Home Depot's reputation is marked by a mix of positive and negative customer experiences. Many customers appreciate the wide selection of products and the knowledgeable staff, which contribute to a convenient shopping experience. However, significant concerns arise regarding customer service, particularly related to installation issues, return policies, and delayed deliveries. Customers frequently report dissatisfaction with the handling of complaints and a perceived lack of support, leading to frustration and a sense of being undervalued. Overall, while the company offers a robust product range, its customer service approach appears inconsistent, impacting overall satisfaction.

Bought some Wood for a project.
Knowledgeable staff, quick checkout
Louella- Ordered a sliding glass door with Home Depot ' s installation service. The door was in stock not a special order. Immediately after the installer left, we noticed defects with the door. Reported it to Home Depot, they confirmed it was a defect and not a warranty item. They worked with the vendor that they would replace the door and not the glass. They said it should be done in 2-3 weeks, which really meant six weeks. The vendor rescheduled due to lack of part, so now it is going to be 2 months before a possible solution. If we had taken the time to find a contractor, we would of saved money and worked directly with the contractor instead of Home Depot. Home Depot doesn't do anything for you once the product leaves the store. Overpriced and poor customer service.
I recently bought a new lawnmower. It broke just outside of the warranty. I got it changed, no problem.
Home Depot has almost everything I need for all seasons!
Well home depot really is the only real hardware store left these days... well them and lowes, but I find home depot still has a better selection. Always priced good too. Only problem i have sometimes... their isles could be a little better organized.
I bought a tool at Home Depot, and when I returned it broken, with my receipt - they wouldn't take it back
If Walmart owned a home improvement store this would be it.
Is there any compensation for lost time and money while waiting 2 weeks past the delivery date, for a dryer purchased on line through Home Depot? The 800 number I called offered $50.00, but I am out $325.00. Washing and drying, time off work for doing this, and gas money.
Very disappointed
Not many employees are trained to help and the self check is awful. Really, too cheap to hire someone to take my money!?
Let's face it folks, when you need ANYTHING for your home or apartment, Home Depot is the first store we think of. No one says "I need drywall and paint, I'll go to Subway!" I know......sarcastic, but that's just me Seriously though, Home Depot is the place to go for pretty much everything you could need (minus a pizza), however I only gave 4 stars because the higher-ups at Home Depot know this same truth about their store. Hence the prices could stand to be knocked down a few notches. Things are starting to get expensive guys/gals! Back me up here!
Went to Lowes to buy a door for my shed and the place was a wreck and very unorganized. Left their and went to HD and even the shopping carts were put in order. Help was great and door worked out perfect. Thank you
I do not use the internet as much now. I have been running a completely unprofessional challenge of purchasing between H/D and the internet. The majority of times I purchase from the internet, I go to H/D and check prices and availability and guess who wins, H /D. And something else I have a lot more spare time now that I'm not mail-box watching.
I decided to remodel my home last year, and used Home Depot for flooring, some cabinetry and paint. Everyone I contacted at my store (Cypress, CA) helped me superbly, going over and above to make sure my plans were true to my needs/wants and stayed under my budget. When I had to return some materials, the folks at customer service were friendly, and very helpful. Some confusion even entered the game and they used a great deal of expertise and math to make sure I was happy. Thank you, Home Depot! Your customer service has improved by order of magnitude!
Order the first shower head and it was called Hotel SPA brand It was only about $30.00
The hook up took less than 5 minutes It was wonderful. It was so great we bought another. Both took less than two days to get delivered.
Now just waiting on the fridge during the sale we on the 27 of December
I use them a lot. Always have what you need. Cheaper than small hardware chains. But I have noticed prices for plants creeping up. Also, didn't like that I couldn't return pain that didn't match my sample.
Just an really well thought out, useful site all around. There are too may features to lst, I recommend you check t out for yourself, especially small businesses. Those whom order and pick up materials a lot would benefit from online ordering, tracking and receipts.
There's nothing you cannot find at Home Depot to redo an entire house. Prices are fair, staff are more than helpful and knowledgable, and they are everywhere! I like them way more than Lowe's.
Horrible experience. 2857 store. Took 35 minutes to pick up online order. Lady named Lisa was rude and disrespectful just because I told her I did not want a product in a broken box.
Their stores are so much fun! The employees are knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. I can spend hours there just walking the aisles, and every time I need to fix/repair/build/make something, there is someone at Home Depot to lend a hand. Fun store!
Answer: Hi Betty, you can also return without receipt if you purchased using your credit card. Give them the same CC and they can tell the price you bought at.
