Bad service and cheating
One of the the bad Air ticketing company

Regarding my air ticket rebooking I spoke with one of the call centers agent Ms. Jashvidya
She told me I have to pay extra 1530 Aed and she sent me link 1890 Aed.

They are charging for rebooking huge amount I compare amount with Air line company is cheaper.

I call from UAE to UK one and half hour They are Unsatisfied answers

Please stay away from this so called travel agent.
After almost 1,5 month I have still not received the 1000 usd I payed for 5 flight tickets that I never received.
I have been on the phone and chatted with several people and spend hours explaining the situation over and over again because they refuse to send me e-mails or anything else about the status of my case and the informations I submitted.
After answering the same questions over and over again they just claim that some rare technical error occured and that my money will be refunded shortly. Nothing has happened yet.
Our Bank is now also on the case trying to get the money back. So far without succes. I want to report GO TO GATE to the police for theft of my 1000 USD but I dont know how. If anyone has similar experience or managed to get their money back I would love to hear from you.
Right now I feel helpless, confusion and extremely dissapointed that a big Company like GTG can treat their costumers like that with no consequences.

I have booked airticket through GoToGate on 17 may from Dhaka to Newyork Turkish airline with my family member. I showed my daughter full name missing, my daughter full name UMME SADIA TABASSUM, whereas it was written UMME TABASSUM in the booking page. I emailed customer center but they give automatic reply not any solution, Please inform me how to make correction the name.

Purchased a flight ticket from Gotogate
Purchased a flight ticket from Gotogate and noticed 3 months before my flight that my second last name is missing from the confirmation,, contacted them to make the cahnge but they refused claiming that only the airline (TAP portugal) can proceed with the change, called the airline who confirmed that Gotogate are known for not fulfilling their obligations with the customers and that TAP portugal only access the tickets 48h before the flight. I was booking a flight with a flexible ticket from Booking.com with Austrian for my Mum. I paid extra for the flexible ticket as I knew that she may want to stay a bit longer to help with grandkids, who she has not seen for 3 years. I called customer service to rebook it a week before (not 24hrs as advertised) departure. They asked for few hours because of some glitch - could happen. I called back next day 3am EST just to make sure I get through early on. Same issue - promised an e-mail, never received. Called another guy, still blamed the system. Elevated to level 2/3/urgent care helpdesk. Promised a call back - nothing. Finally, after 24 hours of calls and clearly more vocal about my dissatisfaction I finally got a link with a $223 extra fare change. Was not cheap, but was happy to pay as worked long hours and needed some help. I got updated ticket - which was the original ticket I had. Called back. Another person. Another 90 minutes. I got a new call back that the price is (for a one way ticket) is $1,600 (more than the original with all insurance). I found the same ticket - for the same date for $496. These guys are literally full of sh*t even if their customer team was polite.

NEVER EVER, EVER AGAIN
Duped into their slightly cheaper quoted price, I booked one bag as always the same or less as airline charge in past bookings with others web booking sites. OH NO! Checked my booking on NORWEGIAN airlines website and NO check in bag appeared.
They arranged this matter for a week, but did not bother to inform me.
Saw that the NORWEGIAN price is £35 and Gotogate charged £59!
After 13 days Email responses from them said:
"We have checked baggage purchased with us is clearly visible on the airline website, we would request you to check it once again. Moreover we encourage our passenger to book extra services from the airline directly if in case passengers wants to book through us we follow our price structure which includes our commission therefore in case there is nothing which can be done."
Additional Email responses from them said:
"We would like to inform you that the baggage allowance and price can vary from the airline's website and a travel agency website.
We are therefore unable to refund any amount in this regard."
They lie brazenly and this is explanation how they make money!

Never go with GOTO GATE. Absolutely the most useless company I have ever purchased from.

I tried to get them to help me and they forced me to pay fees. When I refused to pay these fees because these changes were out of my control, I spoke to management and supervisors who assured they would help me. 2 months go by and have received absolutely no help or communication. In the end I lost $320 AUD because of service fees, non-refundable taxes and non-refundable extras I bought from this company.

Absolutely please do not use this company. Extremely exploitative to charge money for a refund I was forced to get because the Australian government will not let me travel due to Corona Virus. I bought these tickets prior to flight restrictions and it meant absolutely nothing. Do not use Go To gate. You vote with every dollar.

Horrible experience with gotogate, I made a round-trip reservation (number M4C9JD)from Rome to Manila, and when I came back they canceled my reservation due to a change in the schedule of one of the two flights, leaving me stranded in the Philippines with the feeling of helplessness and helplessness that this produced in me and my partner, while they resold my flight for twice the money that I had bought it, increasing their benefits even more. They switched the date on my booking. When I called to find out why, After holding on for 1hr finally got through to an agent who said they cannot change it to the date I wanted and would get a superior to call me within 24hrs. I then asked if I could cancel the flight altogether, they said I could but wouldn't get anything. This was the 18th of December 2021. Today is the 2nd of January 2022, They have not even bothered to respond to me.

I tried calling them again, and after holding for 35mins, they finally answer. The man on the line asked me to hold for 2 or 3 mins, I agreed. Then he asked me to hold gain for 2 to 3 mins as it was "taking long" to find a matching flight. Then this time, he just dropped the call.

Avoid Gotogate Travel Agency if You Don't Want to Lose Your Money
Due to travel restrictions imposed by the governments of Portugal and France, my wife and I were forced to cancel our flight to Paris (two months in advance from departure). All I got from Gotogate was a template email (twice) telling me that they could cancel for a $250 (per person) fee plus a $75 (per person) for the airline, Air Portugal. We are a retired elderly couple with limited resources and now, we are bound to lose $650 on this booking and no one in Gotogate seems to be interested in our plea for a full refund. This booking was forced by COVID-19 European government regulations, not by our own choice. However, they don't seem to be interested in this fact and, instead, GotoGate seems to be trying to profit from the pandemic misery and imposed government restrictions by charging "cancellation fees". Lousy people to deal with. I wouldn't recommend anyone to book with them. User's recommendation: Avoid this online travel agency!
