I've placed several different orders with Houzz and have been very pleased. I had an issue with one order and their customer service was quick to solve my issue with an option of a replacement or refund (no wait time)
After 10 days, 10 emails back and forth, and almost 3 hours on the phone in 5 different times, still have not been able to return a bathroom vanity. Lack of response from their customer service and being able to resolve the issue is disgrace.
This would have never happened if purchased from AMAZON.
The sales woman talked me into singing up for 630.00 and never could get anyone to walk me through my subscription. And fell if they are going to sale you something they should try to make sure you get something for your money. Hopefully I'm the only one who has experience this.
Placed an order with Houzz and was immediately charged for the product. No problem so far. But then Houzz discovered that their supplier did not have the product available. This raises a couple of questions about their service. 1. Why was the item marked "Not currently available"? Most reputable web sites do this. 2. Why was the charge made before Houzz could determine that the item was indeed available for shipping? I think I'll pass up this site on future orders.
After making a couple of purchases through Houzz that were unpleasant, Houzz sent me a couple more discounts. There was request for a product review, where I'd receive $30 off my next purchase once completed. There was also a 15% discount on a separate purchase.
With the $30 coupon, I purchased two sets of shades. It turned out to be a pretty good deal. You will be lucky to find extra large blinds under $100 each that are custom-made. The communication with Houzz's vendor First Rate Blinds also was expedient.
With the 15% discount, I found a nice chandelier that was already discounted. Only three were left, so I quickly snatched it up.
I'm only waiting for the delivery of these products. I will add an update of their quality once received and installed.
Thanks Houzz. You truly are taking the steps to correct the past mistakes.
STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. First purchase: three pendant lights. Only one light was delivered, and I received an email that the order was complete thru one tracking number. I phone and told them this was WRONG. I was then told that the two others would be delivered in separate tracking numbers. In the meantime, because of the "inconvenience" I was given a 10% off coupon toward my next purchase. Eventually, I was relieved that my two other lights arrived (see photo), so I pulled the trigger and ordered a chandelier, using the 10% coupon. The very next day, Houzz contacted me saying THEY had cancelled the order. I called back and sent an email asking what happened to my product. Nobody has contacted me since. SCREW THEM.
We ordered a washer/dryer combo unit that was supposed to be delivered between Oct 12-15. Still "in processing" and it is Oct. 21 now. Cannot get anybody from the company to answer the phone, not even the customer service number. $1400. It's hard for me to believe a company is this unprofessional. I've left a couple of voicemails now and no call back.
Thank you for sharing your experience. Our team has reached out to you directly. We are sorry for the frustrations this order caused.
From the sales visit to installation of my new windows, it was a great experience. Vince, my salesman, spent time going over the product available and answered every question. Not my first rodeo buying windows so I actually purchased on quality of the windows and the way the company does business.
The two installers were polite, answered my questions as well and did a beautiful clean-up during and after the install. I definitely will recommend Morgan Exteriors and will use them again for future work.
The product really was not as classy in design or as well made as expected. It arrived in good condition although I didn't check to see if the item was complete with respect to screws and other hardware. Houzz was excellent in terms of customer service, we were able to return the 4 boxes, 3 of which we had not opened, and received the refund promptly. I have no complaints at all about the shopping experience.
The chandelier we bought is exquisite, arrived on time, in perfect condition. The issue was assembling and hanging this complicated, practically instruction-less fixture! CS at Houzz responded, but the help was minimal as they could only pass on what the manufacturer had to offer. Houzz service, follow-up and helpfulness, however, is second to none.
Houzz is a great service for professional designers as well as those who want to redecorate their homes. You can search for design ideas, shop for furniture and find professionals for your design ideas there. I've ordered a set of lamps for my dining room from Houzz website. I'm very satisfied with the quality, but the delivery took about 5 weeks, which is a bit too long. Keep it in mind when ordering from there that the delivery will take some time, but it is a common issue when ordering furniture.
You better off use Amazon they are more reliable and responsible for their products and third party they deal with.
Anything goes wrong with your order from houzz you get the run around by the end they ask you to pay almost 50% of what they charge you to return the item, I do not think they have any legal right to deduct any money before refunding you back this is illegal practice. Other reliable companies stand behind their product and they are fair to their customers. Stay away.
This is how started: You are returning an order with Bella Depot Inc
Your order was sold and shipped by a Houzz seller: Bella Depot Inc.
So, you purchase in Houzz.com but they have individual seller and they don't have free return like Amazon or other sites. Bella Depot request a lot of things before being able to send the fans back. The fans that I bought through Houzz cost 150.00 each and the shipping cost to return them cost me 141.50. If you are making a big purchase go with someone else that can offer you free returns because if you are not satisfied with the merchandise you will be stock with it, re selling it or paying like me the full return cost.
Thank you for sharing your experience. We appreciate your feedback as it will help us continue to improve our processes every day. If you have any customer service inquiries, please shoot us a note through http://help.houzz.com.
I should have read all these terrible reviews on Houzz nightmare stories before.
