WORST Service Ever

I placed three different orders through Grubhub and every order placed was cancelled without explanation. Placed orders through a competitor and never had a single issue.

Grubhub did not say postmates bought them so because of that i had to pay double orders. Will never use Grubhub that now is postmates.

Unbelievable

I feel sorry for the delivery drivers on Grub Hub. They routed one of my orders to the restaurant in the city adjacent mine (35 minutes away). The driver had to go 35 minutes out, then 35 minutes back just to get my fat $#*! the order. This should not even be possible on their website. Sure, I am responsible for not confirming the proper business location, but it has never happened to me on any other food delivery app. I will never use Grub Hub again.

Second time that an order arrived on time, but the completely wrong order. How does that happen? Postmates gets it right. Getting a refund is the minimum, but when you have a group of people at your house waiting for dinner this RUINS your night. In a time of COVID even more disheartening. Do not use GrubHub!,

At 2PM I ordered a meal that cost well over $100 and asked for delivery at 6:30 PM. At 6:00 I was told it would be delivered at 7:08 PM, a few minutes later. My order was cancelled and they said the restaurant was out of an item, Hello? Can someone call me and ask me to make another selection. Their chat said the driver calls in the order and picks it up so the driver know about this. Now it is too late for me to get another dinner. I will never use Grubhub again.

So I placed another order with GrubHub today and again was sadly disappointed by both driver and Customer Service. The driver was pleasant and followed instructions on where to deliver my items this time BUT she never called to tell me that the restaurant didn't have the items I ordered and to ask how I wanted to proceed. Instead someone decided for me and gave me replacement items of THEIR choice. The driver waited until she arrived to tell me. I asked if I was to be refunded for the items I ORDERED and never received and she said "I don't know, you have to call GrubHub to find out." I then called Customer Service, who initially looked at my short lived order history for the two previous orders that both went horribly awry and proceeded to tell me they were unable to help me because I had been refunded on too many orders)! Insinuating I was trying to get free food because I was asking for refunds for the food I didn't receive on those last 2 orders. Keep in mind this is only my third order with them. So I interject before they can complete the sentence- because I'm good at interrupting and ask them what is their internal process when items are not available for an order. I was advised that either the driver is to contact them directly and they will contact the customer or the driver should contact the customer directly to advise and to ask if they would like a substitution or to cancel those items from the order. Neither of which happened in my case. They did refund two of the items from my order that weren't received and after my boyfriend opened up his order he realized that was also not what he ordered. At that point he was like forget it don't even bother calling back. So I canceled my free 60-day membership that they had given me to compensate for the last two orders that were botched up and I will no longer do business with them. Fool me once shame on you fool me twice shame on me. Goodbye GrubHub you look better gone. Maybe you will have better luck than me in your area but as for me I am 110% done with GrubHub. They deserve 0 starz..

Update: Grub hub has tried to make amends with 60 days of free GrubHub and $10 off my next order. Ive changed their rating to 3 stars due to the effort on their end but not higher as what happens from here remains to be seen.

I Placed an order today with GrubHub and I will never use them again! Driver had detailed instructions on where to meet me when delivering. He did not follow any instructions. Food was left on the front porch of apartment building where anyone could have picked it up and walked away with it And one of the items was missing from my order. I immediately called GrubHub Customer Service who refunded me for the item and had me place a second order for which they removed the fees so I would only pay the actual cost of the item, which was appreciated. For which I would have to wait another hour for my order. Nothing offered in the way of compensation for customer satisfaction by the way. I decided to contact the restaurant to see if perhaps the driver had left my item on a delivery counter. I was then advised that the item was out of stock and they told the driver that and even wrote it on his receipt so that he wouldn't forget to tell me that it was out of stock and was therefore unavailable. As he left the food on the front porch and drove off, I never actually got a chance to speak with him in person to find this out. I called GrubHub Customer Service again for assistance and they apologized and refunded me for the second order for said item and noted their system about the driver's behavior and apologized for the inconvenience. I asked if there was anything they could do for me to compensate for this extreme inconvenience and horrendous experience with GrubHub and they said there was nothing further they could do. It's a shame that GrubHub believes Customer Service is not something they're willing to pay much for, so they outsource to a foreign country for it and do not empower said agents with the tools they need to not only resolve an issue but turn it around to create a satisfied customer that will still continue to do business with them. News flash-when you treat your customers like trash and you lose your customers you lose your business. I do not recommend GrubHub at all.

Finally gave up...

I've been using Grubhub for about eight years and noticed a general decline in quality of the service. From having wrong info on menus to wrong hours for restaurants to other errors. Plus, their service fees have been getting more expensive. Recently it seems like one out of three or four orders ends up being canceled for some reason. It's annoying to wait for an hour or more only to get a notice saying your order was cancelled. This morning I waited 1 1/2 hours and and just had an order canceled. I contacted them and asked for more than just a refund. They refused. So, I cancelled my account and am leaving negative reviews.

