Home Depot's reputation is marked by a mix of positive and negative customer experiences. Many customers appreciate the wide selection of products and the knowledgeable staff, which contribute to a convenient shopping experience. However, significant concerns arise regarding customer service, particularly related to installation issues, return policies, and delayed deliveries. Customers frequently report dissatisfaction with the handling of complaints and a perceived lack of support, leading to frustration and a sense of being undervalued. Overall, while the company offers a robust product range, its customer service approach appears inconsistent, impacting overall satisfaction.

Nice selection of products. Many products to choose from. Love their tool selections.
Love shopping online and picking up items at the customer service desk.
Home Depot is a great store in many ways. Often they have some very good people, not always. Some stores such as Vallejo, CA are terrible. Others like Redmond, OR are some of the best in the entire western USA. It's all about the people who run those stores, some are better than others.
When I go, they have everything you need, and typically knowledgeable staff.
Been shopping at Home Depot concord, ca for many years. As a contractor can usually get anything I need. Online works well. Sometimes wait is too long. If they screw up they make it right. Concord store is much better than some of the Home Depot I have tried to use. There return policy is good. Nursery does large volume and they do a good job. I can usually get information I need.at the Concord store. Prices are generally good.
Customer service in Milton was extremely helpful for us. When they didn't have the product advertised on their website they gave us a more expensive one at the sale price!
My only complaint would be the garden center when the employee was sitting, on his phone, and shoes off who never asked us once if we needed any help with anything. Ended up purchasing our shed somewhere else. << this is the only reason they lose a star.
Obviously a wonderful store for home owners and builders. It depends on the department, but the staff is not always knowledgeable on the products. Always very friendly though. Just do your own research and shop around.
I ordered a new dryer on May 4th. A week later it wasn't delivered so I contacted customer service who said the local store hadn't finalized the order. Okay, no biggie, only delayed my delivery by 3-4 days.
I got an e-mail from a Homedepot.com appliance specialist confirming my delivery date.
Delivery day arrives and I hear nothing. Call up customer service who say they have no record of my order. Huh?
I call up Homedepot.com customer service (Because apparently you can't transfer between regular customer service and the website customer service) and they say the same thing.
After pretty much demanding my way through supervisors I finally get a straight answer - the local vendor was out of stock of my item but failed to notify anybody.
Soonest I could get a dryer was in another 12 days.
I got a refund and GTFO
I would never recommend this website to anyone EVER!
Silver lining: The last guy I talked to in customer service was nice about the whole thing because he understood the comedy of errors that had led to my refund.
Some things are overpriced but their customer service is excellent.
Home depot has the best selection of building products of any home supply store I've ever been to.
Low quality products, but a large selection and inventory. Everything you need for todays builder.
We love HomeDepot service, very good. But, we get to the check out and ask if they give military discount and the checker says "Yes, we do" and we present the valid military card and thought we received the 10% off? We got home and no discount was applied! WE BOUGHT A $800 dishwasher among other things! We had to drive all the way back to straighten out the mess and get our discount, so be sure to verify with the clerk that you actually got the discount before you leave and drive all the way home. SIGH
I walk in a HomeDepot and I'm almost always sure they got what I need. Customer service isn't always the best, but they've gotten better since their new competitor, Lowe's, came to town.
When I need something right now I will settle for going to Home Depot. Now this does not mean they will always have the item I am looking for. It seems about half the time the one item I need to finish the job... well rows and rows of material but the one slot that is empty is the item I need. Then we have to think of another way to finish up using a round about method. This runs the price up of what I was expecting to spend. But when I order online with them there is the option to see if that item is in stock, so that helps. Most of the time I try and get all my material over the internet, E-Bay and such. Much cheaper, It seems Home Depot is quite pricey on their stock. Lucky for them there are things like plywood and 10' sticks of pipe that are not easy to get delivered unless you get a large amount. So I will go there, and pay for the convenience. :)
Home Depot site is difficult to navigate sometimes. Items that you may be looking for are sometimes found in the last place you would expect. Also they have shipping policies that don't make sense sometimes. Check and double-check before automatically clicking on "free shipping".
Love shopping Home Depot. It's also the closest store of it's kind. If you have anything to return there has never been a problem.
Another antiquated business that needs you to create yet another marginal internet account instead of using top-level single sign on SSO providers e.g. Google, Facebook
Answer: Hi Betty, you can also return without receipt if you purchased using your credit card. Give them the same CC and they can tell the price you bought at.
