Take a plane. I was seven hours late the first driver was a nightmare! Treated like a prisoner not costomer! Then I had to find a ride for the last 79 miles or wait another 24 hours! I was supposed to be dropped off at the station 0.5 miles away from my house. They won't refund anything would have been better off walking! Worst experience of my life!
If there was an option 0 stars I would choose that one. Not only have we been left behind while waiting in the parking lot of a bus that left 20 minutes early but now we are dealing with a bus that just can't leave because there's no gas! Unbelievable! They recommended, rescheduling to get on the next bus and but also having to pay $20 to reschedule a trip that was canceled due to greyhounds fault (no gasoline in the bus). We have now been waiting 5 hours to get in the next bus but now we are told that one is late and we will have to wait 4 more hours. The service is awful there's no one to talk to except customer service on the phone who have no idea and really can't help. I feel this happen only to the less fortunate those that don't have the means for another source of transportation. It is disrespectful and outright wrong.
Bought my brother a ticket from Lafayette Indiana to ft Meyers florida but he got sick and had to go in a Georgia hospital in Tifton ga 2 days after he got out of hospital greyhound refused to allow him back on the bus because he didn't catch the next bus to ft Meyers. Was he to bring his hospital bed with him? You people are ridiculous and ty for ripping me off and I will never use your company ever again!
They need a competitor that goes to ALL major cities. They us miss tryouts twice for being 5 hours late one day and 7 the next. NEVER using them again. I'd rather go to Grand Prairie and have the longer Lyft ride home than deal with them anymore!
TERRIBLE SERVICE, MY BUS DID NOT SHOW WAS STUCK IN THE RAIN FOR 1.5 HOURS, BUS FINALLY SHOWED UP AND THEY YELLED AT ME. PLEASE AVOID GREYHOUND AT ALL COST I BEG OF YOU JUST TAKE A FLIGHT IT'LL SAVE YOU THE STRESS. THEY DID NOT EVEN GIVE ME A REFUND FOR AVOIDING TO TAKE THE RETURN TRIP DESPITE CANCELLING IT HOURSSS PRIOR TO THE TRIP.
I paid round trip ticket for my boyfriend to go from Gary, Indiana to Bloomington, IN. And service was awful! It took him over 11 hours one way and 24 hours going back and customer service was horrible! Never again will I use Greyhound buslines! Should've refunded my money for sure….
First of all I booked this reservation on August 5th and i choose seats 9A and 9 B for myself and my husband so we could sit together. I PICKED those seats the website allowed me to pick them! We booked well in advance and received an invoice and receipt for our seats and reservation. Hours before our trip we received a email our seats were unassigned out of nowhere. Then sent a new ticket with no seats! How can you just unassigned our seats hours before our trip. I tried reaching out to the customer service number that is online, they were no help. I had to fill out a feedback survey and wait for them to reach back out to me. When they did they informed me they would not honor my reservation we booked in advance and informed us we never choose they seats they were auto generated, they actually were not. I went back and forth with the so called "customer service" they were absolutely no help not do they have a number to really call for immediate response. They just kept sending generic responses. This company is a scam i will never support them again. This now means we have no clue if we have seats at all. This is absolutely ridiculous.

At 66 years old, I can honestly say this was the worst trip of my life. At 5:30am return trip, Fort Lauderdale has no station, just a bench with covering in an UNMARKED CONSTRUCTION SITE, SURROUNDED BY METH ADDICTS. NO GREYHOUND BUS SIGNS! No exaggeration.
Needing some help, the driver, put out by any question, rejected my (and another rider's) simple question, denied my passage, and I was left to wind through the addicts to the nearest store(my taxi had left).
I could go on about my extreme pain due to there incompetence, but please just let me say, never, never allow your friends and family to use this excuse for a bus line. Thank you
I purchased a ticket leaving from Durham, NC at 11:40pm on 3/16. I optioned to receive an e-ticket which allows to have an access 2 hours prior to departure (3/16 after 9:40pm). I waited for a bus at the station about an hour. When the delayed bus arrived (now it's 3/17 at 12:40am), I pulled up my e-ticket to get on. The bus driver refused it very rudely because my e-ticket showed a 3/16 12:10am departure which was almost a day ago. I tried to explain that must be an ticketing error, but he didn't care and just drove off. I contacted customer service via e-mail ( only option that I was given). After a few days later I got a response stating that I don't even get a refund for it! They completely dismissed their error! It's so unreal this company still exist.
This is an absolutely wretched company that has no right doing business in the United States. I booked a ticket to be picked up in Huntsville, Alabama to Columbus, Ohio in May if 2022. I showed up at the pickup point in a gas station parking lot. There were probably about ten other people there as well. We all waited for a good hour and a half past the pickup time before were told that the bus had driven by our stop and it was on its way to the next one in Nashville. I was told by some of the people waiting that this oñwas the second night in a row it had done this. I ended up catching an Uber back to a relative's house where u had been staying. I tried contacting Greyhound for a refund and they told me one wasn't available because I had paid a reduced fee. This company is an absolute joke. I will never ever try to use their service again.
Greyhound lost my luggage, bus was old, no WiFi, no movies, no air conditioning. Rude unhelpful drivers, bus reeked of urine, bus was late so I missed my connecting buses TWICE! Customer service is a joke. No English speaking agents.
I'd like to express my disappointment with Greyhound's bus. I got this bus from LA to Frenso-CA. It was above 100 degrees outside here in Central California, the bus was almost full and the AC is just not working. It was extremely hot in the bus and there is nothing we could do. Terrible experience, A pregnant woman and another passenger with congestive heart failure, both feeling bad and the bus kept going. After about the second stop, the bus just shuts down. Everyone had to stand out of the bus in the middle of a highway for about one hour waiting for another bus to pick us up. Driver was not really helpful and did not answer the questions. She kept calling supervisors and different people but not giving attention to the costumers. I don't believe it's fair to pay what I paid to get this kind of service. I booked my trip weeks in advance only to get to the bus station and waited several hoursmy pick up time was at 10:30 PM the bus never arrive I was there till three in the morning with two children and when I tried contacting them for a refund they told me that I was not able to get a refund that they don't see my ticket. So basically what Greyhound is saying is my emotions are not a viable reason to be able to bring a esa onboard. So my emotions due to PTSD is not a viable reason to bring me esa on board with me? So you guys basically really don't care if somebody snaps. You guys are basically saying that you guys don't give a flying f*** if somebody snaps and beats the f*** out of somebody maybe another passenger or maybe your driver. But yet that could be all avoided if you just let people bring their esa a board. Where do I BEGIN! F$&cking Greyhound should be called Prison hound. Nasty bus never cleaned, Covid passengers traveling with everyone else coughing with no mask. I boarded the bus healthy and ended up with severe allergic reaction to the dirt and muck! I also contracted Covid from the other nasty passengers who were allowed to board. Bus stunk of piss and $#*! mixed with bleach. Don't get me started on the bus stations. Atlanta stop is right across from a damn prison! Fist fights, a homeless encampment INSIDE the ATL bus station. It smells worse than a garbage bin. NEVER AGAIN! Random weirdo on the bus tried to run his nasty hands up my leg and nothing was done. Just avoid greyhound. If you want diseases and being a victim of every crime possible book Greyhound.

