A very bad mix. Sometimes the drivers follow your instructions, sometimes not and yet there are NO repercussions. Although we just had a driver deliver the food, they couldn't follow our BASIC instructions on the account to CALL when they arrived and RING DOORBELL. Real hard stuff there. Yet, they STILL get a decent tip?
I contact support, which is difficult and what do I get? Someone whose first language is NOT English and keeps using their pre-typed narratives in the hopes you will feel understood. NOPE, not when you are not sincere and NOT reading what I am typing but just plugging in the same sentence over and over again without TRULY understanding. More simple customer service stuff and driver/delivery etique out the window. HOPELESS.
Start using American, English speaking support and make repercussions for POOR drivers.
We ordered food from Aloha Poke through GrubHub in Chicago. The driver is very sloppy at best! He picked up the wrong order that was meant to be for Door Dash, and delivered that to us. The instructions was to call a number when arrived, he didn't. So, first we didn't know the order arrived, and had to went to check 30 mins later to find that the order is completely wrong. The driver is not only screwing us over, he screwed up the other delivery service, and Aloha Poke, who will have to make another order for the one that got delivered to us. BAD SERVICE!
First time ever using grubhub and the order my driver picked up was an Uber eats order with the same name but different spelling and it literally said UBEREATS on it when contacted they refunded me but did not offer to send the drive back to pick up my actual order. So I redid the online order. I tried to call the grubhub driver heading to the restaurant for my new order to let him know what had happened and to make sure he looks closely at the receipt when picking up he immediately ignored my call so I called the customer service line for grubhub. I told the lady I also wanted more than a refund for my inconvenience all she was offering me was 10% off of my next order. While on the phone my new order was being picked up. The guy went in, picked up (I got a text notification it was on the way) then he sat in the parking lot for 15 mins with my order after my pickup text message. I told the customer service rep on the phone and she tried to call him twice with no answer but assured me my food would be in the way. At that point I said just refund me for both purchases because my food is obviously going to arrive cold because he's just sitting there. Either way 7 more mins pass and I get a text from grubhub saying my order was cancelled and would no longer get delivered so not only did I order twice and both times do not get my food. I also spent an hour and a half of my time doing this that by the time I drove over to the restaurant myself they had actually closed.

Never using grubhub again I told her to keep the 10% off coupon she was trying to apply to my account and I told her to cash out my $20 gift card I applied to my account because their company is trash.
Forced to use GrubHub to order from NV Bakery in Waterford CT a big food order during the last hours of my father's life in a home hospice situation with family members gathered. Charged was immediately approved a process by Chase but order was put on hold by GrubHub "pending" a review from GrubHub. Total screw up by the non-professional company. If they can't handle internet orders they shouldn't be in the business.
GrubHub collected money for a fraudulent charity that they no longer vouch for. Called customer service and they were completely unprofessional and unhelpful. I had put to donate a dollar and they took $40! The entire dollar amount for the order I had put in. GrubHub is culpable for collecting the money. They allowed and advertised a scam charity on their app and are refusing to reimburse me my money.
I had to deliver to a customer that called me two minutes before his delivery address and change it to his home address and then when I got to the customers house the application on my phone would not allow me to change it to delivered or arrived so I had to call customer care and told them the whole situation and somehow I made the customer service person so mad that they changed my delivery region from Spokane Washington to Anchorage Alaska they changed my earnings to -280 and they canceled my delivery card. I have called customer care for the last 3 days to get my region changed back from Anchorage Alaska to Spokane and I can't get anyone of any any I just cannot get any supervisor any anyone to help me this job is crazy
If there's a problem with your order, good luck finding anyone to help. The driver and restaurant weren't any help whatsoever. Eventually I was able to find someone to chat with and they canceled the order. They said a refund would take 3-5 business days. You took the money out right away but 3-5 business days for a debit card refund. This is corporate America at it's finest. I'll stick with DoorDash but am hesitant to use any of them with business models set for teenagers. I'd like someone to at least talk to when things go south with the restaurant or driver.
Horrible whenever I would order half the time the food wouldn't come and they would always call to cancel never order from here its the worse.
Someone across the country used my account to order 80$ worth of pizza. I have a medical condition and don't earn much money, in fact I rarely order grub hub. When I brought this charge to their attention they didn't refund me. They took off the payment method from my account, but that doesn't help with the entire shifts worth of money I lost and could've used to pay doctor bills. I'm going to delete my account and just switch to doordash.

