Listed 3 locations of our restaurant on GrubHub. The customer service is the worst I've ever experienced. They will just keep telling you that you need to speak with another department or that you need to email. Then they never respond to the emails. I tried to cancel the service and get our stores taken off, nobody ever responded. After multiple calls and emails for weeks, I just put our restaurant hours as closed all the time. Worst company ever. Please don't give them your money. There are so many better services.
I wanted to send a food gift to members of an office staff. I chose to send a dozen bagels to an office staff in Langehorne, PA because they were so helpful to my office staff in York, PA. I completed the Grubhub web order information multiple times, only to have credit card information I put there rejected (multiple times with different cards). I suspect that the Grubhub site likely takes the name you show as the "contact" and assumes that it's the person ordering and hence also assumes that it is the credit card holder name, then credit card is rejected because the contact name is not the credit card holder name. Reason for rejection of good cards is an assumption, but given that the cards work fine everywhere except Grubhub, I can only believe that it is the reason. Grubhub needs to find someone that website development experience to do their sites and include a way to include correct cardholder names if items are being sent as gifts (Again, assuming that is the reason for rejection).
I had ordered some food, waited for over an hour and was notified that it had been delivered. It had not been delivered, driver wouldn't answer messages or calls. I contacted customer service and was denied my money back. Had to call back twice before being told it would be 3-5 days before refund. GRUBHUB IS TRASH
How could the grubhub driver bring my food to the wrong apartment room twice? I feel sorry for the restaurant... They did the right thing... The quality of the service of grubhub is unreliable... I won't use it again.
Delivered raw chicken to me in a bag dripping with spilled sauce. Wanted to give me a credit to my GH account at a FRACTION of what the order was. I asked for the chicken order to be comped, since it was raw and could've made us very sick, and the delivery fee waived since it was spilled in transit; I asked for this in the form of a refund, rather than a credit. They didn't budge and said this type of complaint isn't eligible for a refund. Closing my account today.
I was gifted a surprise birthday treat from my daughter in law. I had no idea a delivery was being made to me and was not home when I recieved a text from a drug hub delivery person saying they were at my door.
I live in a secured building so the delivery person was not able to enter the complex. I then called the delivery person's phone and told her she would need to return the treat to the bakery and I would retrieve it later.
When I went to the bakery later they said no one had returned any products.
So the only thing I can think of is that Angel the grub hub delivery person ate my birthday treat.
I will never trust another grub hub delivery person because you never know if they will be honest. I'll just pick my orders up myself.
Excellent concept, but it needs refinement. In the last three months or so, I have had problems with nine orders out of maybe 20 or 30 orders. On seven of those orders, there was a missing item, usually a drink. This usually happens with fast-food restaurants like Taco Bell, Wendy's, Burger King, or McDonald's. If you call or chat with them in the app, they always give you a refund though. They have never charged me for a meal they never delivered, unlike UberEats which has permanently lost my business. Missing items still happen too often. They usually lowball the delivery times when you make an order, but the order is usually delivered within an hour. On the other two occasions, Varino's Pasta immediately cancelled my order, once in January and once in March. If they are not taking orders through GrubHub, they should not be listed on there.
On tonight's order I ordered from O'Shaughnessy's. The muffin was $2.25, the fried mushrooms with marinara were $6.80, the sales tax was $1.00, the delivery fee was $4.99, the service fee was $4.01, and the tip for the driver was $6.48 (total $25.53). All of the fees more than doubled the cost of the meal. This is typical for GrubHub orders. I make similar breakdowns in my other restaurant reviews. I don't mind sales tax or a tip for the driver, but I should not have to pay delivery or service fees. This is on top of the 30% GrubHub charges the restaurant. The cost of delivery is borne by the driver, not the restaurant or GrubHub. These outrageous fees are causing GrubHub to lose orders and are squeezing restaurants during this economic crisis. I have noticed that many of the restaurants are no longer offering drinks to order with the meals. I guess they got tired of giving refunds for all the missing drinks. I don't know why it is so hard to remember to include a drink that somebody ordered, but evidently it is.
Was provided a gift card and it was immediately compromised. Grubhub said it was associated with another account. Emailed and called for weeks and no action taken. They don't care at all about customers complaints so don't bother with the service. Ed Toner
What kind of company is Grub Hub to hire drivers that steal from a 96 yo Mother in a nursing home?
