The website was easy to navigate and book from. The only confusing thing was paying for seat selection and having to pay again on the airline site.
Customer service took over an hour, putting me on hold every 5 min. No refund, change of flight required a payment higher than the original tocket, around 1000 usd, awful.

Booked airfare through their site in early May. Realized I had made a mistake with my vacation dates so I asked for a refund. Here we are, almost the end of Summer, couldn't afford to fork out another $500, so my family's vacation didnt happen. I'm still out almost $500, and their customer service is a joke. Snarky, spiteful, smartass replies are what I've been getting repeatedly when I've all but begged them for my money back. *WARNING* DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!
The best rates you can have is in Gotogate! I have booked for 4 destinations with different companies and never I had problems.

I spent 8 hours straight trying to rebook a flight that has been canceled (I didn't succeed yet FYI). The airline compagnies said that they can do nothing since the request came from Gotogate. It seems that all their employees have issues with their "booking system", It makes you believe that the whole thing is just a big scam (which I think is definitely the case). Plus for no reason they hang up in the middle of the conversation and you have to call again and wait 1 hour as if nothing happened. I never had such a bad experience with any travel agency, I DO NOT RECOMMEND GOTOGATE to anyone! This company is a JOKE and a big SCAM.
At the airport under pressure to book return tickets back home, misspelled 3 letters in total between my son & I, called to correct advised to pay a service fee charge of $62 AUD EACH to change the name. Then got an email a few days later to advise we had to pay $1900 AUD to correct our names on the airline! I paid $1820 for return flights for 2x adults & 2x children and they wanted my to pay $1900 to change 3 letters! Canceled the flight, still waiting on service fee refund and was advised they couldn't refund me my flights back even though I had cancelled three days before the flight. Will NEVER USE THEM AGAIN! Complete frauds & their customer service reps are $#*!! Don't know how to read & answer questions! Total scammers and fraud agency!

I have NEVER encountered such appalling service from any web agency before! They are giving me the runaround with regards to my flight cancellations and refund that was due to COVID-19. I have emailed and rung them SEVERAL times since Mar 16th and a bunch of incompetent call centre staff keep telling to contact the airline for a waiver authority code or else I wont get my refund! I already know that the travel agency need to ring the airline (since I paid them not the airline) but I rang the airline anyway and they told me what I already know! I am beside myself as i am not getting any help or resolution from GotoGate and might as well kiss my $$ goodbye. I WILL NEVER BOOK WITH THEM AGAIN AND WILL WARN OFF ANYONE ELSE WANTING TO BOOK WITH ETRAVELI OR GOTOGATE.

GotoGate then emailed about a possible cancelation and that I would beed to apply for a voucher for Turkish Airlines flight
Tried to call to resolve the issue - First call on hold - 2 hours no answer
Tried again to resolve the issue - Second call - answered after 2 hours
Horrendous with a lack of knowledge - makes you try and rearrange your own flights whilst adding fees.
Promised his manager would call back - no call
Tried again to resolve the issue - Third call answered after 45mins - told voucher may take 2 weeks and that I will have to buy a completely new flight (not mentioned before).
Such a bad experience that it must be a scam

In July 2020, I booked a flight (through Gotogate, an Etraveli subsidairy) only to have it cancelled. After waiting on the phone for nearly 5 hours, they rebooked my flight for the next week (for a fee) and then cancelled that flight as well. I then spent the better part of a day trying to get a REFUND (over 4 hours on and off hold with them).
After several months (in 14 November 2020) I receive an email that they have received the funds from the airline and they are "Waiting to process payout" (I confirmed with All Nippon Airways that the refund to them occurred on the 2nd November). At the time of this review (29 January 2021) I am still waiting.
Do yourself a favor and never use this company for any travel bookings.