Greyhound is a bad choice for US Veterans! First, the company is no longer an American company it is owned and operated by FlixBus out of Germany. On June 27th, 2023, I paid a cash fare of $210.98 for a one-way trip from St. Louis, MO to Denver, CO -- BUT BUT BUT - the bus driver went to the wrong passenger gate and left several passengers stranded like a jilted bride standing at the alter! Now this stupid company will not refund my money because they pretend "that the bus left on time"! Greyhound will not take phone calls regarding complaints. The company insists on email only and will not respond in a rational manner. So if you served your Country like I did during the Vietnam era - take my advise - Greyhound will leave you stranded and keep your money and never bother to thank you for your service!

I'm presently right now in Atlantic City pick up at Tropicana Casino and my bus is supposed to be here at 12:59pm ready to go to NYC and still it's not here! Are you F**king kidding me!?!?!?!? You call this service and we pay our hard earn money!?!?!?!?!? My bus is the 8522 and still nothing! This is concerning. I normally don't write reviews but this time I know I have no choice. It was the worst experience ever. I was supposed to take 5 buses to get from Florida to Seattle (3 days of transportation). Instead, after only 10 hours on the road, our TWO buses (/2) BROKE DOWN and we had to stay inside a cold bus all night (with smoke coming out of the motor) on the side of a dark highway. No one explained to us what was going on and all of the staff was mean and hostile. They kept us locked inside and said we were not allowed to get off. It was extremely dangerous. The next morning, once we got towed and a new bus came, at the next bus station, I paid an Uber and got to the nearest airport and paid 400$ US for the next flight to Seattle because I knew I would never get to Seattle alive with Greyhound. I'm extremely disappointed and hope you guys decide to take AMTRAK instead (or a flight).
My wife and I bought round trip tickets to Tampa Bay from the Florida East Coast. Leaving the bus was 5 hours late. We had to transfer at Titusville and there was no bus. After hours they provided an Uber to Tampa. The return trip was not much better. At Titusville the transfer bus was hours late. Take AMTRAK if you can.
Answer: No, there are no success stories. I would give the Colorado Springs Greyhound station a zero if I could. Where do I begin. I dropped a car off for a friend in Colorado Springs and was told there was a Greyhound Bus that went to Union Station in Denver. There were two leaving Saturday, Oct 5. One at 9:30 am and one at 9:40 am. 1. The bus station in Colorado Springs should be in the third world. Think Yemen, Somalia, Pakistan. Dirty. Smelled like body odor. None of the vending machines worked. The gate agent was overly involved in her iphone and wore a tshirt that said, "People are annoying, especially you." I am not making this up. 2. The 9:30 am bus showed up at 9:26. I wanted to get on it and get out of there but she said the 9:40 bus was right behind her. Wrong. 3. We waited until 10:00. I went to the surly gate agent and she said she did not know where the 9:40 bus was. I said do you have a tracker or a phone number to the driver? She could not be bothered and said it would be late. 4. I called customer service. After a 12 minute wait on hold, I was told there was a problem with the 9:40 bus and the next bus would be at 5:22 pm. That is right, almost 8 hours later. I told the customer service rep that we could have gotten on the 9:30 bus as it was almost empty and she said the gate agent should have coordinated that. I said I want a refund, and she said I had to call another greyhound number. I did and was on hold another 15 minutes. 5. Meanwhile I went into the gate agent, politely asked her to put her phone down and to do something to help the stranded people. I asked her why she did not put us on the 9:30 bus if she knew the next bus would be 8 hours late. She said the bus left early (it didn't) and the driver left before she had a chance to stop her. Both lies. She never left her seat or stopped texting on her phone. 6. I finally got through to one helpful agent. He took my number but said I would have to wait 24 hours to get a refund. NEVER, NEVER, NEVER give these people your business. They deserve to go out of business. I fly a lot on United and thought they were bad but Greyhound set a new record for poor customer service.
