Won't go into details but it's been nearly 4 months since report took place and no word back. Since it is not a low level phone fraud it looks to me that whoever was reviewing it doesn't like too complex work and decided to click on DEL button instead.

I cant count number of cheap tickets I booked thanks to skyscanner. I booked one just 3 days ago: D

Best prices even when you compare the results to competitors like kayak etc. Lots of useful search options such as searching without final destination (just pick a country or type in Everywhere). Brilliant for anyone looking for travel inspiration

Every bitcoin enthusiast must have a bit of goodness in his heart and this goes all the way to Overstock's CEO who was one of the leaders in adopting bitcoin at the early stage.

Lots of great deals. Been using it for ages. Available in most cities that I travel to.

The only thing that should be more clear is with restaurants: dates (and times) when deal doesn't apply is not stated visibly enough. I was "caught" booking a dinner this way few times. Had to get a refund. This can be easily avoided.

Either way, a good company.

  • Airbnb

I've been using the page for a while. Never had any issues after booking confirmation.

Sometimes hosts cancel but you can't blame Airbnb for that. Money is always returned within minutes.

Pros: Available everywhere, easy to book, funds protection

Cons: Can be a bit pricey in some cities (2x hotel price) yet very cheap in others.

In general I recommend Airbnb to everyone. Great alternative to hotels and money stays within local community :)

I was a seller for few months. Not a single complaint from a client etc. Everyone was happy. Then suddenly account gets blocked without explanation. First I thought it's a technical error.

I called up the customer rep and was told that someone will call be back within 2 days. No one ever called.

I repeated the above about 5 times. No one ever got back to me.

I thought that my account got hacked and sent a letter directly to Amazon UK. Just like with the phone calls, they didn't bother to respond. It became obvious that the company has something to hide.

I have a reason to believe that I was a victim of discrimination and they don't want to admit that so I can't sue them.

I spoke to a lawyer about the whole thing and I requested copy of my documents via letter. They refused to provide me with information whom should I address in that letter (so called data controller) which is already an offence in the EU. I got it somehow and sent a letter but just like before they ignored it (offence number two: they're legally obliged to respond within 40 days)

I had to use legal letter to get ANY response. Their response was that they wouldn't give me anything until I verify my ID. So I did. Now they request a copy of my lease: D

I believe I'm on something here. A company that doesn't have anything to hide doesn't act like that so I will continue my journey.

Also as a way of saying thank you for their cooperation I will be creating a special website and facebook page which guides people on how to get their information from them step by step, for free.

  • NETELLER

I added funds via Bitcoin and have no access to it. I can't spend it, withdraw it via ATM or anything. I have a positive balance but have no access to funds.

I called up their help line and I've been told that I can only spend bitcoin funded cash at some of their selected merchants (mostly casinos). Also I cannot withdraw it to the bank account!

The only way to have the money refunded is to close an account... WTF?

  • Stripe

5/6/16

A bit shocking from a company that prises itself with security.

I had a business account, I was selling electronics. Few a scammer (I figured later that it's the same person each time) tried to scam us. Each time we sent a refund to the credit card scamer used (seems to be stolen)

Each time we sent an email to Stripe with all details of transaction and correspondence we had with the scamer to help them with figuring out how those scamers operate. We thought we're doing a good thing and Stripe seemed to appreciate the effort.

Suddenly our account got blocked for selling not original electronics. A bit ridiculous reason since we buy all electronics from either authorised agents or manufacturers themselves.

We were contacted and asked by Stripe to provide a letter from manufacturers that confirms that the products we sell are original. I said that I'll try to get it, though I've never heard of such letters before.

Their customer service rep promptly replied that we should start looking for new payments processor instead (!). They couldn't be more clear that we are no longer welcomed as customers.

They're not a bad company overall but my recommendation is do not try to help their frauds department! Do not send any emails or addresses recieved by scamer, just let the scamer keep scaming their customers, otherwise you might end up with your account blocked.

Prior to the above we had no problems with Stripe. All seemed to work well, payments paid out on time etc

  • Payoneer

5/6/16

I registered an account a month ago and submitted all required documents for verification, 2 weeks later still no approval. I thought maybe documents were not delivered properly, so I submitted all documents again. A week later still no approval nor sing of life from payoneer.

I decided to to send them an email. Received auto-response:

"Your question has been received. Your inquiry is important to us.
Our staff will contact you within 3 business days."

4 days later still no response. Looks like Payoneer stopped operating... or they're just that bad.

EDIT: Even more negative experiences after account approval.
