Seems like every time I use GrubHub they give me a promo code because they are always LATE with my delivery, like 1hr to 1 1/2 late. Smh
The food was an hour late and cold and would only refund $6 of a $60 order
And I had to spend 30 minutes in live chat to cancel the order. An absolute debacle.
Go eff yourself little millenial d bag CEO! Not a clue of where America is at the moment. Foot in mouth much? Dumba $$!
I used them many times because I didn't have another choice and sometimes they did delivered the food. But most of the times they delivered the food an hour or 2 hours later. I counted to 10 and tried patiently not to argue with them, but it seems impossible. They drop the ball so bad and so many times that it gets to a point that it seems like a hidden camera TV Show, Playing with your head to get you mad and then say, SURPRISE! We Prank you! Lol The bad news is that they are kinda parking you but for real, No Hidden Cameras thought. LOL
Every time they mess up They apologize and of course refund your money, but the time you waste with them is ridiculous.
Please stay away from this company if you don't want to be upset and wasting your time waiting for your food and then calling them to get your money back every time. I had more than 5 cases but the worse one was a delivery guy who took my food to the building next door and gave it to an stranger to hold it for me. When I Called the guy he said "I left it in the lobby of your building"
Me: "with whom?". Are you for real?
He says: "Yeah With somebody that was there"
I thought he was joking but he was for real lol, He then managed to come back after I told him he left the food at the wrong building and with somebody who obviously is not me and doesnt know me, to hold it for me?,
Oh Boyyy, He got my food away from the hands of the person he gave it to LOL, and then called me back telling me: " Hey I got your food back, don't worry nobody touched it"
I couldn't believe what he was saying, Well you know the end, of course i didnt take the food, Restaurant and eat24hours apologized like they always do and refunded my money. No Coupon, No Credit, Nothing. These guys are a joke, I still wonder how are they still in business.
I should open a company that does totally the opposite of what they do and how they run their business and I will definitely be way more successful than these Pranksters. Great Idea.
I would give them ZERO stars if that was possible. I went online and placed a dinner order and put down that I wanted it delivered at 6:30pm. The order showed it would be delivered between 6:30 and 6:40pm. I got home at 6:25 and my neighbor told me that driver just left. They showed my food delivered at 6:24pm which was a flat out lie. Now why would you ask what time to deliver the food if you are going to try to deliver it earlier and then NOT call or wait for me to get home? I called customer service and was told that they tried to deliver and nobody was home so I could NOT get the food and I could NOT have a refund. I yelled and yelled and they could care less. I hung up and went online and spoke with the customer service and they said the same thing. I was not home and they would not bring me the food I paid for and I could NOT have my money back. After much arguing I was told they would send me a voucher for the $30 I just spent and I could use that voucher to just order the food again. Well that also turned out to be a big fat lie! They sent me 2 vouchers with one for $25 and one for $5. The fine print on the voucher said they could not be combined and that I could not pay for the delivery charge, the taxes or the tip with the voucher. Now I already paid all those things one the order I did not get and now I could not get the order replaced using the vouchers they sent. Talk about 100 percent rip-off! So I got no food. I got charged $30 that they will not refund and I have 2 vouchers that I can not use to pay for the order I never got. Honestly how do you think I feel about Grub Hub?
NEVER AGAIN! Not even for FREE!
So i decided to order taco bell at 8:30 for me and my roommates tonight normal study night with some good food and happy me. Taco bell recommended GrubHub for delivery... They said my order would come at 910, then it didn't so i called them and they said it would come at 940, it didn't so i called them and they said it would come at 1010. It $#*!ing didn't and they called me another like 20mins later and told me my order has been cancelled. Then I get another text saying my order is on the way so I wait. NEARLY 2 HOURS LATER OF TELLING ME FOUR TIMES IT WOULD COME IN 10 MINS BOTH SOURCES CANCELLED MY ORDER. They told me the driver, apparently 2 drivers, waited at taco bell for 40min for my food. Like seriously wtff? Never in my life have i had to wait that long for fast food and why tell me FOUR TIMES my food is coming when u don't have it. I was SNOWING OUTSIDE and I was standing there on the side of the street expecting food to come any moment for 2 HOURS IN TOTAL. They told me they would refund me and give me 15% off my next order, well guess what? THAT DIDN'T HAPPEN EITHER. THEY STOLE MY MONEY, CONSTANTY LIED, AND LEFT ME STANDING IN THE COLD FOR 2 HRS EXPECTING FOOD ANY MOMENT JUST TO GET NOTHING
I used them for years, but when the CEO decides to be a political douchebag to his employees... NEVER AGAIN!
