The company's reputation is mixed, with notable strengths in product quality and delivery efficiency, as many customers express satisfaction with their purchases and the overall aesthetic appeal of items. However, significant concerns arise regarding customer service, particularly in handling issues related to delivery options, billing disputes, and product defects. Customers frequently report difficulties in reaching support and receiving timely resolutions, leading to frustration. While some patrons appreciate the extensive product selection and smooth purchasing experience, the inconsistency in service responsiveness and problem resolution highlights areas for improvement in their customer service approach.

The sales reps come across as quite pushy, and the membership pricing seems inconsistent—different designers are paying different rates for the same thing. Even with a membership that costs over $1K/month, I've noticed that each year at renewal, certain features I previously had access to are suddenly missing or moved into a higher pricing tier. It's frustrating and feels intentionally unclear. They use the illegal tactic of "bait & switch" to lure you and then slowly change. I just thought about houzz as being always deceitful. We are now looking into different tool.
I ordered a dresser from Houzz and paid extra for the 'room of choice.' The dresser arrived at CEVA in Atlanta, GA four days ago and now they are telling me they can only drop it off in my driverway per Sabrina. I called Houzz and spoke with Steve who states they can refund me $99.99 for 'room of choice' and I can find a local move to move it upstairs or they will return it back to Houzz in California and charge ALL the freight charges there and back because 'that's their policy.' I told Steve of Houzz that if I accept those terms and the dresser has been damaged during shipment, then the responsibility would be on me and that was not the original agreement; Steve had nothing else to say. I requested a Manager to call me back as soon as possible and Steve stated 'I can request it but I can't promise anyone will call you.' I am so upset right now and I'm supposed to be giving my attention to my job and not doing the job of Houzz! Horrible experience!
They set me up on a free trial. My sales rep, *, intentionally misled me by explaining all costs in terms of monthly cost. Then at the very end, sends a contract that has me paying for the entire year up front. I had multiple conversations with them about how the service was not working out for me during the trial period and how I was going to be using a competitor instead. Rather than cancelling my account, they send me a link to cancel it myself. I fill out the form and forget about it. Months later when doing annual reconciliation of my business, I see I was charged $5,750! They said they have no record of a cancellation form from me. I have not touched this app or utilized any service since the trial period. When I attempted to work with customer service to get my money back for a service I do not use, they flat out denied me. Shame on me for being in a hurry and not paying attention to that contract I signed. But for the company to show zero flexibility and common sense is unacceptable. Charging someone nearly six thousand dollars for a service they do not use is absolutely insane. Collecting my money on a technicality and not by actually conducting mutual business of money in exchange for services. They displayed to me that they are not a trustworthy company and do not have the ability to look at a situation fairly for their customers, I will absolutely never recommend this company, and in fact will be very actively steering my friends away from this service in the construction company. DO NOT USE THEM. Their competitors are much better, look up other options for construction software.

They don't answer the phone(a lot of their numbers are now disconnected) and when eventually they did answer a rude woman, Elena Spitz, told me that I have to keep paying because I agreed to that 5 years AGO! 3 months ago Houzz raised their monthly fee 100% and even that I said repeatedly I do NOT want the service anymore and sent an email canceling, they keep charging my credit card instead of taking my name off their website...I changed my credit card number and they KEPT charging $324.00 monthly! I'm disputing thru my credit card but this company needs a CLASS law suit! I had my business for many years yet never had this situation with any merchant nor service provider, at this point Houzz is literally stealing my money!

Our money was wasted. They ran our card about 7 times then ran our card for the trial multiple times after not the whole purchase to save money. The woman who was supposed to walk us through our purchase wasn't a reliable source. She told us all the wrong things about what equipment to get which cost us thousands including a high paying job. You can never get through to anyone. And if u do they'll say well give u a call back and never follow up. They will not let u talk to a manager or a higher up. They canceled our subscription and didn't put the full. Payment through which would cause us again to have to pay extra. They never emailed us. No waring and we lost another job over it. We tried for months but things kept getting worse. Terrible company. Very unreliable. Very dissatisfied. This website made us lose hundreds of thousands of dollars. Please find someone where else. This website would be amazing if they had better workers who were educated on there job so you know what ur walking into and a way to reach a higher up for serious matters instead of being ignored. So much potential in this website but I don't have time to stick around after what happened to see if they make major changes

Attention all contractors: Do Not Use Houzz. An absolutely atrocious platform. Their customer support is virtually nonexistent. Took almost 2 months to get a reply to my email about a simple customer support issue. Before signing up for Houzz Pro, I was informed we could increase or decrease our monthly spend as we please. After signing up and not getting the results we were hoping for, I asked to decrease our monthly spend by decreasing the number of regions where our profile is being promoted. Now they're telling me that's impossible and the best they can do is allow me to pay off the whole year in one lump sum payment of $13,000. I would not recommend Houzz Pro to anyone. There are much better things to spend your money on if you need leads. Houzz Pro has no intention of helping small businesses grow, and are a predatory company complicit in conning us, among many other companies, out of thousands of dollars.