My company decided to advertise with Houzz for a year. We didn't land any projects from those leads, some of which never returned our calls to even make an appointment.
I called to cancel and was told that my account automatically renewed for a year and we would have to pay a penalty if we wanted out. Customer service is horrible and this is a complete and utter waste of money.
Scam Scam Scam

After going back and forth for 2 weeks over a cheap product I am out $50 in product and shipping fees and I do not even have the items. The blame was placed on me because I didn't pay even more in shipping fees to insure the return. USPS damaged the product and now it is my fault. Terrible customer service. They need to take some tips from Amazon. It is essential online stores have good return policies for their customers. I will be telling all my friends and family to avoid Houzz.
The pair of Flash Furniture 24'' High Blue Metal Counter Height Stool arrived with bubbled paint on both seats. Houzz issued a small discount based based on what was supposedly cosmetic imperfections. Less than 1 year later, the paint has chipped off both stools where the bubbled paint was and they are now rusted and unusable. Houzz and the supplier BisonOffice both said to file a warranty claim with Flash Furniture but Flash Furniture said they do not file claims for end users. They said to contact Houzz where the purchase was made and "they will be glad to help you." Houzz was not glad or even willing to help resolve the problem. Neither the manufacturer nor the retailer is taking responsibility for this defective furniture. Terrible order experience and useless customer service.
I ordered a set of curtains. They did not go with the rest of the room re: color and style. Sent it back and haven't heard a thing or seen my refund@$60. What a scam! Never ever order from them. Buyer beware.
Run away from this company. Useless. Bad deliveries and even worse customer service. The last one: cancelled an order before it shipped but have to pay $28 because they shipped it! On line company with 1960 technology! Much happier with the competitor!
I wished i would have read these reviews before hand. I ordered 2 twin beds and they sent 2 double beds. I have been fighting with a fake customer service dept for over a month. They send a generic message giving deadline dates of giving a full refund that date passes and still have no refund. I am contacting an attorney to see if anything can be done. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING from this company. The only reason they got a star is because it wont post without
I just spent an hour trying to locate my order. I received a confirmation but there's no record of It The customer service rep was only available via chat and could only cancel my order after they contacted the vendor online. Huh? You screw up my order and I now need to wait in an email from Regal Flame. This is bad business. I'll need to call my credit card company to fight the charge.

I was sold Houzz Pro because I fell for the scarcity sales tactic. I was told by the smooth salesperson
1. Houzz provides quality leads.
2. There was only one spot left of three in my county.
3. The others had been with Houzz since 2014 and always renewed.
4. Houzz has the highest Branding and Marketing in the world.
5. I was agreeing to a 12 month partnership.
No leads have produced new work for my company. The contract is without a termination clause. I have sent in writing to terminate my account. I have gotten nowhere. I am taking Houzz Pro to Arbitration as they are refusing to own that they lied.
Answer: Good question Maggie. I don't think there is. I think this site is just there to help their vendor and not assist consumers in making informed decisions. I found had a contractor who had defrauded us and changed his business name on Houzz. I posted a review on his profile notifying the public of what he had done to us, and Houzz did not publish the review. I joined Sitejabber to warn the public about Houzz.
Answer: I began as a Pro on Houzz and spent $2000 on Advertising. This was supposedly for a year of top exposure. No one purchased, the couple of calls I received were people wanting to USE my service for ideas. I have since discontinued complimentary initial appointments. These people are the biggest scammers in the world! I'm still one of the Pros just to see if anything bites but I noticed they go into vendors photos and try to find similar product then they sell their products. Great way to sway your client and to steal customers!
Answer: Go straight to the top at Houzz. Ms. Adi Tatarko, CEO, Alon Cohen, Pres. If tha doesn't work, I suggest you file complaint with the Consumer Affairs Division of the California Attorney General's Office.
Answer: The Pros, at least at the beginning, were not in competition with this company (Houzz). They convinced the "Designer" world that the were strictly collecting ideas for the public and to help improve the vendors chances of being hired. Those reviews on the Pros are about the Pros, they come from their clients. About 2-3 years ago, Houzz began selling out from under all the vendors! They are SO low they have gone into the photos of the pros, look for a product they have that might be similar to something they sell and lead them away from the pro. The 1-2 stars you see here are the reviews for "Houzz" and their service but the reviews under a Pro are for that Pro. Don't be fooled... If you want the job done right, call the Pro! Listen to these reviews of Houzz and you won't get burned. Two different animals completely!
Answer: Steer clear. The advertising doesn't work, and although they originally started up as a company that would work alongside the vendors, they are now selling out from under most of them, especially the interiors decorators! They are SO low they have actually tagged products inside some of the photos of interior designers and tabbed out similar products to stay the customer away from the Pro and to purchase through them directly!
Answer: Do yourself a huge favor and find it somewhere else. Houzz contracts with third party sellers and their freight companies, they're just a middle man. What a nightmare this has been.
Houzz has a rating of 2.1 stars from 1,658 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers dissatisfied with Houzz most frequently mention customer service, credit card and delivery date. Houzz ranks 47th among Furniture sites.