Booked a flight to go to Paris in March through gotogate to fly on NorweginAir. It was obviously cancelled because of the pandemic. I got ONE email from gotogate that was just a forwarded Norwegian email saying my flight was cancelled. Like any other person, I went to check the gotogate website to see what I could do for a refund and it basically said don't contact them because they already have such a high volume of calls/emails so just let them handle things. My fault for still not calling in right then and there. I put in a claim with Norwegian for a refund just in case and I got no response so I assumed I needed to be more patient with the current circumstances. It's now July and I still haven't heard anything so I called Norwegian, they said it was already refunded but the card they read wasn't mine. Norwegian explained its likely because I used a 3rd party travel agency. So I called gotogate, was on hold for about 20 minutes, and was told they'd have to contact Norwegian first to confirm my flight was cancelled so they could process the refund And I'd get an email when that happened. Well it's been a week since then, still waiting for the email. How long should this take when it's already been 4 months since the flights were cancelled and Norwegian said it's already been refunded..
I will never use a 3rd party provider to purchase flights again, after my experience with Go to Gate.
Like many others, our flights were affected by COVID and border closures. We contacted Go to Gate on numerous occasions who repeatedly denied any assistance or compensation, stating that the airline in question (Virgin Australia) did not support cancellations or flight credits due to COVID, which was categorically untrue.
Even after providing evidence on the airlines website that their "Passenger Promise" offered free cancellations or flight credits, GtG still denied that this was the case and denied any support.
I originally spent over an hour waiting to speak to their agents, who subsequently hung up on me after I provided evidence that their claims were untrue, and am currently on hold again, waiting to resolve my issue.
Please note also that I paid extra to upgrade our support package, however the expedited service promised has not been provided by the vendor.
In summary, please do not use this company to book your tickets... EVER. Even if their fares seem slightly lower, you will pay through the nose in case of disruption and receive a fraction of the support that an airline would provide if you purchased directly through them.
I am currently still on hold waiting to resolve my issue after several days on trying, I wouldn't wish this experience with this unethical vendor on anyone.
BUYER BEWARE! Absolutely disgraceful customer service and a total rip-off. I booked a return flight which was cancelled due to Covid. I contacted the airline for a refund who advised l was entitled and they would make a note against my booking, but that l had to go back to the agent to start the process. Long story short, Gotogate advised l could have a refund for one flight and a credit for the other. After an exhausting 9 months of emails, online submissions and phone calls in trying to get a refund for both flights, l finally received a refund less the hefty handling charge for one flight. I was told in writing that l could use the other flight as a credit prior to 3 June 2021. I was further advised that even though l had paid for flexible flight changes, l wasn't entitled to change
Outside of 24hrs of flying. Today l rang to book a flight with my credit but was advised l was too late and the credit had expired. I queried the date as this was contrary to their email and was within the 12 months of the intended departure date. I explained this had been dragged out by them because they had not provided a suitable resolution in time for me to use a credit which they have now withdrawn. I was told if l wanted to complain l could do it online. Do not book with Gotogate, ever! No matter what response Gotogate come back with, the fact is they did not help me at all through the process, nor pass on the refund that the airline had said l was entitled to, they delayed the outcome then retracted the credit. If they are interested in rectifying this, l want my refund.
I was rejected from my flight this morning at Manchester airport, due to a rejection of my VALID COVID test... When I called "gotogate" to change my flight 3 hours before my flight, I was on hold for 45 minutes before I got through to a customer representative, we were in the process of changed the flight when they put me on hold again for 3-4 minutes, then hung up on me. I then called back and was in hold again for over an hour at which point my original flight had already taken off. I called them back and again, I have currently been on hold for over an hour and a half. They finally picked up, but there is only background noise... There is someone speaking in the background in a foreign language but they have not aknowledge my voice or continued asking if anyone is there... There are just people singing and talking...
I've tried the ibot as well, with zero luck... It ended up only being a review service... Not an actual customer service, service...

I booked a ticket using their website and it was stated that you could get 8kg bag but when I paid I could only get a backpack on board (small carry on less than 8kg) and when I tried to contact them they kept fighting with me and didn't help even though I just wanted a refund or atleast more weight I called them 4 times used their email and everything but they don't even answer anymore they also stated a price on the website but afed I paid I realised its a higher price than what was stated so in conclusion they are scammers never work with them and their customer service is just bull$#*! never booking a flight with them again and I don't advise anyone to work with them horrible experience
I have had two flights cancelled that I booked with them, one by the airline Jetstar and one by myself with Qatar.
Jetstar refunded me the luggage charge booked separately on 12/05/20 and state they refunded the agency 09/05/20. I have had no contact from Gotogate on this, and more importantly no refund. The Qatar flight is more complicated. I couldn't get in touch with either Qatar Airways or Gotogate to transfer my flight home from Perth to Melbourne, where we were now essentially stuck. I resorted acting under British F. C. O. Guidelines to book our tickets home direct with Qatar Airways £2182. 59 (Three times the original price). I didn't cancel my original flight from Perth 04/05/2020 until I arrived home, as I had had flights cancelled prior to this. I arrived home 07/04/20 and cancelled the original flight the next day. The original flight cost around £700.00 and I have requested a refund for this. I am still not sure whether Gotogate have requested this or not, as their communication skills are poor. The last I heard was that Gotogate should apply for the refund through Qatar Airways, that from Qatar Airways, Gotogate tell me I should apply through Qatar Airways direct. As a previous complainant has said, Gotogate were incommunicado for all of the time I was in Australia trying to get home. I can't see this company existing much longer. Any emails I have had come from Etraveli Group, what is that all about?