I've been using houzz pro for a couple hears now. Price went from $99 to $249 without notice. I called and no help and no response from *. Reached out again today and the person I talked to couldn't help and said I can expect an email follow up. I'll find another application. Customer service is rarely helpful and I'd recommend looking elsewhere.

I was told there is a 30 day free trial when using the proservice, I signed up for the service then canceled 2 1/2 days later, due to their online floor planner being difficult to use, but HOUZZ is still billing me monthly. I have reached out to customer service, but have been told that I signed a contract and the 30 day trial does not exist, even though the trial offer is listed under prices on the website even today. This place is disgusting, they have no interest in keeping their word, and dealing with customers with Integrity! DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE!

I am leaving this review because I would like to help ALL potential businesses from wasting their money and their time into Houzz Pro. I am a business owner of (3) different businesses: real estate investment company, remodeling and moving company. I signed up with Houzz Pro about 6 months ago for my remodeling company to have a better and more efficient estimates and bid system for my company. I will say that part only Houzz has a decent system in place. I found out while talking to them, they also did marketing for business as well. It sounded very good on the phone with the package they had to offer, and I decided to go with it, along with their software program for contractors. So, I spent some time setting up my profile and loading pictures of projects with some small descriptions on it, so protentional clients could see the work we do. I attached our website to these pages as well, which is very well layout website with tons of pictures of projects we have done as well. Now comes the problems with Houzz. With talking with other contractors and talking to people at network meetings about the new program/subscription (Almost $5,000 for the year) I had with Houzz and how I was not happy with any of the customers that came through, to where they were NEVER responding to emails, calls or messages through Houzz or any other ways either. From all the people I talked to about this, that used Houzz had similar and other issues as well, on way they were not happy with at all with Houzz. When finally doing a deep dive into Houzz throughout the internet, I started finding a ton of negative feedback with all the same issues. Houzz has a 1.03-star average on BBB with 500+ complaints in the last 3 years alone. They have a 2.5-star average on site jabber. There Reddit complaints are through the roof. The list goes on and on with reason why not to sign the contract with this company and the reviews and complaints on the internet are very accurate. I hope if other people/business read this, they do their research before giving any money or signing anything with this company.

I had a terrible experience with predatory sales practices. I specifically requested a trial period, but the salesperson, *, signed me up for a 12-month non-cancellable program without clearly informing me of the terms. This was a clear misrepresentation on *'s part. After escalating the issue to management, both * and the manager, Claire, became unresponsive, and I received only an automated message about the non-cancellable contract. Beware of this company and the tactics they use. The leads they provide are neither legitimate nor qualified, making the entire program a complete waste of money. Despite repeatedly stating that I don't want a refund and only wish to cancel, I was told that the yearly commitment is non-cancellable, and I must continue paying for this useless service.

Purchased a vanity from this outfit. The vanity was delivered on Aug 22,2024 and installed a few days later in the basement bathroom. I don't use that bathroom very often so have not had a chance to use it since maybe two weeks after it was installed. A couple of days ago (around the 20th of October), mind you less than two month after delivery, I was in that bathroom and noticed that the vanity was falling apart on the bottom right and left sides. I contacted the store only to be informed that they will not do anything other than send me a repair kit with wood filler and paint. I told them that that wasn't acceptable and that I wanted them to either pay for repairs by a professional or exchange the $1,000 vanity for a new one. Just wanted all potential customers to know what kind of business they are dealing with.

I had an incredibly disappointing experience with this company. I was charged for a full year of their Pro services despite never using the platform. Immediately after being charged, I reached out to explain the situation and request a refund, only to be denied with no reasonable explanation. Their website makes it almost impossible to unsubscribe, which feels intentionally designed to trap users into paying for something they didn't want.
This company seems more interested in profiting off of unsuspecting customers than providing actual value. I find their business practices to be deceptive and unfair. I will never use this service again and strongly advise others to avoid it. Terrible customer service, terrible policies, and a complete lack of accountability.
I signed up for a free trial with Houzz on July 10th, expecting it to end on August 8th, as stated in the welcome email. However, Houzz charged me before the trial ended, despite their promise not to do so. I cancelled my trial on the 8th, which should have been within the free period, but they still charged me and are now refusing to refund my money.
I reached out to their support team and spoke with Anthony, who claimed the email implied the trial would end "before" the 8th, even though the email clearly stated the 8th as the deadline. Despite cancelling within this timeframe, they went ahead and charged me. Additionally, the business continued to charge me the following month, indicating an issue with their billing system.
Houzz initially acknowledged my cancellation on August 8th but now falsely claims I cancelled on the 12th. I only reached out on the 12th to confirm if they had processed my cancellation after receiving a suspicious email. Despite their system error, they refuse to issue a refund. Their refusal to confirm my cancellation in a timely manner and the lack of customer support was highly frustrating.
In one instance, I had a deeply upsetting phone call with Anthony, during which he yelled at me. His unprofessional and aggressive behavior left me shaken, and I am now unwilling to engage with Houzz without a mediator.
Despite multiple requests for a refund, Houzz continues to ignore the issue, providing inconsistent explanations, and in their latest communication, no reason at all for denying the refund. Moreover, they attempted to charge my account again after the cancellation, demonstrating that their billing system has problems.
My request remains simple: Houzz should acknowledge their billing mistakes and provide a refund. I am not interested in apologies but in a resolution to the financial issue caused by their faulty system.
Do not use this website. They offered me a free trial so I thought I would give it a try to figure out a configuration for my bedroom. There was nothing that stated how much a membership would be if not cancelled before the free trial was up. Well turns out they charged me $300 the day before my trial was up and now they won't refund my money! Terrible customer service! Don't use! I am sure there are much better options out there, who aren't crooked and only out to get your money!

