You can't use the ink you already pay for if you don't have an ink subscription
So the ink you have already purchased you can't use
Buyer beware! DO NOT BUY HP PRODUCTS THAT REQUIRE WIFI TO PRINT THEY WILL HOLD YOUR PRINTER HOSTAGE!
I have been unable to use my printer for months now!
I have tried calling
I have tried your stupid chat that is nothing more than a stupid ignorant comp program that is useless!
I canceled my ink subscription because of this and since then my printer will not connect and print.
My printer is being held hostage because it won't print without a subscription!
READ THE HIGHLIGHTED WORDS FROM HP…
I went in and tried to resubscribe… It allowed me to change my payment option. WILL NOT LET ME CHANGE OR LOWER MY PLAN!
IT WILL NOT CONNECT TO PRINT!
TRIED USING THE SCAN DOCTOR.
IT REQUIRES A PASSWORD I DON'T HAVE!
HP Instant Ink is a scam.
What they don't make clear, is that if you cancel your Instant Ink subscription, your printer will stop accepting the cartridge. Even if it's a full cartridge. What an absolute scam.
Just do some research and you'll see tons of very angry customers. I will NEVER buy another HP product as long as I live.
HP would not allow you to use many of their equipment functions/purpose without obtaining an "account" with them first. This is utter blackmail.
I own 2 companies. 1w/2 printers the other 6. Most expensive no choice ink. 8 trashed! 8 New Epsons. Bravo HP.
I'm a sensible person, and with that, the "support" & service offered by HP to its customers, at least from what I've experienced, has been egregious. I purchased the HP Envy 17 (order #: H*******) w/ the bells and whistles in mid 2023 as a work laptop. Not even 7 months in, I'm having issues with wifi connectivity, which upon researching, seems to be a common issue with HP laptops. This has essentially rendered the laptop useless for me. I called in for the 2nd time today anticipating to get this resolved. All that came of this was a loss of 6 hours of my time, which equates to significantly more than I spent on your laptop. I spoke w/ the first rep that had me run a useless, ineffective diagnostic. Then I was transferred to another dept. where I was told I'd have to spend $51 for you all to help me resolve an issue w/ the faulty product you sold me. Paid the $51 and was promised by the rep that my issue would be fixed. 4 hours later and it was not. Was told that it was not a software issue but an issue with the antennae in the laptop that you all sold me. Was transferred to another dept. and was told that I would need to do yet additional diagnostics. Was basically told that I was SOL since I couldn't download an app on the laptop w/ no wifi and that I would have to pay another $35 to have you all ship me a flash drive with the app on it in order to move forward. Do you truly believe this is acceptable service and equitable treatment to your customers? Shame on the leadership at HP. This is not on your reps, they don't know any better. My warranty is valid until May of 2024, yet I'm having to jump hoops to get this resolved. I've lost multiple hours due to confiding in a product that I thought would help increase my efficiency and productivity.
HPs mission statement "We are a technology company born of the belief that companies should do more than just make a profit" is a crock of BS. Just converted from MAC to Windows and called in to have a very simple question answered that I wasn't able to find online. After waiting for 15 minutes the rep tells me that they'll need to charge me a fee to answer a simple question on the admin desktop. At least Apple stands by their product. Never got charged a fee when I needed a question answered or assistance from them.
HP Customer Support--don't reply with some phony, disingenuous statement that only serves as optics for your brand. That's not what those of us who handed our money over you are wanting. Do better.
I recently bought THREE HP Envy printers for my various work spaces. Enrolled on HP Instant Ink as it sounded harmless enough and a convenient way to get ink delivered. After a while I realised I was getting charged even when I wasn't using a certain printer as although it claims to charge 'per sheet' if you don't print the agreed number of sheets it charges you anyway. I also did not get the ink deliveries in the right places at the right times. Anyway I unsubscribed and switched to alternative cartridges. Now HP have remotely disabled my printer and although I can still print (not from the HP Instant Ink cartridges as they have been blocked) the maintenance functions of my printer no longer work, so no auto-cleaning or alignment. So even though I bought these printers it appears they were never really mine as HP reserved the right to remotely sabotage them if I cancelled my Instant Ink subscription. I currently have 2 HP laptops and 3 printers. THESE ARE THE LAST HP PRODUCTS I WILL EVER BUY.
