I had purchased an indoor fountain. The pump broke after 6 months, and one month after warranty expired. I was very disappointed. I had to go out and buy a new pump at a store and Hayneedle reimbursed me for the pump I had to purchase. I am an absolute believer in the honor and integrity of this company. Very grateful and now a loyal customer!
Bought cabinets that came damaged, they wont pick up to return this is crazy, I CAN SHIP BACK AT 55 LBS EACH AND BRING MYSELF, NOT GOOD COMPANY NOR CUSTOMER SERVICE
I purchased almost $1200 worth of outdoor furniture from Hayneedle in the middle of March. I was told a few days later, by the freight company, that the furniture never made it to them. They said it was lost. I contacted Hayneedle who told me to wait 72 BUSINESS HOURS before they would know anymore information. That's 2 weeks. Ridiculous! I called again today to have Hayneedle either ship me out a new set of furniture I already paid for, or give me a full refund. They refused to ship out furniture and told me a refund would be difficult because the order was "closed". I have an open case with the BBB and have already rejected the charge on my credit card. FRAUD FRAUD FRAUD FRAUD FRAUD.
We are so sorry to hear that part of your order was lost during transit. A full refund was processed. We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused the customer.
I ordered a composter and rain barrel. When shipment arrived, only half of the order showed up. The box was badly damaged and no protection for item inside. It looked like it was loosely taped. There was a chemical spill on the item. The rain barrel was not with order with no explanation. When I called the company their supplier said it was on back order and not sure when it would arrive.?!
Ordered a Dining Hutch/Buffet and Credenza for $2,200. The bumbling delivery company hired to deliver the 2 pieces ran a fork lift through the Dining Hutch. Had to call Hayneedle to send it back. Why? The shipping carton was 2 flimsy boxes (one on top, one on bottom - taped together in the center). Oh, the styrofoam is just a hair over a 1/2 inch to protect this expensive piece. Called Eagle Furniture and asked who packages this furniture using materials weaker than a shoebox? Got dead air response. Eagle Furniture proudly states they are an American company, I told them then to package their expensive furniture like an American company should! Yesterday, the replacement Dining Hutch/Buffet arrives. Deliveryman says his instructions are leave at the door an 85" inch tall furniture piece. What happened to my "room of choice" Hayneedle guaranteed me room of choice. Not according to him. It shows up packaged in a similar fashion with 2 small cartons (top and bottom) taped together in the middle to partially keep them together. More of the flimsy 1/2 inch styrofoam used sparingly by Eagle Furniture. Remember this was a $2,200 order. Laurel & Hardy delivery company get a '0' review, Hayneedle a '2 star' review, and Eagle Furniture company a '-1' review for claiming to be a proud American company.
Thank you so much for bringing this issue to our attention and being able to provide you with an acceptable solution.
I ordered a piece of furniture that I had to assemble. The large wooden piece serving as the top has a massive crack in it. Assembled the rest as I had little time later to do it and hoped for just that one piece to be sent and then quickly add it. Instead they sent a whole new box. And the color didn't match at all. So wasn't useable and I didn't like the color as much. Wasn't going to reassemble a whole new piece and dismantle the other. Customer service somewhat helpful, but will never order again when they can't deliver a good product. Instructions had one major error in them (or someone put the lettered stickers in the wrong spot). Once I spoke with customer service about a problem I was having getting the drawer slides and she was not trained on it and could only read the same directions I had. I needed to release the drawer from the slide. I figured it out and told her what to do so she'd be able to actually help people in the future. Frustrating first experience and will never buy from them again.
Ordered a pair of out door curtains, paid and waited and waited for the order to arrive. Each one arrived in a different package and one had cream strip and the other had bright white stripe. Never even opened the bag - called customer service and told 30 minute wait so I got comfortable, after 20 minutes they hung up on me. Left a message through the return notice service and never heard anything back. But to return you have to pay to ship back. So they made a mistake and I paid for it. Its back in the mail and waiting on my credit! But found the same thing at Amazon, quicker shipping, and cheaper price. My first and last try with Hayneedle and they don't seem to care.
