I was issued a tracking number over a week ago. No one knows where my product is. They've already charged my credit card. Everyone is very nice when you call customer service, but I feel like this is a huge scam. I have tradespeople waiting to install my vanity and no idea when it's coming in. It's getting more costly everyday, not to mention all my time checking up with them. Why is it so hard to deliver a product you order. Amazon does it? I will never order from them again.
Folding chairs came... ripped. Tried to reach. On hold over 20 min, Never got to speak to a human. Second order, table. Contacted me as to time... chose one, 1-5 last Thursday. I have patients all day, had to arrange for someone to be there. No delivery, no contact. Had to track down " Ceva?" Delivery. Again, over 20 min on hold, agent did not know where item was! Even though I was on their home page looking at shipping details. As of today Monday/31, have not heard a thing.
I first made contact with Dreamstyle because of FB add. Made an appointment and had the work and cost discussed. My wife has Multiple Sclerosis and has difficulty bathing with a bath tub. We came to an agreement on the work to be done and chose what we needed and price from their many options. Joseph Thomas and Will Holt did the work in less than eight hours, were curious, informative, and willing to let me observe the progress. The work was excellent, done professionally and as promised. My wife and I love our new shower and life for her now is much easier.
I called and spoke with a representative on June 13th who confirmed that I should not have been charged for adding a team member to my subscription because there were no additions or changes made to my profile. However, when my ticket was elevated to the next level to have my subscription cancelled, due to the repeated issues had with billing, I was told that I would not be refunded and a team member was added on May 24th, which is the same date I contacted customer service due to a third charge of $99 AFTER I had been told the day before that my account was up to date. Even though I explained that I, 1- did not enter the site until on May 24th because I was traveling for the holiday, and 2- do not have any team members. My ticket was closed without a response, and I have yet to be refunded for the $60 over charge received.

After paying thousands of dollars to Houzz since it was established, I feel it no longer works to provide quality leads. For whatever reason, Houzz has tried to become the end-all, be-all, and do-all for its members and no longer provides qualified referrals. I have had referrals from Houzz in the past 3 years. All of them except one have been "duds" for two reasons: (1) They don't align with my business model of a professional kitchen-bath and addition designer; (2) They don't reply even when I express interest in their project through several written messages and phone calls. This means that I've paid over $6,000 to earn $3,500 from the one client. I've expressed my dissatisfaction to Houzz many times, in feedback forms and surveys like this. There's been no reply from Houzz except to remind me of the contract I signed. It feels like Houzz is more interested in their income than helping me with my income!
Purchased window cover in a large size. I've covered several windows before but this was a different brand. It arrived on time but tube was damaged. No problem because the pattern was not affected. The product was more difficult to work with. The backing is heavy and not easily removed as it's applied. Even with 2 people. There is also an area where the paper appears damaged. It's up and looks good. 2 days now but the color has not yet evened out.
House is nearly impossible to deal with. They have no return address listed; they don't return messages; and the blame everything on others taking no responsibility themselves. They had the nerve to ask me to change my review to positive from negative even though they didn't bother to apologize for a late delivery or even accept that the product sent was defective. No one should ever do business with them. I am still not done with the ordeal.
We've been selling through Houzz for a couple of years now. At first, we were getting orders for small items (under $500), and it was fine. Something changed this year. It's almost as if there's widespread customer fraud. We've been getting many orders for a $4,000 table we sell which inevitably get claimed as being damaged. However, there's always some sort of suspicious occurrence in which the customer "loses" or throws out the damaged item, and HOUZZ sides with the customer, leaving us as the retailer on the hook for the lost revenue. Customers are impossible to get in touch with. In my 15 years as a retailer, I've never had issues reaching a customer. But HOUZZ customers are ghosts. Something is just not right, Also, there are orders that can't be charged when the shipping time comes, leaving us scrambling to cancel the order. It's just plain old weird. It's like HOUZZ customers don't really want the items they are ordering and hide behind the veil of anonymity the site provides.
I love Houzz. On an average week I receive calls or e-mails from 6 potential clients who found our firm through www.houzz.com. It is like having an around the clock marketing team showing our work across the country to people who are looking for an architect and are attracted to our style.
The pro version has allowed me to study which photos are trending and therefore which to use in other advertising venues as well as my blog posts and newsletters. It is not an exaggeration to say I would be lost without my Houzz.
Houzz has a lot of items which are actually being sold by a third party. I wrote to cancel an item almost immediately after ordering it, but as Houzz's website states, they will respond in "three to five days". By the time they managed to have the actual vendor contact me, the item had been shipped. The vendor states I have to pay for return shipping, and it is a very heavy and large rug. If Houzz had decent customer service, this never would have happened. I will never purchase from them again.
I responded to an email promising $30 if I reviewed a recent purchase. No credit was ever issued to my account and I was not able to reach a person to address this issue for 2 days. Never did get a response. Houzz avoids all attempts to speak with their customers. If Houzz were to devote the same time and energy it spends avoiding contact with customers to managing the customer experience and resolving issues quickly and professionally, I would be buying stock and urging my colleagues to do the same. As it is, this company is an abysmal failure in enhancing the consumer experience.
Do not purchase from this vendor. If something goes wrong with your purchase, you will never see your money again. My product arrived damaged. I paid $30 to send it back. I waited 3 weeks after confirmation of delivery for my refund, called and emailed multiple times, and it never came. I finally filed a dispute through my credit card vendor.
I made an online order May 21,2020 and my card was charged soon afterwards however, there is currently no status on delivery. When I check my order status, it has always said "Status: In Production" and was supposed to have been delivered between May 28-June 7. I have sent 2 emails through their online system inquiring on delivery status and have yet to receive a response. I tried calling only to be waiting for 2.5 hrs to speak to someone in customer service. This is ridiculous and no word on my order! I have always had good service with Houzz but this is absurd!