Hp has taken my privilege to print on my printer because I won't buy ink from them. I have had problems with customer service since the beginning, I SO REGRET BUY THIS HP PRINTER.
Bought an OfficeJet printer end of 2019 that never worked well. Months later and after many attempts to Support I asked the printer to be replaced. It was replaced days later with the warning: keep your accessories, cables, cartridges etc. Received a new printer and that is when my real problems began. Within this period I signed for Instant Ink, a monthly program that allows you to print a number of copies for a fair price. As my first printer didn't work at all, I cancelled the program, why pay a monthly fee for no printer? The new printer came without cartridges. I opened the box and right away installed the cartridges that I had from the previous printers and... The printer displays a message: "cartridges can only be used in printer that initially installed it". These cartridges had 5 copies total. Contact the Support again (this was the 12th time in 2 weeks) and explained what was happening. The attendant told me I needed to print an information page from the printer that showed the registration number. But I could't print anything because it was blocked even for resigning to the Instant Ink program. I should buy new cartridges (16 euros for the black and 29 euros for the color) just to print this page and retrieve the registration number. What has become this printing business? Isn't enough pay absurd prices for cartridges and be able to print like 30 copies for cartridge? What happened to Customer Service? What is this Virtual Chat other than a waste of time? Do you folks at HP realize how pathetic is all this? I tell you this, this Instant Ink is pretty fair, if it would work. I am an old customer from HP since my calculator HP48 at the 80's but I will never again buy anything from you and I hope who is reading this take my words seriously and avoid problems. Printing should be an amazing thing but you turned it into hell.
I purchased a HP laptop on May 18th, it won't ship until ~ June 17th which is fine, however today the price dropped $186 with their Memorial Day sale. So I contacted Customer Service several times, via Chat, and phone and spent over 3 hours doing this but to no avail. Here is the policy:
When does the Price Protection Policy not apply?
This Price Protection Policy is limited to one price adjustment per item, per guest and does not apply to: Non-HP branded products, Business series products (including Zbook, Elite, Pro, Workstations, Thin Clients and servers), Other stores / retailers, and Special promotions including financing offers, bundle offers, free items, pricing errors, mail-in offers, coupon offers, items that are advertised as limited-time-only (doorbusters) or limited quantity, out of stock items, clearance items, credit card offers, gift card offers, "Final Sale" items, and items for sale from the week of Thanksgiving through the week following Thanksgiving and during our Presidents Day, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Green Monday and Red Tag Sales.
The way I read it, if I bought a laptop now during the Memorial Day sale the Price Protection does not apply but I bought it on May 18 and should be able to receive my price protection now during the Memorial Day sale the way the policy is written.
Very unhappy with HP, I have asked to elevate this issue and have to wait 2 days for a reply call. This is not what Customer Service should be. If I could rate HP ZERO I would.
Payment is made on 14 Nov 2022 but still delivery is not made, and there is no clue about delivery. Same is when inquired thay are unable to answer.
Purchased a new all-in-one desktop. The one page documentation that came with the computer is useless. Had I not worked in IT for 40 years and had I not built computers in the past, I would not have known how to set up this computer using those instructions. I signed into HP and navigated to the location for user guides and manuals, then downloaded the document for the model of computer I have. Even then, this user guide does not tell all the steps to perform (how to mount the computer on the stand for example). Using the chat feature to reach out to HP and it wasn't working. I did this on two different days - is chat even an option? I crafted a form from their website to send to support and spent close to ten minutes doing so. When I submitted it, a display popped up that said to use chat and that my e-form to them was not sent. Looking at their Facebook page and there is no option to reach out to HP. So, how does one contact them? Evidently one doesn't. The support should get a negative number if at all possible.
