I loved Groupon when things were going smoothly and I could order what I wanted. Then... the day came when I actually needed customer support/care and... cricket... nothing! Their website offers little to nothing. But, I dug deeper and finally got a number (they only email back within 24 hours). Here I sit... 35 minutes into my "hold" mode. And, still nada. Oh, wait... they just answered and yes! Disconnected me! OMG they absolutely are on the bottom of the armpit line for service. I am NEVER using them again. Do not EVER use Groupon with an expectation that they will support you... the consumer.
I gladly submit my name: Jill Sisk
Avoid at all cost. Don't even consider buying anything from here especially the magazines.
They basically funnel it to doplhin magazine which is terrible rating and there's hidden fees that are not made visible in the groupon site.
Groupon has such amazing deals. It's usually 50% for services like massages, facials, pedicures, etc. Where else can you get such a great deal?! Also, every time I've called customer service I've been blown away by how helpful they are. They really want customers to be happy. I highly recommend Groupon!
This company has gotten too big for its britches. Buying out LivingSocial just made them cocky, and someone I loathe to do business with now. Previously, they were very good at getting things resolved. Today, I spoke with 4 different geniuses from Groupon who couldnt give me an answer on a simple purchase... FAILX 10
Companies that believe they dont need superior customer service are doomed in this new biz era. Riding on a monopoly only lasts so long...
I bought an electronic dog invisible fence. It will not stay charged. Groupon only offers a 2 week return policy! I will never buy electronics nor anything but POSSIBLY groupons for restaurants from them ever again!
I'm a merchant who tried using their services to promote my business. They refuse to take down the vouchers even though I'm currently making nothing in lockdown. Also, if your voucher expires before you get to use it, Groupon keeps all that money. Just a greedy, dodgy company.
In the past month, I've acquired a nearly $10,000 fall/winter wardrobe from ideeli for under grand. That being said, you get what you pay for. While all clothes are brand new with original tags, and often with hangers ( :D) , it can take over a month to recieve some items. Each sale does say when the date items are expected to ship, but 10 days to receive items is absolutely ridiculous. As far as fit, I've only sent two things back so far. My advice is to double check each designer's size chart as then one on ideeli is often incorrect or lacking information.
Ordered from and agree with all the other unhappy buyers. They take FOREVER and then some to mail out items. I've gotten items from china via reg. Mail faster than this place. Items aren't even at a good discount. I can get most of that stuff myself for less. I do better on Ebay too.
Hi Gigi: We are sorry for the inconvenience. Most of our sale items come direct from the manufacturer, and while this does ensure authenticity, it may delay shipping expediency; that said, it is also the reason we are able to offer discounts on the merchandise. We appreciate your feedback, and encourage you to reach out to us with any questions you might have in the future.

The coupon sites were always a hit-and-miss for me and unfortunately this one proved this too :( Had several great deals and was very happy with those, but some turned out to expire or didnt exist. Great thing you still can refund your money if you miss.
They are garbage... fine print my $#*!... 12 days came and left and on the 14th day I get an email basically saying, "Unfortunately, we have NO IDEA what is going on with your order. Once we know we'll let you know.". Seriously? You guys have no idea, nor have any common sense to contact that supplier and ask them about an order? This is just mind bottling... just want to slap myself on the wrist for not looking at reviews first... But yeah, looks these types of issues have been going on your over 2 years... CEO needs to be fired or replaced
I love Groupon. We got a premium suite at a hotel including several extra services and items included, for the same price as the plain room rate with less tickets (a lodge and water park)-literally half price. Of course you don't get something for nothing- there were date restrictions, an expiration date, and no exchanges for types of rooms not in the deal- but if you took all those into account on planning time to use it, it worked great. That said, I am sure some people grabbed it, didn't pay attention they couldn't use it on the peak weekends they wanted or the one night they tried to use it got full, so they are screaming what a rip off it is. Just read carefully ahead of time and it can be great for saving money!