Great prices on quality products, shipped quickly. Tracking provided at no extra cost. I had a great experience with them and will shop with them again
This is wonderful to hear, thank you so much for sharing your experience.
I would give zero stars if possible. This company is a huge ripoff. We bought a canopy bed and paid an extra $150 for their "white glove delivery." The company that was supposed to deliver the bedframe had a "truck breakdown" so they didn't show up until 8:30PM when their normal window was (1pm-5pm) upon arrival, the company unboxed and wished us well putting it together... we were like "uhh no that's what we paid you for." we then find out that the "white glove delivery' that we paid extra for only includes a set up on things with "no tools." AS the representative points out, that it is explained in bullet points under more delivery info which you have to knowingly click on. It is not clearly stated on the website under delivery options. Why say they will build something that takes "no tools" as a perk? As the representative told me..."oh, they only do things that take no tools like putting a mirror on a table." Are you kidding me? How are you a furniture store if you don't put things together? Stay away from this company, they have no customer service skills. They are a joke and will argue with you regarding wording on a website instead of actually helping to resolve the issue.
We apologize for any inconvenience your delivery has caused you. Complete product assembly is not part of our White Glove delivery services. The delivery personnel are not trained in furniture assembly nor do they have the necessary tools. Our White Glove delivery service is described on our site, stating:
White Glove Delivery provides everything you could want and more when it comes to convenience. In addition to unloading, hauling, and placing the item in your room of choice, additional services such as unboxing, packaging removal, and limited item setup* are included as well.
I purchased 13 bags of Caribbean Rocks each one weighed 30 lbs. Most of them all cracked.
They were used as a border around the edge of the lawn. No one walked on them. I could not return them because it was passed the 30 day return policy and besides that, it would not have been practical to ship 390 lbs of rocks back to them. It would have cost me more than I paid for them.
They refunded me a total of $5.42. I am a senior citizen on disability & had to hire someone to do this project which only escalated the cost.
I think other consumers should be made aware of the problems with this product.DO NOT BUY IT!
We are so sorry to hear about the product issue and are looking into this further and will follow-up with you.
I ordered 2 items via Walmart website. Both came damaged. I contacted both companies with pics and details. Here is what happened.
1st item from Hayneedle: "Sadly, due to restrictions on Marketplace orders, we are unable to offer partial refunds. So our first option would be for you to keep this as is." Continues to say I can return and reorder.
2nd item from "Best Deals and Bargains": "Sorry for the damaged item. We are sending a replacement with better packaging today. The tracking is USPS # "
Which would you prefer to do business with?

My wife has ordered from Hayneedle a couple times and never had any problems/issues. Recently, Feb. 8,2018, I ordered a sewing table for her thru Hayneedle. The item arrived three days before it was due! Ok, this was a first for any product we have ever ordered from anyone. Great!
The item itself had sustained minor damage in no less than 10 areas due to packing punctures. Shipped through Fedex we were not surprised but were very disappointed. We have had this problem with Fedex deliveries, i. E., beat up packages.
However, the problem began with the manufacturer, South Shore Furniture. They did not securely package the item to help prevent damage in case of package puncturing.
Hayneedle customer service gets an A+ for handling our product problem. A more than 50% refund is being processed. We think this is very generous. The assembled item will stay here. Difficulty of returning a 144lb., box of MDF pieces was too much. We will ignore the minor damage.
The product from South Shore Furniture (see my review here) had missing parts, some vagueness in assembly instructions, cabinet drawers out of square and ill fitting in the cabinet structure, holes not drilled and so forth.
This is their issue NOT Hayneedle. If anything I encourage customers/readers to NOT buy South Shore products. One of their customer service reps basically "blew off" our attempt to help them with packaging feedback. We essentially got the middle finger over the phone. True.
We will order again but next time fully research the product manufacturer's rep before purchase.
Thank you so much for taking the time and sharing your experience Elon.
This was the dirtiest thing to do to make me look bad. A colleague of mine, just had a baby, our company sends out gift baskets for newborns. I decided to give Hayneedle a shot. When checking out, it asked for the Recipient's Email Address which I thought was odd, but maybe for tracking. I enter in the Recipient Address, then it asks if the Billing Address / Sender's info is different. Yes, I enter all of my info, but it doesn't ask for email address. I complete the purchase to find out that they sent the receipt to the recipient. How dumb is that?!
