I bought a groupon offer for a specific restaurant and restaurant went out of business.
I have been asking for refund since I didn't get a chance to use the offer(it is still valid) but they keep saying can't refund or give me credit.
I bought a "resort stay voucher" for $400. They would not redeem my voucher - what a scam - if you look at their "resorts" definitely not worth it even if they were honest.
Don't purchase tickets (G Passes) through them... they can't follow through and you'll end up missing the show! To top it off... they don't follow up, apologize or make it up to you!
This is the WORST company EVER. They are out to RIP OFF small businesses. If Groupon wonders why their stocks have taken a dive it is most likely because no small business that makes them successful will ever work with them again.
People were coming in and behind my back going to groupon and stating that they did not receive the services OR they received the services and gave some lie as to why they should have a refund, which was in their policy guidelines. For example, "It was no longer accessible?" What? The woman came in did a partial redemption and then sold her car! That is NOT the fault of the business. They called GROUPON and groupon NEVER called me the merchant to verify ANYTHING.
They simply penalized me ECONOMICALLY, for someone elses lies. I was then told that I would BE PAID for everyone. It has been months and I have not been paid! They deliberately LIED to me so that I would not rock the boat. My office gave FREE dental cleanings to so many people the company got screwed by GROUPON.
We have standards to maintain such as sterilization equipment. Your health costs us money we can not go when somethings breaks down or needs repairs and rip that business off!
GROUPON NEEDS TO BE STOPPED THEY ARE ONLY OUT FOR THEMSELVES, LIE TO BUSINESS OWNERS NOT A REPUTABLE COMPANY AT ALL. Look at their position on the stock market. Why has it gone down so much so as compared to other sites? Why as they are robbing the small businesses that make them money!
We decided to take the people who did a partial redemption and then called for a refund to collections. They then threatened to have our license as professionals revoked by lying to regulatory bodies.
It is amazing how this company survives as they are biting the hand that feeds them!

I really like this site. I get the vouchers right on my phone and the the businesses take them straight from my phone. My orders for goods come in quickly. I had a problem with one order and customer service took them back and I got credit. I didn't use a voucher once and I got reimbursed for the full price I paid for the voucher.
Like any place you buy from you need to research what you are buying and make sure it is not being sold elsewhere for less.
I purchased a voucher from groupon for 6 treatments of IPL costing approx £129. However after my first treatment, the beauticians were clearly RIPPING ME OFF by placing restrictions on the treatment areas just so i would buy extra treatments for those areas they should be doing with the voucher i purchased. After my 1 AND ONLY TREATMENT i contacted groupon and requested a refund of my voucher. They told me to contact the beauticians to request refund although i had tried that by emailing and leaving them messages, which they did not respond to. Groupon agreed to contact the beauticians on my behalf and over a week later told me i could not get a refund as this had to be approved by the beauticians! Groupon offered me £10 voucher instead! I was INSULTED, OFFENDED, and DISMAYED by GROUPON'S decision. They expected the beauticians to agree they were ripping me off, for me to get a refund, which is LUDICROUS and ABSURD. Groupon are quite happy to take your money and to affiliate themselves with businesses that are UNSCRUPULOUS, AND UNPROFESSIONAL. Poor service costs me £129.00 but costs groupon only £10!
DO NOT BUY VOUCHERS FROM GROUPON. THEY USE CROOKED, DECEITFUL DODGY BUSINESS LEAVING CUSTOMERS AT THEIR MERCY.
I have purchased Groupon Now groupons several times, and usually when I buy for salon services, there are NO appointments available that day. Sometimes they even offer them on Mondays when the salon is closed! This last time, they charged me $80, and of course I couldn't get an appointment, so it expired. It has been one week, and they still haven't refunded my credit card. They say they have, but it isn't showing up. My Visa account NEVER takes a week to process a refund. They're just borrowing money from consumers by offering Groupons for services that are NOT available.
I have bought only local deals but have not had one problem. I have used it for restaurants, hair salons, house cleaning, and Ballet tickets. As a matter of fact, my $118 tickets to the ballet for $59 was 4 rows center from the stage. A friend bought hers and payed full price and was 31 rows back. She wasn't happy that we got the tickets along with dvd's for both of us for what she paid for 1 ticket.
I ordered a 3 piece luggage for $255 and a single luggage was shipped to me instead. In addition, the luggage was suppose to be white, but it's got dirty marks on it already. I contacted customer service via e-mail. Even though I got a automatic response that a response will be provided within 1 day, it has been 4 days and I have yet to hear back.
I bought a cashmere cape with fox fur trim for $499. Instead i was sent a gray cheap dress! I called 3 times and sent 6 emails regarding this matter. They would not credit my card till they received the wrong merchandise back, as though the dress was worth $499. They also will not credit the $10 shipping they charged me for sending the wrong merchandise. I have purchase so much merchandise from them but as soon as something goes wrong you do not hear back from them. The recording says they will call back in 24 hours yet 2 weeks later no call! Do not buy from them!