Pretty bad, especially when compared with similar sites like Gilt & Rue La La. Ordered an item and was sent the wrong thing, which while I felt was intentional, (as despite item being available on the site, they said my item was 'sold out.' It seemed they thought incorrect item was one I might keep.) I wasn't too worried about, except that they don't offer cash back, and by the time you have the item delivered via ground and then returned, you run the risk of being outside of their window for creating a credit. Additionally, it was pretty terrible customer service and the whole operation seems fairly fly-by-night. Will not try them again.
Hi J: We sincerely apologize for the misshipment; while nothing is perfect, we want to assure you that we have made great strides in improving Customer Service and support over the past year. If you receive a wrong order, email orders@ideel.com and the agent will try and get you the correct item; if that item is unavailable, you will get a full refund back to your credit card. Also, our return window begins at shipment; so even the furthest of our members still have over a week to return the item after delivery. Did you reach out to Customer Service about your order? If so, please email facebookfriends@ideeli.com with your incident number, so that we can address it promptly and directly. Thanks so much for reaching out to us, and being an ideeli member.

I ordered a pair of LAMB shoes for just under $175, a good price. They were delayed in getting to me and subsequently was out of town when they arrived. When I opened the box they did not match the quality I expected. I compared them to several pairs I own that I paid full retail on and they were not even close. They represented them to be authentic, impossible. By the time I opened everything, the 14 day return period passed. I will never purchase from ideeli again.
Hi Shelley,
Thanks for taking the time to share your feedback on SiteJabber. We're sorry the item you received did not live up to the quality expected. Both quality control and member experience are very important to us, and we take this matter to heart. Our items are all authentic & sent from the vendors to our warehouses; we don't hold inventory in order to keep our prices low. Each item has a shipping window underneath the "add to cart" button to give our members a time frame for which to expect their purchases. When you receive an item, you have 21 days with which to return it. We would be glad to help you process a one time return outside the window for the full amount of your purchase. I'd be happy to assist you personally with your order, can you please private message me your user id & order number so I can help you out right away? Thank you again for reaching out. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you. I look forward to hearing from you.

I ordered 2 identical items from Groupon and received only one. I've tried calling, chatting, emailing to get the status of the 2nd item and can get nothing. I also called the corporate office and got a recording with no operator option. Finally messaged them on Facebook and was told that no one is working in the offices and they would contact me via email. Funny how they instantly take our money, but make it virtually impossible to get it back in a timely manner when they make an error. They have great deals, but it's not worth dealing with a company who cannot be reached when there are issues. Totally unacceptable.
I am very sad that a great company has gotten quite bad in the last year. The customer service is pathetic. You used to actually get a response in under 4 hours as they still advertise but now it takes several days.
Today they are advertising a 30% discount with $200+ purchase but when I place items worth $207 in my cart, I only get 20% discount! That's just wrong.
Also their live chat hours are apparently only 1 minute each day from 8:59-9 AM Mon-Fri and 10:59-11AM Sat and Sun. I tried to live chat them today at 12:50 pm and they were offline. Is this a joke?!
For anyone interested to know this, the company has been owned by Groupon since ever they changed their name from Ideeli to Ideel.
Wow, f-ckin Groupon. Ordered earrings on Jan 28 for valentines day. Called 3 times between then and today (March 2). Stated they sent it twice but was "not processed" and "lost in mail" and now gave me a refund. Never ordering a Groupon Goods ever again.
Purchased a curling iron on 3/22. Groupon site says, "Ships out in 7-14 business days from purchase date." Even allowing for holidays that should be 4/12 at the latest. Well today is 4/10 and I still can't get tracking info from groupon, they've not responded (other than automated "we got your email" emails) to my inquiries, and I called customer service today just to see if I could find out where my purchase was. I was told that it probably wouldn't arrive until next week and that they were going to give me a $5 credit for my inconvenience. Yeah, I don't think they'll have to worry about me using it.
The Groupon deal said: Get $275 worth of prescription eyewear for $50. I had never done a Groupon deal before and my son needed glasses, so I took the bait.
