33 boxes in and my family still loves it. Consistently good produce, we had only once in the last year that a vegetable went bad before we made the meal. Very varied and many healthy options. Portions are just right for us. It has helped us save on take out tremendously, and so much tastier and healthy.

This was my second and last! My first came at night with cooler packs that were defrosted and hot food bags all wet n contents, too expensive for them to screw up! Stay way
They charged me for a box I didn't order. I tried to cancel like you can do with other services and that didn't work, I also.changed the shipping address since I'd moved to a different state since the first box I ordered and then canceled service...Yes I stupidly gave them a second chance...and then they ignored THAT and now the box I paid over $50 for is going to South Carolina today...IM IN MASSACHUSETTS! 😡😡😡😡😡😡😡
If I could give zero stars I would! I was looking around via FB ad. I was made to create an account to see food options. Wasn't my thing so I exited out of the app. Come to find out today that once you create an account whether you want the service or not or even like the food or not somehow they will sign you up and send you a box and charge your Apple account. I didn't like the food selections they had so I didn't make any food selections so I can say I'm pretty irritated that they sent a box of food I'm definitely not going to eat and won't give me a refund because I supposedly created a valid account. I have taken this up with Apple who said it wasn't the first time this has happened and has refunded me my money.

I first preheated oven for the chicken ricotta, no chicken so I opened the shrimp sou bag no shrimp, i am cancelling any future deliveries and requesting a refund

I had an old account before with them and registered a new card. They took from both account and stole 200$ from me. I will never order from them again. They said it was all legal and approved which I never did. Thieves
Poor customer service. Difficult to change / cancel. Never ever again! Expensive & small portions
I'm disgusted with Green Chef. Being forced to enter payment details just to view the menu should have been a major red flag, but I figured it was okay to go ahead. Upon realising I didn't like the recipes, I cancelled, WITH NO ITEMS IN MY ORDER, but they still charged me for a box of pre-selected meals that I never asked for. Their FAQs are useless and their "help" desk chatbot was worse. I'll never use a company like that again. Feels like a total rip-off.

Received my first box after trying to switch from Hello Fresh. Upon opening I noticed a rancid smell. My two bags of shrimp were completely thawed and both bags popped open ALL over my other bags of food. My two other items of meat were not frozen at all. Whoever packed my box did not do their diligence in ensuring the ice was packed correctly. All my food was covered in shrimp juice and warm. Will NOT be ordering from them again.

Do not use this meal service. On the app, it gives you an option to skip deliveries. Even though you selected, they will continue charging your week after week. This is not a reputable company. I will be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. They have charged me for three deliveries that I canceled. I had to cancel my credit card just saw that they can stop charging me. I attached a photo of my last gift delivery that they charge me $82 for. This company is trash.

I was going to try them out because I wanted a new option and I started signing up and then they ask for address and credit card THeN they show you the menu… I realized their menu palette is too complex for my needs and kid (eating with me) I went to cancel/deactivate it let me deactivate but forced me to get 3 meals still and I wasn't allowed to pick from them. Such a SCAM. Don't do it!
More often than not my boxes both while I was living I'm Vermont and North Carolina arrived days late as Green Chef uses FedEx ground residential delivery. Frequently the food was spoiled. The meats arrived warm as the ice packs had long thawed. I would not recommend this service.

I should have realised when it asked for your bank details before even showing you the menu that it was some form of scam. When I looked at the menu choices it was clear that I couldn't eat any of the meals (I am coeliac) so I immediately cancelled my subscription and deleted my account - this happened in the space of 10 minutes. This morning I woke up to an alert from my bank of a payment to this company. Attempted to use the online customer care - the bot is utterly unhelpful and there appears to be no email or phone number. Looks like I am not the only person to have this issue, absolutely disgusting.