I tried to use 2 different credit cards and got a whole bunch of errors. The first time I tried to order from them, they sold out of the item and then sent me an email saying - sorry! I am officially never shopping here again

Not always the cheapest but bargains to be had and unique offers by email daily. Used many times and not yet disappointed.
Their customer service is terrible! I recently returned an order and they incorrectly issued a store credit instead of the refund that I requested. When I contacted customer service to correct the problem, I dealt with a snarky, condescending woman who was less than apologetic. She offered to submit my concern for investigation, but apparently could not do anything else for me. When I explained that I would prefer to have the problem fixed immediately so I could make another purchase, she stated that I should hold off on any purchases because "we don't want another problem, do we?" After my concern was investigated, I received an email assuring that my credit card would be refunded. After a month and no refund, I contacted customer service again and dealt with another rude customer service representative who finally figured out what was going on, stated he would have the refund reissued, and then hung up on me. Needless to say, I won't be doing business with them again, there are plenty of other deals websites out there.

I have tried this website several times and bought several products from Groupon Goods. The deals initially look great but each time I have received my product, the quality has been unsatisfactory, something I would not even pay any money for. The quality is so bad that the only explanation is that they are giving Groupon customers defective goods, things that would usually make it to an outlet store or not be sold otherwise. So if you look at the actual product you are receiving against the groupon deal, it is not a good deal at all. For this reason I have made the decision to not purchase another product.

I bought a coupon for a service from a local area company and when I went to make an appointment to use the service the web site stated they were no longer honoring Groupon coupons and to notify Groupon for a refund. We called the local company and they said "they were in a legal dispute with Groupon and were not going to use them any more" In Groupons defense this companies reviews have really gone way down this past year and this may be part of the issue. Anyhow we thought oh great it is going to be a problem and we thought Groupon would not help us out. WRONG! Groupon's customer rep Cassie was so helpful and friendly.
She made the process so easy and I had my refund that day on my CC. Will now have no problem using Groupon.
I had purchased several groupons without any problem besides month long shipping times. Since I trusted the site, I decided to buy a more expensive groupon, (Lasik surgery) I've always wanted lasik, and since I could get it for a few hundred $$ off, I figured now would be a good time. Unfortunately my card was declined, even though I had plenty of money in my account. I called my bank and to check for issues, and then called groupon after updating my payment information.
Unfortunately Groupon said there is absolutely nothing they could do to help. Apparently the groupon had expired, even though I had it under "my groupons". Whenever I clicked to update the payment, I would go to the home page. I wasn't offered any help at all. I will never purchase from groupon again.
The first thing i bought took a month to arrived, second one was k but the thrid one was the expensive one i didn't even get a tracking confirmation and when i contac customer support they always say that they don't know anything about it and keep waiting
Used Groupon for first time to book a vacation. Unfortunately, the business, LostTravel, Inc, is a scam. Groupon did refund the money I paid to them, which I appreciated, but the other fees, taxes, etc that I paid to company, have not and probably will not see again. I called Groupon to complain about this company but they seemed disinterested at best. My problem with Groupon is that the company is still offering deals on their site. I have heard of other people who booked travel with this company through Groupon and had similiar problems.
Shipping address to my daughter was different than MY cc address so they cancelled and called it fraud and cancelled my order after charging my cc. Then offered me a different product for $100 more dollars
I've only used them a few times and each time there was a problem. You only get so many tries and if you can't provide good service you are out.
Two of the problems resulted in a refund which took months and many calls to actually receive. Both were b'day presents that i then had to go make other plans for.
Your company is crap and i wouldn't continue shopping/eating anywhere else that couldn't do what it said. Good riddance.
Answer: Yes, Groupon is legit. You need to read the fine print before ordering live event tickets- -they will not refund your money even if it's there fault. I only buy tickets for activities that don't expire or you can use the purchase price towards a non-Groupon service the vendor offers. Hope this helps.
Answer: Yes, report it but using social media is a very effective way to get a companies attention. Spread the word, Groupon does not honor returns!
Answer: I usually call the merchants I am interested in before buying the coupons, and ask them if the groupon coupons work, and how much more I have to pay. You could do the same, contact the merchants you are interested in and ask them how groupon works for them?

Answer: I wish I could say why, but a solution might be to contact Call Curtis, or your local News station that helps with consumer issues. They always seem to get fast resolutions, because companies hate BAD TV PUBLICITY.

Answer: The one I took by Holly and Hugo at least were I would research the company before buying. Also about twice a year they put all their courses for $5! I got mine completed it and it helped boost my resume and I was able to get a vet assistant job pretty quickly compared to before where I only got a call back from about one place which didn't lead anywhere. :) hope I could help!
Answer: Well, it's not Ideeli anymore... it's been Ideel for about a year now I think. Yes, there is a customer support phone number. I've had nothing but good experiences from Ideel in all regards - product satisfaction, price, shipping, etc. - but I've never had to contact customer service so I don't know what you'll get, but they're phone number is (888) 835-1719.
Answer: They are the absolute worst about answering customer service complaints. They will lie, they literally told me customer service reps were out sick, thus no answer to my emails for about 2 weeks. But, don't loose hope, the DAY I posted a review on this site, they answered AND gave me a 25.00 credit for my trouble. So write a review on Site Jabber with all the details and a bet a manager will answer promptly. As this is their way, I NEVER ordered from the site again after at least 3 years of orders. Good Luck and don't leave a sordid detail out of your complaint.
