My wife was in a trip from Indianapolis, Indiana to Virginia Beach, Virginia purchased at the Indianapolis bus terminal. The bus kept breaking down causing her to miss her Columbus, Ohio transfer. The local agent issued a new ticket for 6 hours later. The buss driver said it wasn't any good. The next local agent said she needed to purchase a new ticket from Columbus to Virginia Beach. Thinking we could get a refund she purchased it. That bus kept getting delayed, an new ticket was issued by the Columbus local agent that also kept getting delayed. After being sranded 33 hours a family member from Youngs Town, Ohio picked her up and drove her half way meeting me to bring her home. Despite the issue was caused by Greyhound and nothing on any of their tickets saying no refund, they say their policy is no refund
This is the worst experience I've thus far. I stopped riding greyhound years ago because of all the problems I had. I decided to give it another chance today to complete a training objective for my daughter's service dog. The bus driver from New Orleans LA to Biloxi, MS was rude, arrogant, loud, and disrespectful. She had no regard for the disabled people trying to board nor my autistic daughter who ended up having an episode and was triggered because of her. Then the cleaners through our merchandise we had in our seats in the trash but denied it, so I guess it disappeared on its own. I'll never ever ride greyhound again!
Booking number *******528 I rode from Austin to Dallas May 15th. Departing Bus was 1.5 hours late, due to a breakdown on the road. I missed my connecting bus to Tyler by minutes in Dallas. Two young female customer support staff (both name starting with s) shouted insults as I tried to claim my seat on the next bus out. Which was leaving at 4 am. In the meantime, my luggage containing important meds was stolen. I screamed "Return it and no questions asked. I need my meds." Two minutes later I found near the exit, in tact. Need I go on? Find another transport means for your own mental health and physical safety. Greyhound has gone kaput from former days of glory!
There should have been free wifi on the bus. Driver said no wifi. I complained and asked for partial refund. They replied "our records indicate that this ticket is non-refundable and has no refund value. We regret to inform you that we are unable to accommodate your request."
Never again will I deal with Greyhound/flix. They cancelled my ride twice and now are refusing to give me my money back. They want to give me a stupid voucher for future use. In what alternate universe would make them think that I would ever do business with them. They are a piece of crap company that only cares about taking your money and filling their pockets. I had to go to Walmart to pay it also cause apparently they don't take cashapp.
Bus didn't show up. Dispatcher doesn't have a way to reach driver. Greyhound staff doesn't know where bus stop is. They gave me 3 addresses to try. I took Ubers costing me over a hundred bucks when the bus ticket was $25. After missing my bus again and again I was told that it's my own fault for being at the wrong stop, I was blamed for, I was left without cash for food, a dead cellphone, stranded in a city where I didn't know anybody. I swear by God's name and on the life of my dearest family I will never ride another Greyhound until the day my body becomes ashes. On top of all that they refused to refund me. It's cool, they can keep their dirty money and go f themselves.
This is the worst bus company in the world. I could have walk to my stop. The bus ran 3 hours late. Then they trick you in to buying a head of time to reserve seating. People in my two seat I paid for a bus driver said nothing. I would rather take a horse and buggie to get the faster and friendlier.
I went to Niagara Falls through Greyhound from NYC. It was an experience to say the least. The bus driver coming back did not speak any English so it was difficult to communicate with him to make sure we were taking the right bus back. He took a passenger who was not going the same route so we had to go back to drop him off and that made an already long trip longer! He didn't even stop to give clients a break in between that long 10 hour ride. Also the tickets we purchased are very misleading. It clearly states that we have movies to look at and games to play. We had neither! False information.

My trip with my 3 year old from New Mexico to Florida was Terrible. I had to get off the bus in fort worth because the driver said me and my sick son had to sit separately even though she was the only one to have a problem with it. There was many open seats, and the man who had the seat said he didn't mind, but she was very rude and didn't care what anybody had to say about it. So, at that point me and my son were both crying and had to get off the bus at 2am, in the cold. In the middle of all this we lost a bag, had to call the ambulance just so we could stay at the hospital for the night so he wouldn't be in the cold. Definitely won't use greyhound again.
Now I've been told they can't find my bag and when I've wrote back to greyhound about my experience they don't respond any more.
Had I have not had that terrible service in Fort Worth I never would have lost my bag period. That's not my fault that their driver had no people skills or customer service cares! I will never again and would not recommend. Waste of my money should have took the plane!