Grub Hub Cancelled our order 15 minutes after we were to receive delivery. Ordered from Chick Fil-A at Short Pump to be delivered by Grub Hub.
Seamless and GrubHub appear to be the same thing, at the back end. Their order interface, processing, and customer service are the same.
I have ordered food delivery through Seamless/GrubHub successfully before, in amounts in excess of $100. Never had any problem with order processing or delivery. This time I tried to order 3 days of food for 2x people, so the total amount of the order was higher ($200+).
On this occasion, Seamless/GrubHub charged my card, then immediately refunded, flagged the whole thing as fraudulent, and blocked my account. (This is what happened behind the scenes; the web site itself explained none of this, offered a vacuous/unhelpful "please try again later" error message, and offered no instructions and no customer service contact information.)
Since my account was flagged as fraudulent and blocked, subsequent attempts to order via both Seamless and Grubhub web sites, and charge to different cards, were handled identically (the amount charged to my card, immediately refunded, order did not go through, I was presented with a vacuous/unhelpful error message).
In speaking with Seamless/GrubHub customer service, their initial explanation was that my initial order was over $100, but they immediately contradicted their own implication (denying that there was any maximum order amount and that this was in any way the cause of the fraud assumption on their part). And why charge the card in the first place, if fraud is suspected? All rather strange.
In the end, they explained that it would take 48+ hours to clear my account so that I could use their service again. Though they denied it, it is my suspicion is that if I order over $100 (*including* all tax, fees, etc... i. e. If the total gross charge to the credit card exceeds $100), the who circus will be repeated.
Seems like delivery via Seamless/Grubhub can be rather fraught. It appears there are undocumented restrictions that a legitimate user can violate rather trivially. The result is that they can end up simply refusing service to anyone, even repeat customers, for reasons that seem to confuse even their own customer service people, and which require days of lead time to rectify.
I have had severe delivery problems with DoorDash (they simply report as having delivered without actually delivering, and then I have to ask the merchant for a refund, get blown off, dispute credit card charges, etc), so my options for delivery seem to have narrowed basically to none.
From now on, I will be ordering via the restaurant's own app or phone number, and picking up in person.
All the reviews about how bad grubhub drivers are bad well guess what the customers are the real dumbasses. Y'all $#*! about everything and don't know anything. Y'all say u never received ur food probably because ur a dumbass who lives in a huge apartment complex and never put the apartment number then when u try and contact u u don't answer and make drivers go around the world what are we supposed to magically know where the $#*! your dumbass lives no it's the fact u old $#*!s don't know how to use these apps and actually need to read $#*! instead of blowing thru it. Or u order from Taco Bell and I get there and they say oh our system is down so guess what we have to put the restaurant is closed so that dumbass that said Taco Bell couldn't be closed at 8 uhhh yes it can, I've seen it happen. You think we wanna cancel your order and not get paid dumbass NO. There's two sides to all these bad reviews and guess what the customer is not always right more like the customer is a dumbass and sometimes $#*! goes wrong. Oh and to those $#*!ing about how expensive it is like yea I gotta get paid and if your lazy $#*! don't want get in your car and go get the food yourself your gonna have to pay for it lazy $#*!er. This app will never go outta business cuz there's always gonna be a lazy dib$#*! that don't wanna get up to get there food, and I'll gladly take there money and there food on time and hot cuz I have two big $#*! hot bags and I've never been late on delivery. Oh and lastly $#*! all you no tipping cheap skates or u 2 dollar tippers, you know it's not hard work being a damn driver but guess what gas prices are high as $#*! it's not free and we're over here $#*!ing up our only car that we have to work they can't run forever these $#*!ers break down from all the wear and tear so cut us a damn break and tip 15% at least u cheap little $#*!s.The thing is no one is gonna write a good review anyway most of the time people get so mad that have to write a bad review to make themselves feel better, when really ur review don't do $#*! to hurt anything ur just whining on the internet taking more time out of ur day not making any difference at all. I'll still make hella money and grubhub will too.
Grubhub changed our restaurant order location and ARE TERRIBLE. POOR CUSTOMER SERVCIE (i. E., NONE). DO NOT USE GRUBHUB!
Placed my order at 8:10pm... It is now 10:01 pm and food still isn't here. This is such BS.
Order was places at 10:01 PM...
I contacted the restaurant at *******605@ 11:11 PM. They said the order (only appetizers) were ready about 30-45 mins ago. They advised that I call GrubHub for any issues. I contacted GrubHub *******085 to see where the order was. The agent (Mary) advised me they currently did not have anyone to deliver the order, but that she would reach out to the dispatch and restaurant to have to food remade. I advised that it would be best to find a driver FIRST, because if the food sits again for 30-45 mins its going to be no good. The restaurant is only located 2.1 (5 mins) away from where I work.
