I use groupon quite regularly and they offer a good source of information on deals and sometimes, you find a gold nugget where there is 90% off something that you can buy then sell on ebay for 100% or more profit!
I use Groupon very often and have for several years now. I enjoy the great deals they offer. Their customer service also takes care of me when I have a problem.
Make sure that you read the fine print before purchasing.

Tried for an hour to place an order, can't find phone number to talk to live person, can only live chat or email. They (2 different reps) could not figure out why their site would not process my order. After reading all the comments here & Consumer Affairs glad the order didn't go through. Would NOT recommend, use Jet.com have had great experience with them
Lots of great deals. Been using it for ages. Available in most cities that I travel to.
The only thing that should be more clear is with restaurants: dates (and times) when deal doesn't apply is not stated visibly enough. I was "caught" booking a dinner this way few times. Had to get a refund. This can be easily avoided.
Either way, a good company.
This was a scam. I didn't save anything at all. Paid full price just gave 1/2 to Groupon for no reason and 1/2 to the merchant who actually did the work. Would not recommend and tried getting some type of refund from Groupon and of course not. What a joke!
Groupon customer service is horrible. You can't actually call them, you have to request a call or chat with someone. It is extremely easy to accidentally buy something but very difficult to exchange or refund things. They don't offer that many good deals anyways and I personally will not be using their service again.

Then make the decision for yourself being fully informed of what you are getting. I got a decent deal for myself, but I have a friend who just got screwed over by groupon.
For the most part, Groupon is good at providing a variety of deals, and keeping them valid.
However, I have encountered several times where they mark my deal as redeemed when I haven't redeemed or gone to the business yet. Groupon has a problem of issuing duplicate numbers, so 2 or more people may have the same voucher number.
So when 1 person goes to redeem their, everyone else's voucher that has the same number is marked as "redeemed". And when you try to fight with Groupon about it, they just say it's marked as redeemed.
My credit card company refunds me about 90% of the time when this happens. Lesson: Groupon needs better record keeping.
Don't use them, they take forever to ship, even miss their own "estimated ship time", they send the wrong items, make mistakes in billing, and have bad customer service. Do not use them because you will spend countless hours trying to resolve your problems with idiots who just don't care!
My first time using Groupon there was an amazing deal on teeth whitening. I tried to pay with my Health Savings debit card, but I guess it could not be processed. I was pretty upset about missing out on the deal a few days later, but the folks at Groupon pulled some strings and got me the coupon despite being past the deadline. They seem like the kind of company who will really work hard to make things right with the customer and I will certainly stick with them!
Purchased four items from this site. Found out that each item comes from different companies that they partnered up with. Two out of four got shipped and arrived on a timely manner. The other two have horrible tracking information and both items look like they have not even been processed since Dec. 2 when I did purchase the items. When I called to talk to somebody from Groupon.com I was on hold for 11 minutes and was disconnected. I tried recalling again and est. Time was 27 min. No Thank You! Never buying from this company again! Feel like this site can scam anyone and after reading the reviews. A lot of them are negative! Beware!
Bought a deal Friday for Ian's Oven, a restaurant we've been to many times(food is good). Owner of restaurant, John, refuses to honor the coupon saying it's the wrong one. Wants us to buy other exact same deal from other site. We say no way. Husband contacts Groupon today for a refund or a credit since owner of restaurant refused to honor their coupon. Groupon says tough luck, all sales final. So we are stuck with a worthless deal that we paid $15 for and we had to pay our meal bill to boot.
Not at all happy and don't care to ever use groupon again or go to Ian's Oven(unless they get a new owner).
I was a Groupon merchant years ago and everything was great. I just went back to a salon after the pandemic wanting to rebuild my clientele and Groupon has been stealing from me! They've been collecting money from my sales, taking their 50% and then helping themselves to more! 1 2 week pay period they took their 50 plus an extra $115.00. I'm a very small business and they are getting away with ripping people off! I call and email but the out of country customer support just ignores, deletes and shoes you away.
There needs to be a stop to this!
Groupon is a horrible company. The customer support services are dismissive and rude. They are not willing to help at all and don't care about people circumstances. I will no longer be using there services.
I have ordered 4 items (as of today) and have loved everything... when you purchase an item, they show on the side of the order when it will be shipped (usually in a month or so) so it's not a quick turnaround but that's totally fine by me... I think the quality is definitely there and the prices are great... i have nothing bad to say and i actually really appreciate that they check this site and care about negative comments.

I dislike this site. Deals look good from afar, but really read the fine print. You can negotiate a deal your self, and often there is nothing but now they have your email address so they can send you thirty crappy deals a day. I find my box full of their worthless emails. They do not seem to understand opt out! Good luck with the messy groupon.
I have ordered a couple of times from ideel. While I've been satisfied with the quality of products sold, their delivery estimates are way off. I've been waiting for a package that I ordered 3 weeks ago. Contacted customer service and they were nice to send me an updated tracking number according to which the package left their company 2 weeks later than the shipping confirmation email was sent. In all honesty, I didn't expect a quick delivery, but 3+ weeks to receive an order is ridiculous, considering they ship from the US.

I have purchased from here a few times and that last 2 times have been horrible. First of all CHECK THE PRICE AT CHECK OUT. I went to but something for $14.99 and when I got to checkout it was $54.99. Its a joke. Also check its in Canadian or American dollars.
Next, 2 things I purchased I never received. Trying to contact this company is a nightmare. No phone number so you have to send an email and hope they get back to you.It might be easier to give up and save the stress.
If you need to return something then don't. Again another nightmare.
I will never buy from this company again.
Honestly I am impressed at how bad of an experience I've had with my very first time using Groupon. The item I've purchased still isn't here, and was ordered mid-February. The carrier has moved the item to every city but mine. They tried to double charge me for another item, by removing a 10$ coupon that was sent to me from Groupon! My initial reaction is what a poorly managed site by a greedy crooked company.
Answer: Yes, Groupon is legit. You need to read the fine print before ordering live event tickets- -they will not refund your money even if it's there fault. I only buy tickets for activities that don't expire or you can use the purchase price towards a non-Groupon service the vendor offers. Hope this helps.

Answer: I usually call the merchants I am interested in before buying the coupons, and ask them if the groupon coupons work, and how much more I have to pay. You could do the same, contact the merchants you are interested in and ask them how groupon works for them?

Answer: I wish I could say why, but a solution might be to contact Call Curtis, or your local News station that helps with consumer issues. They always seem to get fast resolutions, because companies hate BAD TV PUBLICITY.

Answer: The one I took by Holly and Hugo at least were I would research the company before buying. Also about twice a year they put all their courses for $5! I got mine completed it and it helped boost my resume and I was able to get a vet assistant job pretty quickly compared to before where I only got a call back from about one place which didn't lead anywhere. :) hope I could help!

I've had nothing but good experiences from Ideel in all regards - product satisfaction, price, shipping, etc. - but I've never had to contact customer service so I don't know what you'll get, but they're phone number is (888) 835-1719.
Answer: They are the absolute worst about answering customer service complaints. They will lie, they literally told me customer service reps were out sick, thus no answer to my emails for about 2 weeks. But, don't loose hope, the DAY I posted a review on this site, they answered AND gave me a 25.00 credit for my trouble. So write a review on Site Jabber with all the details and a bet a manager will answer promptly. As this is their way, I NEVER ordered from the site again after at least 3 years of orders. Good Luck and don't leave a sordid detail out of your complaint.
