I ordered a medium size pizza with sausage & mushrooms to be picked up by me. The cost was $25.89 with tax 27.96! I could not cancel. When I picked it up classic pizza advised never use Yelp as it directs orders to Grub Hub and their surcharge is outrageous.
Grubhub is ok provided you're not hungry. Thats because it hit or miss if you receive the food or not. I get delivery confirmations with a pic that shows they left my food at the wrong house. And Thanksgiving dinner was charged, but they cancelled my order 2 hours before dinner time. We had soup. Hit or miss. Just realize that and don't plan holiday meals using them!
On 10/16 my GrubHub driver delivered my food to the wrong location. I have been trying to get a refund for a month and GrubHub has not been helpful. They say the refund has been issued but it is not in my bank account. They asked me to call my bank and even my bank says the refund has not been issued. I have spent hundreds of dollars on GrubHub and this is it for me. I will use Uber Eats from now on. GrubHub is NOT helpful at all.
I've been waiting 1 hour, 45 minutes since ordering. It was supposed to be here an hour ago. Every time I checked, it was another 30 minutes. Eventually, it was cancelled without any reason. Orders are repeatedly delivered to the wrong address, most recent one I contacted their chat where I was disconnected then chat was unable to be reopen after to try to speak to someone else. I had to call in and was offered a promo code that was broken up so I couldn't use the entire amount towards the promo.
They over charge by an incredible amount I spent 60 dollars I went to same restaurant and only spent 23 in person they add charges to menu cost. They also don't deliver all items purchased They forget things all the time I highly recommend not using them totally not worth it
They refused to give me a refund after the driver left my food at the wrong house. Then told me food would be delivered 40 minutes after the original delivery time. Then I was sent another notice that the delivery would be another 40 minutes late. I had to wait 3 hours for my food and all they could offer was a $5 grubhub credit. The worst customer service.
I got a violent grubhub delivery guy who sent us threatening texts when we asked him not to leave our food on the floor, which he did. I sent the texts to GRUBHUB and they IGNORED the email. There is almost always a huge delay with delivery and the food is no longer hot upon delivery, if delivered at all.
They supposed to update the current driver for pick up time and delivery...in many occasions they send the pick up order late and if the driver pick up late automatically the delivery will late...if that the driver that recieve the order and late drop. Grubhub will send a violation... Everytime you contact them and ask why I am getting violation for the late and which delivery they have no knowledge on which delivery was late... It is not fair for driver to get the violation if the order was send out late.
Always either very late or missing an important item doordash is a lot better what kind of incompetents are running this business
Limited restaurant options and the delivery is never on time. It's always delayed for more than an hour from their initial delivery time.

In the last 3 weeks 2 orders have been cancelled and 1 order the driver left my food on the ground outside without even ringing the intercom for me to get the food even though I specified to text me if the driver didn't want to come up. Also they take the money out of your account right away but you have to wait to receive your money back. Wow I got a $5.00 credit for next order. I placed my original order at 5:30 and now it's 7pm. I'm just so disappointed in Grub Hub.

So we have had issues before but decided to give it one last try. We ordered food for delivery because we had two people in the house injured this having food delivered to the door was a must.
We watched as the driver arrived at the restaurant… then watched as the driver who was supposed to be on his way go in the opposite direction… they actually went as far the wrong way as it was to deliver. I texted asking if the drivers had multiple deliveries and why they were heading the wrong direction. A few minutes later they turned around heading back towards our home. Then when they finally get there they call asking us to come to them.
We had explicitly put in directions on how to use the call box in front of the complex and how to get to the right door. Then the driver tells us he can't speak or read English. Hmmm then how is he driving in LA? So the least injured person has to go down to him to retrieve the meal. The order looked like it had been on a rollercoaster oozing out of the containers from the hectic ride.
DO NOT USE GRUBHUB if you want your food delivered in one piece, delivered warm and delivered at all.
Never again. My experience with Grubhub was infuriating. My order kept getting delayed, and I ended up waiting for hours. When I contacted customer service, they initially offered me a measly $5 credit towards my next order. After persistently requesting a refund and for my order to arrive promptly, I was transferred to a supervisor named Loren M. She kept gradually increasing the credit offer up to $20–in between, stating "$10 is our max." During our conversation, there was a back-and-forth about a credit vs. a refund. I made it clear that I wanted a refund, not just a credit for a future order. Initially, despite my repeated requests for a refund, Loren M. Continued to insist on offering credits. She eventually stated she would issue the refund of $20, then seconds later said she sent a credit—neither of which, ever occurred. Additionally during this back and forth, she stated initially I could not cancel my order. Even though I had already told her repeatedly, I did not want my order cancelled. Loren then flips the script once again stating she's not going to issue a refund or credit, at all. While we're discussing the latest inconsistency, I get a notification that Grubhub cancelled my order. She cancelled my order, without my consent, denied even cancelling it, and when challenged with the fact I was just notified of such, she admitted it was cancelled but shifted the blame to the person I initially spoke with—her subordinate. This entire ordeal, with now no food and no delivery options open in the area at 9 pm, left me furious. It was probably the worst customer service experience I've ever encountered, especially in dealing with a supposed supervisor. I made it clear that I would escalate this matter to Grubhub's highest levels and share my experience publicly. And I will continue on in that regard until something is done.
Ordered from them because I was frustrated with others, hoping this would be better. I found what i wanted and added it to my cart, instead of 'confirming my order," they said Placed Order, on its way. Ummm, ok. Said it was going to be 45 minutes from a place literally about 5 minutes away. Then showed me the delivery fee... almost twice the other charges of the others. There was a button, "we got your back." if you find a place to deliver cheaper, let us know and we will match the price... Great. You have to post a picture of your receipt from the other company - so you want me to order it again and pay again so I can show you a receipt? Umm, no. So I called and waited on the phone for 14 minutes, while they 1. Couldnt find my order - O now we found it. 2. said I still had time on my delivery... I was NOT saying it was Late... did you even listen to me? Waited another 11 minutes for them to verify what I was saying for the past almost now 30 minutes. NOW, here comes the driver with my order... LMAO. So, I was upset, so I just hung up - knowing i would not use them again. Then I get a call back - O well give us 30 days to verify your order that you found it cheaper somehwere else. Really, 30 days? You KNOW I am right and you are just simply a SNAKE like all the others. So, now I am done with them to. IE: cook food and bring lunch because there are just NO GOOD delivery services out there.
Have ordered multiple times in multiple times the restaurants have left out food this time they left the meat off of one sandwich so I did a review on it then when I started to eat the other sandwich, the chicken and it was still frozen so I don't even know if it was cooked could not reach Grubhub Because once you review it you can't go back
Grub Hub should give the customers full refund and dock the driver who messed up. I live 12 min from a restaurant and waited 2 hours for dead cold food. An hour of that was my driver going in the complete opposite direction for what I assume was another order drop. Simultaneous orders so far from each other should not be allowed to be assigned to a single driver. I have nothing against using a microwave but regarding this order, the fried app would become soggy, the cream soup separates into a poor consistency, and the beef overcooks and becomes gamey. The only thing edible was a scoop of potatoes. Refund denied (probably because I got one once already) but I have been using their service for a very long time, have had other issues but never this bad and/or I didn't find it necessary to raise those particular concerns. But tonight, I was lied to by the chat rep Jose DD and then rudely cut off when I expressed dismay at the measly refund. So I'm the end, I am now out $35 for a scoop of mashed potatoes.
