I shopped there for a year, with pleasant experiences--I was a big fan. But clearly something has changed about the way they run their business as of lately. My last three orders have included:
1. Missing item
2. Item "labeled" right but not as pictured
3. Completely wrong item
They keep getting slower in their customer service request responses. The "will resolve in 3-5 days" is untrue. It has been almost two weeks and they haven't resolved my most recent "wrong item" issue. They have lost my business for good, and I would not recommend them to anyone. I will ensure every friend that I have recommended them too in the past knows that they are no longer reliable.
Every time I purchase a deal on this website there is a glitch! Once I purchased a deal on a snapfish book and that fell through earlier than what was on the notice, then I purchased a deal on a party and the coupon code didn't work, and when I told them the issue, they were like, oh, we don't allow you to use the code until the deal is closed or something along those lines and then... when I was like huh? Why can't I print out tickets after purchasing them, they were like, oh we don't know, we have to check and resolve this issue. Its happened every single time! This is the last time I use this unreliable website!
I purchased a BLUE ANT T1 blue tooth for about $20 buck incl S/H as a back up.my Motorola died last week so i started using the BLUE ANT T1 this week and its not working correctly. Battery wont hold a charge and its just hanging up while ringing someone.
I have since sent my proof of purchase to bluant and they denied warranty saying groupon is not authorized reseller.
I have also ask GROUPON to either refund and or replace. They stated that due to not having any replacements available that they cannot accommodate me. Now that was earlier this week that i received both responses. GROUPON is now offering the same blue tooth for sale for the exact same price. Stating in the warranty that it comes with 1yr manufactures warranty. THATS A LIE!
Please be aware of what you buy and to check before you buy.
I will on the hand recant this statement providing either company does somethis about this issue.

Bought a shell card from Groupon on September 24th and was told it would take 7 to 14 business days for delivery. Not including Columbus day, it's been 17 business days. No tracking info was available, so I called to find out where it was. I was told it was probably lost in the mail and they said they'll have to send it again. I know I put in my correct address, so I asked if they could expedite it. The guy said there's really nothing they can do about, and that it will take ANOTHER 7 to 14 business day! I was given $5 groupon credit, but what's the point? How can I trust Groupon or Shell with another order if I didn't get the first one? Other people in my house got their orders (different items) on time, as well as relatives in other cities, but why not me?
My favorite site so far, they were proactive with any issues I've had, very efficient, and always have a ton of deals available. I'm always excited for their site improvements. I do wish they would simply offer a zip code search, as I find many deals all over the place, and in areas I don't venture. Still, I'm easy to overlook that one. Keep up the great work.
I recently purchased a Premium Home Whitening Teeth-Whitening Kit from Rochester Groupon. After using the product consistently for a week now I am overall satisfied with the purchase. The product was shipped quickly and all the contents were received and comfortably packaged. The kit included: upper and bottom mouth trays, a retainer case, whitening gel and remineralizing gel (to reduce tooth sensitivity). I was worried that the bleach in the whitening gel would harm my gums but the instructions included advised how to avoid irritating your gums. I have seen a considerable difference in the colour of my teeth after only 4 usages. I would recommend this product for anyone looking to successfully whiten their teeth without the expensive cost of doing so through a dentist. The kit is easy to use and effective.
I am a small business owner and had the misfortune of advertising with GROUPON. I was scamed/conned by many buyers and the refund policy of GROPON only helps them accomplish it. They actuallyh told me that their refund policy is a LOOP HOLE that helps them to ensure that they are not held liable for any unpleasnt user experiences. As a business owner, I would stay away from this site. They admit that I was scammed by two people and then I caught a third attempting to do the same. They do not care. They even screwed me with their refund policy and sided with the person who scammed my business. Now that person is going all over review sites and is falsely reporting what happened to make my business look bad.
Awesome site really makes going out to dinner cheap. More than half off my local sushi place :)
I think the previous reviewer is correct about sizing. Two of the dresses I ordered are way too big even though I measured myself, and they are marked 'no return'. I'm trying to talk to customer service because they were simply not as advertised.
I like ideeli and have spent a considerable amount there so far so I hope they will work with me.

