Company going downhill fast

I have been a customer with GotPrint since 2017 and have recommended them to numerous people for printing needs because I was impressed by their quality and price. Even though we were never provided customer appreciation discounts or rewards, their prices were always the best and I knew what to expect for their work. That all changed the last two years though when they began having massive production delays that were not compensated for. Multiple orders had to be escalated to supervisors and plant managers to try to get released and shipped. They keep touting "staffing issues" and "supply issues" for delays but have no problem continuing to sell the product. Even adding a "3-5 business day" addition to each production timeline as a buffer for "staffing issues" was not enough. As a marketing manager of a non-profit, we look for cost effective solutions for our materials but also need them in a timely and reliable manner. After orders have gone from two to three weeks in production to sometimes four and five I am now forced to look elsewhere for a company that will value not only my business but my time as well. Take a look at this order from April 5th that didn't ship until May 10th!

Off centered print job -

I have been a customer for many years but, after what they pulled with the last order, I wouldn't buy from them if they were the last printer on this planet.
My proofs were perfectly centered but both designs on my business cards were off center. I was able to make a solid case but they insisted they were not at fault.
They never did have good customer service but it appears that they are lowering the bar.
Vista Print does a much better reputation so, I will likely take my business there.
BTW: THE 100% CUSTOMER GUARANTEE ONLY APPLIES TO FIRST TIME CUSTOMERS.

On the files you submitted there was text that went past the red cut line on the template, unfortunately that is why it seemed to you that the cards were off center. Because you selected the Instant Online Proof, your files were not checked as you are confirming the files are print ready. If you had wanted us to check the files to make sure they are print ready, we do offer the manually processed PDF proof option. We are sorry that the cards did not come out how you expected, however we did print the files as they were supplied to us.

SHOCKING
February 24, 2022

I ordered from these people many times because of price but I but I guess you get what you pay for because many times the cards have been stuck together but I've never said nothing but this time I only got about 200 cards and I ordered 1000 and their response to my call was absolutely shocking still have not heard from them it's been 24 hours.

I liked the ordering process, except that I put 2 items into the cart and placed a 2900 dollar order and I did not realize that soon after that, GotPrint sent me an email saying the order was cancelled. There was no reason given.

Unfortunately, I didn't see the cancellation email until 3 days had passed and my project missed it's deadline. It turned out that you cannot put more than one order in the cart at a time (!). That was the reason given when I called. The customer service rep seemed like he didn't care.

Then, I apparently lost my password to log onto GotPrint's site and was locked out due to too many tries. GotPrint thinks it's my bank, what with all the "security" features. Finally, I was able to log in and place the order (I decided to only spend 1500 dollars) and was informed that I needed to pass a credit check be signing a form and providing copies of my drivers license and credit card because the order was over 600 dollars. This was NOT the case when I ordered (a 2900 dollar order) just 3 days prior; I merely furnished my card and purchased GotPrints services without the gauntlet.

At one point, my cart suddenly became empty after 15 minutes. They do warn that the cart will go empty in a relatively short time, but nowhere near 15 minutes.

I wonder what motivates GotPrint to do these things.

My order was processed and delivered as expected, but there was a hassle getting it done and it missed the deadline. For almost 3000 dollars, you'd think someone would call, rather than sending a cancellation via email.

Hi Max, I apologize for the experience you had with us. If it is your first order which was over $600 then yes, we do verify it with the bank to ensure that it is a real order. This is a security precaution for the both of us. Now that you have completed those steps, you can place any type of order with no max spending limit. As far as the cart kicking you out, we have a 90 minute limit, but you might have encountered a glitch on the website as we updated our side on the 30th at night. In that case, I would clear your cache to ensure there are no bugs. We are working to extend the cart so you can keep items in there longer. Thank you for your feedback as it helps us improve!

This is one of the worst printing companies I have ever dealt with. Placed an order on December 18. Needing them for January 5. Got the order on 12/21... complete garbage. Score lines in the back of cards, ink flaking off, cards cut off centered... just garbage. Made a quality control ticket, they AGREED that the cards were bad and started reprinting them. They told me that the quality control department agreed to overnight the new ones to me so I can have them today, January 4th. Well, they did not. The tracking says they will be here on January 9th. PAST THE DATE that I needed them by. This company has the worst customer service when THEY mess up the order. If it is important, don't trust GotPrint. I had to get them printed this morning through a local printer. They are charging me a rush fee of $90 plus the printing. Not only did Got Print send out a horrible print job that they had to reprint, but they sent out the reprint not as promised, and I am out even more money so I can get them in time. Now I am on chat waiting for a supervisor to call me. What complete incompetence!

Dear GotPrint Team,

It is with great disappointment and frustration that I feel compelled to leave this one-star review to express my dissatisfaction with GotPrint's services. I have been a customer for approximately 10 years through my internet marketing company, LaraNet.

First and foremost, I want to address the issue of production times, which have been extremely long and frustrating in my recent experience with your company. Just last week, I purchased the Reprint service for some business cards. Despite prices having increased significantly, now triple what they used to be, I was willing to continue with your company due to the high print quality you used to provide and the satisfaction I had with your customer service in the past.