The piece I bought is pretty nice! It looks good and feels solid, so no complaints there. Delivery was smooth, and they packed it up really well. Overall, I'm satisfied with it, but not totally blown away.
I called and spoke with a representative on June 13th who confirmed that I should not have been charged for adding a team member to my subscription because there were no additions or changes made to my profile. However, when my ticket was elevated to the next level to have my subscription cancelled, due to the repeated issues had with billing, I was told that I would not be refunded and a team member was added on May 24th, which is the same date I contacted customer service due to a third charge of $99 AFTER I had been told the day before that my account was up to date. Even though I explained that I, 1- did not enter the site until on May 24th because I was traveling for the holiday, and 2- do not have any team members. My ticket was closed without a response, and I have yet to be refunded for the $60 over charge received.

If I can give them 0 stars I will. This company is a SCAM! DO NOT ORDER anything unless you want to pay for something that it would never be delivered to you. For the last 4 months l have been waiting to receive my refund of $1,825 for a furniture that I ordered but was NEVER delivered to me. After numerous emails and phone calls to them no Houzz' representative ever provided me with an answer as to why I am paying for something that was never delivered to me and why I do not receive a refund. I am shocked that this company even exist and is still in business however, I am convinced now that the only way to receive my refund is to take a legal action.
Hi,
Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We are sorry to hear about the frustration with your order. After review, it looks like a chargeback was filed. When a claim is filed with your financial institution, it removes our ability to issue a refund. In accordance with the aforementioned policies and procedures, we are not able to process any refunds or replacements until the chargeback has been settled for at least 90 days. We have communicated with you the date that you should see your refund reflect into your account. If you have any questions, please reply to the most recent email correspondence.
Sincerely,
The Houzz Team
I highly recommend against this app. Sure, there are a lot of "free trials" out there that make you put in a credit card number, and then you forget to cancel in time, and then they charge you. Be warned, this app will charge you $199 per month, and if you cancel even a minute after your renewal, they will stick to their terms and screw you out of your money even though you don't want to use their service. I was unfortunately on vacation in Mexico at the time my trial was expiring so I missed it when it came through. I cancelled probably 7 or 8 hours after the renewal deadline when I finally saw it. Like I said, I would avoid this app like the plague. Also, besides the money scam, this app is so-so in terms of features. They are trying to create a "do everything" app, and the end result comes out weak.

This is easy to use but that's about it, The program needs allot of work to be useful for any professional to use. Constant issues! We have been using for a few years and have had enough they are not getting better.

Answer: Good question Maggie. I don't think there is. I think this site is just there to help their vendor and not assist consumers in making informed decisions. I found had a contractor who had defrauded us and changed his business name on Houzz. I posted a review on his profile notifying the public of what he had done to us, and Houzz did not publish the review. I joined Sitejabber to warn the public about Houzz.
Answer: I began as a Pro on Houzz and spent $2000 on Advertising. This was supposedly for a year of top exposure. No one purchased, the couple of calls I received were people wanting to USE my service for ideas. I have since discontinued complimentary initial appointments. These people are the biggest scammers in the world! I'm still one of the Pros just to see if anything bites but I noticed they go into vendors photos and try to find similar product then they sell their products. Great way to sway your client and to steal customers!
Answer: Go straight to the top at Houzz. Ms. Adi Tatarko, CEO, Alon Cohen, Pres. If tha doesn't work, I suggest you file complaint with the Consumer Affairs Division of the California Attorney General's Office.
Answer: The Pros, at least at the beginning, were not in competition with this company (Houzz). They convinced the "Designer" world that the were strictly collecting ideas for the public and to help improve the vendors chances of being hired. Those reviews on the Pros are about the Pros, they come from their clients. About 2-3 years ago, Houzz began selling out from under all the vendors! They are SO low they have gone into the photos of the pros, look for a product they have that might be similar to something they sell and lead them away from the pro. The 1-2 stars you see here are the reviews for "Houzz" and their service but the reviews under a Pro are for that Pro. Don't be fooled... If you want the job done right, call the Pro! Listen to these reviews of Houzz and you won't get burned. Two different animals completely!
Answer: Steer clear. The advertising doesn't work, and although they originally started up as a company that would work alongside the vendors, they are now selling out from under most of them, especially the interiors decorators! They are SO low they have actually tagged products inside some of the photos of interior designers and tabbed out similar products to stay the customer away from the Pro and to purchase through them directly!
Answer: Do yourself a huge favor and find it somewhere else. Houzz contracts with third party sellers and their freight companies, they're just a middle man. What a nightmare this has been.