I skipped 2 weeks and they sent out meals anyway. Said I didn't skip. Can't eat anything in the 3 meals they are sending out. $98 for 2 soup meals and one meal of shellfish which I do not eat. The company said they couldn't cancel or refund. I am so aggravated! I really believe it is a scam company. The one meal I've eaten from the first shipment was ranch steak and it was full of gristle. I would never recommend green chef. Please do yourself a favor and do not sign up.
I froze my account with green chef because it did not give me the option to cancel the account at that moment. Six weeks later on Feb 20 2023 I was charged for a box I did not request or receive and I received a second box on March 3 2023 that I did not request. I called to request a refund and they were rude and refuse to refund my account. I will never use this company again and I highly recommend everyone stay away because of the bad business practices. I did dispute the charges with my bank.
I would love to say the food was good, however, based on the condition of the packaging for the raw chicken and turkey meat the food would not be edible by anyone. The ice packs were completely melted as though the box of food had been sitting in the heat for days. The vegetables were clearly not fresh and even had mold on them, which would not be worth someone paying any money for. The pictures speak volumes for how bad of a condition the box of food arrived on Sunday late afternoon. If the delivery originated in Colorado it must have gone the longest route possible to get to Choctaw, Oklahoma. No one should be sent bad food but spoiled raw chicken and Turkey is unthinkable. I would not recommend this service to anyone, especially not someone with a major health that requires they eat healthy meals.

We tried the vegan 3 meal/week kit and all three pre selected recipes had rice as the main side (you can pre-select your meals, but there are really only 3-5 vegan options each week.) Like Hello Fresh, the recipes were easy to follow and enjoyable, and delicious! The issue came in when I saw the supposed calorie count for each recipe: 720 per serving (squash risotto bowl) 800 (cauliflower Baja rice bowl) and 1200 for a kale and bean soup, I called bull$#*!. When I did the actual calculations for each recipe, they were maybe half the calories indicated. Even with a generous discount, we still paid $8/meal and were left hungry at the end. I literally lost a pound and a half this week and I am trying to gain weight. Rip off for sure.

I signed up with Greenchef only to have them fail to deliver food boxes 2 weeks in a row while charging me for both weeks. I had to spend more than an hour on the phone trying to get a refund while they hung up on me twice. Then I was told it would take 10 days for them to refund my money. BEWARE. They will charge you and not deliver any product. What a tragic scam.

I had subscribed to the Paleo/Keto plan for around 10 boxes. In general, the recipes are great - creative, very flavorful, and easy to prepare. On the downside though is that the content of the box, the freshness of the food, and the timing of the delivery was inconsistent. At least half my boxes had a missing ingredient, was late, or had spoiled produce. At the high price per meal, I expect perfection! Also, I would like to see more protein in the paleo/keto box - most meals come with 5 oz of protein, which could be less than 4 oz after liquid is removed from packaging.
My solution - use the recipes and buy my own ingredients (with 6-8 oz of protein). It's hard to substitute some of the sauces but I've been able to find reasonable facsimiles from Whole Foods and/or Trader Joe's.

Tip: The next order is locked the day of delivery of the previous order. To avoid getting boxes and charges you don't want, when you put your first order in, put a hold on the future orders. Then you can decide on your own time if you want to continue the program.

This program is the worse. You have to put in your card details before you can view the menu. Then I decided to not proceed with green Chef. And a week later my card got charged. Good luck talking to a manager, apparently there isn't one and they take your name and number down for them to call you back. Honestly got real sketchy vibes from the whole ordeal.
Absolutely disgusting company practices, I would leave 0 stars if I could. Their competitors notify you when you have to cancel by, but this company keeps it hidden and will not allow you to cancel even hours after the deadline. Customer service is useless and cannot get anything done. Only way this company is above water is by scamming people.

Food is pretty good. However, orders frequently arrive with missing ingredients or rotten ingredients. Last straw was missing protein in a meal. Customer service said all they could do was refund the cost of what was missing. What do we do with the rest of the package? Full refund not available. Been with them for a year. Will never go back. Looked at Hello Fresh and guess what - they own Green Chef.
