all the lives of this country are in the hands of such an incompetent company doesn't surprise me. Our government over-spends on everything but its people.
So here I sit & wait w/o income or money and almost 5 months after I first started to get verified. Hell I'm all over the internet so I can't imagine why I can't get verified just so I can get the money I paid in this emergency fund but hey, that's the government for ya.

While people are in desperate need of unemployment benefits, the systems put in place are failing drastically. ID.me is a joke. I have said it before. I will keep saying it. They took on way too much and they can't handle the volume. They should hire another 1000 employees or share the work with qualified companies who can handle this. Their website will ever connect you to a referee agent. You can spend all day on there. 24 straight hours and somehow your 3 hour wait time will still be 5 hours remaining at the end of that 24 hours. If I could give their company less than 1 star, then I would.

Don't bother

** if you happen to see these reviews before actually using id.me, please: don't do it. It's not worth the time, effort, and putting very personal info at risk. **

As far as i'm aware you're not going to get a real person on the line. I know a lot of people are coming to id.me through unemployment assistance organizations right now and i can tell you you're not going to get help from anyone at id.me.
If your unemployment assistance agency has the option to file a new claim through phone, you might as well just keep repeatedly calling that agency's number until you're actually able to get someone on the line. I understand how painful this process is, it took me over a month to get to this point.
Looking at id.me's official twitter, it looks like they'll give you a response if you reply to and/or DM them. I can't say this is any form of a support line however, and i don't know what results people get afterwards. I'm just stating what i'm seeing here

My personal experience with id.me is the same as everyone else here.
They ask for personal information for verification, i hand it over, and they somehow have problems verifying it and ask you to wait to speak to a live agent. I thought the verification issues was just me doing something wrong or maybe i just had to try again, but it tells me each time to speak to a real agent. I have also waited hours to days, and no one has come to help.

Honestly i feel really embarrassed for trusting id.me so blindly, just because it's approved and used by the EDD here. They take very personal information, and then can't verify you... and then what? Do they just keep it? I'd really like to know what they do with these photos and information, because i regret ever using it. If there's a way to opt out and delete your account with id.me, please let me know.