8. And waited some more
9. Saw the driver on gps
10. Driver arrived and didn't drop off food. Arrived and then left…
11. Contacted customer service
12. Rachel said she would refund me
13. Asked her to resend the order
14. Rachel said all she can do is refund me
15. Asked to speak with a manager
16. Rachel said there is none
17. Asked for a manager to call during business hours
18. Rachel said that can take anywhere between 2-4 days.
19. They never called.
Restaurants unfortunately at an alarming rate continue to forget half of ordered meals, I understand a refund can be initiated, but it at times does not make up for the inconvenience, at times Restaurants don't even recieve orders (allegedly) through which ever system is used to communicate from grubhub to the restaurant. Is their any repercussions for Restaurants who are constantly forgetting entire or half orders, and the consumer has to initiate a refund? Or Restaurants replacing items without calling the consumer to let them know they're out of an item, and it will be replaced? Its becoming an increasing issue at this point, and ordering through these type of apps are starting to be pointless.
I have ordered twice. We had to go pick up the cold food the 1st time and they canceled the 2nd order hours later after saying it was delayed! Don't do it! It's a trap!
After waiting for food for almost one hour, I receive a text saying there was an issue with the driver or some excuse. Either way, they said it was cancelled and I was given a return. What kind of message does this send to the public? This was for a Popeyes food chain. Don't companies have any commitment to serving customers any longer. Try to always go above and beyond and make things right. The work ethic is non existent in our society any longer. Mediocrity and complacency, has replaced sacrifice and hard work. Our country is in the toilet. It's no wonder millions of able, bodied people sit home and all of these franchises close. People better wake the f k up before we are all speaking a new language here and kiss our freedoms goodbye.! The Old Generation made this country a place everyone wanted to be in. Now with the apathy of people in our country, everyone wish they could leave. These companies like Seamless and Grub Hub... soon will enjoy their own demise. Enjoy.!
Order was placed at 2:09 then the driver tried to pick up order at 3:42! I'm sure that is way too long to try to pick up an order! Bad service never will order from them again!
I would give them a zero if I could. GH was given as a gift, so I thought I would try it. Big mistake, up charge on some items by $5.00 even after using pick up. I understand lack of drivers, but don't offer delivery then wait until 15 minutes prior to delivery to notify customers!
Placed an order at 3:30 for 5:15 delivery. Long story short, it came at 6:15. I was on chat with customer service who were very curt and offered no explanation. Never using GrubHub again.
Grubhub has to be the absolute worst food ordering app of them all. They will literally sit there and let your order get pushed back 4 hours like they do for me within 2 places I ordered from and not say a single word to you. I had to call to get my money back and cancel my order and even the lady I talked to was ridiculous trying to get me to do a survey midway through our convo and saying "I don't understand your frustration". Than after all this is said and done I get a coupon for 10% off a order of a minimum of 30 dollars.
My order was placed at 11:44am saying 50-60 minutes for delivery time so 12:53 it first said. The company lets drivers say they will take the run take other ones then an hour let's say they decline the order. When delivery is set for one time then changes leaving customer sitting waiting. Their customer care service said 2 times that driver were inside waiting for my food it wasn't ready. I have never sat 2 hours in chipotle for 3 steak tacos! If you live out of town don't let them lie to you & say they deliver cause it's bs! This last driver driver #5 has left there 2 times & now back. I am sick in tears hungry & just want my food. I will never use again & if you live 10 miles away from the restaurant don't order from Grubhub!
Never order from grubhub we ordered tonight from them for the third time it's going to be a charm this time since they messed up are first two orders we placed are order my daughter stopped by and she wanted dinner not a problem we ordered door dash it's being delivered at 6 55 then it updated to7 45 and then again to 8 40 and once again to 9 15 then they wanted to offer up coupons because it is being delivered so late and in the middle of this they tell us the order has been canceled but they where nice enough to offer us a 5 dollar coupon $#*! them now I'm thawing stuff out at 8 30 to mainly feed my daughter that has a 20 mile drive home on icy roads never order from these $#*!ers in Bozeman Montana
Answer: I travel for a living and have experienced the lousy service that is Grub Hub. From Philadelphia PA to Shreveport LA and multiple other cities THIS SERVICE SUCKS. There's nothing good to say about it.