I am in Florida ordered a pizza from Tripoli Pizza in Methuen Mass. The pizza was supposed to be delivered at 4:30pm, I got a text that said it's delayed and now they would deliver it at 5pm. I called my Mother at 6pm the pizza was still not there. The staff at the nursing home walked all the way around the building anyway, nothing anywhere. Everyone agreed it was stolen!
Called Tripoli pizza they said it was picked up. Tripoli called driver said he dropped it off at the back door. What!
The driveway pulls right up to the front door with a BIG sign that says ENTRANCE. Why would a driver drive all the way around back and leave it at a deserted loading dock. The answer he wouldn't, he didn't.
He stole the pizza! I am sure it's not the first time he did it. Why would Grub Hub keep a driver that steals!
BTW Tripoli Pizza has great pizza and they offered to make add more to the order if we order again. They also said that Grub Hub drivers do this all the time and Uber Eats is even worse.
There are two houses on the property. Most of the time nobody is home at the first house. They didn't call and tell me they were here and left the food at an empty house.
Bad enough you institute a delivery charge to the order (WHICH I STRONGLY SUSPECT IS A GRATUITY TIP IN ITSELF)
Then you people really have the balls to ask us to include a tip.
Then there are times the delivery takes over an hour and I usually get some foreign driver not very versed in English when you tell them tip is on the card they looked confused and acted like I stiffed them.
Delivery people need to be more helpful and professional AND PROPERLY SPEAK AND UNDERSTAND THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE
Just like all th other reviews my experience was horrible. They canceled my order 40 minutes after I placed it. Kind of screwed me there.
I'm happy to use services the help me get my food ordered or delivered. But Grubhub has been the ONE service that has continuously failed us. Took the order and our money, then we arrive to pick-up and no order came through to the restaurant. We order for delivery and it takes more than two hours for what's typically 45-60 minutes. Users beware!
Never delivered a meal that was ordered and when I contacted customer service they were of no help other than say it was a "glitch" on their end.
Every time I order from Grubhub I never get my drink and my food is always cold. I always see my food is sitting for an hour before it's picked up and drivers don't check orders at all. I've had drivers steal my drinks and tell me it's in the bag. Grubhub has no customer support number and if your order is messed up you SOL if you were really hungry. They won't refund instantly like DoorDash. You have to wait a full week or longer for refunds. Overall this is the worst food delivery service out there. I've had more issues with them than any other service. They will give you 10 credits but you have to spend 25 or more. $#*! Grubhub and the red horse it came in on. Drivers are thieves and they don't give two $#*!s if you get all your food or not but demand a tip before delivery. I will never order from them ever again.

I ordered dinner from a local Chinese food restaurant which in and of itself is work because the grubhub app is garbage. I waited an hour for my dinner. I received a text message telling me that my food was in front of my door. NOPE! Keep in mind that I have ordered from this restaurant through grubhub multiple times! Anyway I called customer service who said she would refund my money. I told her that she wasn't going to do any such thing. That she was going to stop being lazy and call the driver and get me my!@#$ing food! That got me nowhere. So I called the number that I got texted from and spoke to the delivery driver personally. I asked him that when he arrived at the address and realized that it was an apartment complex (my order clearly stated which building I was in) did it ever occur to him to call the telephone number provided and clarify? Clearly it did not because that would actually require him to use his brain and put forth a little effort! He blatantly refused to correct his mistake. I had to explain to him that I don't even know how to wrap my head around his kind of stupidity! I then checked my debit card and these lovers only gave me a PARTIAL CREDIT! Maaann they done picked the wrong one on the wrong day!
Could not make first delivery time, second delivery time or third delivery time. They finally just canceled saying sorry something went wrong.
To bad I had to give them at least one star. They need to change the name to Suckhub.
I am just done. I have tried to use Grubhub for over a year. Most orders are cancelled after a long period of time after you order. Tipping on the order or tipping in cash doesn't matter. There is something fundamentally wrong with Grubhub's money stealing model. If I am paying a MASSIVE 20% fee before tip to have your deliver and you cancel 30 minutes after the order... What the hell are we doing. This company must die. It is the worst. Terrible to no service at the most expensive price and you still have to tip to get a delivery from a place 1/8 of a mile away. So I've ordered today would have been my 4th time. Was so pleased with the service the first 3 times I signed up for the $10 monthly. After the service received today account DELETED and I'll go back to my DoorDash or UberEats. They are unprofessional and rude customer service representatives. The first one I spoke to booted me out my account. Lol... Yes I'm not expecting this company to be around much longer. The second representative hung up when i was asking a question. These people are Sad.