Hi my name is Vincent Seabron. My bus was leaving at 11:20 at Greyhound bus station Oklahoma City. I arrived at 11:10. I asked can I buy my ticket for that bus and he said 300 I said the fare is 143. He said and I quote I can do what I want. My bus was in the terminal and I was basically being financially bullied. This was the 10. The 11 I'm sitting outside and this same man says I was smoking weed and kicked me out the station. Later he changes his mind trip back on. Now to the 12 this man by this time knows my name and why this trip to d so important. Mind you 3 days. He allows me to over sleep knowing I had my disability hearing this was on purpose as I felt the entire day was.
TERRIBLE SERVICE, MY BUS DID NOT SHOW WAS STUCK IN THE RAIN FOR 1.5 HOURS, BUS FINALLY SHOWED UP AND THEY YELLED AT ME. PLEASE AVOID GREYHOUND AT ALL COST I BEG OF YOU JUST TAKE A FLIGHT IT'LL SAVE YOU THE STRESS. THEY DID NOT EVEN GIVE ME A REFUND FOR AVOIDING TO TAKE THE RETURN TRIP DESPITE CANCELLING IT HOURSSS PRIOR TO THE TRIP.
If I could rate no stars. The customer service if it isn't already illegal should be. I was accosted by the "security" at the dallas terminal on 205 s Lamar location.
No one could provide information which caused me to miss the bus.
I kept asking to go outside for my bus and the security yelled at me and told me to wait inside until he called us, making several of us to miss the bus. All because we used the "wrong"exit door he had us turn around and wait.
Upon returning inside to call customer service the security guards began to tell us since we no longer had a valid ticket we had to "get the f*** out of there".
I finally was able to speak with customer service and they do not offer a new bus ticket or refund. The ticket was not cheap at $120 I decided to fly southwest instead …Found a flight for $150.
I was not the only one who was treated this way, a gentlemen with his wife and 3 little girls and two older gentlemen also were forced to miss the bus. What kind of service is this?I would not recommend ever using this service. Use tornado bus, they offer customer service and don't treat their customer like prisoners. This experience was aggressive and humiliating.
Was notified 2 hours before my bus was supposed to depart that part of the trip was cancelled. Called customer service for help, I could barely understand the representative and he did not help me to fix my existing trip or even book another trip. I was charged an extra $72 to change my trip because I had to go online and change it myself, when I asked how they are going to help me, the representative kept putting me on hold without letting me know he was going to put me on hold. When I asked again how they were going to help me, I was ghosted. Will never do business with Greyhound again.
Absolutely POOR SERVICE! Bought a round trip, trip back to home bus never came, sent another bus. Then my physical and mental disabled passenger was told she would be left at a shell gas station if there was NO ROOM on the bus that was sent as a backup bus since their bus never came! The gas station are closed! Who does business like this? I want refund! As this is a Greyhound issue not the passengers.
The passenger I put on there also is known to have seizures due to panic attacks... which is what's she's doing... having a panic attack
Bus was seven hours late, which ruined my one night trip. The communication around this was terrible, I waited 4 hours before they told us it'd be 3 more, which meant my plans were no longer feasible. I wrote to customer service requesting a refund, they refused a refund or voucher of any kind, partial or full. Never doing this again, and warning all my friends.
Daytona Beach to Hollywood Fl, Fort Lauderdale back to Daytona Beach. 11/3/23-11/9/23
At 66 years old, I can honestly say this was the worst trip of my life. At 5:30am return trip, Fort Lauderdale has no station, just a bench with covering in an UNMARKED CONSTRUCTION SITE, SURROUNDED BY METH ADDICTS. NO GREYHOUND BUS SIGNS! No exaggeration.
Needing some help, the driver, put out by any question, rejected my (and another rider's) simple question, denied my passage, and I was left to wind through the addicts to the nearest store(my taxi had left).
I could go on about my extreme pain due to there incompetence, but please just let me say, never, never allow your friends and family to use this excuse for a bus line. Thank you
My husband bought a round trip ticket. It was departing on the day of the rain floods in NY. His bus was departing from Newark Penn Station. Bus was to leave at 5am. Got email delayed until 8:10am. Dropped him off, he waited over an hour and he and 2 other passengers left because no bus ever showed up, they didn't send a follow up email to say they're running late again. He had to Uber home to get his car to drive to Boston (destination). He obviously couldn't take the return bus home later that evening. We wrote to them, explained the situation and they responded that because they did not cancel, they could not refund. I told them no, you just didn't show up. Then they claimed to say the bust showed up shortly after my husband left. This is not true because we knew someone else waiting for bus and they never came. They lie and don't care how badly they inconvenience their customers. NEVER GO GREYHOUND EVER!