I paid $50 knowing I would end up paying somewhat more since he also needed an eye exam. That was $69. My son's prescription is not complicated. His eyes are not that bad... i. e. No bifocals or trifocals or extra charge for making the lenses thinner. Also, the frames were limited to the See Eyewear House brand. My son found one frame he thought was acceptable and the cost ended up being:
$310! (That's including the original $50 that I forked out up front.) When I asked about why it was so expensive, they told me that the regular retail price *would* have been $575! Their motto "Hip Without the Rip" should be changed to "Hip WITH the Rip". I won't use a Groupon coupon again, and I'll go elsewhere for MY glasses.
I have used groupon on multiple occasions and usually have quick delivery on my items. However this is the second year in a row the I have had bad service during the holiday season. I placed an order on 11/20/15 which was supposed to ship within 3 days. It has been sitting at the prepared for shipment status ever since. I have sent e-mails with no response despite the promise to respond within 48h. I used the chat service which was supremely unhelpful. They told me that someone would get back to me when they figured it out. I am still waiting. I just want to cancel my order because now that even more people are ordering items for christmas my purchase will never get here. Very frustrating promise. Do yourself a favor and do not order during the holidays.
FYI, if you order something from #Groupon and the post office screws up and it doesn't arrive, they don't offer refunds. Their customer service call center wait may be over two hours long, so you'll be required to email "for a more prompt response within 24 hours." (I do t get that logic, but whatever.)
They may take over a week to email you back. Then they may give you a store credit with a warning that you won't get such a credit like that again. They'll also insinuate that the whole issue is your fault because you should use a friend's or family member's address to ensure a delivery.
Guess who just lost my business.
Answer: Yes, Groupon is legit. You need to read the fine print before ordering live event tickets- -they will not refund your money even if it's there fault. I only buy tickets for activities that don't expire or you can use the purchase price towards a non-Groupon service the vendor offers. Hope this helps.
Answer: Yes, report it but using social media is a very effective way to get a companies attention. Spread the word, Groupon does not honor returns!
Answer: I usually call the merchants I am interested in before buying the coupons, and ask them if the groupon coupons work, and how much more I have to pay. You could do the same, contact the merchants you are interested in and ask them how groupon works for them?
Answer: Groupon usually sends a tracking # via email If not do as the other people suggested, check My Groupons
Answer: I wish I could say why, but a solution might be to contact Call Curtis, or your local News station that helps with consumer issues. They always seem to get fast resolutions, because companies hate BAD TV PUBLICITY.
Answer: I personally do not trust groupon. The question previous to yours printed on this site should answer your question as to its reliaiblity
Answer: The one I took by Holly and Hugo at least were I would research the company before buying. Also about twice a year they put all their courses for $5! I got mine completed it and it helped boost my resume and I was able to get a vet assistant job pretty quickly compared to before where I only got a call back from about one place which didn't lead anywhere. :) hope I could help!
Answer: Well, it's not Ideeli anymore... it's been Ideel for about a year now I think. Yes, there is a customer support phone number. I've had nothing but good experiences from Ideel in all regards - product satisfaction, price, shipping, etc. - but I've never had to contact customer service so I don't know what you'll get, but they're phone number is (888) 835-1719.
Answer: They are the absolute worst about answering customer service complaints. They will lie, they literally told me customer service reps were out sick, thus no answer to my emails for about 2 weeks. But, don't loose hope, the DAY I posted a review on this site, they answered AND gave me a 25.00 credit for my trouble. So write a review on Site Jabber with all the details and a bet a manager will answer promptly. As this is their way, I NEVER ordered from the site again after at least 3 years of orders. Good Luck and don't leave a sordid detail out of your complaint.
Groupon has a rating of 1.6 stars from 5,286 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers dissatisfied with Groupon most frequently mention customer service, credit card and fine print. Groupon ranks 250th among Daily Deals sites.
Hi Jennie,
Thanks for sharing your experience! As you mentioned, we try to be as transparent as possible by listing the expected shipping window for all of our items. Please know that we ship as soon as we can once we receive your order directly from the manufacturer. We also list the vendor-provided size chart for all of our sales, and are always happy to answer any additional questions you may have about sizing. Feel free to reach out to us at support@ideeli.com if you ever need assistance. Thanks!