An older Kitchen bar stool broke and needed a replacement quickly. Looked online at Houzz, found a totally different color and style that I liked, ordered a couple of replacements and they were delivered right to my door in a few days.
Kitchen island now looks fresh and new. Love it!
Ordering was quick and easy. Let's see if delivery is just as quick and easy.
Susan is a very tall enter designer, not to mention positive, energetic and fun to work with. I was a little stressed about the process of my bathroom remodel, but she really kept things running smoothly. Her contractors were very fairly priced and did excellent work. She helped me decide where best to splurge and where to stay within reason, keeping me on budget. Susan listened to my preferences, but urged me a little out of my comfort zone resulting in a spectacular master bathroom. I love the final product and would highly recommend Susan and her team to anyone looking for a designer.
I'm truly sad that I purchased from houzz and received defective and broken item and they didn't care to replace at all. I had proof of all boxing and items. Since I was one day out of 5 day policy. I work as a nurse and only had time to open on weekend. I paid for an item that damaged due to no fault of mine that I can't use. Worst part was the service I received
Hello Christina, we apologize for this poor experience but thank you for sharing your feedback. A Houzz team member has been in touch with you directly to come to an amicable solution. Please do not hesitate to reach out at help.houzz.com if we can be of further assistance!
I was over sold by a hard charging sales rep. I quickly felt misled about what I was getting. My photos were not displayed as I was told. I also had a dedicated client success manager for a month or two and while he was a bit hard to get a hold of was helpful to me when we spoke. Suddenly, shortly before I was supposed to have a phone meeting with him he cancelled with no explanation and now I was to just contact their generic customer support when I needed something. Except you can't call them, no one ever answers the phone so it is through email only with a nameless bot on the other side. I let all of that slide and decided to see what the program could do for me but did not receive any leads. My year is up and I realize I need to cancel. Unfortunately they auto-renew which I did not realize. And there is no reminder email as most companies who auto-renew send. I am extremely dissatisfied with this service and strongly advise against signing up with Houzz.
Hi Kate,
We are sorry to hear this! I was not able to locate your profile with only your first name and last initial. Are you able to reply with your business name, so that we can reach out to help?

I have had difficult experiences purchasing items from this website. First of all, shipping information comes by tracking number and not the name of the item and tracking number. This becomes confusing when I'm ordering many items from many different sellers through Houzz. Making a return is a complex process involving multiple emails sending pictures Etc in the case of a defective item I asked for the seller to pay for the return shipping as they should. That doesn't seem like it's going to happen. I'm sticking with Amazon from now on!
Just passing along a bit of info about this company and their lack of concern for customer service.
I ordered bar stools from them and after waiting a week past the promised delivery date, I received a brief email telling me the order was cancelled. No reason given, no real apology and no incentive to deal with them.
When I called customer service I was ready for one of my famous battles, but to my chagrin, they did not seem to even care. I had to goad them into an apology and an offer of 10% off another bar stool (which I promptly threw back in their face, since I did not like any of the other ones). They were more interested in getting me off the phone than in my current or future business.
So be warned if you order from them. You may be dealing with a louse in the Houzz.
Customer #******* (almost like a prison number)
Sent the wrong product and was hell-bent on me shipping it back. A month later, I still don't have what I order, except they charged my credit card and have received their incorrect product return. They could care less about customer satisfaction or customer service. Stay away!
Answer: Good question Maggie. I don't think there is. I think this site is just there to help their vendor and not assist consumers in making informed decisions. I found had a contractor who had defrauded us and changed his business name on Houzz. I posted a review on his profile notifying the public of what he had done to us, and Houzz did not publish the review. I joined Sitejabber to warn the public about Houzz.
Answer: I began as a Pro on Houzz and spent $2000 on Advertising. This was supposedly for a year of top exposure. No one purchased, the couple of calls I received were people wanting to USE my service for ideas. I have since discontinued complimentary initial appointments. These people are the biggest scammers in the world! I'm still one of the Pros just to see if anything bites but I noticed they go into vendors photos and try to find similar product then they sell their products. Great way to sway your client and to steal customers!
Answer: Go straight to the top at Houzz. Ms. Adi Tatarko, CEO, Alon Cohen, Pres. If tha doesn't work, I suggest you file complaint with the Consumer Affairs Division of the California Attorney General's Office.
Answer: The Pros, at least at the beginning, were not in competition with this company (Houzz). They convinced the "Designer" world that the were strictly collecting ideas for the public and to help improve the vendors chances of being hired. Those reviews on the Pros are about the Pros, they come from their clients. About 2-3 years ago, Houzz began selling out from under all the vendors! They are SO low they have gone into the photos of the pros, look for a product they have that might be similar to something they sell and lead them away from the pro. The 1-2 stars you see here are the reviews for "Houzz" and their service but the reviews under a Pro are for that Pro. Don't be fooled... If you want the job done right, call the Pro! Listen to these reviews of Houzz and you won't get burned. Two different animals completely!
Answer: Steer clear. The advertising doesn't work, and although they originally started up as a company that would work alongside the vendors, they are now selling out from under most of them, especially the interiors decorators! They are SO low they have actually tagged products inside some of the photos of interior designers and tabbed out similar products to stay the customer away from the Pro and to purchase through them directly!
Answer: Do yourself a huge favor and find it somewhere else. Houzz contracts with third party sellers and their freight companies, they're just a middle man. What a nightmare this has been.
Houzz has a rating of 2.1 stars from 1,658 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers dissatisfied with Houzz most frequently mention customer service, credit card and delivery date. Houzz ranks 47th among Furniture sites.