I received the product DAMAGED! I tried to contact them and they say we apologize for any inconvenience but your item is not eligible... I say no I wanted the product it is just damaged. Again well sorry but your item is not eligible. So now Im stuck with a broken product. I will never use them again.
I am very disappointed in the Groupon customer service. It took the Groupon team 4 days to respond to my initial inquiry. This can be looked over. However, it would have been courteous to resend the missing order (that should have arrived 2 weeks prior to my missing order inquiry) via next day or 2-day delivery - instead they sent it to arrive within 2 WEEKS. If I had known that I would be waiting another 2 weeks on top of the already 2 week late order (in total 6 week wait time), I would not have purchased from Groupon. This was the last time I ordered from Groupon.
First deals for restaurant deals went absolutly fine! Just received "Pearl Jewelry Set – Online Deal" w black cultured pearls... wondering about lack of quality... at least 3 pearls had chips and large flaws... the braclet pearls look like they were flattened on 2 opposite sides! Also very dirty and dusty. Looked much better after I dry scrubbed them with a soft brush and then hand polished each pearl with a soft cloth I had sprayed Lemon Pledge on... what does one want for $30.00... there was a tag inside saying the pearls were "examined and valued by the "... GIA Pearl Value Factors"" Value $295.00 - wow

I used to love the site - good customer service, great offers. But too many times now I purchase a good and after the allotted time stated for shipping, I get an email saying the product is delayed... and then another one... and then a receive an email saying Whoops, we oversold... no product for you, here is a refund. The last two times that happened the good was a gift for a friend - the same friend - so both times I had to say "Your gift will be late" and then "Sorry, no gift, let me make it up to you." It is arguable whether this is Groupon's fault or not but there should be something in place - worked out with Groupon and the company selling products on Groupon - to ensure that this doesn't happen. I also had an issue where I purchased a custom-made good (on 1minime.com - don't EVER go there - it is truly a scam - not just saying that, read through hundreds of reviews later stating that they, too, were scammed by this company) then paid above and beyond the purchase price for shipping and other features, only to have the product never get made and the company refuse to refund my money and then refuse to write me back (long story short - I purchased a custom bobble-head in December. Ordered it in February, still had not received it or a refund by September - had to file through my credit card company and Paypal - it was a mess) Groupon was helpful (refunded my Groupon price) but was unable to get the rest of my money refunded - I understand that they really did try to help but if they are facilitating business transactions on their site then they need to be a little more critical of who they do business with. Again - used to love Groupon but sadly, too many issues now.
I saw a Groupon for a local Pilates studio. I had been in several car accidents over several years, and though NOT physically injured at present, I am inflexible with little muscle tone. I took advantage of their "Ask a Question" and stated my physical condition, and asked if I would be able to take their class. The studio said "Yes, take a beginners class". I looked at their schedule and they had a morning class. When it came time to redeem the Groupon, the last day before expiring, I went to sign up and saw that they no longer have that class. I contacted Groupon and explained that what I bought is not offered any longer. They responded the next day- "sorry, your Groupon expired" (It didn't when I sent the email!) Also, "we see that they have an Open Class". They totally disregarded that I bought the Groupon based on a day time beginners class that is no longer offered. So, Groupon got paid, the pilates studio got paid, I got screwed.
The quality of their merchandise is deplorable. Stay away from the unknown brands, they look nice on screen but you will get k-mart quality and pay more. Even after I realized this, I stuck to better known brands and received some damaged/defective merchandise. At first I thought they were flukes so I continued to order (lured by their low prices) and it became a running joke:
-A sweater with one sleeve longer than the other
-A dress with a hem that completely unraveled
-A dress that was about three sizes too large (wrong tag?)
-A top with one armhole longer than the other and twisted/lopsided
-A mirror very unevenly painted and broken
CS hassled me every time for my shipping refund. Had to email pictures and wait days for reply and return approval. Received "courtesy credit" of $25 each time which was just bait for me to order more defective merchandise. NEVER SHOPPING THERE AGAIN

