My sit-stand desk arrived with only the desktop. No legs, feet, raise/Lower mechanism or hardware. It's been 28 days and multiple escalations and Houzz still won't respond. $500 down the drain. Time to file a Bette Business Bureau complaint.
I have ordered two sets of kitchen chairs in good faith. Both order were cancelled due to "being out of stock" even though we confirmed availability with a human. Both chairs are still being advertised as available on the Houzz site. This is fraud.

Seamless order process, competitive price and fast delivery let down by poor design and cheap construction. Buyer be aware! This set is around 8/10ths expected size making it way too small for average American. Not sure if Houzz actually tests all the products offered on their website. Reluctantly, we sent it back after opening the first of 10 boxes and being shocked at miniature sizing. Houzz made us pick up the almost $400 return freight cost which means I won't be shopping with them again.
Hi,
Thank you for sharing your feedback. We are sorry to hear that you were not happy with the size of the patio set. After review, we found that it was consistent with the dimensions stated in the listing. Should you need any additional assistance, you can respond to our last email or reach us at help.houzz.com.

Tried to buy a dishwasher which was to arrive within 2 weeks. Staff was friendly and checked on status. All OK. With 3 different warehouses and 400 dishwashers. However, when due date arrived, apologetic but internal investigation in warehouse. Would not, could not meet order.
I recently was sold on the business tools for my construction company. The pushy salesman called me over a period of 3 months until I finally gave in and signed up. The lead services etc. are nothing like what I was told I was getting. It's essentially a platform where you can show pictures of your work. The monthly premium is so much higher than their competitors yet they offer nothing more. Now that I'm signed up I can't even get a phone call or email back. The worst customer service I've seen in a while. I DO NOT recommend
They didn't include my entire address on the shipping label so ups just dropped it a random location. Houzz only wants to contact via email and after a week of waiting on a response I had to call to get the ball rolling because they haven't done anything with trying to find or replace my order. Going on three weeks now and they keep saying "one more day, one more day"
They told me it shipped yesterday which was a bold face lie because the package isn't in the system for ups. They do not care about their customers at all
Very rude customer service department and not helpful at all! I purchased an area rug and the next day it went on sale and they would not adjust my price for me! Terrible company to do business with and will never purchase from again!
Could not sign in to my account after I ordered 2 large, expensive items. Requested forgot password 3 times throughout the day, reached out through Contact Us without any response. There has not been any other way to track my orders, they shipped later than promised if at all. Still trying to find out
They say items in stock and can get in time for an event but then if you don't stalk their online for updates you'll find out it's a lie. I spoke with a rep to cancel who didn't cancel or put notes in and now am on hold forever with someone that repeats themselves constantly. Worst decision ever!
Laughing at the hearing impaired is NOT funny. The fear of being humiliated for misunderstanding a word isolates millions of hearing-handicapped people and prevents them from being active participants in society. Would you run a commercial which promotes laughter when a blind person trips and falls on a curb? Why is blindness a serious issue while deafness is hysterical?
Loss of hearing is not just an age-related issue. I personally have suffered severe hearing loss since my teens and have endured "socially acceptable" ridicule like your commercials are promoting for the past 45 years. (Many assume hearing aids restore normal hearing, like glasses restore normal vision, but this is absolutely NOT true.) Please stop contributing to this hurtful and harmful treatment of the hearing handicapped.
The quality of Items I received were at best sub standard. Houzz is like a clearing house for other companies. You will never know what you are getting till it arrives. Then its too late. When buying furniture its best to actually see and experience what you considering for a purchase. Shop before you buy, especially with furniture. Its not worth the financial risk to deal with Houzz or there affiliated suppliers. Our overall cost to get rid of a almost 600 dollar order was 325 dollars which included restock and shipping.
After months of trying to get a hold of our account manager, and then anyone from Houzz through their 800 number and website, we finally got a response from a new account manager after we asked our credit card company to stop payments. The same thing is happening on this website - they obviously have someone from Houzz trying to do damage control - maybe if they put their money into customer service up front instead of hiring people to respond to every negative review on this site they could turn the company around. It would also help if their account executives were truthful about the terms of the contracts. Before you sign up for a Pro account, make sure to read 15. General Provisions f. Modifications. They hide this way down in the contract on purpose. As professionals we would NEVER treat our clients like Houzz treats us!

I am very disappointed as I did not authorize a re- purchase when my card was declined. I also didn't know that it was in u.s. funds so these 2 simple light fixtures cost me almost $700 & I had already purchased other ones for a much better price.
Hi,
Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. We are sorry to hear about the frustration with your order. When an order fails to capture payment, Houzz will try to reauthorize the payment card on file again in 24 hours. An email was sent to notify you of this. This is all to ensure that your order processes and arrives in a timely manner. Each time a failure occurs, another email is sent notifying the card holder. Houzz will make up to 7 attempts to authorize the payment card on file before the order is auto-canceled. If you have additional questions, please visit us at help.houzz.com.