I called in to Customer Support, the woman I spoke with apologized, and said they're aware. I asked for them to send me the receipt and she said she was getting done work and that I had to call back to speak with someone else. Why the hell did you answer the phone then?! Worst frick'n place to do business with.
Please never has business with them. They never send item, veryyyyyyyyyy rude coustomer service, never say sorry, and charge extra money,. I put my card number and relise that they charge from me money, but I dont bought from them that day anything
This is a terrible company. We ordered a vanity set for our daughter and they sent us two of the same side mirrors and a lot of the wood was scratched. Obviously they sent us a used one. When we contacted them for a replacement set they offered us a $20 credit to go purchase a new piece with another store. Well $20 isn't going to get us very far and when we asked to return the set for a refund (at this point, after 6 emails, it wasn't worth arguing with them) they ignored our request and 4 more emails later we still have not gotten a response back. Now we are sitting here with a box full of wood that we can't use and our daughter is without her Christmas present. Terrible company, with terrible customer service. Don't waste your money!
We purchased a dining room table in early December to celebrate Christmas with the entire family around. We were assured delivery by Christmas. On December 19th, EFW left an automated message that the delivery would occur between 1-5pm on December 21st. I took off from work and waited. At 8pm, I called EFW and were told the local freight delivery runs behind. I call daily between the 21st and 24th. Each time EFW tried to reach the local delivery and no one answered the phone or email. Christmas came and went with no dining room table. Our family christmas (my uncles's last, btw) was spent around folding tables. I continued to call daily and same thing, the delivery does not answer EFW. I called Hayneedle, was told they would get this resolved. More days passed. Its now January 3rd, we've now had Christmas and New Years without the table to eat at as a family. I am furious and do not know if this will EVER arrive. I am never ever ever ordering from this company again and making sure everyone I know and all of my social media connections hear about this horrific experience.
On December 4th, I purchased a bean bag chair for my granddaughter for Christmas. It was estimated that the delivery will take place on December 18th. Since it wasnt delivered on 18 or 19th, I called the customer service. The representative couldnt give me any explanation for the delay and said that he will send some emails inquiring about my order status. The next day, December 20th, (sixteen days after my order was placed) I received a tracking email from Hayneedle. The order was delivered two days after Christmas on December 27th. When I called back customer service asking for some explanation, I was told: sorry, we will refund $10 to your card. Well, $10 dollars for ruining Christmas for one little girl and her grandparents seem like an excellent solution! Bravo Hayneedle!
Ordered an art table for my daughter and while assembling noticed it was missing one screw... just one. Called customer service number listed on instructions, and the rep informed me they could not send me a replacement screw. I even offered to pay for it, but no such luck.
The company later reached out to me, and offered an excellent solution.
Ordered hot tub 7 weeks ago and still not here! Ordered "room of choice" delivery option but the tub was shipped via a carrier that does not offer this option. Also Hayneedle called me about 8 times in a 48 hour period stating somehow they did not capture payment and I had to go back online and re-place the order - seriously? I replaced order but still have not received my purchase nor have I received an update on the resolution of the delivery issue. I will never order anything from this website that I cannot carry into my house myself!
I ordered a fire pit on December 10th. My order said it would arrive by the 22nd and as I write this, it says it is arriving today, the 22nd. When I tracked the package through Fed-Ex, it says the order was cancelled on the 12th. Thankfully I did get a hold of someone at Hayneedle and turns out these were never in stock, yet my credit card was charged and no one bothered to call and tell me I would never receive the fire pit. So, now on Dec 22nd, I am left without a gift. Very Very disappointed!
Answer: We are sorry to hear this, Margie. If you have an order number (it may be on the box as a reference number) or the tracking number, we would be able to take a look and see how we can assist you with this umbrella. Thank you for reaching out to us.
Answer: My mom just got a similar email - guessing that it is a scam - shes going to contact paypal
Answer: Every time I ordered these glasses, they came in a well-padded with good bubble-wrap box. The box itself was very strong, too.
