Free samples are a Joke
September 10, 2021

When I first started buying grove it was great. Then product was out of "stock" then they offered free samples, oh no sorry out of stock. If you spend so much you get a free gift. Lol bull, since they "forgot" to put in box, they say oh no you have to ship that very minute.
Nowhere does it say that and it hasNEVER been that way.
Don't waste your time or money.
They lie, and don't deliver.

I tried Grove because I am looking for a one-stop place for environmentally friendly cleaning and personal hygiene products. The products are expensive (more expensive than in other places). The freebies the throw in level it out to where the overall cost equals or is slightly less than in other places. I was happy. Placed my order. I noticed when the order confirmation was emailed that 2/3 of the freebies in the cart were not included. I thought it might be a mistake. Went back to look at my order online... it simply said it is being packaged. It did not list the products. The products with most of the freebies missing arrived. If you don't want to give out "free stuff" (that really is not free in the first place bc the cost is folded into higher prices), that is ok. Just don't scam customers by saying you will send items that you won't. Also, in the order history, include the actual order (ALL items that were in the cart), not just an order process status. Not ordering here again.

Total Scam company

The automatic, sign you up for VIP membership and do not tell you they charge you $20.00 after a month if you do not know this and they sign you up for automatic delivery if you do not cancel that too. Again you have no choice they just do it. They change you order and ship thing you do not even order and charge you for it. And they wait 30 days to ship your order so you can not return it as there is only a 30 day return policy. Buyer BEWARE!

I placed a major order for cleaning supplies on Nov. 13,2020. As of Nov. 28,2020 I have not received order.
Tonight I received an email saying that there had just been a delivery... which did not occur! I am totally frustrated, and I will never order from them again! I just hope that they will give me a refund.

The products are great, the peopple that I have dealt with have always been friendly but their shipping service is TERRIBLE. They ship from a warehouse about 6 hours away from me and now, for the third straight time it has been over 2 weeks since I was notified that the order had shipped and still no product. I am done with this company until they come to their senses regarding shipping. I would not recommend them under any circumstances!

I have been a Grove customer since February 2017. Customer service has always been a positive experience. That is one of the reasons I have been a customer for as long as I have and why I will always buy my cleaning and household supplies from Grove. Not only are they amazing at customer service, but they keep the best products in the shop. I love that I can buy all of my favorite cleaning supplies in one place conveniently from home. Even better is I can try new products that end up as favorites. I have had a few issues with missing products or products that have made a mess, however, they will either credit my account for the amount or they'll send it to me.

Thank you, Grove, for being awesome and giving me the ability to get rid of all toxic products.

Buyer beware
September 8, 2020

Buyer beware! I have waited since December 2019 for my UT quilt Christmas present for my son after numerous follow up emails… I have still yet to receive the queen size quilt I will take down this post when I actually I actually receive it. I would give this a zero if that were an option or negative number horrible horrible service!

Horrible
June 10, 2020

They refused to send an item that I paid for which was missing from my order. Only options were to send with next order or credit grove account. They tried to force me to buy more from them to get the item that they never sent. Unethical company. I cancelled everything and would never shop with them again.

What an unethical company. I ordered from Grove Collaborative website which somehow triggered a VIP Membership with a recurring membership fee which I never registered for and regular subscriptions for products I didn't order! I would get email notices for upcoming shipments and have to go in and cancel things I never ordered! It must be in the fine print and they make it hard for you to cancel things you didn't event ask for. Deceptive and unethical.

Hi Donna, we are so sorry for any confusion. As noted upon signing up, Grove's services default to ship monthly orders, which are preceded by a few email reminders to edit your order before it ships. Although this is a default setting, your flexible monthly shipments can be turned off at any time, allowing you to shop on an as-need basis. Your first order also includes a free VIP membership trial for 60 days, which is also noted upon signing up. We send an email reminder with an link to cancel this separate service before it renews 3 days before the trial is up, and we apologize if that was missed. We're always more than happy to cancel and refund your VIP membership if you do not wish to continue. Don't bother
June 1, 2020

I have use Grove collaborative since 2016 and they have gotten worse in the last year. Every shipment I have had in the last 8 months have had out of stock items. This has nothing to do with the pandemic, which they blamed it on when I contacted them. Out of stock items have been reoccurring since last fall. Also, their customer service has gotten worse. They used to be so helpful. Now, they don't help at all. If you want the products they offer, buy directly from the company, like Mrs. Meyer's. I've started doing that and I pay the same price I would with Grove Collaborative. I don't know what happened with the company, but they are terrible now.