This is absolutely ridiculous. If you do not have drivers available, then you should not allow customers to order food from that area. I ordered my food at 10:01pm and it is now midnight 2 hours later; and still have not received my items. This is absolutely unacceptable!
I called again at 12:07am to find out where the food is at. Cassandra was very helpful when I called the 2nd time and showed empathy for the situation and attempted to locate whether or not there was in fact a driver on the way. She confirmed that they still did not have a driver on the way and that my order had been cancelled (12:09am). I advised that I NEVER cancelled my order and specifically told that GrubHub Delivery Team cancelled my order, without my consent. (2 hours and 15 mins later)
If a cancellation happens the customer should be made aware more than just by sending an email to the customer, especially after they waited over 2 hours for the food to show. I am COMPLETELY appalled at this situation and definitely will not be using this service in the future.
The company cheats you out of money all day every day. They'll say you are guaranteed at least minimum wage per hour, but God forbid you reject or even miss an order because they'll take the pay you had gotten from earlier in the day away from you! There were times when an offer came in right when I'm delivering to the customer and I missed it. Do they want me to tell the customer "hold on I'll give you your food after I accept this next offer"? Also, your tips go towards your hourly pay. You can make like $7 in tips on an order, well that went to your hourly pay. (I learned that it's best to tip all food delivery drivers and servers in restaurants in cash cause it helps them better, I recommend everyone else doing the same)So if I'm lucky I get $10.00 an hour, and that's usually what I make. You can make a little bit more if you work during the busy times, but still it's not that much more. I seem to get offered one order per half an hour. A lot of sitting around in your car, trying not to look like someone sketchy hanging out. Plus it sucks when it's really extreme weather outside when you are waiting around. So much wear and tear on your car. I do this on the side, I thankfully have a full time job so this is side money. I wouldn't want to do Grubhub full time. Their driver "care" doesn't care at all, at least their phone reps. I had an order at the local hospital, which that is already a pain because of having to park in the parking garage and that taking so long to deliver (plus the restaurant of course had to be one of the ones that take a really long time) I called the driver care number to see if they could let the customer know (I think it would look better if they did) and the rep said "I don't understand what you want me to do!", I just hung up. They don't care. It's easier to text customer care when you are at a restaurant and the food is late, they respond saying they'll let the Ch know. They'll send you order offers while you are still on the one you have, even before you delivered. They don't understand if you are in a place where it's going to take longer than usual (like the parking garage issue). At least wait until we have checked the "delivered" box on the app. And you try to avoid missing or rejecting an order because you'll lose your pay or your acceptance rate and getting future orders is in jeopardy. You only get paid mileage for the driving you do between the restaurant and where the customer is. THAT IS ALL!
TRUST the reviews! Good Took 2hrs to arrive! EXTREMELY COLD. Fries hardly edible. Nice delivery guy.
Answer: I travel for a living and have experienced the lousy service that is Grub Hub. From Philadelphia PA to Shreveport LA and multiple other cities THIS SERVICE SUCKS. There's nothing good to say about it.
Answer: Both. But he is not alone, unfortunately. He only got exposed. Millions others are working in politically intolerant places. We have to change that.
Answer: Yes, it is normal. Original delivery times are almost never met. No drivers, Lost Drivers, Poorly trained or untrained drivers.
Answer: LOL... no kidding right! How can places take 2 hours to get food to you and not necessarily at a peak time. Good luck! Hope you were able to cancel it, but wonder if it showed up in the mean time. For this reason I no longer use a card but pay cash when I get the food. Hope you've managed to eat something by now.
Answer: Never Folks keep using them Until they began to see decline in sales, they will not change
Answer: Answer: Grub Hub does suck big time. No real answer. If you like cold food, delivered late and an "oh well" customer service attitude, Grub Hub is the company you should use.
Answer: They just don't care. Company motto must be "customer comes last". They simply trying to salvage whatever market share they can before they get bought out by a superior service that actually cares about customers.
Answer: Nothing. By this inaction I would say to quit using this bad business. Go with UberEats or maybe try getting your own food.
Answer: This can be expected with a bad company such as Grub Hub. CEO gets his Chub Hub off screwing customers.
Answer: It all starts at the top. Worst management, worst operational model, worst operational supervision, worst driver compensation.
Grubhub has a rating of 1.1 stars from 4,555 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers dissatisfied with Grubhub most frequently mention customer service, delivery time and next order. Grubhub ranks 179th among Food Delivery sites.
