Healthy plants

I like Hirt's. I get great plants that are healthy and happy. Given that it gets pretty hot in Texas I've had a couple plants come a little weak but they get better immediately after repotting and watering. I had one mix up where I got the wrong plant but they quickly gave my money back even though I was willing to take free shipping on the right plant. So I'm satisfied. They're great. I will shop again.

I receuved my 2 plants today they are magnificent... if i would of picked them myself i could not have done a better job.the size of my purchases are awesome, they are very strikingly healthy plants and they were packaged with great care... i will definately be buying from you hopefully for years to come. I called my daughter after i opened them and told her how impressed i was.so i intend to tell all my plant buddies, now i really cant wait for my new greenhouse to get here so i can order more plants. No complaints, Fast easy service, Healthy plants.

Ordered plants on Nov. 16 received shipping confirmation on Nov. 17, received plants on Nov. 19. When I had first received the plants' everything was shipped securely, only one of them had been damaged during shipping (It was expected since it was an elephant ear plant). The damaged plant had since sprouted new leaves and is growing well, the same goes for the other plant ordered. Seeing as though it has been slightly over a month and the plants are still doing well, I have no complaints about the quality of the products. The Packaging is thorough, the service is fast, I had no need to further contact the company after my order was placed and received. Will be buying again.

I absolutely love Hirt's, everything I have bought from there comes quickly, and in pristine condition! I definitely suggest them, in every department they sell. I ordered plants, and their live ladybugs. Both always come happy and healthy! And the ladybugs do their job and fly away once all the bad bugs are gone.

Very Pleased!

I read a number of reviews and was leary about purchasing. This site had a specific plant I'd been searching for and decided I'd risk it. I was extremely pleased with my purchase. Even though it's winter 60 mi west of Chicago; the plants arrived better than I hoped. The packaging was superb; delivery charges were reasonable; the plants were larger than I hoped and they arrived without any issues. I will definetly be purchasing from Hirt's Gardens again. Linda

Choose wisely

I ordered a watermelon peperomia from Hirts and I was expecting a larger healthy plant as pictured, I spent $10 + shipping which was more than the plant itself. What I was sent was a half dead "plant" with 8 leaves stuck in overly wet dirt. I've since lost the plant as I was unable to save it and it died within 2 days. I will not be buying anymore from Hirts, I can't believe it was even sent out from their nursery. I'm now left with an overpriced dead plant.

Nice plants

I ordered several hydrangea plants and was seriously happy at the price and size of the plants. They forgot 3 but hopefully they'll remedy the mistake.

The plants I receive just leaves in dirt not one root, the leaves arrived not in the dirt on the bottom of box... I'm not looking for a refund just wanted you to know... I'm more disappointed than upset... thanks feel free to contact me

I recently have decided to help my grandmother with her garden. Nowadays it's quite cold outside, so we recently carried all her flowers and various plants inside the house and they require more care. I started to search for various websites where I could buy fertilizers. I noticed this company and decided to get acquainted with the assortment here. I liked couple of fertilizers and moreover my grandmother approved my choice, so I ordered them here and they were shipped pretty fast. I guess I will certainly apply here once again i nfuture when we will run out of these ones.

Quick service; plants arrived in great shape
March 24, 2021

I wanted some smallish plants to put in crevices in a stone wall and ordered six from Hirt's--santolina, thyme, sedum, and a lavender (the last an experiment). The plants were shipped the next day, arrived in a few days via USPS. I was surprised at how carefully the plants were packed--all were in great shape. I can only recommend.

This seller sent me a vase and bulb set for Christmas. The vase came chipped and physically damaged. Seller agreed to refund (reluctantly after demanding several photos) and then claimed he never got the returned item. Funny... This happened after I left an honest review about his nasty customer service. Mr. Hirt changes the terms of his own policy in order to take people's hard earned money. Then he has the audacity to admit he will re-sell my damaged vase which he claims not to have! Do NOT make the mistake I did. He should be revomed from all big online merchants. The merchant I chose sided with Mr. Hirt so I'm pretty sure he pays them off. WARNING HORRIBLE LYING SELLER!

I received the order of two cream Veranda Rose and English Lavender plants timely. They were packed well and healthy however the plants seem smaller than described; they were much smaller than what I can buy from my Home Depot for similar prices. I would not order from this online garden site again.

Had placed 2 orders with them so far and both time packaging is horrible. Soil was inside the box EVERYWHERE and what's even worse the plant got damaged! Was thinking maybe the first time was an isolated case so decided to give them 2nd chance well they sure blown it! Won't buy any plants from them again.

Bought bonsai plants from Hirts through Amazon. We're not as described. Went through a lengthy and torturous email conversation and even sent photos of the plants. They refused to acknowledge their error. Thankfully Amazon issued a full refund. Will never buy from Hirts again!

Pricing

Why do you keep price gouging the Bonnie spider plant? I have it tacked to my cellphone on my back wall because I wanted to purchase it. Everytime I bring it up it's $22, then it's $9, then it's $20, then it's $8.50, so I did not bother purchasing a plant, because you're up and down with the price I don't understand why it doesn't say one price. You certainly are not consistent oh, so I ordered it elsewhere.

I've ordered 4 Monkey Puzzle Plants worth $81.45 sometime last week. Got an email saying it on the way, USPS said *******@front door. It wasn't there when I looked, contact Hirts (Alan Hirt) wrote back; "contact your local post office and ask them where they delivered you package. Also talk with your local carrier." I did all that, the USPS asked me to contact the buyer... now I am frustrated! I wrote back asking please delivery my plants on the side door, DO NOT *******@the front door. This what I got back "sorry, you will have to deal with USPS, they say they delivered the package!" When is this my problem...? I am mad, angry and frustrated... what the F

I'll have to dispute my charged unless I get my apology and my plants... it's $81.45 not cheap!

Fraudulent Charges

Someone stole my credit card info and ordered from this store, I contacted the store and they refused to refund my money because I did not have an order number or the full name/shipping address of the order. How would I have this info if I didn't make the order? LOL

Wrong items
July 20, 2020

I recieved the wrong color of umbrella plant and the complete wrong plant of another. 3 emails, 1 was an opps sent without a text. I got a response to only that one saying what is this about. I have sent a message on their order web site as well. Horrible customer service. The quality of the plants were great. The packing was great. The shipping was fast but when I spend $130 I expect to be appreciated!