Nightmare!

Can't tell you how frustrating it is to have your credit card keep getting charged. I have over 10 emails with company and still getting charged. I have to go through PayPal to file a claim now. Super shady. Company lies. Still hasn't refunded me over $80.

HAPPY customers!

We have been customers for 2-3 years! Have always been treated well. If item was broke they replaced it with no questions!(even when replacement arrived broken they sent a third one immediately!) They sent item we didn't order once and i contacted to see how to return and they said to keep it as a gift or donate it. Love about 9 out of 10 of the products we try. Love the microfiber towels! Streakfree clean with just water on all my SS appliances! Pre Covid they were super fast and always in stock but they are suffering like the rest of the world these days. The VIP membership pays for itself with the free shipping!

Beware - After 1st Order, Grove is Pushy Trying to Sell More, More, More
The products are great, prices are good, their website looks great! It all goes down hill fast after your first order. Beware! The customer experience is terrible. If you get the wrong item, good luck. They will not ship out the correct item. They require you to buy more. They refuse to ship out the replacement item. They say it is to reduce the carbon footprint. However, the software automatically places items in your cart for auto ship without your consent. They are all about persuading you to spend more... order more.

The products I received have been wonderful but automatically making them a subscription is misleading. Automatically putting things in a cart that are free but then turn into a subscription is misleading. I take full responsibility for not reading the fine print but to be fair it is not that clear. Why do concentrate cleaners need to be a monthly subscription? I don't know anyone that would go through that much cleaner in a month. It's a shame because I would have continued to be a customer but this is a turn off.

I liked the service at first, but if you aren't careful to go back and uncheck items from a list of past orders they automatically want to send you again, you end up paying for a box of stuff you didn't want. When I communicated with customer service that I wanted to cancel my membership and unsubscribe, they said it was taken care of. Today a grove box showed up full of products I don't want and didn't order. I contact customer service, they acted a though it was my mistake (I still have the communications proving otherwise) and then after condescending to me, concludes with, 'just turn everything, no worries. ' grrr. Now I'm hauling their stuff back to the post office, adding another errand. No apology, nada. Never again.

I got one package one time a year ago. Since then they have still charged me almost monthly even though I have emailed, called, chatted to cancel. I have to message them every month and hope I catch it to call and no matter what they still always charge me

Missing items
May 6, 2020

Boxed badly and items were missing. Instead of resending, they say they have to add them to my next order because shipping is bad for the environment. If I would have just ordered these items, you would have shipped them! Seems like a scheme to make sure that I have to order again. Very disappointing customer service.

I did a one time purchase and they keep charging me $19.99 for a monthly fee. Do not purchase from Grove. When they get your credit card number they keep charging it. Please dispute the charges with your credit card company. When they get a large number of disputes they are no longer able to use credit cards.

Additionally, when you first ordered, you enrolled in a Free 60 Day VIP Trial after which it renews for $19.99 for a year of VIP. This program includes free shipping, four full-sized gifts, early access to special promotions, and a lower order minimum. You'll receive an email from us a few days before your VIP renews so you can cancel if you would like.

You can still shop with us without recurring shipments or having a VIP membership.

I love Grove.

I am very happy with my services. For 20$ a year, free shipping and free gifts. You can't a beat it! I own a cleaning business so it comes in handy. Very convenient and my shipments always come within a couple of days. Love it.

I trid to check out but neither my email address nor CC# would register. Calling a representative he took me trough a process that I was afraid would give him access to my computer. It has happened before--I was scammed in a similar way. It should be easy enough to register customer information or make an order by phone. This person was asking me to press the "window" symbol and the letter R simultaneously, which led to a tab to enter a code he suggested, which prompted another window to fill in, which got to be too much of a stretch of my trust. It should be no problem to order by phone. Unfortunately he suggested I eat almonds to improve my stupid old lady brain... Sorry, I don't trust the remote computer-assisted process at all.