As to performance, a one rating is as high as I feel comfortable giving. A brand new computer and it's slow as molasses. To reboot the computer, it takes more than five minutes. Compare that to the PC I built and is three years old and rebooting that computer takes a minute or less. That's possibly because HP loads their computers with things in the BIOS that cannot be deleted. Does this slow the computer down? Maybe! As to general performance in computing - it again is slow compared to the PC I built. Running office applications or other programs from Microsoft (File Explorer for example) is like molasses. FOR A NEW COMPUTER! I should have just built another computer, but being nearly 70 years old - I didn't want to deal with it. I SHOULD HAVE!
Overall, this computer gets a solid 1 for rating due to support and performance. Maybe a Dell computer would have been a better choice.
The laptops are good functioning but the quality is not lasting for long time, they should work on it so that the laptops are worth the cost
I PURCHASED A HP 15-f272wm 500 GB. By the time I realized that the problem I was having was not related to my internet access or WiFi it was too late to return it to Wal-mart and when I called HP they should have sent me a new computer because I was within terms and condition but they kept on the phone for more thatn 5 hours UNREAL! But insisted that I give them the benefit of the doubt well here it two years later and the this piece of crap was the worst ever it never stood a chance there is a manufacturing problem and they never admitted to it I told them I want a new one and it fell of deaf ears and their techs are just stupid the customer service sucks and I'm out 500.00 dollars. It has left me angry I hate turning on the computer bec within minutes I left watching it buffering or the screen disappears or it acts up to the point where I just turn it off. It sit I cant use and refuse to call HP support they do not care. I hate the computer the and HP company bad taste mouth will never ever but another. Take the bank greedy freaks!
When I have problem and enter the community, the support reply the answer fast. And most of the problems are solved easily.
They won't let you get any support. They send you to one place to another then they still won't give any help
They take your money but you get lost service on repairs and maintenance of expensive machines. I'd avoid buying anything from them! Zero stars
I had the worst tech support experience with HP team, they didn't help in my issue and all their concerns to sell me extended warranty.
I with utmost shock and bewilderment wish to bring to your notice the apathetic and most callous attitude of your call centre personnel whom I am chasing unfailingly for last more than 12 days but being of no avail.
I am calling the call center on a daily basis but only promises hs been done yet. No technician hs called or visited me.
It's extremely astounding and unbelievable to meet with such negligent,
Substandard and couldn't care less attitude of the staffers of an international co of your stature and repute. High time you take care of things & attitude at your home otherwise it doesn't take v long for the cookie to crumble, in the times of internet & technology the word spreads v fast, especially the bad one, I shall be constrained to reach & approach such forums on the social media to highlight the harassment and frustration
I am made to go through.
Last but not the least to highlight again your negligent attitude I bring to your notice also the plain simple fact & thing that you haven't even updated the change in address of your service centre, while v recently visited the mentioned address we were told that it had shifted out to another location many months ago
In today's pandemic situation everybody is working from home/taking online classes. I had such faith in HP that all the three laptops for three members of the house are HP Pavillion x360. And now by this pathetic attitude I don't know what to say about it.
After long chase and follow up they sent me a quotation demanding rs 5505/- for a part without even physically inspecting my device. On refusing to pay without the physical checkup they started making other excuses. Then they said that they have ordered the part.
I work is suffering so much and my job is at the stake. And after following up on various public platforms I waiting believing their promises. But today they have come up with a unique new excuse that my laptop is out of life support. I don't even know what it means. Whatever it means y didn't they tell me on the very first day instead of making new excuses and demanding absurd amount every day?
Hope at least now u will take some responsibility and pay some attention
Answer: Impossible by phone since at least December 2023. ( May be before)
Answer: I'm old and remember the HP of 20 years ago. Boy has time changed this company.
Answer: Lenovo is similar to HP, though the performance of Lenovo's computers is complete crap, the upside to it is that they at least have good service.