I don't often leave negative reviews. The last time I wrote a negative review was for a Veternarian who wanted to euthanize my cat even though after taking her for a second opinion I found out she still had many more weeks to comfortably live. So, I'm not one to complain over trivial annoyances. Seriously,. Grubhub has become absolutely terrible. Do not waste your time and money with them.

Terrible

The first time I used Grub hub, the driver said my order was at the door. It wasn't. I attempted to contact the driver who didn't answer his phone or text. I called customer service who refunded my money. Later, an hour later, my neighbor came by and had my meal, which I threw away. I remembered a couple of months ago my neighbors ordered from the same restaurant using Grub hub and they left it at my door. Unfortunately I didn't see it until the next day. I won't use them again.

I've never had a issue with grubhub til now. I ordered 2 hours ago through the app and 2 hours later i get a notification saying delivered but it wasn't at my door, before this i tried contacting the driver he never replied back to me then seeing he never delivered it i was highly pissed off i called the customer service line and complained and was told i was lying that it shows he delivered it when he didn't my apartment complex has a gate that requires a gate code to get in i never put the code in the instructions because i wanna make sure the driver will show up when i never got a call or text like i normally do i was worried now after a high escalation with customer service i did get my refund and a small discount but that's doesn't prove the fact that that driver (David his name was) should be fired or something needs to be done because he stole my food this is bs and after this im not sure if we want to order through grubhub ever again!

WORST SERVICE EVER! DONT USE IT!
WORST SERVICE EVER! Never order from here. Every time I ordered my food would be over an hour late. I have had drivers randomly just cancel and not go pick up my order. Today I preordered food and a driver appeared and than disappeared. My time was delayed twice and than no driver was appearing to get my order and I had already been waiting for an hour and a half. I chatted with grubhub and they told me my driver was on the way to my place and would arrive at 11:16. I still saw no driver and my order hadn't arrived so I messaged them again. They told me they would refund my order for the huge inconvenience and I said thank you and than they CANCELLED IT. I asked them why they would cancel my order and to te a driver to go pick it up. And the chat person told me he did it for my benefit and to just re order my food. I told him if I reordered I would have to wait another hour and to just give me my food and than he started ignoring me and wouldn't message me back. I have NEVER dealt with such a horrible experience and customer service. NEVER ORDER FROM HERE

How are they even still in business?

Grubhub is the absolute worst food delivery company out there. Every single time I order from them it is an issue! And they don't tell me it's an issue till after the restaurant is closed. I will never use them again even if they were the last delivery company on this planet!

I've tried multiple times to get simple orders and they never get my address correct, not one time. They always deliver to the wrong place and charge me. Then I have to go through the refund process. Waste of time.

They have you make food then once delivered they cancel order.
GrubHub Is a scam
Every week at least 10 cancelled orders after delivery of goods which the restaurant loses it profit.
Not to include deposits take a week for each day even with direct deposit.
Big scam company!

Since I can't write a review without assigning stars, I had to give them a one star. I wanted dinner delivered to my mother, a octogenarian widow, for Mother's Day. At the time the delivery was supposed to be at her house, I received a text saying it would be delayed an hour and forty minutes. Knowing that the restaurant would be closed prior to that time, I called the restaurant (that was getting ready to close), and they told me the driver was a no-show, so they had not made the food. Knowing this makes me wonder where in the heck the food was going to come from an hour and forty minutes later. I had already been charged on my credit card for the food and delivery, so had to call GrubHub for the cancellation and refund. While on the phone, the GrubHub rep said she would like to make it up to me by giving me a trial subscription for free delivery! Say what? Ridiculous. I'll never use GrubHub again and will make sure I post my review it everywhere I can!

I tried to order at five guy i started my order at 4:50 at 4:55 they said they was close which i called five guys and they said they dont close to 7:30 and than when i call to cancle my order they was rude they inconfindent they useless i wouldnt recommended them to anyone i would say whatever you do stay away from stupid $#*! grub hug rating actually - 20 stars

Tim done with them 4 orders this week, tacos were wet and meal was cold, Chinese food cold, burger cold, tacos wilted and wet on one side, 4 orders and all were left on a shelf, cold and EXPENSIVE

Never Again

After paying for a $36 order and receiving not one thing right on said order, the only refund given is for $9.60 for one missing product. Pot stickers ice cold. No sauces for any items. Missing orange chicken and no chow mein noodles. Refunded for only the missing egg rolls. The ENTIRE order was incorrect and we were not able to eat anything and GrubHub does absolutely nothing. The restaurant does nothing because it's gone through a third party but the third party doesn't do anything either. Your out almost $40 and have no food to eat... and their answer is "all we can refund is for the missing item". They don't even give you an option to get the food re delivered. I'll never use GrubHub ever again.

Driver called with a child translating to driver they were unable to find my house. I offered to meet them at another location. I was put on hold for over 5 minutes while the called "their boss". Call was disconnected and then I received an email my order was cancelled. This was a corporate gift and I will be informing my company to no longer use their service.