However, my patience reached its limit when I connected to the live chat to inquire about the status of my order, as I noticed it was still in production long after the expected timeframe. When I expressed my frustration in a polite manner, I received a response that was nothing short of mockery from the chat representative, Janae G, who replied with a sarcastic Your Welcome! I cannot believe how a company can be so eager to lose customers. I expected a kind explanation and reassurance, but instead, I was met with a message that essentially said, I don't care if you go to another company. Seriously? After years of working with you, this is the first time I've complained, and this is the response I get? It's truly disappointing.

I would appreciate it if you could review the chat transcript. I was not rude, but the person who responded to me was. It's a shame.

I don't know what is more disgusting, their "VELVET TRIFECTA" or their VELVET CUSTOMER SERVICE... After years of business with them, they did not care to replace my order for something worth my money. I WILL NEVER EVER DO BUSINESS WITH THEM, LET ALONE RECOMMEND IT.

Hi Rochi, we're sorry to hear you feel this way. Our Trifecta paper is the same paper we have used since we first launched, so we are a bit confused as to what the issue is. The order was for our 24pt Trifecta paper, and as promised, we printed your order on our 24pt Trifecta paper. We reviewed your chats with our company and you stated the paper was thin. Please use a gauge to measure the cards as we can assure you, the cards are 24pt. As for the "velvet" texture, this is just a description of the paper. To get a true sense of what the paper will feel like, it is always best to request a free sample kit. Please let us know if you have any questions. Thank you

Having missed a deadline, GotPrint customer service promised to refund the expedited shipping charge.
After much back and forth, they now tell me the only way to refund my shipping charge is to RETURN the products, at my expense.

Dissatisfied customer

I have been ordering posters, banners, business cards, postcards and other items from a competitor for over 10 years but decided I wanted to have things printed in the USA so I tried GotPrint. I wasn't excited about how much their shipping was considering the cost of the poster that I ordered but I wanted to try them out. The next time I ordered was bad, it took over 10 days for shipping to arrive then it was the wrong size of poster. I should have know when they were on sale and I thought I ordered the correct size then I had a hard time getting into my account so I called and they said to get on their website but it would take 2 to 4 days for a response. So I did a chat seeing if I could get some help and same thing. I did open a ticket and told them how dissatisfied I was and they did actually email me back within 2 hours saying they would give me a $5 credit and I could put that toward my corrected order. Nothing about free shipping or anything, just that they were sorry I ordered the wrong size. This is the reason people don't want to buy or order from within! Very dissatisfied with the whole company. Find somewhere else to order from.

Their mistakes at your expense
December 13, 2022

I've had several issues receiving orders on time. I've paid for expedited production times (when applicable). I've had to call several times to remind them that I paid for expedited production times only to be told they don't honor them, EVEN THOUGH they charged me for expedited production, which is different than expedited shipping.

On 12/1/22 I ordered 100,5"x7" postcards, double sided, with rounded corners. I received them on time, but they didn't have rounded corners (which I was charged extra for) and they didn't trim the bleed off. Therefore, the cards didn't fit in the corresponding A7 envelope.

They initially offered to refund ONLY the cost of the rounded corners, ignoring the fact that the card size was still incorrect. I also provided pictures as proof. They then offered a full refund if I paid to ship them back. So I'm out more money to get some of my money back.

They don't call back when they say they will. Supervisors are "finishing up on a call" and will call back when the next one is available. It's been over a week and I have to different issues waiting to be dealt with by a supervisor.

I ordered from this company as I needed some stickers quickly and their delivery dates were the soonest. I ordered and got my design approved on the same day. From there it's been over a week and they still haven't shipped. They claim their production time for stickers is 2-5 days, then whatever shipping you paid for. I paid for overnight. To my understanding with production time and shipping, they should have arrived by now. It really wouldn't be a big deal, but the customer service was so unkind for absolutely no reason. I reached out to them as I haven't heard about anything shipping and I need them this week. Everyone I talked to told me to "consider production time" as if I hadn't done that? I know things take time to make, but it's way past the amount of time they told me so I am obviously a bit upset about it? I got no help, no explanation as to why it's taken longer, and that I'll get an email when it ships. I paid 30 extra dollars to get the stickers overnight and by the date they told me, and they have yet to even ship so what was the point in giving them extra money? Especially when they treated me like I was stupid?

Prices Are Good, Timeliness, Not So Much
April 14, 2022

I've used Got Print for various jobs and had very good luck until recently. My last order was completed and supposedly ready for shipping on March 28th. It's now April 14th and still no order. They don't really respond with any sense of empathy and such. They just use a canned message and blame us for choosing economy shipping. All my orders in the past used economy shipping and they got to me quickly. The package weighs less than a pound and they need 20+ days to get it to you after completion? Not to mention they charge $6.95 for shipping. I could have rode my bike to them and got these cards quicker. Probably another foreign company that is Nickle and diming to make bank on shipping charges. Right now it looks like I'm not getting the little order until April 21. My new staff have no business cards and all they do is send these defensive emails that sound as if an AI computer wrote them. Good Bye Got Print, Hello Staples! Or Vista Print, or Moo or any of the many online printers. Too bad, they used to be good and had efficient shipping. Now they are a joke.