Generally speaking, I have been an ideeli customer for quite a while now, and have made numerous purchases. There have been a few issues with shipping, but they were resolved in the end after conversing with customer care.
The clothes I've purchased were always pretty true to the photographs and descriptions. Sometimes the fit is still a little off, but 9 out of 10 times they fit as expected and I end up loving my purchases. There have been some great finds in the home section as well.
I've noticed the selection goes from really good to pretty "meh." Some days I have to try really hard to whittle down the items in my cart, but there are times where I browse everything and nothing looks that great.
I've also made several returns, each was completed without too much trouble. I've noticed that recently, it's been taking longer and longer to have the return credit or refund issued. Hopefully they can get on the ball with that again, as returns used to be completed quickly.
I have had two bigger shipping issues and had to have some drawn out exchanges with customer care, but in the end they were able to resolve the problems.
As for the customer care reps, I've done the live chat several times and have had pleasant reps assisting me. The wait time for the chat has been pretty good, usually only a couple of minutes. The email exchanges were also quick and helpful. There has only been one rep, out of several that I've had contact with, who was off-putting and somewhat rude on live chat; I ended up just emailing ideeli and another rep helped me out very nicely.
To sum up, I would recommend ideeli as it does have a pretty good selection most of the time, good discount/prices, good customer service with returns, and friendly/efficient customer service. It's not perfect, but nothing that terribly detracts from shopping there. It is one of my go-to flash sale sites, and I like it more than most of the other ones.

I think the concept is great. The website looks clean. But they just don't have good offers. Nothing really that special anyway. So I unsubscribed myself from their deals.

Wow, never knew how Groupon worked til I read this page. I've personally gotten a deal here once for one of my favorite restaurants. Seems like they need to work on their customer service for businesses that advertise with them though...
Answer: Yes, Groupon is legit. You need to read the fine print before ordering live event tickets- -they will not refund your money even if it's there fault. I only buy tickets for activities that don't expire or you can use the purchase price towards a non-Groupon service the vendor offers. Hope this helps.
Answer: Yes, report it but using social media is a very effective way to get a companies attention. Spread the word, Groupon does not honor returns!
Answer: I usually call the merchants I am interested in before buying the coupons, and ask them if the groupon coupons work, and how much more I have to pay. You could do the same, contact the merchants you are interested in and ask them how groupon works for them?

Answer: I wish I could say why, but a solution might be to contact Call Curtis, or your local News station that helps with consumer issues. They always seem to get fast resolutions, because companies hate BAD TV PUBLICITY.

Answer: The one I took by Holly and Hugo at least were I would research the company before buying. Also about twice a year they put all their courses for $5! I got mine completed it and it helped boost my resume and I was able to get a vet assistant job pretty quickly compared to before where I only got a call back from about one place which didn't lead anywhere. :) hope I could help!
Answer: Well, it's not Ideeli anymore... it's been Ideel for about a year now I think. Yes, there is a customer support phone number. I've had nothing but good experiences from Ideel in all regards - product satisfaction, price, shipping, etc. - but I've never had to contact customer service so I don't know what you'll get, but they're phone number is (888) 835-1719.
Answer: They are the absolute worst about answering customer service complaints. They will lie, they literally told me customer service reps were out sick, thus no answer to my emails for about 2 weeks. But, don't loose hope, the DAY I posted a review on this site, they answered AND gave me a 25.00 credit for my trouble. So write a review on Site Jabber with all the details and a bet a manager will answer promptly. As this is their way, I NEVER ordered from the site again after at least 3 years of orders. Good Luck and don't leave a sordid detail out of your complaint.
