I tried grub hub for the first time. This is the worse delivery service! After thirty minutes, we watched the driver drive past our house. Thirty minutes after that, I get a notice that my order was delivered - we never got it! I called customer service, was on hold for fifteen minutes only to find out that the driver said he walked up to the front door, rang the doorbell and was told I didn't live there. He went to the wrong house! He said he came to my house. Impossible! My husband was waiting outside. We were tracking the drivers progress. Then I'm told that the food was returned to the restaurant. Unbelievable. I will never use grubhub again.

Got ripped off

Me and my friend got food and never got dilevered with in 2 hrs after I food was suppose to be there. A lady on the phone said she refunded our money and never did have been working on getting our our money back for a few days now

I ordered at 8 pm-by 10:30 nothing--i contacted customer service who
Took 30 minutes to 'get back to me.' Inwas told that the restaurant wasnt answering their phone. I askes if they had the delivery persons number, and was told, "no." At 11:15 pm i personally went to the restaurant-everyone was there, no one had tried calling. The restaurant told me that they never received my order-and unfortunately, as the kitchen had closed, I could not get my order. I will never use eat24 again.

Worst ever

4 out of 5 times we've ordered from GrubHub, our food has been delayed (or forgotten entirely). And not delayed by only 10 minutes, but like by 30-45 minutes. Today we ordered for five people and it's already 40 minutes overdue. Just called to find out that it will be another 15 minutes, so close to an hour late. WE WILL NOT order from them again. Not dependable. Don't waste your time. Order from another service.

AWFUL!

I have NEVER written a review before but this experience was so awful I feel like I need to share my story in order to protect people "out there".

I ordered food at 6:30pm last night. The estimate quote said the foot would arrive at 8:10pm. That in itself was a little shock. Anyway, I dealt with it.

At 8:40pm I STILL did not have food. I called the restaurant and the to-go server said that she had never received an order for me via Eat24. I called Eat24, was placed on hold for about five minutes, and then was told that the driver was three minutes away. 10 minutes later, the driver arrived with my food. It was ICE COLD. My guess is that the order was placed at 6:30pm and that the driver was making other deliveries until 9:00pm.

I'm very pissed. I will NEVER use this company again and I will make sure no one I know will use it either.

We've ordered from them twice. The first time the food never arrived even after the confirmation email. Tonight is really the last time we use their services. Basically the same scenario. Food ordered, paid for, email confirmation and almost 3 hour later we get attitude from the gentleman on the phone. I realize it's not his fault however we spent over $70 on food and the restaurant was closed today. Kinda crappy but Eat24 had them open and available for business. Like I said we got an estimated arrival time, we were charged and recieved a confirmation from the restaurant. I'm super sorry that a 10$ off voucher isn't worth us attempting your service again. You already said it be 5 days before we would get our original payment refunded. Please just stop, you aren't very good at this whole thing. Even if Yelp bought ya. They pretty much suck at life too.

After cold food and an incomplete order and after waiting 30, minutes to speak with a "human" we were told we would not get a full refund. This company and customer service is just terrible. I will be surprised if they remain in business.

I understand that if you order food online there will be a wait time. However, I expect the "confirmed delivery time" to be relatively close. Eat24 will tell you a delivery time of 35 minutes and you're lucky to receive your order in 1.5 HOURS. Plus, they are owned by Yelp, so they don't get any bad reviews (shocker!).

The shame on you shame on me phrase fits with this company. Tried multiple times and had only 1 out if 12 times be worth the wait. Expensive and is slow. Get up off your... and go and get it yourself. The worst thing is traffic or... Don't waste your time or money.

Waited an hour and a half and has ONE request which was to not ring the doorbell but please call or text upon arrival is it was midnight and we have small children... of course they rang the doorbell and woke the dog and kids up. Food was freezing cold, was told eat24 couldn't reach the restaurant but would in the morning. They didn't so when I followed up the next evening was told they could only refund 10% and offer a discount on my next 2 orders. STAY AWAY!

Bigger isn't better

As Grubhub has grown they're service has gotten worse. Due to my job, I often used Grubhub about 3x a week since they arrived in Seattle. The larger they've gotten the worse the service. In the last six months I've had problems with not all my order arriving, having it take over an hour and a half to arrive, and it not arriving at all. Each time they apologize and tell me they are sending me a $10 food coupon online. They never do. Tonight was the final straw. They told me my food was on the way, then extended the delivery time, then when an hour and a half had gone by and I called they first informed me it had been delivered then informed me the order had been cancelled. They promise they will refund my money but I am not holding my breath. There are now so many other food delivery services out there that I will be changing my delivery service. I'm done waiting for them to work out the kinks in their system.

Worst delivery service.

If you want to wait for hours for your food - than not arrive - than spend 20 minutes trying to get thru to the company call center in Texas with a call center not in communication with the locale you are in and than have the live manager call you after requesting him 15 minutes later and than have him hang up twice because his phone set isn't working properly.
Worse run delivery service.
I cant even reach them to get my refund.

The driver for my food marked my order complete 16 minutes before it arrived to me. It took 37 minutes for the driver to leave the restaurant and get to me and the restaurant is 1 mile away.

Customer service backed up the driver even though a simple check on the driver GPS, which even I could see, would have shown the driver lied. $67 order worth of seafood was almost all ruined and they issued me a $10 refund after I waited almost an hour to talk to the online chat and the representative rudely disconnected the chat instead of trying to resolve what happened. This whole company is a joke.

Garbage

They have come a long way from the way they used to operate, which was unreliable. They now operate as garbage. Cold food, even when advertised as close enough to deliver hot. Rude delivery drivers. Over priced, and you still need to tip. If you don't tip 20%, then expect your food in three hours instead of two. Oh yeah, and if the store is closed, they will charge you and say the restaurant got your order and it never comes. I have given this restaurant more than a few tries. You get no more chances from me.

Horrible customer service

Ordered pizza from a local place that apparently uses eat24 for deliveries because they had good Yelp reviews and was looking to try a new place. Completed my order, entered credit card, etc... everything appeared fine. An hour later, no pizza. Went to online "live" chat at eat24. Person responded over 5 minutes later ("live" chat), said they couldn't locate the order. Stayed on "live" chat, waiting, many minutes later, second person started responding (shift change? Bathroom break?) still no assistance nor offer to take order again nor fix situation. Just, "did you get an order confirmation?" and an explanation of the process. Learned lesson, only order from locals who have their own local delivery.

The Chinese food I ordered was undercooked and not real chicken. I called the restaurant, requesting a new order and they refused. I wrote AND called Grubhub to help rectify the situation (either to receive credit or a refund). The woman on the phone TANYA said she would call me back after she contacted the restaurant.

It's been a week and I'm still waiting for that phone call. Good bye, Grubhub!

Unreliable and Mismanaged

There is a serious communications gap between GrubHub that takes and relays the delivery orders, and the restaurants that receive those orders. More than once restaurants have claimed not to have received the orders, but GH claims they made the orders and the restaurants acknowledged it. It makes no difference who's at fault here; what matters is that GH is not tracking the orders it relays to ensure they are in fact delivered. Do not recommend GH if you want reliability.

JUST NOTED: Over 290 1 star reviews and the "owner" has not yet responded to any one of them. They just don't care about their lack of customer service... pull them off your bookmarks.