I did most of my shopping online and given this year's supply/demand issues, I started shopping for Christmas in October. Most business extend their return policy for the holidays or at the least provide store credit for gifts that either miss the mark or turn out to be duplicates. It is not the case for this company. In today's market when there is so many competitors in pricing and delivery, you're much better off getting your goods from another supplier who understands good customer relations as Houzz most definitely does not.
Thank you for sharing your experience. We appreciate your feedback as it will help us continue to improve our processes every day.
We bought an entranceway fixture for our daughter for Christmas. As this was a major undertaking to install, my husband began the process after the 30 day return policy. The entranceway is two stories up so not something you can quickly install. As he began the process of assembling, he noticed one of the pieces of wood was cracked. He contacted Houzz and received a reply that unfortunately it was passed the 30 day policy. All he wanted was a replacement piece, not to return the whole fixture. For the price we paid, we are disappointed since there was obviously a defect in their product.
Hi,
Thank you for sharing your experience. After review, it looks like this was reported outside of Houzz Policy, which can be reviewed at houzz.com/return-policy. We are sorry for the frustration caused.

First, there is a tremendous amount of products from which to choose, making Houzz the premier place for decor. Setting filters is easy and the colors are presented with great fidelity. I bought pillow covers, pillows, and shams and love all of them. These are high quality items!
They completely let me be ripped off and screwed over by sofamania. They lied about sofamania paying return shipping on 1 of 2 boxes for a bed because I never received the second box. Houzz is the middleman but doesn't want to get in the middle. They do not stand by their customers. Hopefully, they fail miserably.
I am getting nervous - no response for days - I just want to return a light/fan that is too big for space! I have emailed my request with order number as per instructions several times and heard nothing!
I ordered a simple coffee cup. It arrived wrapped in thin plastic and a small cardboard box. The handle is broken. All I wanted was replacement come before Christmas. You would think I am trying to rob the National Treasury Department. I've sent emails and pictures and next they'll be wanting my fingerprints. My advice? Buyers beware
I ordered a laundry basket a few days ago and received a confirmation that it would be received within a certain window. Now today I get an email saying "we are cancelling your order because the vendor is out of stock". They do not say if your credit card was charged or what if anything is going to happen with a reorder. This is poor. That leaves you with having to call them because on their site it only shows about cancellations for items you want cancelled not the vendor. I will not take my time and reorder from Houzz. Stick with Amazon, Wayfair or another vendor that knows how to fulfill an order in a reasonable timeframe.
Answer: Good question Maggie. I don't think there is. I think this site is just there to help their vendor and not assist consumers in making informed decisions. I found had a contractor who had defrauded us and changed his business name on Houzz. I posted a review on his profile notifying the public of what he had done to us, and Houzz did not publish the review. I joined Sitejabber to warn the public about Houzz.
Answer: I began as a Pro on Houzz and spent $2000 on Advertising. This was supposedly for a year of top exposure. No one purchased, the couple of calls I received were people wanting to USE my service for ideas. I have since discontinued complimentary initial appointments. These people are the biggest scammers in the world! I'm still one of the Pros just to see if anything bites but I noticed they go into vendors photos and try to find similar product then they sell their products. Great way to sway your client and to steal customers!
Answer: Go straight to the top at Houzz. Ms. Adi Tatarko, CEO, Alon Cohen, Pres. If tha doesn't work, I suggest you file complaint with the Consumer Affairs Division of the California Attorney General's Office.
Answer: The Pros, at least at the beginning, were not in competition with this company (Houzz). They convinced the "Designer" world that the were strictly collecting ideas for the public and to help improve the vendors chances of being hired. Those reviews on the Pros are about the Pros, they come from their clients. About 2-3 years ago, Houzz began selling out from under all the vendors! They are SO low they have gone into the photos of the pros, look for a product they have that might be similar to something they sell and lead them away from the pro. The 1-2 stars you see here are the reviews for "Houzz" and their service but the reviews under a Pro are for that Pro. Don't be fooled... If you want the job done right, call the Pro! Listen to these reviews of Houzz and you won't get burned. Two different animals completely!
Answer: Steer clear. The advertising doesn't work, and although they originally started up as a company that would work alongside the vendors, they are now selling out from under most of them, especially the interiors decorators! They are SO low they have actually tagged products inside some of the photos of interior designers and tabbed out similar products to stay the customer away from the Pro and to purchase through them directly!
Answer: Do yourself a huge favor and find it somewhere else. Houzz contracts with third party sellers and their freight companies, they're just a middle man. What a nightmare this has been.
Houzz has a rating of 2.1 stars from 1,658 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers dissatisfied with Houzz most frequently mention customer service, credit card and delivery date. Houzz ranks 46th among Furniture sites.