Greyhound SA couldn't be bothered anymore. Both Drivers & customer service shut you down immediately!
Passengers left stranded in Louisville, KY when relief driver just drove off without announcing departure. Lost my suitcase and carry-on, and all numbers I have tried to call go to the call center, which is not in this country and cannot help. Filed lost baggage claim, but have never heard back. NEVER AGAIN!
The greyhound trip my family and I had with you all was terrible. Well I was totally unaware that you all had assigned seats. I booked four tickets, not two. When my family and I got ready to get on the bus, the greyhound only gave my family and I two assigned seats. So that left my other two younger disabled kids to sit next to strangers far away from on the bus. My children are all under the age of 9. So it was a bit frustrating because my children had to sit far away from me with someone we don't know. The bus air conditioner was broken. Everyone complained to the bus driver that the air wasn't working. Her response was to deal with it. The bus was extremely disgusting and not sanitized at all. The bus number #0836 air conditioning needs servicing. The whole entire ride the air conditioner didn't blow out from the vents at all. Also the bus broke down on the side of the freeway. It was a terrible experience dealing with a greyhound. The driver told me there was nothing she could do about my other two children getting a seat. The terminal's that we did go to didn't have any greyhound workers. To help me get my other two smaller children an assigned seat at least next or near me not far away behind the bus with strangers. Also you all don't tag your customers bags anymore so everyone's bags are mixed up. I had to constantly keep getting off the bus everytime it stopped to let passengers off to make sure our bags were still there which is a big inconvenience towards you all passengers. There was a person smoking vape on the bus which almost caused my asthmatic children to have an asthma attack. I'm sending over this email to request a full refund. My family and I were inconvenienced by Greyhound the whole entire trip. Also last but not least the plugs on this bus didn't work to charge your phone at all. My phone was dead the entire time until we stopped inside a greyhound terminal while we waited on our driver. The inconvenience that the greyhound put my family and I through was a terrible experience. I'm requesting a full refund for the inconvenience we went through while using y'all for transportation while we traveled.
Answer: No, there are no success stories. I would give the Colorado Springs Greyhound station a zero if I could. Where do I begin. I dropped a car off for a friend in Colorado Springs and was told there was a Greyhound Bus that went to Union Station in Denver. There were two leaving Saturday, Oct 5. One at 9:30 am and one at 9:40 am. 1. The bus station in Colorado Springs should be in the third world. Think Yemen, Somalia, Pakistan. Dirty. Smelled like body odor. None of the vending machines worked. The gate agent was overly involved in her iphone and wore a tshirt that said, "People are annoying, especially you." I am not making this up. 2. The 9:30 am bus showed up at 9:26. I wanted to get on it and get out of there but she said the 9:40 bus was right behind her. Wrong. 3. We waited until 10:00. I went to the surly gate agent and she said she did not know where the 9:40 bus was. I said do you have a tracker or a phone number to the driver? She could not be bothered and said it would be late. 4. I called customer service. After a 12 minute wait on hold, I was told there was a problem with the 9:40 bus and the next bus would be at 5:22 pm. That is right, almost 8 hours later. I told the customer service rep that we could have gotten on the 9:30 bus as it was almost empty and she said the gate agent should have coordinated that. I said I want a refund, and she said I had to call another greyhound number. I did and was on hold another 15 minutes. 5. Meanwhile I went into the gate agent, politely asked her to put her phone down and to do something to help the stranded people. I asked her why she did not put us on the 9:30 bus if she knew the next bus would be 8 hours late. She said the bus left early (it didn't) and the driver left before she had a chance to stop her. Both lies. She never left her seat or stopped texting on her phone. 6. I finally got through to one helpful agent. He took my number but said I would have to wait 24 hours to get a refund. NEVER, NEVER, NEVER give these people your business. They deserve to go out of business. I fly a lot on United and thought they were bad but Greyhound set a new record for poor customer service.
Answer: Report the no-show to a supervisor at your next stop.