I had worked with many printers, from the good old days of lithography, both sheet, and web, to today's digital printing- When I first used Got Print back around 2010-11, I was blown away by their quality, speed, and pricing. Mostly their pricing. I did many small - medium-sized jobs and never had an issue. I enjoyed picking up those jobs too. (might be addicted to the smell of printers ink)
Well, all went to hell on this last job. And adding to the fact there is NO REAL customer service (outside of Jose, who is terrific), I decided to stop using GP. The loss of business my jobs bring will not alter their business in any way. But I can not see GP growing when a customer has to wait 15 min on the phone to talk to someone who does not know anything about printing and can't get someone on the phone that does. Blame it on Covid or the lack of people that want to work. I blame it on the owners of GP, who probably found they could make more money to buy more excellent cars or bigger houses. Well for me I did not accept it. I have found an actual customer-focused online printer and look forward to my first delivery next week.
If you, too, experience terrible customer service with GP, know many online printers will deliver the same high-quality dot and be there to answer questions or needs.

Our ad agency has a global non-profit client who was sending out thousands of mailers at Christmas time 2018. They depend on donors' giving each year end to make it possible to supply clean water to those in need in 3rd countries each year. We placed an order early, back in November, to ensure that we gave GotPrint plenty of turn-around time.

Promised delivery day after promised delivery day kept coming and going... Rather than just tell us they couldn't get to our projects in time to go out ahead of Christmas, GotPrint customer support kept stringing us along saying they apologized, we'll get it to you the next day or in two days, which didn't happen until Friday, Dec 21. Furthermore, we asked for a morning delivery, but they arrived mid-afternoon, so we had no man time available to complete the project in time for our Christmas mailer! All of their stringing along prevented our team from using another vendor for this client's projects. It's costing us thousands of dollars with our client, and GotPrint has not offered to reimburse us for a penny of it, only strung us along until we were hopeless! I highly recommend NOT using GotPrint, as we no longer will.

I went back and forth with this company for nearly two weeks on my raised foil business card. I hired a professional graphic designer who followed their instructions on their website. They sent error messages back 5 times. Each time they would alternate what the apparent problem was. Three of the times it was that the bleed wasn't large enough. We used their templates and verified numerous times that the bleed was accurate. So we made an even larger bleed. That still didn't meet their requirements. I thought maybe it was an error with their system, so I sent FIVE options through email. Still not good enough. So they cancelled my order. They proceeded to call me to tell me that it was still an issue on my end and that someone from their senior staff looked and agrees. Well I just submitted the files with a new company and it was immediately approved and accepted within hours. So this issue has nothing to do with the files on my end. And based on their BBB reviews (numerous other complaints on their from other customers with same issues), I am not the only person who has had this same experience in the last week alone.

Terrible customer service now!

I've been a customer for over 15 years. Thousands of dollars of orders. Customer service is absolutely horrible now. I just submitted an order of folders. They replied the artwork was wrong that I needed to resubmit. Earlier today I emailed *******@gotprint.com and requested someone call me to tell me exactly what's wrong with the artwork. I tried to resubmit new, fixed files, but their uploading page is having issues. It says the artwork doesn't extend to the edge (but it does). I contacted customer service and the agent (Brenda G.) said sorry, nothing we can do "I don't have a workout for that." What?!?! You're a printing company, get an email address where people can send the files. Get an account with senditnow or something like that. So I canceled. The agent didn't even know where I should click to cancel the order! I'm looking for a new printing company. Been with these guys for so long, but their bad customer service is killing them.

UPDATE: Just got a call from a customer service rep. They didn't understand the notes and what was wrong with the file either! Really funny. She tried to explain it and then goes "Wait, this doesn't make any sense!" Yep, exactly. You need to have your artwork guys (who actually do the printing) call and explain exactly what's wrong with the artwork. I've communicated with THREE different customer service agents today, and non of them could clearly explain to me what was wrong with the artwork so I could fix it. Also, if your upload page is having issues (and this is all you do for a living) you need an alternate way to upload files for when that page isn't working!

I've placed a total of 4 orders of EDDM postcards, starting from 800 cards to 2500 card orders. The first order had zero issues, but every order of 2500 cards has been well below that amount. What is the point of placing an order for 2500 but always get less. Maybe they assume that no one will actually count the total number of cards in each order. Their first resolution was a minor discount on the next order, but considering it's still been underprinted each time, what is the point. Otherwise, they'll just state they completed the order correctly. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THEM AND FIND ANOTHER PRINT COMPANY!

When we print, we print 20 to 30 different orders on huge sheets of card or paper for orders with the same card or paper stock and for the same quantity. We would also print additional sheets that are used to calibrate the printers so there would be overages. However, it does look like we are having an issue with the 2500 quantities that they may not be printing the correct amount, we are in the process of correcting this so it does not occur again in the future.
